We had a great experience with our salesman (Ed Chapman). Not so great with the paperwork/business end of things. Would like to take my business back to Ed but won’t be treated like that again on the business/paperwork end. It’s not hard to speak to people kindly and not raise your voice. People make mistakes but make right on them! My advice, go over every line of paperwork before you sign anything! That’s my own lesson learned. Thank you Ed from your end of how you treated us and all the time you spent with us.
On vacation in Missouri and our 2015 Tahoe headlight burned out. From previous experience they are not easy to replace. Made an on line appt for 11:00 the next day. It was repaired and I was out the door by 11:30 at a reasonable price. Could not have been a better experience.
I ha e used the service center several times for a squeak sound on my 2020 Colorado and oil changes. They have always been polite and helpful.

Service department is a joke. Had my vehicle 2 weeks for an ac leak then quoted me $602 for an o-ring to fix the leak. Take your vehicle to W-K in Sedalia, the service is much better.
I hate working with salesmen, the pressure they put on you to make quick decisions on large purchases and the haggling. I say that upfront because this was a refreshing experience. in fact, this was the best experience I had purchasing a car. The sales and financing staff were friendly, knowledgeable and eager to answer all my questions even though I arrived 30 minutes prior to closing. I would recommend asking for Ed Chapman directly. I was a unique situation where I knew exactly what I wanted so I didnt need much sales consultation, but if you did the traditional walk-in, Ed comes off as the guy to see -- very honest. This guy came in on his day off to get me squared away. He was funny and showed me how to use my new vehicle like the seasoned professional he is. At no time did I feel harassed or felt the need to haggle with anyone during the process.Gabe and the finance team were educated (didnt just read off pre-calculated payments), friendly and I appreciated his candor. There were several times I noticed him recommending me the most appropriate financing package for my situation not just those with the highest margins. Even though I went with the lowest option, I appreciated the honesty. He did offer a round of golf if I came back for my 1 free oil change, so I may be back to annoy these guys again...who knows.The sales manager, Walter, was engaged and worked with me to get me to where I wanted to be on pricing and trade through text and phone. All of Ed, Gabe and Walter stayed late through my transaction until around 7:30pm even though the business closed at 6pm. If it wasnt a 2.5 hour drive for me, I would surely purchase my next vehicle from McCarthy...thats assuming I get my hat (cough cough Chevy travel coffee mug) from Walter Baltimore Moore -- just kidding. I love my new Chevy Blazer.

Absolutely the greatest customer service Ive ever had in a vehicle dealership
I was quoted $425 to replace my A/C actuator without tax and when I received my receipt they had charged me just over $500 stating that tax was included. After further review the taxes was only $5 and the labor was $450 by itself. This experience made me feel as if I were taken advantage of and will never go there again. I was quoted at another GMC dealership around $250 just for labor and would rather make a 30min to an hour drive going forward.

I took our truck to Mc Carthy Chevrolet in Marshall due to a terrible smell when the air conditioner was used. I didnt have an appointment and they got me right in. Discovered a dead mouse and nest in filter behind glove box. They were so nice and John that fixed my problem was super nice and efficient. Will always buy our vehicles there and highly recommend them and their service dept.
Best buying experience I’ve had out of my 4 vehicles and would have no hesitation going back. I found my truck on there website and made sure it was available and it was. It was a two hour drive for me. My sales man was Edward Chapman and he made sure all the paperwork was ready and the truck was ready for when I got there. I believe I was in and out in less then a hour.
Frustrated at the lack of communication. Mechanics ran into problem that they couldnt solve, talked to factory, talked to factory engineers, etc. Meanwhile we are told nothing. We had to initiate the calls to find out what was going on and why the delay in the repair. A couple times we called and was told that the person we needed to talk to was not available at that time but would give a call in a few....no call back.

Took my car in and they said it would be first of week now they now say next week. Last time they had ti call GM.in Detroit to find out what was wrong. They had it for a month and it cost.me bigam disabled and need my vehicle. They act like they do not care.

Worst experience buying a car.you save your hard earned money to go buy a car.2 weeks down line I have a bad transmission. the importance of integrity when you make promises on used vehicles and sell to despite people you guys should think of that.

Bought a used vehicle from this dealership got the car on a Saturday (03/20/21) on Sunday (03/21/21) the check engine light come on. On Wednesday (3/24/21) the car stopped on the highway,called Ed the salesman who sold me the car,he told me to get the code checked at autozone I did sent him the codes and that the last I had of him,left like 2 voicemails no call back,they called me today saying that they sell cars and they aren’t mechanics so when they sold the car they didn’t know what was wrong with the car.Now I am stuck with a car that I put money down and have to fix it out of my pocket.

It was good and great service. Beside the part that i had an appointment at 9 oclock that was schedule for almost a week. So when i came in at 8:45 15 minutes earlier to my 9 oclock appointment, they didnt get my vehicle in intel about 11 somthing. If somone has an appointment and was schedule for almost a week ahead of time, you think you would put that vehicle in at the correct time instead of letting others in front of me. If you was booked and already had appointments at that time, why couldnt someome let me know? Or say somthing over the phone? Or schedule me for another day, if your already booked for that day or time, shoot for another time or day. Dont try to rush people in and fit them around others appointment isnt very customer service.

Bringing my business to McCarthy CBG was the worst auto purchase experience that Ive ever been through, and continue to go through today. If you value a professional, ethical business transaction with best in class customer service, youll want to avoid this dealership at all costs. Youll assuredly have a much better experience at the small private lots that everyone warns you about.This has been an unraveling saga for over a week now so I will try to cut it as short as possible.First of all, anyone reading this should know that McCarthy CBG cashed a personal check of ours in the amount of $25,000 that was held as collateral while we waited on Bank of America to send the check for the auto loan that we were approved for. They did this without our authorization, approval or even a courtesy call as they felt that it was within their right to do so after Bank of America dragged their feet on sending the check. So in short, McCarthy CBG over drafted our checking account triggering the remainder to be withdrawn from our savings account - even though they had our trade in vehicle ($13K value) and still held the title to the new vehicle (which they offered to us to take possession of during our visit). They had plenty of collateral.When we received the alerts that our checking account had been drained, I immediately called our sales rep, Rick Whitlock, and left an urgent message. He has yet to call us back to even attempt to act as a customer advocate or liaison through this ordeal.I then called the branch and asked to speak with Walter, their general manager. I did speak with Walter, who assured me that it was a mistake and that he would immediately look into it and get back to us. Tick tock, tick tock.I called for Walter two more times that day - sent to VMI called back to the branch and then asked for Gabe, their finance manager. My discussion with Gabe took on a new form in contrast to what the General Sales Manager, Walter, had told me. In fact, I got the distinct impression that Gabe thought that we werent within our rights to be upset about them cashing the check, and that he felt that they were owed their money. He said If I were you, Id be upset with Bank of America, not us ; implying that it was somehow Bank of Americas fault that they cashed our $25,000 check without authorization, or even a phone call. Keep in mind that while we were at the dealership we tried to even put an additional $10,000 down on the vehicle beyond our trade in which McCarthy CBG declined as they said they would have to pay transaction fees to run my debit card .Gabe refused to commit to sending us a a check back to reimburse us for our $25,000 until I three way called Bank of America to have them verbally confirm to him that my wife and I were not at fault for the delay in payment. After Bank of America confirmed that they were at fault for the delays so far, Gabe committed to sending us a reimbursement check. He promised that it would be ONDA to us. That was last Friday 4/2, today is Tuesday 4/6. We have had to transfer funds out of savings into our checking account to cover our mortgage payment this month and still - not a word from McCarthy CBG.Here are some bullet points for the TLDR:- My wife and I both have credit scores over 800 and we came in with pre-approved loan rates that they couldnt match- We attempted to put down an additional $10,000 beyond our trade in and $500 deposit and McCarthy CBG declined (transaction fees)- We are stuck in the middle of two horrible services; Bank of America and McCarthy CBG. We have done everything in our power to expedite payment to McCarthy from BoA (eight phone calls now to BoA since 4/1)- They cashed our check at the end of the month, end of the quarter. Most likely for accounting to log for bonus incentive purposes- This business values money first and customers last. When you walk in the door here you may notice the distinct lack of customers as we did. Thats because at McCarthy CBG youre just someone with something that they want. Money

I was looking for a good, clean low mileage vehicle, I found the McCarthy Chevrolet, Buick, GMC dealership. They had vehicles I was interested in, so I sent an email asking my questions. I was contacted immediately by Matt Croissant, the Internet Sales manager. Matt took it upon himself to give me a virtual tour of the vehicle that showed all the good points of the vehicle I was interested in, which wasnt the vehicle I ended up buying. Matt helped me find a vehicle that already had the extras that I needed and saved me close to $2,000 dollars from the one I initially contracted them about.,McCarthy also had the biggest selection of 2017 and 2018 vehicles that I was interested in.It was a pleasure doing business with them, they treated me like a friend or family member instead of just a customer.I want to thank Matt again for his great service.
Took my car to have it diagnosed, I already new it had a P0017 code, they took over an hour to diagnose it said it didnt have that code but had a different one for purge solenoid, I changed that and reset engine light, in less than 2 miles it came back on. Took car back today, and magically the P0017 code was on their machine! Then the guy told me it was crankshaft sensor, and I informed him I had already changed it, then he says oh theres 2 of them. After some research online I found out that it doesnt have 2 only 1and that it needed a camshaft sensor.

Typically I try to avoid buying a vehicle from a dealer for all the reasons they excelled. He was helpful and their staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. They were polite, we felt like we were treated fairly and they clearly have an emphasis on customer satisfaction. I would not hesitate to do business with them again.
