The service from drive-up to to drive-away is very good. They start work on your vehicle immediately and send you a video of the inspection. I like this.Johnny was very helpful and his customer service approach is noticeably genuine and not scripted and by the numbers - which is appreciated.My car is running smoothly and they did a thorough job for me.I had to bring my dogs with me on the day of service and I thought it would be difficult but instead it was great. I spent $28,000 on a used pickup. (at Schmelz Countryside Volkswagen).Within 200 miles after leaving the dealers lot the service engine light came on. I called and messaged my salesman, after he checked with management I was informed that it was my problem. If I wanted to bring the truck to their service department I could do so but I would have to pay for them to scan the engine code.I can go to Auto Zone or OReilly and get that done for free! If you purchase any thing from them DO NOT expect anything after they get your money.After taking my truck to a shop they hooked it up to a computer. It read that the check engine light had came on 250 miles before I bought it and had been reset. So either the dealer reset it or the person trading in truck did it. But point is Schmelz County Side Volkswagen customer service and Management did NOTHING. Even after stating on here to call them, when I did call I did not get a call back. They have ALL my contact info. I bought a truck from them. I spent $250.00 had it fixed and continue to tell anyone interested that they took advantage of a service connected disabled Veteran. (In my opinion).

This place is a joke. I will never in my life take my car here.They lied to me, by telling me my car had 3 oil leaks in 3 different places, they need it to get fix ASAP. They said the price to fix was going to be over 3,000. It was all a joke and a lie, a month already and i dont see a drop of oil leaking.Plus they over charged me for the services i requested. I got mad at them and they lowered the price a little bit

I have ben coming to Schmelz since 2001. Ive been, on the whole, satisfied with the service. The staff has explained what service was done and done a video so I can see what was done.

Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had some issues arise during the delivery which were corrected within a few days. Kevin was very professional and helpful throughout the whole process. The only advice I would give is to try and stream line the communication lines. At times during the purchase one hand didn’t seem to know what the other was doing so to speak. But overall I’m very happy with the vehicle.

Schmelz countryside was very efficient repairing my VW Diesel Jetta. All the repairs were covered under warranty. When I got the vehicle back there was another check engine light that needed attention. I had to take it back and they dealt with the problem right away. Communication was excellent especially between the mechanic Jon Raye and myself.

I recently brought a car and needed an oil change along with a check up. I arrived at the service door and was greeted, very welcoming. Service agent welcome me, asked what I needed done on the car. I explained my case and he was very professional and understanding about it. From there, everything was outstanding, they showed me my vehicle and explain what needed to be done. I ve never been to a dealer service where they show you and explain to what was wrong with your car with the mechanic. I am talking about the garage area. Dealers usually dont do that. I would recommend this dealer service. First time there and it was a great experience.Albert.

This was by far the best service experience Ive ever had. Not only was everyone polite and helpful, but it was well organized, I was continually updated throughout, and Schmelz made sure all of my concerns were addressed. Recently had an issue with my VW Alltrack and took it in to VW Schmelzs service center. The whole experience, from drop off to getting my rental to fixing my car went incredibly smoothly. Couldnt be happier with how well the service center handled getting my vehicle back to 100%.

My service was poorly managed. I made an apt. to test drive I a car. I get there and the car wasnt able to be driven. later on I received a call that I can come back and test drive the car. I went to see the car and it was not the one that I had asked to see and what they said they had. Waste of a day.

Got a new ID.4 last week. Everything was simple and straightforward, no unexpected fees or high pressure pitches for add-ons. I appreciate Schmelz for making it easy.

First and foremost the salesperson who helped me, Trevor, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the product. However the buying experience here was atrocious. They dont advertise theyre a one price dealer yet they refuse to negotiate. Its hard to feel like youre getting a good deal on a vehicle when theres no freebies like car washes or a fuel discount like some of the other dealers. I was really struggling to get my purchase completed and they made the process downright hectic and stressful because they refused to accept a personal check and insisted on a cashiers check for my down payment less than 24 hours before I was scheduled to complete my purchase. After I insisted they do something, their sales manager was too busy to see me despite how dissatisfied I was. They eventually threw in some license plate brackets. Theyre also sorely lacking in dealer options, for example I wanted to have my windows tinted which they dont do. I dont feel like I got a good deal, I still dont feel good about my purchase after some time has passed, I wasnt able to get everything I wanted, and it was much harder than it needed to be. Because of a communication error on their part, which they refused to take any more than a sliver of responsibility for, my buying experience stunk. They didnt even send me on my way with a full tank of gas.

I didnt buy the first day and he followed up with me in a timely manner, but wasnt on top of me, either. He really made the whole process very easy and painless. I loved my last Fiat 500 and now I love my new Fiat 500L, too! Fun, unique cars!

Car was in for an oil change and to have the radio checked out as it turns off randomly throughout the day. Had a scheduled appointment & since we live in Forest Lake, we dropped the car off the evening before our appointment. Was disappointed when I was told mid day that there were some delays and my car had not yet made it to the shop. At 4 PM was told there were problems in the shop and they would like to keep my car for an extra day. That did not work because we were heading out of town the next day. And was disappointing because we had been with one car for the entire day - which we planned for because I depend on my car for work. But even if we had been staying in town, a second day without my vehicle would not have worked for mine & my husband’s schedules. They were able to get it in for the oil change before the end of the day but the radio was not looked at. That means I will need to schedule another appointment, drive down again to drop off my vehicle and be without my car again. I understand things happen but I did have a scheduled appointment and did expect my service to be completed on the day of my appointment.

Just bought a brand new Taos. Tim Kullman (sales), Ryan (finance) were great to work with. Got a better loan than my pre-approved Credit Union loan! Love the car and the fact that it was a low-pressure, friendly experience!

If I could rate this zero stars I would. One of the worst experiences of my life. They caused an issue with my car and then made me pay for them to fix it.

I am extremely satisfied with the service I received. I went in for an oil change and they found some issues under warranty that they communicated with me before doing. I received a video of the work done so I can really understand (really cool), and I was spoken to in a way that allowed me to understand what the issues were. Very impressive!

Parts very very overpriced Could have had job done for under 600.00 by non vw garage but thought Id have a pro do it Did I make a mistake. Video was a farce to try to make money. I dont believe the pictures were of my car other than the front bumper shot. Why replace all bolts. Why was everything classed type c reconditioned. I would hate to know what a oil change cost if it cost 37.27 to replace a drain plug and washer. You should be ashamed of yourself as a company.
