Ray was awesome! I have to be careful buying things like work boots because the least little amount of touch in certain areas of my feet will feel like torture after awhile if Im not careful. Needless to say, Ray was patient and very knowledgeable of the boots and potential irritations to highly sensitive feet. If you want quality boots go to High Plains. Be sure to ask for Ray and tell him I sent ya.

Really neat place. Decided to just pop in and look around, but decided to try and find a pair of boots. Staff was friendly and very helpful, and inspired me as I tried a bunch of pairs. My first time trying a western style boot. Didnt quite find what I wanted, but would go back!

No Womens wear - everything was moved to another store. This store only carries Mens Western gear. Would be nice if the name and signage changed before customers make a trip there. But from what I could see, they have a good selection for guys and the employees seemed nice.

Make sure everything is right before because they will not honor their own Its Own exchange policy. Awesome now Im stuck with a pair of boots that dont fit. You would have better luck somewhere else

I’m not from this area but saw this store online. Went in today to find boots they had on their website and they were in the store. The store is big and very clean inside. The girl who greeted me help me try on the boots. She was very helpful in finding the right size. I left with the boots I was looking for! Great experience!

They have a wide selection and everyone is super nice! They do have a strict return policy, but they post it everywhere, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. If you’re there to browse it may seem like the salespeople are hovering, but they just want to be helpful, especially since boot shopping can be overwhelming if you don’t know what you’re looking for.

Had a great experience, and the lady working helped me find odd sized jeans that fit like a glove. Highly recommend.

Excellent staff at this store. Entire staff interacted with my son and I at some point during our visit. All were very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable.My only recommendation is that I wish they would carry carhartt cargo pants.Will definitely return to this store!

Ive purchased several pair of boots at High Plains and been extremely satisfied with the high level of customer service, the willingness to discuss proper fit, style, durability and use on my boots. I have absolutely no complaints. Everyone who has helped me has been polite, well versed on their product and offered excellent advice. I absolutely will be back...again and again!

High Plains? More like High Prices. Selection and service arent what they were a decade ago, either.

Just tried to return a pair of boots for store credit (to get a better pair of boots) and was refused service as my boots had been worn. They had been worn on hardwood and slate at my home for about 60 minutes - so rather than accept my return and help me upgrade my boots - i was refused and sent packing. What is worse is that i was told that store policy is that boots can only be returned if worn on carpet - that is not on their receipt nor did i see it posted anywhere in the store nor was i made aware of the supposed condition when i purchased my boots. This is just amazing! Dont go there folks - they obviously dont care about the care and feeding of their customers.

Great store with wide selections and great service

The place is smaller than it looks. From the signs, it appears they are trying to dissuade you from shopping there before you ever enter the building. Maybe the place used to be a country dive bar, and they are trying to get rid of the old clientele. Do not go here for work boots, steel toe boots, or utility boots. They have a wide selection of line dance bar boots.

Do not do business with this place. I bought a pair of jeans, took them home, tried them on, and realized they were too tight. With receipt and all the labels on them, I took them back for a refund and they refused to take them back! They said the manufacturer (Wrangler) would not take them back since theyve been worn. What nonsense. Avoid shopping at High Plains if you dont want to get ripped off like I was.

I enjoyed having help from the lady that knew what she was doing.

Really like the Work boots I bought but the steel toe ended up wearing hard on my toe the first day at work and they could not exchange them once they were “worn off of carpet.” I understand that’s their policy but it’s a 3 Star policy.

Helpful staff but I really dont appreciate the no return for a refund policy. I dont want a store credit, I want my money back. who does that anymore?

Sold me defective merchandise and then gave me a hard time about taking it back 10 days past the 30 day return policy.. Its a $60 belt andi its garbage. I didnt even bother to take the tags off it or wear it. Ill never shop there again. If things change Ill look date this post or in anotheror one. Im also going to talk to the manufacturer. Based on my experience I would carefully examine any merchandise I bought there and make sure its intact. After you take the merchandise home give it another look over in a week or two especially if its leather.

Nice selection for the whole family, pleased with what we purchased.

Bought great pair of work boots and they matched lower price on Amazon. I had trouble deciding on size. I didnt have thick socks on at the store. They said as long as I wore them inside on carpet I could exchange for next size. Wore them at home that afternoon with thicker socks and decided on the next size up. Went back next day and exchanged them with no problems. Very helpful sales staff.

Prepare yourself to be annoyed. If your going for boots especially. There is a white guy,mid 30s, they must not feed him unless he makes a sale. Cause he is just gonna follow you and watch you look at boots, just standing there as if he were waiting on a treat to be thrown. Cant get rid of him. Creepy actually.

These folks are great!!!! I buy all of my western gear from High Plains. Boots, hats and clothing is where they really do well. They always treat me fine.

I ALWAYS get good service from High Plains! They have cool clothing. If they dont have something, say in the right size...they will call their Sister store ~ Horsetown and have it delivered to their store, sometimes the same day!! They are amazing
