This was the only visit at this establishment, and I can only speak on that experience. I had a medium Swiss and Mushroom Angus Beef Burger. It was cooked to my request and was quite satisfying. It came with Coleslaw and a pickle spear. I could have ordered the deluxe platter which came with fries or choices offered but I just needed the protein. My friend ordered the Ham Steak platter with Baked potato, creamed spinach and I think a side of what looked like a pineapple chutney sauce for the Ham. He also had no complaints and found it to be a very good experience! Based upon my experience everyone was polite and very helpful. Again this was my first visit. Based on that I would recommend it. Honestly, this rating is mostly because the waitress was really sweet. Their corned beef hash is from a can so I skipped on that. The homefries were dry & underseasoned. But the place is very clean & still adheres to COVID guidelines (dividers between booths, frequent cleaning, masks worn by staff & encouraged for customers).
Breakfast is very good, but any time I’ve gotten lunch or dinner it just wasn’t that good. Would 100% suggest getting breakfast when you come here.
You should treat people equally. I saw you were talking very rude and discriminating a lady .I think she was a delivery person .She left quietly from there....It was soo sad..

We love going to diners and this one deserves 5 stars. The menu has a lot of the common faves and flexible enough to make substitutions to your order with no hassle (might be an additional charge). The waitress was very friendly and knew many of the patrons (this must be the town spot). There was no wait for a table and service was prompt. The prices were very reasonable, the food was delicious and the portions were good sizes. It is off a major roadway and has a decent sized parking lot. We would come here again.

Ordered a turkey club with fries and a grilled cheese. To go, The club was a mess the bread wasn’t even toasted. The fries were so soggy it’s like they were microwaved. Absolutely terrible definitely not ordering from them again.

Who knew to put advertisements on the coffee cups 🤯As for the negative reviews regarding the hosts and owners, I didn’t get to experience that. If it is true, there’s nothing to do. People sometimes can’t get out of their own way.
This was the first time I was not totally pleased with what i ordered.the hot wings had only franks red hot on them they were average .I orderer the meatloaf for my main course but brown gravy had way too much salt in it.I will go back but i wont order them again.

I went back third time to give benefit of the doubt the waitress took at least 15 minutes to acknowledge us and the food was soggy.That will be last time I ever go back there again. Its a shame. Went for breakfast with my family, we sat in a booth the atmosphere was nice, coffee was really good, no complaints from anyone except me. My omelette was dried out, over cooked, which seems common in most diners. Service was adequate. I would eat there again and see if I can get the omelette cooked medium.
Metropolis is my favorite place for breakfast for my wife and I. The staff is great! Good food, good portions, great diner! What else can you ask for!

The metropolis diner was ok. If youre looking for a diner at the last minute and youre driving by, go right ahead and youll probably be happy with your experience. This was exactly our experience and it was fine, but if I were planning to go to a diner ahead of time, I would say go somewhere else. This was the only diner that weve been to where they didnt have gluten free bread. I know, I know, that is kind of a tall order and thats fine. So we ordered an omlette instead. The omlette was good but the potatoes it came with werent fully cooked. We also had challah french toast, which tasted good but doesnt come with anything else. If you want bacon, you need to add the bacon for a fee. I know most places have an extra fee for the bacon, but, they should make it part of a meal. It comes with, and if you dont want it, dont eat it.That last thing was more of a personal preference compared to what Im used to though and Im sure there are people that dont like bacon that would prefer not to pay for it, so thats fine. Otherwise, like I mentioned, it was a good diner. Not great, but it fulfills the stereotype and expectation that you have when you walk in the door. Thats what really counts in the end. Give us a try if youre driving by should be their slogan.

Service was sub par. Home Fies were bland no onions so they really werent home fries. Eggs were over cooked and. It took forever for service and we never were asked if we wanted refills on coffee or asked how were things. Granted it was fathers day and very busy but it wasnt a great experience.

Im forced to give it a star. Its was horrible. After being served and while eating we were asked twice if we were finished.. I guess the diner was getting busy. I asked for a dessert menu and the waiter said now you want dessert after all this time and uts getting busy ... we hadnt even been asked by the waitress if we wanted anything else or even given a check. When I soule to theowner and made the complaint I was told the waiter probably had a bad day.. it was Sunday morning! He called the waiter over and said to apologize to me and my party.. and them joked about it and laughed at us. Rude obnoxious and obviously horrible customer service. They dont care about you just taking your money and getting you out the door. Well never go again and will never recommend it... Horrible ownership!!!!!!!
It was totally empty. The food was ok but never get their potato salad it was horrible. Also my husband didnt like coleslaw so we asked if they can switch it for potato salad instead of a little cup they brought this plate with 2 huge scoops of potato salad thats not what we wanted & they charged us $3.50 for it so I was disappointed

A quiet little unassuming diner situated right along route 112 in Medford, always does an excellent service to their customers. Prices are decent with big portions. Wait staff are polite and friendly. Service is swift and accurate. My recommendation here is the eggs nova if you like smoked salmon!
Just like any other decent diner on Long Island. Metallic atmosphere with quality food to satisfy your hunger. The employees are attentive as well as friendly. You are usually in and out of this restaurant between 30 minutes to an hour. The service is relatively prompt.

Came here at around 11 on a busy Sunday morning. Great choice of brunch specials and overall menu. Service was quick. I was pleased to see they also serve mimosas. I had an orange pineapple. Yum!
