Even though its inside a small and fairly dead shopping center, this JCPenny is still about the same as any other location. The only difference is that this one may be smaller compared to other locations.I normally order clothes online but I needed a dress shirt faster than it would ship. Walked in, found exactly what I needed. Staff was also very pleasant.Great place to buy clothing for sure.

Much improved! Mothers Day jewelry dept gift specials saved my day Chinese made irked me. As only discounted and affordable merchandise.Wife says womens clothing are overpriced poor women designed clothing! She wants downstate Macys type stock!And finally after all my past complaints the dressing room for sizing tryout is finally open! Dont ever do that again in rural communities as the new clothing and shoe merchandise are often not the size they claim! Customers needs and wants always and always come first not corporate beancounters!Thank you!

The last anchor in a dying mall. They carry some good brands, and if you catch a sale youll get a fair price. There always seems to be plenty of staff and the store is generally neat, but the racks are crowded together and youll have to work around some creative solutions to multiple roof leaks. Not many options in town, so they fill a need, but only just.

Its now so much as the store is only a 3 but its in a mall with nothing in it as for the store its not much different then any other JCPenneys

Customer service was good, especially at the jewelry counter. The enforce COVID 19 guidelines, and they had a great selection of the products i was looking for.

The clerk was able to order the item that I needed, that I couldnt do from home.

They did have a lot of good sales. And they do carry good product line. The help was friendly

Terrible,You dont have enough of a variety, everyone around here has on the same clothes,your products are getting cheap looking & most of the womens clothes are not up to date. Looks like over priced Alfred Dunner for old ladies

Merylin was very helpful to me finding what I needed. I enjoyed shopping at JCPENNEY, they have some good quality items in the Massena Store. I hope that it stays open because we dont have too many stores here.

I had an enjoyable experience. The cashier named Tabitha was very helpful and kind. She is very pleasant and knowledgeable. She is a keeper. If I had a business the would be on the top of my list to hire. J C Penny is so lucky to have her. This is my first time meeting her but I feel like we bonded.

Usually they are nice and work with you, I do say some of them need better customer service. They have some attitudes sometimes when your returning items or exchanging.

Very depressing not much merchandise no cashiers at registers. No people shopping with covid

My 91 year old mom needed some winter pants and there are few options in this area. Thank goodness for JCPenney in Massena! They had a good choice for her and she is harder to fit. Staff in womens section was really kind and helped us. She was great! However, staffing in general was light and several elderly customers were asking for staff who could help them and with most staff needing to man the register there was no help in sight. Need more staff. Ample parking as mall is empty and good sales.

Quite literally the closest and finest place to shop for a cheap suit near Potsdam, NY.

Had a nice time school shopping. The Male cashier was somewhat snooty and rushing us that he didnt use any of my rewards for me and wasnt helpful when I was trying to find coupons for my large purchase.

Good sales today. Saved 35.00 on jeans and a winter coat for my son.

This JC Penny has downsized from what the store once used to be. I would have to say that it now has about 1/2 the merchandise it once carried and it doesnt carry the same quality or high end name brand merchandise it once had. The merchandise is often the same quality of that one would expect to find in a Walmart. And selection is often better at the local Walmart with better prices unless one is to shopping clothing or a sale. The sales are absolutely worth the trip and the time. However, if you are going in looking to expect the selection from years past its not there unless advertised.

Im not really into JC Penney Store but im sure it is a great place to shop if u can aford it

Most of the items sold here are over priced. Although when they have a sale, they have a sale. Black Friday is always great here.
