I cant trust them. Had agreement with owner of dealership. Sent me docs to go over and to sign for a car late Friday afternoon for a car. Went ahead and electronically signed docs and also offered whatever good faith money they wanted until I could get the rest transferred on Monday due to the late arrival of documents for me to inspect. Then when I had everything in order on Monday morning and we and the bank were about to wire the money I called them to say we were about to press the button and they informed me they sold the car out from under me. I was dismayed, confused and extremely disappointed. Worst part is I did this deal with the owner himself on Friday. Maybe it was all an accident that they sold the car after agreement with owner of dealership and signing docs but I can only judge a company on their word and that honestly still doesnt set well with me. Just a bad way to do business in my opinion
Very difficult time getting the title to vehicle. Seems to be having issues from an administration standpoint. Never could get a straight answer on what was causing the delay.
I recently purchased a 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SL, site unseen from Auto Memories. The purchase process was seamless, the delivery of the vehicle was arranged for me, and the title, etc was sent to me overnight UPS in a timely manner. The car has exceeded my expectations, and is beautiful. There are some flaws but I did not pay for, nor did I expect a trailer queen. I would definitely purchase from them without reservation. I worked with Jim the owner and Silvia, both of whom are consummate professionals. A+
UPDATE, Let’s see if this is just more promises that this company does not keep . Now they claim they have the title, which was being held by their financier.See photo of latest text sent on Mon 12 th July .So, if financier has not been paid, then title is still with them and Auto Memories (Dawn) cannot be in a position to send it me . More lies ……and a really big one already evident in the text ! Let’s see what turns up in the mail !IF YOU HAVE RECIEVED A CAR WITH NO TITLE OR RECIEVED A TITLE WITH NO CAR OR ANY OTHER FINANCIAL IRREGULARITY WITH THIS COMPANY THEN PLEASE CONTACT KENNESAW POLICE DEPT.MENTION AUTO MEMORIESBought car in March, car was delivered May 8th.I’m still waiting for title, my texts go unanswered and my calls go unanswered .Temp tag has expired and now I can’t use car, it may also get towed out of my complex for having an expired tag . That’s $160 a day for a car that I won’t be able to get out of impound yard .Due to the company not returning my calls, not answering texts, not answering the phone when I call and leaving me completely in the dark I have been pushed to do following .1.Make complaint to the local police .2.Make complaint to my state FBI3 File complaint with GA DA’s office4 File complaints with GA BBB plus a few other consumer places .Title eventually turned up July 27th…car now legally in my name and registered etc etc . Four months is too long especially if you have so many days to register car after getting insurance, for me it was 180 days .
We purchased a car over two months ago. It still has not shipped. And, there is a different excuse every time we ask about it.
I want to tell you all how much I appreciate you folks, Jim, Lisa and Andrew. Purchasing this 95 Chevy pickup, I call her my Georgia Peach, from Auto Memories down there in Marietta and me up here in Maine, was truly a pleasant, comfortable and secure experience. You made it enjoyable from my initial conversation with Jim to having the delivery arrive in my yard. The vehicle is absolutely as you represented it to be.You were earnestly friendly, certainly honest to a fault and made the experience professional and SMOOTH.I am enjoying my like new 95 Chevy pickup and so is everyone who sees it. - Thanks so much. - Eben Marsh
Didnt go there so dont know
Nice folks, best to know what your looking for though, seems like the guy i road with didnt really know what he was talking about. But they were qt least very nice.
Overall great experience. The staff was very helpful and stayed in communication throughout the entire process. They have a great selection of cars, and are willing to work with you to help you get behind the wheel of the one you want. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
I bought an 1986 Bronco in Feb 2020 that was sold to me for $15k I gladly and promptly paid for it with the assurance it was in very good condition both mechanically and structurally. Structurally it is very sound, but that was not the case mechanically. A Bronco of that year for that price should have been in that condition. Ive had major issues with it. The ignition key lock stopped working. It had to be drilled out and replaced. The engine light was on, but it was covered up with reflective tape. There were oil and fluid leaks all over the place. Then the engine began blowing blue smoke during acceleration indicating oil being burned! A pressure test was performed cylinder pressure was off. After diagnosing, the cylinder heads needed rebuilding, a couple of freeze plugs were leaking, fuel injectors were mismatched so they needed to be replaced to match them up, upper and lower intake was clogged up with oil crud and carbon deposits, lower intake needed to be replace due to corrosion causing coolant leaks, EGR valves needed to be replaced, power steering pump was failing, rear brakes were not functional and break lines and cylinder needed to be replaced. Lastly, the computer module failed and needed to be replaced. Alot of money in parts and labor to get it working. Now, my worry is the transmission that knocks as it shifts up and down.New update, rusted roof and rain rails and upper cab sections around the door. It was repainted but clearly just a bad patch job was done as whatever filler was used has begun to crack.I reached out to Auto Memories soon after discovering the issues in March to talk about options but they only option they offered were to resell the vehicle for me. That was not realistic as I would not have been able to get the money back that I paid with all those issues. I asked for them to refund me some of the money. Jim the owner said he would consider doing something, but then covid happened and he kept pushing it off. Ive waited patiently, but I guess they are not going to make things right.
Excellent service and the owner is a cutie! :-)
Bought a nice w107 shipped to France, they did a lot of work on the car for me eventhough it was going overseas, very pro! Special thank to Jim
I recently purchased a Ford Bronco from Auto Memories. I was nervous about buying without personally inspecting the truck. Not to worry, Andrew gave me a great deal more information about the truck and sent many more photos. And the photos all showed a great deal of detail. I showed them to a mechanic friend of mine and he was impressed. Said the info looked legitimate. When I received the truck it was exactly as described. They took very good care to inform me about the status of delivery and overall they could not have been more helpful. It was an excellent experience and Id work with them again without hesitation.
2 months after the purchase, still no title!
Auto Memories did a fine job in the preparation and delivery of my Toyota MR2. I was very pleased with the buying experience and the delivery process.Larry Levinson
I sold a Mercedes Roadster to Auto Memories Classic Cars and had a great experience.Jim and Steve were awesome to work with and very professional. Hope to do business again.
Called several times. Never got an answer.
I have been waiting on a Bronco we purchased for over a week. Soooo much miscommunication between their entire team with the sales team member Im dealing with telling me one thing and an entire different situation playing out. Still dont have my truck and all I keep hearing is I cant come pick up the vehicle myself, its sitting there ready to leave yet thats been the case for a week. Also keep being told that the driver keeps cancelling, not my problem, find another driver or hire someone else and satisfy the customer!!!! We spend good money on a vehicle and nothing but poor customer service so far.
These guys are top notch & will go out of their way to make sure their customers are well taken care of!
I recently bought a 1988 Ford Bronco from Jim and his team, and wanted to share my personal experience while I was there. I initially talked to Michael via the CarGurus site, and we came to an agreed upon price before I came to see the truck (it was a 3 hour drive for me, through Atlanta traffic). When I arrived at the dealership, the very first thing I noticed was their presentation of the Bronco that I was interested in. The truck was at the center of an indoor garage, and was absolutely spotless. I was amazed at how well the brand new paint job looked, and the attention to detail Jim and his team put into making this 31 year old vehicle shine. Even the undercarriage and engine compartment were spotless! During the walkaround inspection and road test, I spotted a few minor discrepancies with the truck (windshield wiper motor not working, one reverse light not working, voltmeter not working) and reported those issues to Michael. Certainly not show stopping issues, but issues that needed attention. When I came back from lunch about an hour later, I was surprised to see that all of the issues I found had been repaired, free of charge! They even threw in two floor mats to help protect the mint condition, original Eddie Bauer edition interior! As a small business owner myself, I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciated the level of “above and beyond” service that Automemories provided to me. I will absolutely not hesitate to send every person I come across who is looking for a classic vehicle to Jim and his team. There is no better classic car dealer out there! Two big thumbs up!
