I had a wonderful experience at this location. Sydney quickly identified my preference of style for glasses and brought me the best options. The eye exam with Dr. Liu-Wu was great as well. She was personable and very knowledgeable with any questions I had. I was also delighted to have my new prescription glasses done within an hour after picking them out. I highly recommend them and I will definitely be back!1

Wow!! Besides Dr Philipp being the best Optometrist out there. Today I spent quality time with Tosh, a sales associate/customer service rep! Tosh is truly THE BEST!!! Not once did I feel rushed with her. I had a million questions, trying to get the best bang for my buck, and she was so patient! She helped me get both contacts and new glasses all within my price range! She was honest, kind and so helpful! I had a great time there, and I usually never say that about any appointment. Tosh and I had some great laughs! Thank you, Tosh, for being so kind! You definitely made my day that much better!

I took my daughter to Pearle Vision in the Maplewood Mall 09/04/21, to pick out a pair of new glasses. everyone there was very nice. I had a slight issue with the older lady that took the prescription and showed us the glasses. after about 10 minutes of my daughter sitting and trying on glasses, this particular lady starts coming over to us rushing my daughter, telling her how she has to start cleaning the glasses in the tray, because she has someone else who wants to look them. my daughter and I looked at one another puzzled. we said OK and my daughter kept trying on glasses. mind you, my daughter had four drawers of glasses to look at, try on, and choose from. How did this woman think she would be able to do all of that In 10 minutes? I also didnt see anyone there waiting tolook at the glasses like she claimed. So, I dont know what that was all about either. The next time I come to this location, I would definitely ask for someone else!!

They had so much patience with my sons! 3people in my family had appointments so we were there for a while but the staff was great the entire time!

Horrible experience Im from out of town they didnt have my script said it take 3 weeks usually they are nice enough to give u a sample pair until the others come in especially when its emergency situation where I dont have my glasses with me and Im traveling worst costumer service ever never will I go to any pearle vision again good thing the other vision place in the mall was happy to helpe

Do not recommend this store for eye exams, new frames or new lenses for existing frames. You will be put thru unnecessary eye tests that other eye clinics do not even do unless a specific medical issue exists. This is because they have new medical equipment to pay for and they just want to bill your insurance in order to receive payment from your insurance company. Did not get straight answers to questions asked of eye dr. A lot of going around in circles and never received a straight answer. On top of it, if you have existing frames, it is extremely common that all of a sudden your frames were “accidentally” broken by the optician so now you have to get new frames too. But there’s more...those new lenses with your new prescription will take three weeks to receive because you guessed it, “there is a shortage due to Covid!” Ha! Please! Now you have to wait three MORE weeks also for the new lenses and when they come in and are placed into the new frame, you will wait two hours, not one hour as advertised so plan ahead! By the time I had a complete pair of glasses with the new correct eye prescription it was 9 weeks and 5 trips to this store! RIDICULOUS and no way to run a business. They don’t call you to give you a status on anything, you have to call and ask but you will just be told “I don’t know” so save yourself the pain and agony and don’t bother. SOOOO many other places exist at much more reasonable prices and turnaround time and I am just SO wishing I had NOT gone here. The interesting thing is each of the 5 times I was in this store, there were other customers also in the store who were experiencing issues with their new prescription being blurry, etc or the frame not being correct or ill fitted. I definitely will not be returning next year, that’s for sure. Better things to do with my time!

Dr Phillip did a fast thorough job on my eye exam and the staff here were extremely friendly and well informed! Tosh made it a fun visit and Martha was great in handling the few follow-up items I needed.

I had an eye appointment here on April fools.The workers were all welcoming and all had fun outgoing bubbly personalities. They all seem like they liked their job and coworkers. Felt very welcoming while being there. Im definitely coming back for another exam or new glasses. Jeanny is so sweet and professional. She is very thorough with her exams and she explains things to you so you understand everything thats going on.

This was my first time going to Pearle Vision. I came in looking for glasses with a “modern” look. I worked with Diane. I explained to her what I was looking for and she understood completely. Diane made the ENTIRE process enjoyable and stress free. She gave great recommendations and wasn’t afraid to tell me if a pair of glasses didn’t look good on me. I, 100% appreciate her opinion and honesty.The very next day, I was able to pick up my prescription glasses. Diane made adjustments on the glasses to ensure they fit my face correctly. I could not ask for a better customer service experience. I will definitely come back!Although I am sure all the Pearle Vision employees are the same, I highly recommend Diane to those who are in need of vision services. You will not be disappointed!

Takes too long for their glasses!!! It takes 3.5 weeks for glasses to come back so I have an appointment at America’s Best today so I can have my glasses within 7 business days and not almost a month. The glasses from Pearle will be a Spare pair. Updated 10/02/20 went to America’s Best Sept 24 for eye exam and picked up glasses from America’s Best 10/02/20. I’m still waiting on my glasses from Pearle Vision that was ordered before I went to America’s Best.

Service was excellent! Anna was the most professional and personable service member I have yet to encounter in the industry. I was also given cleaning supplies with my new glasses! This has never happened before. Goodbye Windex and paper towels!

I had the same pair of glasses for 10 years because I could never find a pair I liked. Sydney helped me out today and helped me find a frame I loved. I loved how helpful she was and her input. They have a large selection of glasses unlike other places I’ve been to as well. Lastly, they said my new frame and lenses would be ready by tomorrow!? I was shocked. My previous provider told me it would take at least 2 weeks to just get replacement lenses for my current frames. Will definitely be coming back here in the future for glasses and my eye exams thanks to my moms referral of pearl vision in Maplewood.

Dr. Wu always take the time to check in on my overall health, which is important as a diabetic. I have another underlying health issue that is new since my last visit and we talked about changes to look for and keeping up with my other medical appointments.Jess and Erin were friendly at check in and during the ore-screen process. The store was very clean and well marked for social distancing, which is very important to me as an immunocompromised person. Sheryl and Martha were helpful in picking out a pair of glasses and making sure I got new contacts with my prescription change. All in all, the staff made this a very pleasant experience. A special thank you to Dr. Wu for her consistent care and kindness and for taking the time to really know and care for her patients. I feel safe in this teams capable hands.

Following surgery, I needed to have a pair of glasses with new lenses/Rx as soon as possible. I checked with numerous vision companies and none could produce them in less than 2 weeks. Then I called Pearl Vision at Maplewood Mall and talked to Sydney. She assured me they could take care of me same day so long as my Rx was on hand in their onsite lab. Turns out they definitely could take care of me and I had my new glasses in just a couple of hours! Sydney was genuinely understanding of my situation, courteous, kind, funny (we shared a couple of chuckles!), and really made my day! Thank you, Sydney! My glasses are awesome and Ill be back in the future to work with you again!

Dr Phillips was awesome. She engaged with me, remembered everything from my first appointment and made me feel at ease.Also, her name was Mi ( I think) was phenomenal doing a variety of tests . I told her that with her encouraging me, I could leap a tall building with a single bound.

Dr. Philipp was wonderful! She is warm and friendly yet completely thorough and knowledgeable. She walked me through each step of the process. She even followed up with me to ensure I had followed up with a Retina Specialist as she had recommended at my exam. I highly recommend her for stellar care.

I have been there twice and everyone has been super nice and helpful. Usually I struggle picking out frames. This last time Alvin helped me and it was quick and painless. Alvin is definitely the man to see if you need help picking out a pair of glasses.

My friend and I went together to have our vision checked. We were treated respectfully and graciously while we worked on our paperwork then we received help choosing the right frames, lenses and so forth. Our trip was totally impromptu and yet, successful.

Ive been going to this Pearle Vision for over 8 years and Ive had a good experience every time. The doctors are all very knowledgeable and kind and dealt with any and all issues I had concerning my vision. The staff there were also very helpful and checked me in soon after I arrived. Ive had to visit the store on multiple occasions in the last couple of weeks and each time Ive been been provided with great service. Shout outs to Blake and the other opticians who helped me with my new glasses!!

Complete waste of time will never come back here again, drove over an hour to be told they couldn’t help me because it was too late to contact my insurance but they never told me that when I made the appointment.

Other pearl visions are a lot nicer, have better selection, and have the added benefit of competent employees.Terrible customer service. I will never return. I spent two hours in the store only to find out that they didn’t have my prescription even though they said I did. Please teach Diane how to use a computers so she doesn’t waste other people’s time.

I needed a new exam and called this location to see if they had an appointment available. I was able to be seen that same day. Dr. Liu-Wu was phenomenal and incredibly thorough during my exam. She listened to my concerns and addressed all of my questions. The rest of fhe staff were very professional and made everything easy from the initial paperwork to choosing new frames. My glasses were ready within the hour.Overall, I was very impressed with everything from the vision testing, customer service, etc. They have an incredible range of glasses for women. I will definitely be back for my future vision needs. I have been to other optometrists in the past and honestly didnt experience any wow factors to keep me going back. Pearle Vision of Maplewood just got a new loyal customer 😄

My son is 8 and has autism. He was very apprehensive about his eye appointment and the staff went out of their way to make him feel comfortable. They were very patient and flexible, which made him feel more relaxed. I would recommend this Pearl Vision if your son or daughter has special needs. They are excellent!!

Wow! Such fantastic service! I was very impressed with the doctors and the opticians and especially Austin. They were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Austin explained the insurance process very well so that my entire family was able to understand and get the best deal possible!

I love this location and have been coming here for many years now. The receptionist are efficient, opticians amazing, and the doctors phenomenal. I visited this Pearle Vision a few months ago to get an updated prescription and I have to say I was seriously impressed by that Austin guy, he did such a great job with processing my orders and when I mentioned that I was interested in some new frames, he leapt to his feet to showcase the entire collection and gave his professional opinion on each one. Although I ended up looking elsewhere for my frames he was still friendly.Austin/10 experience.

Martha at the Maplewood Mall location helped me a couple of weeks ago to repair the wire frame of my glasses since I had crushed it to the point where I couldnt wear it for a month and a half. I then promptly lost them the next day on the bus. :( I returned to the store yesterday and Martha helped me again to pick out a new pair of frames and found out my lens were in stock and then had them ready for me the next day. These were wonderful customer service experiences and I will always come back here for all my eye needs.

Nice staff. Greeted when we entered store. My sister just needed her glasses adjusted, and even though they were busy, the staff still made sure we were taken care of in a timely manner. The optomologist that helped my sister was super nice and really cared about ensuring her glasses were adjusted correctly.

I have never been more disappointed in customer service in my life. I entered the store because my glasses I bought are cracking due to no fault of mine! The person that helped me told me they were outside the warranty time by 6 months and they would not be able to do anything for me. I was willing to have an eye exam and have them put different lenses in my current frames but was told that was not an option. Mind you I spent over $900.00 on a pair of sunglasses and my daily glasses. The sunglasses were wrong from the get go and because they were paid for up front I was told I was stuck! Bad place to do business with!!! Go somewhere else and spend your money.

Wasted my time coming in to pick up my sunglass lens to find out they havent arrived yet. Was told during the purchase that they normally take 2 weeks, and that I could confidently come in with them ready to install as they dont usually call customers to remind them of pick-up. However, if they werent in that someone would call to notify me. 2 weeks later (exactly today), arrived and they told me they wouldnt be here till maybe tomorrow. No notice or anything about the delay, which I was assured I would get. I still dont know why they take 2 weeks to come in when the other Pearle Vision I usually go to usually just takes a few days, no more than a week usually.Had a hunch I shouldve called in to check before making the drive. Will have to next time :(. I also found out that prices vary from each Pearlevision so it pays to shop around. I normally go to the Woodbury location and theyre immaculate about calling me with updates on my purchases.

I was at the Maplewood location for a eye exam. I had made the appointment a week in advance. I got there 10 minutes early as requested to fill out paper work and do preliminary exam. I was still sitting and waiting 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I had to ask when I was going to get in, no one let me know they were running late. After 5 more minutes of waiting for a response I was told it would be another 20 to 25 minutes before I would get in. I ended up leaving and would of made another appointed but, the gals thought it was funny that we were leaving...so I didnt and wont. My question is whats the point of making a appointment in advance if you cant even deliver close to the time.

Came in at opening time with a pair of broken glasses, and they were able to start repairing them right away. Due to the complexity of the damage it took almost an hour to repair. I was able to roam around the mall and return to pick up my repaired glasses. Upon pick up I was expecting a repair bill, but they said no charge, have a great day.

I walked in the store asking for glasses and contacts. I was not rude at all, the male clerk at the front desk all of a sudden started to give me and attitude and was extremely rude and disrespectful. Why? What did I do? Do you not like your customers for some reason? Never shopping here again, and if someone in a store ever is rude to you. Just dont shop there, you shouldnt spend money when people give you attitude problems, especially for no reason, other than the fact that they dont want to help you find glasses.

Start to finish, the process was excellent. Service was spectacular.

The optometrists were fantastic. The opticians? Not so much. I sat down with an optician to order contact lenses. Id previously purchased contact lenses through a discount site and needed Pearle Vision to approve my prescription. She had an attitude and wouldnt do it. I ended up paying more out of pocket WITH insurance. Also, the technician told me that my copay was $10. The optician said it was over $40. Someone needs to learn how to read insurance paperwork. I also thought the Roseville location had the most obnoxious optician. I doubt Ill be returning to the Maplewood and Roseville clinics, or Pearle Vision in general.

Wanted to call to re-order contact lenses over the phone. Had someone take down my information and tell me that I would have to wait and get a call back 10-15 minutes later. Waited for over 25 minutes and decided to call back (just because I urgently need more contact lenses), only to be greeted by the same guy saying that HE would call me back when he was ready, insinuating that I was in the wrong for even thinking about calling back to check. He then did not even give me a call back for another 45 minutes. At that point, I was already frustrated and appalled at the customer service that I was offered...was left a message but not going back to this location, even though its been a convenient location for me. Yes, I get it, times get busy but you do not treat your customers with a lack of respect.

If you get transitional glasses (lenses that turn into sunglasses outside) and later do want them anymore, Pearle Vision will not return your money. The reason I got was that since the shipping fees and the cutting of the lenses cost money they will have to deduct that amount from the $60-100 that was paid for them. Leaving me with maybe $20.I was told when I bought them that if I was not satisfied with the transition glasses I could return them within thirty days.
