We stopped here just because of the sign for it on the highway. And man we are so glad we did. We believe it was built from a train car. The place was packed and steady had people coming in. 2 waitress and a few BOH and they kept up with everything very well. The food was GREAT and looked beautiful. This place is a bit far from where we are staying but we will be trying to come back

This place is a gem!! Staying in CT for a few days and googled Diners. BAM!! Thank god we found this place. The food was amazing!! Best breakfast I’ve had out in a long time. The staff was so nice and made us feel like regulars. The long time customers were so nice also. I will never forget this place. Can’t wait to go back.

Everyone on staff was wonderful to talk to and the interesting and tasty menu items as well as the local sodas made for a lunch that my friends of mine and I have been talking about for days.
They close 2:00 p.m. on Sundays we got there at 1:45 p.m. and they kept the place open for us, there were 6 of us everyone was very friendly and the food was excellent.

For the past few years Olympos, has been my favorite diner in Meriden! Not only is the staff kind & welcoming. The food is always amazing. If youre looking for a great spot to grab some coffee, & delicious food Olympos Diner is the place to go.

Great experience! I ordered a simple breakfast. Two eggs, toast and home fries. I got exactly what I wanted in a delicious breakfast to go. The home fries hit the spot and were excellent. Definitely recommend stopping in.
Not a lot of seating, but, to my surprise, there were plenty of seats available on a Sunday morning when I arrived. Food is typical diner fare. I ordered the 222 (two eggs, two strips of bacon, two sausages and two pancakes or French toast) priced at 9.25. The “two” sausages turned out to be a single sausage cut in half, and all of the food was served at a tepid temperature. Homemade corned beef hash was on the menu and I wish I tried that instead. The wait staff was really attentive and friendly.
Very cozy little diner! You get a smile and a welcome from the staff when you walk through the door. Through my experience of going earlier in the morning, you can usually just seat yourself and the staff will swing around to take your order (if they get busier, they will probably direct you to different tables depending on your party size). The staff is friendly, and always accommodating.The food is delicious and portion sizing is great. Pricing is fair, in my opinion. I paid $9.95 for two pumpkin pancakes with a side of bacon, but it was VERY filling so it was worth it. They do have some other affordable meal deals, especially at breakfast; you can get a nice plate of homefries, 2 eggs, and 2 slices of toast for $4.50.Other notes: they have good parking, clean bathrooms, and wifi is available (password is on the menu board).

Im not sure if they are still open, but the last time I was there my breakfast meal was very tasty and quite economical.

Classic diner! The Olympos has a charming throwback feel to it. Numerous cozy booths plus a counter. Very friendly wait staff - they will make you feel like family! Tasty food affordably priced. A real gem!
Me and my buddy just had a nice breakfast here. Its so cheap and you get so much. And the food is excellent. They make homemade milkshakes and soups Among other things. I havent tried any of that out yet this is my breakfast spot, but Ive seen the other food people were ordering and It look delicious!

Whenever I travel, I like to find a nice local diner with good food and decent prices. Ive eaten here for the past four days. First day, ordered simple $5 (including tax) breakfast special. Grille was too hot, so scrambled eggs werent quite done. Home fries were good, though. Second day brought in coworkers and had fish and chips for lunch. Cost about $12 with coffee. I dont know how they make their fish but they looked remarkably like store bought frozen fish triangles. Not impressed, but it was edible. Third day had California omelette and rye toast. About $10 or so after tax. Not bad at all but home fries were super hot and not cooked in the middle. Today, my last day in town, ordered Polish Benedict. I requested the yolks be cooked until a little hard. Didnt happen. Just egg all over plate, overpowered everything. $10 or so.Regardless, the service is astounding. The wait staff is very considerate and on top of things. They will suggest things from the menu if you feel daring, and also make adjustments to things the best they can. The cook might ignore them, but its not their fault.Highly recommend, would have given 5 stars if the food was consistent but its still great food at a great price.

Loved it. Got a omelette and a waffle. The omelette was delicious with generous amounts of ham and cheese. It came with a side of house potatoes that was arguably the best part. The waffle was cooked to perfection, but wasnt really anything out of the ordinary.The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. And the prices cant be beat for the amount of food you get.Highly recommended

Delicious. Went for breakfast. Unfortunately it is a very tiny restaurant, if you have a large party (>5), it might be difficult to sit together. Staff is very nice. Very reasonably priced. Definitely would go back.

Top-notch diner. It is exactly what it presents itself to be: A dinner, offering good, basic foods. Homemade soups daily except Sunday. Great omelets, eggs and hash, home fries. This is not fancy dining, but it is a very good, friendly diner with traditional chow. I like dinners. I like Olympos. Try it if you havent already. I doubt you will be disappointed, particularly if you like dinners as I do.
Delicious food made fresh from scratch. Fantastic friendly & knowledgeable service. Great casual atmosphere. An unexpected lucky find Ill be saving to go back to (on purpose next time). A little foodie oasis to remember.

Ate here every morning during our stay in Meriden. Convenient location to where we were staying. Our breakfast was excellent, thank you to the chefs!The girls that waited on us made our day!! They were funny and cheerful, great attitudes...started your day off right! We saw several of the same customers every day and it just gave you a down home feeling being in this place. Would recommend Olympos Diner to everyone. We will be back the next time we are in town!!
I have to say what a dinner. It is in the top 3 of my life. This small dinner puts out a great breakfast. I was going to give 4 stars for my food coming out a little slow, but WOW is all I can say. The corned beef hash was crispy and full of flavor and the ham steak was grill top fired and a REAL ham steak! This was why it was a little slow. The grill man serves it up proper. Great food! This will be my breakfast place the next 5 years while my daughter attends Quinnipiac!

Wasnt impressed at all. They dont serve Coke or Pepsi. Its a local brand of soda. The corn beef hash was awful. The home fries arent supposed to be large chunks of potatoes. They should be diced. Waitress was very nice though.

Great food and service. I had an egg sandwich on a hard roll and it was amazing. They only carry a bottled local soda, no fountain pop.It is very small though! Be prepared to be a little smooshed!
