Its easy to give good customer service when everything goes right, but I measure a companys excellence on how they handle things when something goes wrong. I was at the store earlier in the week to pick up an item I had ordered online. I received the email that the item was ready, and I was directed to follow a link to alert the store that I had arrive. I did so, and got a confirmation message that said theyd be right out. Seven minutes later, and there didnt appear to be any movement. I did see people entering and exiting the store, but not with my item. I called the store and eventually it was brought to me. The problem? The system hadnt notified them I was waiting. When I received an email survey about my experience, I gave the feedback. To my complete delight, I received an email (in under an hour) from a store representative acknowledging the problem and having compassion for my situation and apologizing for the inconvenience.Thank you, Anthony, for taking the time to listen and respond! Ill be back.
Nikki in the print service center at Maplewood location has been truly amazing to work with! Shes a great communicator, cheerful, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Thank you for going over and above, Nikki!
Usually not a big fan of going into office supplies stores - but this time it was different! The service provided by associate Xang Lee was amazing! Went above and beyond to ensure my print out looked its best. 5/5 Thanks for the awesome tips! :)
I bought an Asus monitor and an LG monitor online, the LG was wonderful and I love it, the Asus was defective. I tried to return it to the store, they couldnt return it in the store because they dont carry it there and dont have it in their computer system so they told me to call an 800 number. I called the 800 number and they said they couldnt process the return because it was shipped from the manufacturer and they would call me back. Its been a week and I havent heard anything.I left a review of the monitor on the website and it was moderated and removed. I will never shop there again.
Im really only giving 2 stars because they refunded me on both my problem orders.I ordered marketing docs to be printed. The first batch came back with a white border around the document. I was informed I needed to communicate I did not want this border despite nowhere on the online tool did it say it would come with said border. Frustrating, but not the end of the world. I was issued a refund and instructed how to communicate this to the print center (which is literally me typing in the additional notes to remove the border.. not an actual option when going through the tool).Fast forward to my reprint coming back and MY GOD it was terrible. They apparently hand cut the pages if you dont want the border. The edges were crooked and some STILL showed a white border. Some of the cuts even cut off the wording on the document. All the pages were cut differently and of very poor quality. I had honestly wished at this point I had just gone with the white border ones because at least they were even. The issues may seem small but when you are needing professional marketing documents to represent your company it is CRUCIAL that they look professional. Local printing companies cost more but I have never had issues with the quality of work. I will not return to OfficeMax for printing needs. The pricing is what got me but I have learned the low price equates poor quality.
Terrible service. John transferred me to a supervisor who did not pick up the phone for over 8 minutes and was then rude and totally unhelpful. Office Max is only allowing online ordering with curbside pickup at this time so Im not sure why the total phone call would take 15 minutes with a total talk time of 45 seconds. I realize this is a difficult time for businesses - mine too - but customer service should still be the most important thing.
Most helpful employees, quick fast service. Special shout out to Bre and Stephie who helped me
Staff is quick to offer help. I knew what I wanted to start, so hard to say level of knowledge. When 1st store didnt have in stock employee was very helpful getting item put on hold at another store for me to go pick up (I couldnt wait for the item to ship).
Great selection of printers, computers, laptops and all the items you need for home or office. They also have a versatile printing center and a friendly staff.
Excellent service. Informative explanations. Patient, kind, and respectful people. I always choose the Maplewood store for these reasons.
I do not recommend this place because 1 time I went there to have a pic printed but theHmong worker who work there said that he does not know how to adjust the size of the pic. Then the next day I found another worker named Tony and he helped me and did well. But last week when I went again and both the hmong worker and Tony were working and when I told Tony that I want him to do it for me because the Hmong worker does not know how to do it. Tony told me that he will not do it for no reason and told me to let the Hmong worker to do it. And I did not even do it.
The staff here is very helpful. We had some photos to print, which Fed Ex in Maplewood could not do, but Office Max was easily able to do it for us. The workers are friendly and willing to help out with any questions. They will look for items in stock and if they dont have it in-store, they are willing to order it.
Very friendly and helpful employees! I have always found what I need. Never left waiting and easy checkout.
They had a great selection of ink cartridges! They had my old lexmarks! The sales clerks were mostly helpful, some of the stuff was shown on the Shelf as a picture but they didnt stock it. But I suppose this makes sense in this day and age. The one guy lost his name tag in the wash, hoped the storm would put out the power so he could go home early, and his fly was open. Its hard finding good help these days! LOL
Looks like non of the 3 people there know about the ink-stamp product...only one was willing to help but I didnt have time to wait more.
Went for binders. Service has always been decent.
Pleasant helpfull people working there. Close to freeways makes getting there a good thing.
Huge selection, awesome staff, treated great everytime Im in there
Waiting forever for someone to help me, and then got a very nice young lady who didnt have a clue about office furniture.
I shop at Officemax/depot often. So not a knock on them as a chain, just this store. I looked online for a highback office chair. Found more than in stock for around $99. When I got there I only found one of them (or at least i thought). I compared that one and one at $129. I liked the one at $129 more, but thought the price was worth putting up with the stiffness etc. The woman employee went and got one from back. Before she did I saw her pull something from tag on floor model. I assumed to get stock number. When we got up to register, to my surprise the chair came to over $200. That would be bad enough, but we went back to look. She claimed no one could have removed it. When I asked what she took off before, she denied it. Its one thing to make a mistake, its another to out right lie. Again this is not a knock on the company, just the employee that i suspect she was a manager. I did buy the other chair at $129. It was a better deal anyway.Update: about 1 year later the chair I bought didnt last, junk already in the garbage.
Wrong strip mall! Just go to best buy. Its past their parking lot. Next to D.C
Very helpful the minute you walk in the door. Supplies were short today but would go back again.
They have a new staff. Much more knowledgeable and friendlier. They like to help you.
Derek was so outstanding. Helpful. Friendly.
North of the mall, not west of the mall. That took some figuring out, as Google maps had me going to another strip mall where (apparently) they used to be until recently. So, you know, heads up I guess?
Very helpful staff made purchase of new tower/cpu quick and painless.
They have all of your office supply needs.
Whoa! Went here to get the last of our school supplies. Seriously, EVERYTHING is at least 2x as expensive, and sometimes literally 5x the price at Walmart for the exact same products! The selection isnt even that great, considering they only sell office supplies.
You can always find a good deal and you can recycle ink cartridges.
I wouldnt even give it a 1. The copy machine was having problems, but yet they dont let customers know until after the fact. Then to find out what they had fax went blank to where it needed to go. Very disappointed waste of the money will NEVER go again!!!
Printing service is wonderful. The customer service on the floor is okay. Not the best.
Nicole in printing is very helpful and friendly!
Bogus location.wasted one hour finding it. Tried calling it no one answers the phone. Adress is appliance smart. Ultimarly went to office depo Rosedale. Bought school suplies for my kids.

Nice office supply store
A bit pricey and not a lot of selection. staff have always been kind tho
Clean Store and employees seem to be kind of shy to say hi and ask for help.
Very good experience
Moderate selection of office supplies, prices a bit high...
Not good at all.
Hard a staff member go out of their way to help me solve a major problem.
