We’ve had to take our truck in twice on two seperate issues from prior work completed at another shop that wasn’t done correctly. We contacted Bob Thomas Automotive shop, they immediately scheduled us and called us letting us know what was going on with our truck and kept us informed through the whole process. Worst experience here. Had my truck towed in to be looked at because mechanic i normally go to was very booked out. My issues was truck would not crank over. After 3 diffrent stories i had it towed to the other mechanic shop. The had it fixed in 2 hours for $350. This place tried to charge me $1200 and told me 3 different parts needed to be replaced 3 diffrent stories and diffrent parts. Get it together. Beware!

Another great experience with Bob and his team . Showed up with what I thought was a sensor problem (battery light on dash ) No appointment ! Loren immediately worked to fit my repairs in to their work for the day, I was told it would be ready the next day . Bob drove me home and at 4:00 I was called and Bob came back to the house a gave me a lift back to his shop. The mechanic who did the repairs was very professional and explained what was repaired . I have never had a bad experience at Bobs Shop. Great people, great work, fair prices, and family based . Thank you for your fast service .

I had my first experience with these folks was with my 9 y.o. mazda that a local dealership messed up. They never turned a wrench on my baby, and these cats, over the phone, were able help get her on the road.So I sent my mom down. Shes a sweet little 64 y.o. women, who got treated the way she as a person should be. And yet they were able to go above and beyond. For no reason except it is what is right. I wish more companies could follow in there footsteps a little more.

I have taken my car to Bob Thomas for oil changes and mechanical problems over several years and they are always friendly and helpful. They dont overcharge on their services and they give alternatives and choices where possible. They have shuttle services and take you where you need to go. You couldnt find a nicer group of people and more helpful group than at Bob Thomas Automotive. I have recommended Bob Thomas to family and friends and, they too, are happy with their services.

By FAR this is the best place to get anything that you need done to your car! I am in my 60s and have been to many auto shops so I know a good one when you finally find it. Bob Thomas himself is so nice and helpful. My car had many different symptoms, they could have told me lots of things needed fixed - but they didnt. Turned out that the reason it was so hard to handle and stop, plus very low gas milage, was because Les Schwab had put 50 pounds of air into tires that only require around 30! This shop is top notch! They have a lifetime customer.

My experience with Bobs shop has been positive. Theyve given me no reason to distrust their workmanship and advice, unlike the local shop I dealt with previously. Bobs mechanics are not on flat rate, which means they have the time to do it right.Of course, no ones perfect. But I believe Bob will fix his mistakes at his own expense, if he believes youre being forthright with him.

The service is outstanding. I knew I could trust them when the first time I had them service my car, they discovered one windshield wiper was new and the other was not - when they should have both been the same. They replaced only the old one.Communication is excellent. The prices are more than fair. They have a discount for AAA members. They never try to sell a service you dont need. I trust them.

My car broke down when I came down from Portland for a wedding. I took my car to Bob Thomas and had the best experience Ive ever had with a mechanic. They even gave me the number of a place to buy a new car. I ended up having them fix it and even got a ride to drop off my rental. The experience was so good I briefly thought I should move to Medford if the people were all this helpful.

I have been taking both of my vehicles (two prior vehicles and two current ones) to Bob Thomas Automotive for at least 10 years (maybe longer), having everything done to both cars from routine maintenance to new transmission installation. The service personnel, both office and hands-on folks, have always been courteous and attentive to our needs and have gone out of their way on occasion to accommodate us on special circumstances. If we did not have extreme confidence in the service weve received, and expect to receive in the future, I would not be writing this review!! The only reason I will rate the business with 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that no one is perfect, so Ill give them a 4.9 stars!!!

I would never consider taking my vehicles anywhere but to Bob Thomas. Last summer my truck broke down while camping. My grandson came and towed the truck to Bob Thomas. By the next day it was fixed and my grandson brought it back to me.From the time you walk in the door and are greeted by Bob, Tom, Loren and Brian you know you are in good hands. The technicians do a top notch job and stand behind their work. They are all a great bunch of guys.

This is really long, so to sum it all up this mechanic put a faulty pump in my car and then told me it was road safe when it wasnt.If anyone wants to know the story I first went to this mechanic when my car suddenly got a BAD power steering fluid leak. They replaced my pump and were really nice. But with in the next day the car started to make a weird sound. So I took it back as soon as my work schedule had cleared up a bit (2 weeks after), and told them about the problem. They said it sounds like air in the hose and it should work its way out. I told them I had a road trip planned in 2 weeks, and they told me if it was still making the noise in a week to bring it back.A week later when I went in for the third time, one of the employees kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain that my car started dripping power steering fluid again. I took it back and they told me they would replace it under warranty. I asked while they were at it if they could look into a metal on metal sound my car was making and do a safety inspection. They told me my car was all good, my fluids looked clean and everything.Now here we are. A week later. First day of the road trip. Im stuck in brookings after the metal on metal sound I told them about turned out to be an issue with my transmission and now my check engine light is on.Honestly the employees are nice enough but the service just didnt make up for it. I am grateful they fixed my car the second time on such short notice, but for obvious reasons I cant give them a 5 star rating.

I set up an appointment with Brian Thomas (service writer, and I’m assuming a relative of the owner) to look at and purchase a pop up trailer being sold there. We agreed on a price, I asked home when I could some see it, he said 6:00, and give me the address to bob Thomas automotive. I show up at 5:20 because we drove from out of the county, the office door is already locked. Says it closes at 5:30. So I sent Brian a message letting him know I was here early and what kind of car I was in. He messages me back about 20 mins laters saying “sorry I already sold it” are you kidding me!!! Why would you sell it when we agreed on a time to meet and a price? Why would you tell me to come at 6 then go sell it to someone else???? If you decided to sell it to someone else why would you not even at least let me know before I drive from over an hour away?!? Extremely rude and inconsiderate of other people’s time and money. He is trying to say this has nothing to do with bob Thomas automotive, then why tell me to meet you there, have it stored there, etc. extremely annoyed, left work early to meet him at his convienence and he flakes on me. If he needed to sell it sooner I would have came earlier but he told me 6:00

They are a bit on the expensive side, but do good work. In my experience I would rather go there one time and pay more, than go somewhere cheap and have to keep going back to get it right. This is where our company would take our fleet vehicles.

Had work done on my front end, picked up the truck and the steering wheel was off, which it wasnt when I dropped it off they then proceeded to tell me that they have to farm it out and split the bill on something that was not that way when I dropped it off.So is in response to Bob, I brought my truck in, with the front end noise being one of the issues and for the record the noise is still there. The problem is not with the work the problem is with the instant blame game. I told the gentleman at the counter that, I know that shouldnt affected the steering wheel but it did which gave me concerned, I just had my truck in the alignment center the Sunday before which is the reason why I came to you so I know my steering wheel was straight and the alignment was not the issue.Going back to the issue I have not with the work or the price of the work, my issue is when I said I had a problem it was an instant blame game not we need to take care of this and make sure everything is OK
