This place is a throwback to a bygone era. Very friendly staff, great service and reasonably priced. Family friendly. A fairly broad menu for a small roadside stop.

The only place Ive been able to find Flavor Burst ice cream. Try the green apple with caramel on top, yum! Also great in a cone. A friend introduced me to their Boston Shake, its a flavored shake served with a sundae on top, pretty cool. Foot long hot dogs are also good!

There was hardly any chilli on the my footlong. And the chilli is more spicy this year. So u pay for the chilli but only received a plain footlong.

Had a walking taco and it was good. My son had a foot long hotdogs and he said it was delicious. The best part of it all was the ice cream 😁😉

Ive been visiting Tastee Freeze since I was a very little child, and the quality of the experience has always been consistently wonderful. Footlong hot dogs or chili dogs are a must, and the ice cream just finishes the experience with a sweet topping. Please stop there and keep a wonderful piece of Marshalltown history thriving.

My niece and I took her kids here for an ice cream cone. The service was friendly, fast and the prices are reasonable. I ordered a specialty flavor- caramel pecan. It didnt taste much like caramel or pecans; I was hoping for more flavor but I was sadly disappointed.

Ordered a cheese dog with onions and foot long light on mustard and ended up with two foot longs with so much mustard it was hard to eat them. Was out on 30 going home and didnt want to turn around. Time before was great.

Our family was out for an evening walk and decided to stop for ice cream. We were placing our order when I realized that my wallet was left at home. I told the girl behind the counter not to make anything yet and we would walk home and come back. As we walked off one of the employees came out off the back door and told us to come back. A man (owner or manager?!) said they would make our order and we could come back to pay whenever it was convenient. Ice cream was great and the so was the service. I dont go anywhere in these times expecting trust like this or good customer relations, but was very happy to find both.
