Absolutely the worst place. Took 3 weeks for them to come get their furniture and the manager Lisa tried to charge me for the time that she wouldnt schedule a pick up for. She asked if she put additional charges on my card on file, I told her absolutely not. She tried anyway. I had to report her for credit card fraud. Still working with a lawyer for that. The place is crooked and she belongs in jail.
I want to give praise to all the employees at the Margate, except the store manager LaVisa. Over several SCHEDULED pick-up attempts, I have now wasted a total of a little over 15 hours. You know what, THEY NEVER SHOWED AND NEVER CALLED!!! The store manager is inconsistent when execution RentA-Center’s policies. She enforced them when and how she’s wishes.You will call and talk to LaVisa on the phone. WARNING: Disregard anything you just agreed upon with her - wait ten to twenty minutes, then double check with her that she has not changed her mind or made a new game plan without calling you, texting you or conforming this change was acceptable for you.The store manager is completely all over the place when it comes to how she deals with payment extensions. One day she will work with and the next day she gives you two hours to get your account paid in full or she is coming to get at 7p.m. Her actions here caused a tremendous amount of stress, anxiety, embarrassment and ashamed. I have been told the store is short staffed and this justifies all the angst she has createdMy favorite game to play with LaVisa is: let’s cancel the appointment and NEVER called to inform me or being told they are on their way and to give them an extra hour. In the end, it is now 8 hours past your appointment, the store is closed and you still do not know if they are really “on their way”.I wasn’t going to leave a review. However, I do not want other people to be subjected to what she did to me.Also, I am extremely nervous about posting this review. I am petrified LaVisa will realize who I am and turn against me and retaliate. She can retaliate by keeping me on edge all the whilst, threatening to be at my house in a hour and never showing.She will tell you the drivers came by but you were not. She was going to look into it and call me back. She never called me back and she flat out lie to me by telling me that you know I wasn’t there when I was supposed to be. I spent nine hours sitting in waiting and no one ever came to my door otherwise my dog would have parked.I called and asked her fir time because I was have some medical issues. I was informed that no extra time would be given in this deadline with that firm. I did what I needed to do to resolve the situation however when I called to find out why they haven’t come to my apartment yet, I was informed that I’d ask for more time and I was being given. That’s great, except no one told me that so everything was taken care of. Again stressing me out for no reason. She also never called me back to let me know when they might actually keep the appointment.LaVisa is both deceitful and discriminatory. I let her know I was not feeling well and I needed the extra few hours to finish what I needed to do, start feeling better and I would be ready for them . They never showed.I then told LaVisa I was not feeling well and it was COVID-19 and that I have had a chronic illness for over two decades. I’m not saying here what my illness. After telling LaVisa what my medical condition was, within two days, she was changing deadlines, enforcing polices to the letter of the handbook. Within two days of informing her of my illness, she arranged for a series of events to occur, forcing me to default on one contract and unable to return the furniture I was placing on a hold.I believe the store manager, by assisting in forcing my hand, where I had no other choice but to default in the agreement, was intentional, vindictive and discriminatory. She also passes judgement on a another situation, and refuses to give ANY assistance because she made up her mind. It is also apparent her staff works in fear of her. They do what she wants, as they should. However, when you can hear in their voice a slight quiver of fear, you feel bad. The employees are so afraid to contradict her, that even when going against her word would me the right thing to do.I will be contacting an attorney regarding the situation with her. Please help me if she becomes vindictive, please help. She made sure I lost my furniture

Quick, easy friendly service. We rented a refrigerator for our 4th of July party. We kept it for the month that we paid for. Worth the price. Store and Delivery staff were professional.
Sad that i have to give you one star in order for me to write something.. For starters once Roleto & Germaine left the place went down hill, this place is garbage. Been renting from this location for a long time and purchased alot of stuff had a great experience at the beginning and now since the new staff it has became trash, they tell you one thing and then lie and then tell you they never said that, Customer service suxs big time, they are rude, the place stinks like piss, always dirty not kept up and the manager has no clue as to what is going on let alone knows who are customers are. not a friends environment, you use to be able to walk in and they know who you are, now customers have become strangers. Even the staff does not look presentable or act professional, Every time i went to go pay my bill i felt like I went to get welfare cheese. Thank God i am done paying and i own my furniture, I will never rent from this or any other location again as my experience was not pleasant, It may have started great but ended badly.
After wasting my WHOLE morning waiting back and forth for a simple xbox that i wanted new they finally get one but get the most expensiveone after i asked for basic modle they tried to charge me TRIPLE of what it was priced. After i leftd the store they wanted me to come back so they could go on a hunt for the basic model i asked for from a another store when i explained that the wasted enough of my time the manger was RUDE. I will never go to this store again. I understand they will have fees but for them to try and bait and switch for the most exspensive one was WRONG .

Been doing buisness with rent a center for over 10 years and this location puts rent a center to shame.. while inside they are friendly, however they never stick to there word and lots of empty promises. They will call you to remind you that you are due and more so always the day before the actual day which i consider harrassing, and when a delivery is suppose to be they never do unless you hound them on where your product is. This store is poorly ran, the communication between management and employees are terrible, one will tell you one thing and not tell anyone else so when you call and someone else helps you the answer you will always get is i didnt know and no one ever told me... I would not deal with them again, been with that location now for almost a year, they are great for adding fees and never really knowing why but making excuses saying they will remove it and never does unless you stand right there in front of them ensureing that they do it right in front of you with showing you the proof.. Stay away from this location!!! you have been advised!!!!

No the truth is this place is a scam I bought 2 cell phones I finished paying them and I bought another one a galaxy 7sI paid for the entire cell phone and saying that I didnt owe anything else ... and the following week that I had to pay again for the full cell phone, the biggest scam they know I did, I returned it from the angry and I told them they were scammers ... I lost more than 500 dollars if I could put a photo of everything I would do but my advice ... do not buy there ...
