Here is a letter I wrote to them two weeks ago (still have yet to receive a reply):Good afternoon,I am writing to notify you of my dissatisfaction with both your product and your service. I am a local customer - I live just three blocks away - and consider myself an avid supporter of local independent businesses, so I have been happy to go to you for most of my flower needs for the past year that I have lived in East Cambridge. And I had been happy with your flowers thus far, as had my wife who is of course the recipient. The issues with my Valentines Day order therefore came as both a surprise and a disappointment.First of all, the flowers arrived a day early. Why that happened I have no idea - no warning was provided beforehand, and no good explanation was provided afterwards. The only brief explanation I was given upon calling you was that maybe the early delivery was due to the incoming storm. Even if that was the case, it is a poor excuse since the storm was not to arrive until late at night on Valentines Day. Regardless of the reason, it was only by total luck that someone happened to be home at that time, and it wasnt even me - just a friend who happened to be in town. The whole point of ordering the flowers from you and paying the delivery fee - rather than just walking down the street to pick them up at no additional cost - was to have them delivered on Valentines Day. That this did not happen - without even a warning or decent explanation of the change - is inexcusable.Second, the flowers that arrived were not even in good condition. I would have thought that, having arrived a day before the scheduled delivery date, they would perhaps be even fresher, but instead many of them were already turning brown, particularly the lilies. Please see the attached photos which were taken shortly after delivery (as you can tell by the timestamp, in the properties of each photo). Many rose petals were already falling off as well, and the chrysanthemums did not look particularly healthy either. Their quality was certainly unsuited to the $75 price tag.Lastly, I had called you to address these issues over the phone as early as possible, and I was promised a return call which never came. I understand that you must have been extremely busy with all the Valentines orders, but given my dissatisfaction I only became further dismayed at never hearing back from you.I am not one to regularly write to businesses like this, but I would truly like to continue my business with such a local, family-owned/operated as yourself, so I am hoping that there is a satisfactory response to these issues (and I have kept my criticisms off any review sites in the hopes of such a response directly from you) and that I may then continue to trust Blossom Floral Design for my flower needs.
SIMPLY put, place an order for $70 flowers on line and what was delivered was NOT even close. The vase was the same but the flowers and the colors were far from what I choose. I complained and they went back and exchanged it for what they said was the same but it was so much smaller and poorly made that the receiver asked to keep the first one instead as it was pretty but NOT at all what I ordered. The owner was loud and offensive, never again
Absolutely the freshest most perfect flowers I have ever seen delivered
Best shop in town ;).
