I didnt like that surfacing 4 break rotors cost about $250 but I even liked less that the person who worked on the car did not know how to push the rim covers, so I lost one probably in the first 5 minutes of driving.

This is the only place I will take my car! Even after moving an hour away, this is where I go, because the owner Joe is an honest mechanic! He will tell you if you can wait on replacing your brake pads. He told me on multiple occasions (with different cars) to just wait until my next oil change and well check them again!A good friend suggested American Brake and I can confirm that Joe and the staff at American Brake are the best!

Joe and his team are the best. I had an alternator die on me and they were there for me. Sorry, not there for me. Beyond there for me, and even got me back on the road within two hours. Ive had bad luck with mechanics from overpricing to taking advantage of me as a woman. I found this place on Yelp and Google and I am so happy I did!!! Joe and the team displayed exemplary customer service. My brakes are working better than ever. They did not try to take advantage of me at all and they were very respectful. Also reasonably priced. Took in my car to check out why the brake light was on, they brought me a bill over $1000 with extreme statements on how my brake system only had 2 weeks left before my entire car is going to be totalled and my air filter was the worst they have every seen, along with other random upsold items. The only reason the light was on was for the brake fluid. I would not trust this business to find an actual issue, they only made things up to run a ridiculous bill, $1000+ ? Seriously? Car is still running fine, btw.

Found someone I can trust! My dealership told me I needed to replace a cylinder head in my engine ($3600), and replace my engine mounts ($1000) just to pass my emissions inspection on my 2006 H3. Five different friends urged me to call Joe for a second opinion. (It says a lot when all the people you trust point you in the same direction.)Joe worked to fit me into his schedule. He diagnosed a few simple problems and fixed my car right away. He communicated everything effectively and treated me fairly. His staff was great to work with. At the end of the day, I only paid $1400, and I get to keep the car that I love for a few more years.What I really liked about this experience was that I didnt feel I was being condescended to or taken advantage of (like at the dealership). Joe helped me understand which repairs were essential and which could wait. No sales pressure. No BS. Wish Id known about this shop years ago!

Seemingly honest, but I came only for brakes and they replaced my air filter without speaking with me first - forcing me to pay for a service I did not authorize. They took my car out for a test drive ALSO WITHOUT MY CONSENT. The guy that came out of my car left it reeking, and he didn’t wear gloves or a mask while in my car. He also left trash from the shop in my passenger seat. Absolutely disgusting.

Did a brake pad and rotor inspection, while i couldnt get the rotor replaced as i wasnt prepared to replace it, they let me think about it and get back when i have decided.They gave me a quote and also suggested they can install products that we buy on our own

Superb customer service and fair prices. I live in kennesaw but still make the drive even for an oil change. I never question anything I’m told here which is quite a feat for me! He is able to give suggestions depending on what is needed and went so far as actually given me advice on purchasing my new car. Joe helped us fix our AC for just a few hundred dollars (the dealer wanted $250 just to look at it and estimated over $2k to fix) and he machined the brake rotors for all 3 of my cars. I used to do all my work myself because its hard to find a shop I trust, but now I let Joe do all the hard work because his reputation is important to him. Now I have my Saturdays back and Im not turning wrenches all weekend!

Took our Mercedes in for new breaks and got them installed in a couple hours, for half the price the dealership was quoting. All manufacturer parts too. The owner Joe was very friendly and a straight shooter. If it doesnt need fixed, hell tell you the truth and wont take your money. Theres not many businesses out there anymore with the values and quality work that these guys provide. Definitely recommend taking any make or model of car to them!

Can I give 12 stars?! First I thought they were open till 6 but they close at 2 in Saturdays, and I arrived at 12:30 with grinding brakes that I was scared to drive a single mile more with. Rather than turn me away, the owner offered to get 2 employees to fix all 4 wheels before 2pm as long as he had the parts. They did so, and for a VERY reasonable price. The owner even offered me a slice of pizza the crew was having for lunch! I wish all business owners were like this. Fantastic experience, thank you so much American Brake!!

I took my daughters car in to get the brakes inspected because we were hearing noises. I expected to get the you need new breaks, or you need new rotors. However....I received a phone call from the manager and he told me all I needed was a brake fluid flush. I asked if I still needed to replace the pads and he said NO unless you just want to waste money. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONESTY! It feels really good when you work with companies that have a high degree of integrity and honesty. I would definitely recommend American Brake Service in Marietta on Johnson Ferry Road.

I saw a good reviews and I trusted them. I didn’t do any home work, just went for fixing 2007 Odyssey brakes, he quated $720 only for rear wheel. Later on I have checked the parts rate in online, the complete brake set (pads, rotors with calipers for front & rear wheels) is $333 to $528. What he has fixed for me is one caliper two rotors and two pads for $720. For this price we can fix 4-wheels easy.

My mother took her 528i BMW because the brakes were squeaking and computer showed new brakes needed in 1000 miles.She was told she needed new brake pads and needed front rotors.A few weeks later, she noticed rust coming from wheels and her car was shaking. So she took the car to a certified BMW mechanic and he found all parts were not BMW and BMW parts are painted so they do not rust. This company sold my mom non BMW certified parts. And the work was not right and the car continues to shake.The BMW mechanic felt bad for my mom so he called American Brake Company to explain the issue and what they did wrong. The employee of Joe .. cussed the BMW mechanic and hung up. My mom is enroute to go back .. the phone call was on speaker phone the entire time so the conversation was heard by all .. including my motherAnd my mom is nervous about this ..I called Joe and he said she has warranty .. that maybe she hit a pot hole or got the rotors to open warm .. which I explained is not the case .. he could even check the mileage when she arrives. I asked him to take care of her and do the right thing .. says he would.If he does take of the issue I will update my review to reflect the same ..##### UPDATE: yes met with Joe and the brake and rotor work was performed once again. After the re work was performed, the car no longer shakes and appears to perform normally now. I assume the pads and rotors were swapped out .. really not sure. But he took the time to correct the issue, hopefully Joes customer service skills can be populated to all of his employees to share his same vision.
