Staff is mostly friendly. Im not sure how they stay in business when their items are overly expensive. Place is ok in a pinch. I wouldnt shop here regularly.

Good selection great service. I always go here when i am working on a project. They will help me work thru what i need for a handyman job. My favorite part of this place is the nuts and bolts section. They can help you find the nut or bolt for your project. I needed bolts to attach my head board to my frame. I took the bracket asked how think the wood they were going in they found me bolts and nuts suggested locking washers and nuts for extra security. And it was $3 for everything

Convenient but some of the staff us iffy. And they have higher prices but it outweighs the trip clear across town to their competitors.

I needed a micro screwdriver for my laptop... Linda is a godsend she walked me up to the front and grabbed a few options for me and help me go thru sizes... Turns out the one that I need was a 4in1 for $3!! I recommend you ask for Linda for anything you need in there... she was fantastic and really turned around my overall experience today. Thank you Linda it fit great, laptop fixed!

The people are very helpful. They found the exact screw I needed and even put it on for me. They didnt have the other part but directed me to another store to get it even though my only other purchase was for 28 cents.

Great place to take windows for repair

It was fantastic to be able to borrow a spreader with the purchase of grass seed. I was, however, disappointed when all my questions were answered with I dont know. I expected more from Ace Hardware and their associates. Could have purchased for less elsewhere, but came to Ace/Kramer for their famous service reputation . Didnt receive any.

Kramer Ace Hardware is a great community asset with helpful, knowledgeable workers.

I rented a U-haul van at Kramer Hardware in Mason City (IA), drove it 360 miles, and got charged for 913 miles. Kramer and U-haul insist there was no error. If you rent a vehicle from these people, make sure the odometer reading matches the contract before you accept it!!!!

Most if the staff is good with the exception of one person. A employee with short dark hair and scruffy facial hair ignored me and then was rude to me. I ended up walking out of the store. I will drive further and pay more to be treated with more respect.

Brandon was on the ball. Ask what I needed ...paint ..had it ready in less than 5 min. There is always a friendly vibe in this store.

Easy to find just off highway 18 on the East side of Mason City. They have lots of items from lawn & garden to hardware. Prices are high compared to Menards.

Didnt have wire we needed, did have a switch, but it was expensive and we can get it online for less.

Loyal and frequent customer before today - terrible customer service from the manager; will be taking my business elsewhere. I think any business would name customer service as a number one priority, apparently they do not.Had am item ring up for more than listed on the shelf, they did a price check and found the item in one place for the price I stated and another place with no price. Employee unable to do price adjusment and the manager was unwilling to do anything. Words that both of them said to me customers move stuff around all the time failing to identify that they also had them on an unmarked shelf. The money is not the issue, it was only $4...but I expect good customer service and the manager did the opposite, offered no help and blamed their customers for the problem! Would be one star if not for the two non managerial employees doing what they could do for me. Think the manager could learn something from their employees.

They are so rude and pushy had to wait 20 mins to get help with a u-haul that I rented. Then I was told that they rented it to someone else
