American Engine does Great work with all my familys vehicles. Ive been going to them for years. AL, the general manager, is THE BEST! They have good communication & listens very well with everytime I have a problem with my vehicle.Weve had motors installed and many more huge to small jobs done. I would not trust these disloyal technicians to work on my BICYCLE after the damage they caused to my vehicle during a simple engine swap that resulted in unnecessary repairs to many other parts because they failed to properly put things back how they were before they found it. They kept saying ITS RECOMMENDED and when you decline those recommended items on the work order they PURPOSELY make sure your vehicle is affected by them. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

These guys do great work. Al knows his stuff, and is good at explaining the process throughout. Mike is a pleasure to talk to, and you will learn something from him on every visit. Obviously, no one WANTS to come here, but when u do, ur treated fairly, and the work is done right the first time! Keep up the good work guys! And thank you!

My 2008 Chevy Impala was misfiring, and I was unable to pass emissions. Alvaro and his team had done work on my husbands 2008 Honda Accord, so Id had prior dealings with them. This was early November, and I am pleased to say that all repairs were done beyond my expectations! Alvaro was professional, courteous, and informative from start to finish!!

Ali and Mike, owner and office worker, were very professional. Going into a car mechanic is always difficult, but these two individuals make you feel at ease. They explain everything to you and even give you options. I didnt feel like I was being taken advantage of. They returned calls asap and kept me updated every step of the way.

Had an engine rebuilt years ago. They were caught red-handed when I noticed old parts on the engine where I paid them to put new parts (engine mount, fuel injector wire connectors, etc.). My water pump failed a year after and they wouldnt let me return the part under warranty to Napa where they bought it (and over-charged me for the part originally too) (I even did the labor because it was easier than towing the Jeep to them)

I always bring my personal and business vehicles here because they do quality work that is very reasonable and the turnaround time is the best Ive experienced in the area bar none.

I seized the engine in my 2008 Chevy Impala LTZ. I had two choices, sell what was once a $6,500 car for junk or parts for around $400 or have a new engine installed. Rebuilds and crate engines were just outta my price range so I looked around for someone who might have a used 3.9 liter V6. I found that someone, American Engine Installations! From the moment Melissa picked up the phone and Alvaro educated me on my options, I was confident I had stumbled on to a treasure right here in the Chicago-land area. They had my car for about two weeks and I asked them to do some other major repairs. But the bottom line is I picked up my car this week and I couldnt be happier! The engine idles and accelerates as well as it ever did! Ive had it for going on a week now and no glitches. She runs smooth and sounds great! Although Alvaro and his crew can install rebuilds and crate engines, it was such a relief to find someone who would search used engines and help me meet my budget! Melissa is courteous, knowledgeable and customer service oriented. She helped keep me abreast of every detail as regards cost during the installation process and I always felt like American Engine Installations really cared about delivering superior results. As for Alvaro and his crew, the only word that comes to mind is Studs!!! You dont have to be a mechanic to understand that an engine replacement is no small task. Only the most experienced mechanics can handle such a big project and these guys delivered HUGE!! I cant say thank you enough to the crew at American Engine Installations and am very impressed with the way I was treated, from start to finish. Im so happy to have my car back and it runs great! Thanks guys!

Had a rebuilt engine placed in for me in my f150. Had it done within 7 days and it’s running great. Very recommended!

Went in for a front and back brake and rotor replacement, brakes came out fine, but either Alvaro or who ever else worked on my car failed horribly at replacing the rear driver tire and lug nuts. On my drive home tonight said tire came off the wheel hub and the lug nuts were nowhere to be found. Would not recommend anyone to go get their vehicle repaired here.

This company America Engin Install has committed fraud. I am filing a police report and contacting the consumer fraud divion in the States Attorneys office. My law suit will follow. They lied about work that was done. I marked the parts that needed to be changed and sure enough they charged me for labor and parts on items that were not changed. Also. The engine they put in failed in the warranty period and they claim they put in another but it failed on my way home from picking it up. Stay away from rhis company. This is my opinion. The legal fight starts today.
