I absolutely love how the staff is so welcoming when you walk through the front door. They are also extremely attentive and helpful. I buy a lot of plant-based items here, as well as, produce and kombucha. Some of the stuff maybe priced high (as several con reviews suggest); however, they do offer incredible deals on specific items that you can’t find other places. I always feel like I hit the jackpot when purchasing kombucha here and they offer rare items you can’t find at other places. It’s definitely an amazing place. I will be back soon.
We love you guys so much! However, you need to pay your employees more! We have been members for 18 years. Increase our membership fee if you need to. Tyler and Dillon are wonderful and if it want for them we would not get our amazing vegan dishes!!! Pay them more. ❤️
I have been searching for a certain brand of wine. I noticed this location didn’t carry the flavor I wanted. Toni special ordered me 3 bottles of the wine I have been looking for. I’m so forever grateful this place has amazing service! Thank you Toni! Highly recommended!!!
Wanted to love this place. Unfortunately their back refrigerated section that holds hummus and breads and tortillas smells horribly of mold. I thought it may have been a one off issue the first time I went. I went back two months later and the issue was even worse. Absolutely every single item in that particular refrigerated section smells like they are covered in mold spores. I really really hope they finally throw out everything in that refrigerator, maybe even the fridge itself. The store needs some very serious mold mitigation. Only leaving this negative review to raise the issue as I really want to love this place. Hope it gets resolved.
Great stock selection, decent prices and extremely courteous staff. I had a good time shopping at this location.
I love the Co-op. Its a neat place that serves to promote the local community. Great selection of plant-based foods and environmentally friendly products. Always fun to stop by and see what they have and interact with their friendly staff. Theres also a second location in downtown Boise.
The best selection of organic produce and foods in the valley. Many local sourced.
Great selection of locally sourced products. Wide variety of healthy whole food products. A plethora of options for plant based diets. Locally sourced meat and dairy available. A large selection of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Clean.
I love the co-op. Before Covid they always had imported cheese and meat in abundance. Unfortunately that has been reduced dramatically. However they still carry a wide variety of healthy organic foods. Its also where I go for raw milk to make my homemade cheese if the local farmer runs out. Still getting from an Idaho farmer here. Also this is a great place to grab a lunch from thier hot bar.
Who would’ve thought that a hipster place known in the community for offering super healthy, organic & local products would be the best place to buy ALCOHOL (specifically beer)? For the handful of years I’ve been an Idahoan, this has been (and will be) the #1 “beer run” location (Meridian location over the downtown Boise one).Beer selection here is FANTASTIC. The “over the counter”, popular OG beers are still here (from the local breweries and from around the country), but the main attraction are all the specialty beers that you won’t find in Walmart, Winco, Albertsons, Fred Meyer. The enormous Albertsons “World Market” that’s close by might have a bigger selection (in terms of floor space in the store), but you won’t find a lot of the beers at this Co-Op over there. The #1 perk of buying beer here (and the primary factor of the 5 star review), is that you can buy beer BY THE CAN. No need to waste money on the full 6 pack when you don’t know if you’re going to even like the beer or not. The pricing of beer, by the can, is extremely competitive, and is only $1-3 more than buying the full 6 pack (or 4 pints). This has encouraged me to try so many new beers that I’d never try before. This “feature” is killer, and easily differentiates this place from the rest of the stores. As for the food, I’m sure it’s extremely healthy, ethically raised, etc, but the price is just too high for me (and I’m sure for a lot of others). If money isn’t an issue, I’d love to be able to buy all my produce here, but that’s not reality (at least for me). Some of my favorite items here are the chili at the soup bar, the “Acme” branded rosemary bread (UNREAL), Wildflower bakery scones, and the amazing selection of cheeses (smoked gouda baby). Favorite non-food item (and a great gift) is the Idaho shaped bamboo cutting board that’s sold here (I don’t actually use for cutting stuff, just decoration). This Meridian location is superior to the Boise location. This seems newer, bigger, more interior lighting, layout isn’t crammed, and the EASY parking (parking at the Boise location just isn’t worth the hassle). Only perk at the Boise location is the better / bigger olive bar.Friendly people working at this location. I’m not a member, and don’t plan on spending money to be one, so as long as they don’t require you to be a member, I’ll be coming back.If you’re looking for LOCAL IPAs (hazy, double, etc), “Mother Earth Brewing” from Nampa cannot be beat. I tried most of the other local, Idaho breweries, and IMO they don’t even come close. My all time favorite IPA has to go to “Revision Brewing”. 4 Pints for around $16.50 (used to be $12.50!) is pricey, but they hit it out of the park in terms of high octane alcohol %, low IBUs, and that distinct “dank” smell and flavor I crave.P.S. Shout out to this place for sending out free $10 off for $25+ order vouchers years ago when I lived in an apartment nearby. This was the only reason I started coming here (since you could even use that on beer lol)
Great place to go. But have to watch dates. I have a rough time getting good fruit there. Could just be how I like my fruit. I still shop often. Live the free wine tastings.
This co-op is a great place. It has lots of stuff, including a bakery and even has live entertainment on some weekends. Check ahead of time, you dont want to go to see that if theyre not playing.
Very nice people! Called to find if they had an item in the bakery and they were very quick and friendly about looking for it and confirming they had it.
All the years I lived in Boise I heard how great the Co-Op was but never went inside. I probably wouldnt have appreciated it before as much as I do now.Everything is made in house, local or organically sourced. I spent a lot more time talking, tasting wines and looking than expected. And I spent a lot more than expected but it was worth the experience.
Going there just makes you feel like youre getting more wholesome groceries and items versus Fred Meyer or Albertsons or some local supermarkets.
I love how organized this place is! Their coffee is beyond amazing and I am absolutely in love with their pesto and dried tomato pasta!
Friendly folks, great grocery selection, unique and tasty offerings in the deli case. My wife and I enjoy a meal together here weekly.
Just had a fantastic vegan lunch with my husband. Great, friendly employees were so sweet. Black bean burger was so good with cilantro veganaise, butternut squash soup, peanut butter bar. Also got the mushroom bahn mi and edemame salad. Under appreciated vegan place to grab a meal!
This place is great.. which is saying something for me. I have never been into hippy places like this but they have everything! Big fan now..
We found what we came for. Bulk herbs and spices. The cashier was very nice. She smiled, chatted and never bent head to avoid talking.
Love this place. I can find so much gluten-free and dairy-free stuff I make the trip all the way from Caldwell just to come out here and go shopping so that way I know Im getting stuff thats safe for me to eat.
I hope there open Deli bar comes back soon. Both locations are nice however, the one in the North End has greater variety a product ...at least it seems that way
I love this location in Meridian! Im glad we have an option on this end of town. Its always a treat to shop. There are so many options and yummy new things to try each time I go. I even love the smell!
Surprisingly large selection of high-quality foods, wines, and sundry wellness products. The deli, cheese and wine sections stand out and real pizza oven to boot! ALWAYS friendly ALWAYS helpful. The only thing keeping this from five stars is I am frugal and will get staples elsewhere, but for the most part, a great way to go! (Consider this a four and a half star review. )
Great store! Only negative is the location, a strip mall. Besides that I am totally impressed.
They have a great selection of healthy products and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Super friendly. Fresh foods. Similar to Whole Foods but smaller and locally owned and still great selection. Support small local businesses!
I had a green smoothie it was delicious. I bought some Togo items. Overpriced but not many places have Togo items boxed up that are plant based. So I guess thats what Im paying for.
Man- best place to get local goods and great natural options. They carry my favorite kombucha and also their local ground coffees are adorable and so tasty.
Stopped there on my road trip and this is hands down one of my all time favorite grocery stores! Im glad to see that there are stores that carry an amazing selection of healthy options! Excellent service and all the employees I met were super friendly and helpful! I ended up spending a good amount of money and it was worth every cent! I successfully indulged in a food-coma and had an amazing burrito, salad and sandwich and also got other items that are hard to find at regular grocery stores! I wish I had a store like that close to where I live...
Bought a turkey wrap for lunch. Great. Bought other items as well. What I like about Boise CO-OP is well over half the produce is locally grown. Support your local producers!
I love finding stores where I can shop without a face covering/mask. Thankfully, this is an excellent alternative to Trader Joes. Great selection of produce, cheese, gluten free, organic items. Very clean store and customer service is very good!!
Excellent food, service, and advice. No problem with parking.
It was good the wine guy was super helpful, dont know his name but he had a short beard salt and pepper hair, awesome dude you need wine go to that guy
Love that you can create your own 6 packs of beer 🍻
Very beautiful store with a great selection of items you need for a healthy conscious lifestyle. We were visiting and impressed with the amount of natural, local, organic, Keto, dietary supplements, and so much more!We went closer to close so we didn’t get the all the prepared foods (salads, in house made dinners etc.) we were expecting. We did get a MASSIVE 32 oz MCT Oil at a great price (around $20) and had a great conversation with the cashier!
Always fun. Very helpful staff.
This is one of the best grocers in the Boise area, my wife and I go here as much as we can in order to buy locally; especially during the winter months. We discovered this store while looking for locally grown honey to help with allergies; which is found here at this Co-Op. They also have one of the largest, most geographically thorough wine selection I have ever seen; #FlawlessVictory.
There is lots of cool and unique items to be found at this wonderful store!
Love the local fresh grocery options. Kombucha on tap too!!!!
Love this place! The staff is super helpful, and it’s so nice having a Co-Op in Meridian.
My wife and I love shopping here! Everyone is super friendly and we love looking through the local options.
Similar to whole foods, appreciate the food quality and staff are great!
Much easier to get to and use than the Boise store for me. Very happy it is here. There are a lot of interesting items you dont find at other local markets. That said....Has a fair amount of the things my family is looking for but not as much as I would like.
Love this place. Employees are friendly and helpful.
I deliver raw dairy milk here....the people who work here are very friendly and helpful.
Local people, great service, excellent food.
Become a member and one day a month you get 10% off your purchase, one day a month they 15% off local items, plus you can discounts at other stores around town, ask them for the list, I cant recall them all. Natural grocery store, similar to a whole foods, but a local co op. They have great prices on deli meat. Produce and other items more on the expensive side. Their macaroni salads are great.
Love this place, friendly service, good selection of goods, and the cashier Jennifer was very kind to my daughter. She gave her a sticker. 🙂 They have the best Sirloin steaks too.
They have organic food ! Like a Wholefoods store but better.
So happy the CO-OP is in Meridian now. I have stopped in dozens and dozens of times since they opened. Very happy with the courteous staff and well curated vendors and products. The wine selection rivals anything in the area and the quality of meat and cheese is better than any chain grocery stores. I have been a member of the NE location for 20 years but rarely make into that part of Boise anymore.During the pandemic we have been making truly concerted effort to spend our money locally and there is no better place. That said, I REALLY wish the CO-OP would enforce a mask policy. This requires leadership. When I was in there Sunday, there was a group of young women not wearing masks who were actually trying on clothing and hats. This makes zero sense. It is member owned, I am sure members overwhelmingly would support a mask policy inside the stores. This is a serious no-brainer. A community owned business should NOT be adding to the pandemic stress by not doing what is socially responsible... PERIOD.
Our “hometown store!”Whether one is a co-op member or not (but why wouldn’t you be?), you can enjoy a friendly, helpful, well-stocked, community- minded market.
Very nice selection of vitamins, essential oils, personal products, food, you name it.
A wide selection of products, great shopping environment and support for local farmers. Win-win-win
Our favorite store. Yummy organic non gmo foods, fresh squeezed juices, hot food bar, variety of fruits and vegetables as well as meats and fish, cheese. I hope though you can have fresh strawberries from Prolife Richardson Farm. They have yummy organic strawberries. I haven’t seen or tried any better strawberries then what they have and hope this Co Op can stock up on them too for us not to shop all at once spot. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
These guys sell raw milk in multiple forms as well as all of my supplements that I need. They also accommodate my medical need to be mask free. Im leaving natural grocers for this co - op.
High prices on most items but locally sourced and healthy options are abundant.
The people in the Boise Co-op are all so helpful! The cashier Connor was delightful! Ill be back ❤
Great meat, wine and produce. I actually found chestnut flour (for the first time in a decade). It a regualer shopping stop for us
I’ll be canceling my membership tomorrow for a refund. Trader Joe’s is 2 minutes away it’s less expensive and better quality. This store has changed and not in a good way. Customer and employees should be wearing masks. I didn’t know it was optional to wear a mask at Co-op.
Wonderful local store! Went there for a specific, somewhat obscure item, and they had it!
One of the valleys best organic markets!
Love the variety and attention to local and organic. Love walking in and grabbing ingredients for an elevated picnic or romantic dinner at home.
We enjoy shopping at this location, but have been so disappointed recently by the number of customers that are shopping without masks. We hope that store management will consider “encouraging “ customers to usethe free masks available at the entrance. This growing number of maskless patrons is a disturbing trend. We may have to curtail our shopping at the Co-op if things don’t improve.
Great food, great selection of health and beauty and always great customer service. Open till 9-10pm? Love it. Thank you🙌🏻
Super nice site! Clean, very well rounded and adapted for four covid!
Great! The lady in the supplement department is always so helpful and friendly. I always go to her when I need help choosing the right supplements. I appreciate it!!!
Clean. Nice lay out. Wonderful selection. Very friendly staff. Love this store.
Store is always clean and staff is amazing 👏
Clean store, great selection of food and local products. The staff are always friendly and helpful and it’s close to home.
Lots of great stores and ample parking.
Love this store, you can find absolutely everything you need.
They have everything food wise you could want.
Clean, friendly an a great selection. Much friendlier than the North End store.
Lots of items that are healthy. Represents smaller producers from the local area. Great selection of beer and wine.
Not just for groceries! They make some of the best burritos and sandwiches in Boise. I know that sounds like a huge exaggeration, but I eat a lot of sandwiches and burritos. These are definitely up there. It all comes from starting with the best ingredients. Thanks Boise co-op!
The Co-op is the place to go to get 80%+ of the stuff you need 20% of the time. They have most everything else you need too but when you need something you dont find elsewhere they will probably have it. Its a great alterative to Whole Paycheck and the Marketplace.
Thank you for creating such a lively and welcoming place to shop.
Customer service and food are great!!!! I’m happy with his location!!!
I shop here at least monthly, would like to go more. Their selection of fruit, veggies and meat are all high quality and as local as possible. A few things youll find elsewhere are a little more pricey here, but overall you cannot find another store like this in Boise or Meridian.
Fun place to browse. Unique items. Kind of spendy.
Great selection of local meats and raw milk!
The gentleman in the wine section really knew his stuff. Helped my wife out who has allergies and found her something she can drink! Great service.
Great and helpful staff. A lot of really good variety. A lot of natural and organic. They make the best hand pies in the valley
Their products are a little pricey, however it is totally worth it because they have GREAT customer service. Every employee in there are the nicest and most helpful of any other store that I have been in!
Great produce selection! Eco friendly baby toys and diapers.
I love the local produce and organic products. Such a great variety. Great grass fed..grass finished beef available.
Awesome store to shop if your vegan or wanting to try it, we go once a week to get our food and and the deli has rad food
Clean well spaced and always have everything we need.
