Not helpfulThis was my mistake. I had turned into Mattress Firm instead of Sleepworks across the street. The person on duty could have easily told me that I may have made a mistake and intended to go to Sleepworks. Instead, it became a battle of wills: him insisting they had no record of me, and me scrambling to find my emails, until I realized I had the wrong door. A simple courteous redirection to Sleepworks could have avoided my confusion.

Service was fast, easy and very professional.Was surprised by the extra $50.00 charge for “Gold Service”. I was not told about this charge. It just appeared on the bill. That being said, I figured the $50.00 was worth me not having to bag up the old box spring and mattress and drag it to the curb.Overall, I’m completely satisfied with the service. The mattress? Fan-TAS-tic! Love it! The salesman? Friendly, engaged, but utilized old school sneaky sales tactics that are outdated & almost cost him the sale. Maybe their corporate office encourages this, but tell me about delivery fees and mattress covers that cost a fortune BEFORE you write up the order and I have my credit card out. I was a sales trainer who specialized in consultative sales, and there are so many ways this could have been handled without the distaste we experienced, and without jeopardizing the sale. MattressFirm, you do NOT want your customers to have that taste in their mouths when they leave.

William Lathem doesnt inform you properly before selling you a mattress. He signed me up for a credit card and ran my credit score(lowering it) without telling me all the details.He also sold me a mattress that came with a free adjustable base. When I returned the mattress, I still had to pay for the adjustable base. (Something that was given to me freely, I then had to pay for)Ive spoken to Mattress Firms sales people, and some of them are good but the companys policy allows people like William Lathem to continue selling to people without giving them all the details.Its like asking someone to sign a contract when they dont speak English.

Made a phone call around 3:00 pm to the massapequa store on sunrise highwayIn New York and was helped by a nice gentleman by the name of Sanjiv Sinha. He was kind and courteous.
