I havent been to a phone store since covid started the last time I was in this Verizon they had phones on every single space they had a counter actually two counters that you could stand at and get your phones fixed and talk to the people. Now theres seats with plexiglass between you and the person helping you theres very few phones on the walls I felt okay about my visit, the young man who tried to help me get a good job Ive just never had to do my own phone by myself before so I ended up phoneless for 3 days. I wont let it deter me from going to that Verizon

First off my wife and I have been Verizon customers for decades now. Our experience today with this location was not pleasant, which seems inline with some of the more negative reviews here.We went in to purchase an Apple watch (8/29/2021), which honestly we felt rushed and before we signed the agreement we asked what our monthly bill would look like and our agent could not tell us. What we were told is that this location was a sales location and could not access our billing in that manner. What corporate Verizon told me when I called them, is that simply is not true. They are customer care agents and can help with whatever our needs may be. Also some of the technical information that we were told was incorrect as well.To the manager of this facility, please help your agents understand that the customer is the reason they have a job. Our agent was nice but it ends there. In summary we felt rushed and unheard.I noticed as well all the cookie cutter responses to the consumer comments. We have taken the time to write out a review, please put sometime into your response, honestly I think it would go a bit further.

They way they have the store set up is nice but they have to check you in, nobody bothered to speak to me. They dont even tell the customers how to check in or what to do. Very very slow workers, no concerns with the people coming in the door.If I had Verizon Id have to cancel and go somewhere else.Very unprofessional workers...

I usually avoid providing reviews. However, I feel compelled to share my experience. After some research, I decided to purchase a phone from the Matthews location last Saturday. It was by far one of my most unpleasant experiences with Verizon. I even mentioned to Sammy (rep) the customer service is not what I expected. It was about a quick sale. There was no assistance with activation of the phone. He quickly told me what I needed to do to activate it. If I have problems with it, then come back to the store. Unbelievable!! Ive had my current phone about 4 or 5 years. It loses charge quickly. I would not have cared about a new phone, if not for the rapid charge depletion. As of yet, I have not taken the new phone out of the box. I am considering returning it to the store. Fortunately, I have been able to speak twice with Justin, a rep with the customer contact center. He has done more to instill some level of confidence in Verizon. After 19 years of customer loyalty, you would think a bit of customer service is warranted. Perhaps, my expectations are too high.

Been with Verizon since 2003 and pay about $200 per month religiously. It is always pretty painful going to this location. Made an on line appointment which stated it was between 1-1:30. Arrived at 1:10 and waited about 8-10 minutes at the front door to be checked in with only two staff working the floor. Kacey the “manager” came out of the back room and I informed him that we had an appointment. He said to me I was late and “would get around to you when we can.” I said I had an appointment between 1-1:30 and was waiting at the door for a while. He stated he was only in the back for 2 minutes which was totally patently false. While waiting, a woman without an appointment was checked in and helped immediately, really? Travis finally worked us and was a true gentleman and quite patient and helpful to my 84 year old mother. You definitely need more Travis’s working there. Kacey should be running the customer service prevention department and requires remedial training in customer service and leadership. I realize that I’m likely going to receive a standard canned boiler plate useless “Sorry to hear” answer from the owner which would be par for the course. Probably drive to another location in the future even if it further away. Pretty bad 👎

Had a very good experience and service at this store. I had the same young man both trips, first to purchase and unfortunately to return in two weeks. We email our appointment in around 11am and got appointment for 7pm. Got there early around 645 and was seated right away .Travis was our salesperson and did a outstanding job, he was very knowledgeable about our needs and made the purchase a very nice experience.. just a great job ..

These guys wasted so much of my time! Showed them my phone and the associate says yeah your screen is cracked. Did not even offer to look into my plan to see if id be interested in another phone! Gives me the # for the warranty on a sticky note + says I call that to make my claim and take the phone to u break i fix for repair. I go there and no its not a screen but a new phone i need! wasted an hour of my time! Never ever going back to this location!!!

The problem with Verizon is that they dont give the employees in the store any real control or power to help. Driving to a corporate store, you would imagine that youd be able to get things taken care of. But all theyre able to do is just dial customer service for you and you could do that from your own home. At least when youre in your own home, you can eat or watch television or do anything else rather than just sit there and be frustrated in public. the store itself physically was very bland and very gray and looked kind of like a hospital waiting room with a lot of phones. The gentleman who helped me was kind, but I understand that Frontline employees arent given what they need. I also understand that Verizon doesnt care if they have my business in the long-term or not. So I will be switching to another carrier.

HORRIBLE experience. Waited in this establishment for over 30 minutes before an employee even walked up to us. Other customers (of a different race) came in well after we were already waiting and were assisted before us. We just ended up leaving because of the lack of respect and service. Sorry I switched to Verizon. We were contacted around April/May 2020 from an employee, Marc, that works out of Matthews, NC. He called US to let us know he can provide us a cheaper plan. We were hesitant bc we were fine with our plan (paid about $265)) and did not want to go thru the hassle of switching. Marc let us know he could save us monthly AND get us brand new Iphones & watches without costing anything up front (monthly $240). he explained we would have to order an additional phone without paying for the equipment charges and it still would be cheaper per month. We did not need an additional phone so he said he will send us one and we just keep it in the box. All we would see on our bill is the phone number of the unused phone. When we finally agreed it took us until mid-July for him to process everything and send out phones...when we were promised 2-3 weeks. Our bills then started to have the unused phone charge along with $65 charge for the equipment of that unused phone! My husband contacted him multiple times since August 2020. He has left messages; he has spoken to Marc who said he sees that the equipment should not be charged, and he will correct the bill. I have emailed him, we have called him, we have left messages after messages. He promises he will correct our bill. Now it is 4/2021 and he has stopped responding. I have requested supervisor info, manager info any other employee at Verizon that can correct our bill and no word! We went from paying $265.00 to Marc promising $240 to now we are paying $285! He contacted US to save us money and he scammed us into paying more money! Do not switch to Verizon. Marc admitted the bill was incorrect and refuses to correct it! Verizon and Marc D. Elmore are not standing up to Verizon’s core values of INTEGRITY, RESPECT, PREFORMANCE or ACCOUNTABLILITY!

Because he was extremely rude before and after we were allowed to enter the store we abruptly left. We will go elsewhere for an answer. I have no idea why this store is even open. I had a problem with my phone and the clerk would not even look at it,We dont repair phones here, and we dont sell batteries. He said he could show us new phones, so we looked at what was offered and asked about a particular phone. Not in stock. Order it online. You can pick it up in the store, but they will not transfer your data for you. So basically they are a phone display store. It would be cheaper for them to just send out a catalogue! So go to Best Buy if you need a new phone, they are very helpful.

Shopping during this pandemic has a lot of obstacles. This Verizon store doesn’t make it easy. I purchased online and was sent a message once the order was filled. When I arrived I was the only car in front of the building. I went to the app and checked in for curbside service. (According to the email curbside service was the only option) Several cars pulled up and left during the hour I waited patiently. Finally the security guard, not a VZW employee, came outside to ask what I was waiting for. A few minutes later a lady brought out my phone and didn’t even apologize for my wait. I asked if the curbside service wasn’t working and she simply said the people were tied up. I feel like I at least deserved an apology.

Due to the virus they were allowing customers in as they came to the door. As for the person that assists you, (or at least the one I had) he did not appear to be very knowledgeable on products. I was there for a case and screen protector. They have always allowed me to try a case before buying however the associate could not figure how to get it out of the box therefore I would have had to buy the case without seeing how it felt and looked on my phone. I quickly took it out of the box for him! I bought a screen protector and was very disappointed they would not install it for me. As usual I messed up putting it on and now have a brand new phone with a $50 screen protector with bubbles and other bad spots. Not the service I have experienced in the past.

On 3/8/20 I purchased a $1200 phone online...bank held charge until I approved purchase. Submitted the order and decided to pick it up at the store. Happy with the rep who helped with the phone but by the time I arrived there were three orders in the system. I was assured all additional orders would be cleared, and my credit card would be credited. Stopped by the store Monday, and had I known all theyd do was call customer service, I could have saved myself the trouble...I walked out after getting the side-eye from every rep in the joint as I was on the phone with 611. Bottom line, I was assured within 3-5 days my credit card would be credited. Tomorrow is 7 days and I still have a $1200 charge on the card and $1200 on my Verizon bill. When all was said and done, it was finally corrected on 4/1. Lastly dont let them choose your features or youll be calling CS to get that corrected as well.

I was very disappointed with the customer service today. I called because I broke my screen. I asked if they sold them, the guy said yes for 49 bucks! I asked if that was installed and everything. He said yes because it was a screen protector.... If I broke my screen, I dont want a protector I want a new screen. So hang up and do the chat thing to get help. I talk with Regan and she tells me to go the Matthews store and they will fix my screen. I ask about the deductible she said the store will handle all that. So I go to the store. Lady greets me and asks how she can help. I explained that I had a chat thing and the lady said to look up her notes. I thought this is going to be great!! Then... you dont have Insurance. What?! Well you owe 200 so you can pay it off and trade it in... is that really the answer for all phone issues??? Trade it in... geezeeeeeee I paid 700 for this one and just want a screen!!!! She passed me off to Rob, I asked Rob if they have new screens for my phone and he says let me check. He comes back with a 49 dollar screen protector.... I said you must be the guy I talked to on the phone.... I dont want to protect a broken screen, I want a new screen like I asked for.... Why... is that so hard????

They asked us what we want in the phone they did not explain everything to the phone as it turns out the phone that we got does not have the pictures that we asked for. My advice to other people though I love Verizon service stay out of their office because theyre going to do a snap on you and then theyre going to give you a refurbished. Their service sucks

Ive used this store exclusively over the years. Ive always experienced good customer service. Its a VERY busy store, so I expect a wait. We just purchased a phone a few days ago for our daughter and the associate was so kind and no pushy whatsoever. And for what its worth, Verizon has the best coverage out there. I am always able to get access, and Ive been to some very remote areas.

Horrible costumer service. I bought a phone here 4 days ago and the sales representative was great, very helpful. Today the screen protector (which was installed by staff in the store) popped off. Staff was very short, impolite, and NOT interested in helping correct the issue. Better off going to a different store or ordering online where staff actually do their job and care about their costumers.

I went to change my plan for one more inexpensive. I clearly notice the representative was not very attentive in comparison the time that i opened my account time ago. as none of the plans were satisfactory to me i asked the representative for information about terminating my service. The representative was clearly rushing to finish with my consultation and told me that because i have already payed my phones i was free to go. I restate my question, do i have to pay any termination fee or something? she just say no. in next two days i changed my provider and ported my numbers. i called Verizon to verified that the account was close. the guy in the phone stated that i have to pay for one more month, basically my billing period was renewed 5 days back and and i should talked with verizon before ending the service. i state that it was exactly what i did in THIS STORE and i asked about it but the representative never give me that information. the guy in the phone said that i have to pay the whole moth regardless it was only 5 days of service and thats the agreement . i understand the verizon billing policy, what really bothers me is the representative in the store never give me this information when i asked and i was a costumer. after re-stating constantly that the store representative did not provider me with accurate information, the guy in the phone stated that my consult about other plans were documented but not my question about ending the service and suggested me to go to the store. this is very bad costumer service and only reflects that as long you are buying something they are going to be attentive. this is very dishonest to the costumer and i saying again: the problem is not the full month agreement, it is the fact that the representative in this store never gave me the right information. disrespect the costumer is the lower that can get. i put one star but it deserves 0.

Went to this location to upgrade our service. Service rep was short with us and very rude. He also gave us incorrect plan information. We left and went to the Verizon store at the Arboretum. Great experience. Shon gave us options that the other rep didn’t. My advice... drive right by this store and go to the Arboretum store!

What a pathetic and lousy service and worst customer experience I have had.THEY ONLY CARE IF YOURE BRINGING IN SOME MONEY, DONT EXPECT CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE!Had to get in line first and waited for more than 30 minutes for a 20 minutes wait lol, but okay I understand that part.I went there just to get a sim card, that Verizon had asked me to get it from here, these guys activated in such a way that I was not able to make a call or text.Anyways rather than resolving my issue, they put me on a phone with someone for which I had to wait half an hour, after half an hour someone picked the call, troubleshooted for about an hour and then hung up on me, and these guys basically kicked me out because it was their closing time.Spent 2 to 3 hours here and not a single employee helped!

I had an excellent experience at the Verizon store. The store rep, Jon, was absolutely excellent. I upgraded to a new Samsung S10e, from the Galaxy S5. He made the entire process virtually seamless. He transfered all of my apps, replaced my Sims and SD cards, installed my protective glass cover and the new cell phone cover. He explained the new functions and changes from me old phone. He was very pleasant and and all if questions. Thanx Jon!

A couple guys there act like racists, especially their store manager, a short white guy. When I got in the store, they looked up and ignored me. I need to go and ask the store manger to check me in. During my hour and half stay, other people were all greeted nicely with smiles. Yes, I stayed there patiently for an hour and half, while other customers got taken care in higher priorities. The folks sitting next to me got there later than me but served earlier than me with two helpers. I am a Asian women with graduate degree in US, speak ok English, always have a smile on the face. I don’t know why I was treated differently here.

After being on hold for quite some time with Verizon customer service I decided it would be quicker just to drive to the store. Who knew when you called the store number it just routes you to regular customer service. Well, Im glad I went down there. Hannah, who was working the check in process, was very helpful. After telling her my charging port wasnt working, instead of telling me to get a new phone she suggested the much cheaper option of a wireless charger. I hadnt even considered that. She talked me through how much it would cost to replace the phone, buy it out, or buy the charger. Lastly, she recommended a repair shop, saying getting it repaired was most likely my most economical option. Id give it five stars, except sadly they wouldnt have been able to replace my phone in store had I gone the route of using my insurance plan. Thank you, Hannah, for not just suggesting the most expensive option and helping me in such a quick way!

Service at this store is definitely what I would call hit-and-miss. The guy who helped me last time was great, but one of the other employees (Jacobius or something like that) was extremely rude to someone who came in looking for help getting data off a dead phone. The customer didnt know what he was talking about and the employee had no interest in helping him to understand or offering assistance, he just seemed to want the guy to go away. As someone who works in IT I fully appreciate how annoying it is when someone talks out of there backside, but you have to be respectful to your customers.

Went there to simply upgrade a phone and walked out because of a mix of sales pressure and incorrect advice. I dont need to know several reasons of why I need phone insurance after Ive declined and it doesnt take 3 hours to transfer my videos and photos from old phone. Went across to street to Best Buy. They were much nicer and better accessory selection.

The customer service was excellent. I have visited the store a couple times due to some technical issues, both times I met with Melvin. The store seems to get quite a lot of traffic, and the team their does a great job in getting you squared away in a timely fashion. It all starts with a proper and professional meet and greet. With regards my most recent visit, time will tell if the quality of my service (signal strength/calls/etc) continues to get better, but the quality of the customer service itself in store by Melvin and the store manager Chip was superior. They went above and beyond which is a quality that lacks when calling and speaking with the 1 800 customer service reps. If I am to stick with Verizon as a carrier I will definitely be back to see the team there.

My girlfriend and I went to this location to get her phone switched over. Steve Cunningham was very helpful and friendly. Will come back just because of his customer service. If you go there ask for Steve, he is the man!

I love this store & all the reps. Anyone says differently probably had a broken phone with no insurance then proceeds with (I’ve been a customer for x amount of years) AND??? So has many others, let’s not mention always past due. If you’re really that disgusted with Verizon, call customer service, ask for your account number and leave. It’s that simple.. Cudos to Verizon in Matthews, my family loves you all.

Joseph Garcia helped me today at the Matthews Township Parkway location.It could not have went any better! ! As a senior citizen I dread going into the telephone store as our technical skills are limited.But I walked right in, no waiting and Joseph gave me exactly what I needed and wanted. This is my first experience with Verizon and I sure hope I continue to be so pleased. :)
