Eric was fantastic. Drove from Michigan to get my new Civic Hatchback because local dealers were giving me the run around and I do not regret it. I definitely recommend Mathews Honda even if you have to take a road trip to get there. In and of out in under an hour for me and no hassle. They listened to me and didnt treat me like I dont know anything about cars: Thats huge for me. Seriously, go here. Theyll take care of you.

After some issues when trying to schedule, the service manager called me and made it right. He was very professional and my service experiencewas great.Unfortunately as my vehicle was there for service I went looking at other new vehicles because I am interested in trading in my current one, and not a single sales person came out to talk to me. I even went in the showroom asking where to find the model I was looking for and he pointed and told me where and said if you want us to unlock one let us know. After being out there for almost 20 minutes, I just walked back to the service department to wait for my vehicle. Then once I got my vehicle from service, I drove back around to the vehicles I was interested in, and got out to take a couple of pictures of one, and still no sales person reached out. I do prefer a hands off salesperson, however, this came off as though Mathews didnt want my business. 🤷‍♀️

Have made the first payment on my 2022 Civic and the inside rear view mirror fell off, it leaks coolant, the carpet is disintegrating and there is a bad spot in the paint. The service manager Brandon Lawson, became verbally abusive, mocked me and called me names. This was after he took my mirror housing apart and left everything dangling from the wires. He expected me to drive it like that to some third party body shop and ask them how to fix it. My other option was to leave the car with no loaner or way of getting back to work or home. He clearly did not know how to take the housing apart. After he did, he looked down at the pieces and said “at least nothing broke.” He got mad at me for trying to leave a written list of concerns for the appointment I was trying to schedule. I opened a case with Honda corporate and made an appointment at a different dealership. I will never set foot any Mathews dealership again.

While we we were on a recent trip to Cincinnati, my 2012 Honda Pilot had an issue. The VTM-4 and check engine light came on. We decided to stop at this dealership because they should know what was going on. Lisa, behind the service counter, said they could check it right away, but she was booked for service into late August. Long story short, they fixed the issue (EGR VALVE ), cleared the codes, and sent me on my way WITH NO CHARGE! Needless to say had to give her a hug after that: WE CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH!

James was excellent to work with. He knew what we were looking for and advocated on our behalf for a fair deal. We visited on a Saturday and there were a lot of people in the sales floor. James was clearly the hardest working sale person in the dealership. He was busy with multiple customers but took the time to answer all of our questions and kept us updated on the process as we waited for our paperwork to process. We will definitely return to Mathews in the future.

My mother bought a car from Jesse at Matthews Honda and it was the best car-buying experience of her life. No haggling or classic car dealer back-and-forth, just a very fair deal. Jesse was very patient and thorough explaining the technology to her (her last car is about 10 years old so there is a lot of new tech) and there was never any high-pressure selling. She traded her old Subaru in and got a very good credit for that car (as confirmed by Kelley Blue Book and other comparison web-site calculators). I live out of state so was concerned about not being able to accompany her for the buying process, but Jesse and the manager there treated her like family and gave her excellent, low-pressure service and a very fair price. And now she is a convert from Subaru to Honda and loves her new car!

I went in to get a replacement key and fob for my 2006 CR-V. I was told by Wes that I would pay around $30 for it. This seemed reasonable, and I was taken over to another desk where I was told I was paying $59.95. Ok. Not the price I was told, but still not terrible. I was seated in the waiting room and they began to work on the new key. I go to pay and the paper says that theyre charging $164. I work in retail, so I generally dont like to be that guy but I brought it up because thats very pricey and way more than I expected. A manager-looking woman came to the desk. I handed her my debit card while they went somewhere to get Wes, who said hed get me a better price. After a few minutes, he came back with a bill now lowered to $147.96. Keep in mind that the manager still had my card. At this point, I didnt want to argue, although I shouldve. I paid and left. Obviously I wont be back, and I highly recommend you dont visit either.

Mathews Honda deserves 0 stars. 😂 They were unwilling to price match Marysville, Roush, & Lindsay Honda prices and give the proper discounts that were guaranteed ($1000 savings for a 2009 or newer Honda trade-in and $500 for first responders.) They decided to dock the trade-in value they also would not price match from the other Honda’s by $500 which equaled the first responders discount when they were going to give it to us. The Sales Manager Jeremy ya Mathews Honda also was unwilling to help and seemed very in knowledgeable on how to help us. Every other Honda dealership I had applied to gave me my correct credit score or was only off by 2 points, Mathews Honda gave me a credit score I’ve never seen and was over 30 points lower.5 stars for Lindsay Honda though ☺️

My girlfriend and I were chasing a very specific vehicle - Mathews had the vehicle and had the best price. We live in cincinnati, so it was a bit of a drive, but decided to take a day off and head that way. We made the right decision. Mathews was extremely accommodating - no pressure - welcoming and helpful - In addition to having the best price, as i mentioned. Ill check Mathews first when buying our next car.

Took my 06 Honda Pilot in for a timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment service. Sounded good when i drove it away then a day later it started with a tapping, rattling sound coming from the engine area. It still has a ticking sound on the cold starts. And shortly after this found out the frame is rotted out on the same vehicle! Buyers beware of this place its went downhill a lot!

Bought a used vehicle from here 10 months ago. Dealership swore up and down it was a reliable vehicle. (passed up the same vehicle at Ricard with same year, model, trim and within 800 miles on the OD because of this) Because of this, they would not sell it to me for anything less than about $500+ over KBB value. Within those ten months it did about 5,800 miles. It was in the shop for various repairs about three times. Two weeks ago on 270, the engine blew. No signs or warnings, just went. Towed it to a local mechanic in Worthington and quoted $7500 for a new engine. So I purchased a used vehicle for $14,000 that was reliable and it couldnt even make it a year, nor 6k miles. Was pretty upset theyd claim that about the vehicle, then it up and dies. I called them to voice this concern, but I purchased it as is so they wouldnt do anything. I was now stuck with a $14,000 paperweight. Traded it in at Honda Marysville since they were willing to work with me on the negative equity of the loan, as well as give me a better deal in a replacement. Got a very nice replacement from them, with a full 8 year warranty. I recommend shopping at Honda Marysville, they at least stand behind their used vehicles.

We bought a used truck here 3 years ago and AS SOON AS we drove off the lot, the engine light came on. We returned the next day and they replaced the mass airflow sensor. Which never solved the issue. Since purchasing this vehicle, we’ve had to have it in the shop at least once every 3 months for something different! (Brakes, fuel pump, knock sensor, brake lines, shocks, crank position sensor, throttle position sensor, mass airflow sensor, ABS sensor, oil sending unit, window motor, had to replace all tires within a year, the radio hasn’t worked since day one). This truck has been a nightmare and has practically put our family in the poor house. Luckily we have a fantastic mechanic who takes excellent care of us, because Matthews sure didn’t.

I bought an 06 Honda Pilot a year ago from this place because I have 4 kids. Found out today that part of the subframe is rusted out and its not safe to drive to Tennessee with my 4 kids like i had planned. Mind you i just put $2,000 into the timing belt, water pump, gaskets, etc. I loved this vehicle and babied it. There are no recalls for this even though there should be. The only option the dealer gave me is I could trade it in because i bought the vehicle AS IS for $4900 + tax and title because i did not want the payments. Having kids is expensive let alone having 4. If i wouldve known this I wouldnt have put $2000 more into it a month ago. Im just really disappointed this vehicle is not safe and this whole scenario. I will probably take a huge loss no matter which route i take... I will never buy another vehicle from this place after putting my trust in their inspections knowing they sold me a faulty unsafe vehicle. First of all how did this vehicle pass their inspection and sold if its a common unsafe issue? Abc 6 on your side, and a lawyer are next if this isnt made right. Just because a vehicle is AS IS does not mean you guys can sell unsafe vehicles! You guys are lucky this was caught before my children were hurt!

I have bought a lot of cars over the years at Mathews Honda/Acura. The first car they sold me was a slightly used, year old 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo. I bought it from Lori McGowan, who is still there and now the sales manager! In 2000 I purchased an Acura CL Type S, in 2005 I bought an Acura TL, in 2011 a Honda Element, in 2013 a Honda Accord EX-L and my latest purchase was a 2018 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E. With each purchase I was treated with respect, the sales staff is never pushy. Eric Grills, the dealerships manager, treats you more like a friend than a customer. Matt Cortad, Matt Ault and the rest of the sales staff are great, as are Ross, Kyle, Brandon and the entire service department. YOU CANT GO WRONG BUYING A CAR FROM MATHEWS HONDA!
