Its very rare that Ill leave a poor review online but after our awful experience with Apex Furniture I feel obligated to. We contracted with Apex to remove the paint from 2 antique mantles for a price of $500 which we were told would take approximately 4 weeks. At the 4 week mark we reached out to check in and were told he was behind on his stripping jobs but would have an update the following week. This was no problem as we know things come up, however, we did not receive any update the following week so we checked back in again. This went on for 9 more weeks with us having to reach out for any sort of update from Apex. Whenever we actually did receive a reply it was always just next week and little else. After 13 weeks we are told the mantles are ready for pick up and scheduled to come get them the next day. The day of pick up we received an invoice for an additional $200 from Apex with the claim that it was more work than he originally anticipated. This was the first we had heard of them requiring more work nor did we ever approve this. I wish we had been notified when the original estimate was exceeded as we would have just told him to stop work as the mantles were not worth that much to us. We told Apex we would not pay the additional amount as that is not what we had agreed to and it was unprofessional to spring this on us last minute. The owner told us to do whatever we want and come get them out of his shop. We came to pick up the mantles and pay the remaining agreed upon amount at which point he decides to tell my wife she is a very difficult customer when I stepped away to back our truck up. I honestly wasnt even going to leave a review despite the terrible experience until that comment was made. Hope it was worth it. This was after the job took over 3 times longer than we were told with next to no communication the entire time. I would HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere for any furniture refinishing needs.

We have had two pieces of furniture refinished, with repairs, through Apex Furniture Refinishing and we are so pleased. Both pieces hold sentimental value and Asim took the time and care to repair and refinish each of them. We knew our furniture was in good hands as Asim is honest and hardworking. We recommend him highly!

Excellent work! Apex Furniture Refinishing has refinished four family pieces for me. The latest two were in the worst shape and Asim worked miracles. I have never seen these tables look this good. I highly recommend Asim and Apex.

Absolutely fantastic is simply the best way to put it. From the beginning to end the knowledge and customer service is great. Was extremely impressed with the honesty of what Apex said I needed but more importantly what I didnt need. Most other places will charge a hefty fee simply to look at something simple. Great honest company I will be back for all of my wood working needs.

I took a pie shaped table that I inherited which had a snapped off curved ‘foot’ and showed it’s 80 years of life to Apex, and I got back a table like it was just made. The craftsmanship is just superb, and I recommend them completely. I intend now to take an old pedestal library table to them to be refinished, something I was hesitating to do until I could find THAT refinisher......found him!

Apex was able to fix a very old headboard for me to my delight and satisfaction. Asim had to replace a piece and re-finish the whole thing. It looks like new. Thanks, Asim!

I was totally pleased with the work completed on two pieces of furniture that I took to Apex that were damaged. The work was impeccable. Great experience with Apex. Took interior wood door for paint and stain removal. Door had 70 years’ worth of paint to remove plus a stain base. Door looks brand new timing from start to finish reasonable.

Mr. Asim turned my dull dark brown table with a bad finish into a beautiful piece of furniture. I was going to have it refinished in the same color, but he suggested that we use a beautiful honey color on the top. The new color brought out the beautiful wood grain. I love the light color on top and the brown on the bottom. Excellent customer service as well.

I have used APEX Furniture Refinishing for years. They have restored everything from my Great Grandmothers end table to some chairs I bought at Havertys. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them.

I brought my brand new lounge chair/recliner in for repair (bought at an HH Gregg going out of business sale). The chair spring failure was quickly diagnosed while I waited. An honest and fair estimate was provided and I left the chair with him! Three days later, chair was returned just like brand new! New parts (spring holders) were on hand and replaced! I was very pleased with work and with quiet steadiness that guided the owners hand! I highly recommend!

Let me just say, the only reason why Im even ranking one star is because its mandated. I scheduled an appointment for an in-home estimate of our bedroom furniture that suffered water damage in December. The man did come out to our apartment complex, but apparently lacks any navigational skills or common sense. He was parked at a gas station, which is adjacent to the sign stating the name of the complex. Then, he proceeded to threaten to just leave as my partner and I were walking in circles in effort to locate this man. He eventually made it inside our home and proceeded with the estimate. He claimed he would deal directly with our insurance company. After a week or so, my insurance company said nothing had been submitted. I attempted to call the company, when I quickly realized he would not answer the calls that were being forwarded to his cell phone. After several confusing, misleading texts, he basically said he was having problems in his shop and was unable to submit the estimate. He finally answered my call, at which I requested the estimate to submit myself. Then, he tells me there is no estimate, as though he never came out to assess the damage, and tells me I cant help you, just find another service. Unprofessional doesnt even capture the experience. His behavior is bizarre, ridiculous, and unreliable. Do NOT even attempt to contact this company. We finally got a friendly and professional company to take care of our business. I highly recommend Williams Furniture Repair.

Had a horrific experience with Apex. I rank 1-star because I have to rank something or comment will not be posted. Save yourself 1-1/2 years of your life and a trip to the courthouse.

Will not do in home quotes or pick up furniture.
