Stay away from this one if you can get your rental somewhere else. The employees want to get paid but dont want to put in any effort. They will not track the rentals or even make sure they have what you are supposed to be getting. They had weeks to ensure my truck would be there and still failed. After a little digging they found that my truck was rented for A SINGLE DAY a week earlier and never returned, not one phone call was made to that person. until I was there to pick it up. Nobody even bothered to give me a heads up the day before that the specific truck I ordered was not currently available.They offer me a $50 discount for my trouble. BUT I do have to pay for the additional 40 miles of travel I am now going to travel and the gas. So in reality I am $5-$7 ahead and over an hour of wasted time. Not to mention the people sitting at my old house waiting for me to show up with the truck. This $50 credit is a corporate issue, and I will address it with them.The place that i was sent to get the truck will get a 5 star review and highlights the disparities between the 2 places. So bottom line, get your uhaul somewhere else, NOT HERE.
The manager so unhelpful when you show them trying to show them if somethings wrong with their trailer they do not want to hear it thats why I call my cousin that works at of a Connecticut motor vehicles and having their stuff looked at
Stopped by to get propane filled during business hours. Doors were locked. Associate came to foor during operating hours and said he couldnt help me bc they were shutting down the system. Still open. Cant help. Sucks.

DO NOT GO HERE! they scam you! I moved from Wallingford to another place 3 miles away. Then it’s approx 5 miles to get from our place to this place. They charged me for almost 50 miles!!!! Explain how I went 50 miles from one spot in Wallingford to another spot in Wallingford.
We wound up getting a hitch put on here after a giant screw up by another store. This place went above and beyond to make up for the other stores deficiencies and to make sure our needs were met.Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, truly a great experience.
Quick, fast and efficient team had me in and out in a matter of minutes. Friendly and effectively used updated technology to check me out in no time when dropping off the truck. This is a small lot, you need to be dropped/picked up; dont expect any type of parking. Mobile ordering process was cumbersome but not too bad. Overall great experience.
Nice. The girl who was working there as I showed up 15 minutes BEFORE they opened (Yes, she was running around moving trucks, checking inventory, double-checking hook-ups) knew exactly what I was there for. What a feeling to think that a place like U haul would have employees who are aware of upcoming reservations.She was the best.
My experience with U-Haul of Meriden CT was very pleasant... the wait was somewhat long,however,the young man who waited on me(Jason) was extremely helpful and courteous! That was in 2015... I hope he is still there!

Called here twice on 07/26/19 as soon as the answer they put you on hold.I held the first time for 30 minutes no one came back to the line. The 2nd time the person picked up and hung up...
I went here to get a tow hitch installed on my new car. They told me it would take about 2 hours, it took 5 1/2. I thought U-Haul was a good option, because they specialize in tow hitches, but they are really just a half rate operation. They dont even have a lift. After I had waited around for over 5 1/2 hours, they go to give me back my car and as they back it off the ramps there is a horrible screeching sound. They crushed a solid metal stool underneath my brand new car. There didnt seem to be any damaged, although I couldnt help but cringe, especially when they had to drive the car back up the ramp and make more screeching to remove the tangle hunk of bent metal. So I drive away and I hear a rattling. My muffler was lose. I drive back. They fix it. 6 1/2 hours later Im on my way home.About 1 year later I track a rattling sound to find out that my tow hitch is falling off on one side. The nuts have come lose. They might fix it, but they seemed hung up on me not paying for the $5 warranty. Honestly I will pay some other place just to not have to deal with them and their half rate facility again. Their customer service was rude to me before, during, and after the install. YOU CANT DO WORSE THAN THIS PLACE!

I returned my truck to this location more than 24 hours ago. The manager is MIA and no one has checked the truck in yet. I have been trying to get this resolved all day.
The man at the desk Darnell was very nonchalant I asked him questions he ignored me I stated there would be a problem with the mileage ahead of time that I could already see that because we had to drive 10 miles out of our way just to pick up the truck and we only had 30 miles to drive that we were allowed to drive he posted the wrong mileage on my contract making it seem as though I drove 225 miles I was then charged an extra $65 on top of the $104 that I was already charged for the rental of the truck for the day I never received my money back and I never received a call back from U-Haul he also gave me a truck with no gas in it when I arrived at my drop off point I was yelled and screamed at by the customer service associates at the Hartford location

Both manager dominaa and employee colon provided me with above and beyond service---courtesy and attension to detail go a long way in my book---been going there for years and will continue to do so because of these employees---thanks again guys

Slow, rude. I went there for propane, guy didnt know how to fill my RV tank, didnt use the bleeder valve, I had to do it.He told me I had to purge my tank before he could fill it, so thats when I showed him the bleeder valve and released the air in the tank, so he could put their over priced $3.79 propane in my tank.

The truck was in bad shape mechanically. Bad brakes. bad steering. bad transmission.Almost in an accident because steering was so bad. When he rang me out they were going to charge me another day. Dont trust this one at all. Customers beware of this location!!
