Weve had some small repairs to our garage door done with Action Garage a few times and have always been happy.Wed had two large home repairs done in the last few years that did NOT go well (not with Action Garage Door but with other companies) so when it came time to fully replace our garage door we were nervous doing another big project. The entire Action Garage staff was polite, professional, and most importantly to me communicated with me about timing and stuck with what they said! The entire process was easy, handled professionally, and at a great price.I highly recommend Action Garage Door if you need repairs or a full replacement. We purchased our house in May 2021, Action came out and installed our garage doors and openers. Did an excellent job! Our garage door needed some attention after a few incidents over the past few years (young drivers in the house). I called Action and they had someone out that day to give a bid and their recommendations. We ended up doing a complete replacement. He fixed it despite its terrible condition in a fast but methodical manner. He saved us SO much money and never tried to take advantage by up-selling us anything. How rare is that? Waited over 1 month for our new garage door install. Today was the day. No showed on me even after I talked to my salesman twice during the day. I wasted a whole work day. Unacceptable.

We recently purchased a home that has 3 garage doors on the main home and 4 RV garage doors on the shop plus an additional standard door on the back. The original owners spent a fortune on garage doors through Action Garage doors. The home is currently 1.5 years old. After moving in and getting settled I realized the gaps at the bottom of the garage doors were really large. Large enough that a mouse or frog can come right in without any issues. After further looking at the doors, I realized every single door was installed poorly, there are gaps in the sides, the bow out, the trim is cut way too short etc.I called Action and asked if they would come take a look since it was clearly a poor install and should be corrected. They were quick to let me know the warranty is only 1 year, and that anything they would do would have a fee. I was a bit shocked, but asked they come look and give us a quote. (At this point I also call The Garage Door store, who had just installed 3 custom doors in our prior home last year) I thought if I am going to pay anyone to fix the work it wouldn’t be the guys that installed it incorrectly but I would still have them come take a look and see what they say.My garage door guy came out on a Thursday a couple weeks ago and said all the springs need tightened, all the seals need Re-done, and we agreed that the install was very poorly done.Action came out Friday. Their guy showed up in a truck that was leaking oil, and parked in our driveway of our me home, kicking a piece of cardboard underneath to hopefully catch any oil spills. Then started to take a look, again also saying it was very poorly installed and should not be like this but also not willing to negotiate on the cost for their terrible work.After walking out of the shop and over to the garage to look at more of the terrible work, my husband realized his cardboard he had under the truck wasn’t catching the oil leaking and got him a new piece. So now I have garage doors that suck, and oil spills in my driveway. We called to talk to a a manger thinking no way anyone would want a review like this. 2 weeks later, not a single call back. In my opinion if they can’t fix their terrible install 6 months out of “warranty” and they can’t afford to maintain their vehicles, they clearly don’t have their priorities in line.I recommend you call The Garage Door store instead. They are incredible and handle things in a much more professional manner, the installs are done correctly and you won’t end up with mice or frogs in your garage or shop!

We accidentally shut that red pull cord in a trailer door and pulled the garage door down on top of the trailer. Ended up with a crack in the bottom panel and a snapped cable on one side. Action got us scheduled as quickly as possible. Will came out and taught us about those red pull cords (youre supposed to cut them to vehicle height when you move in🤦‍♀️...oops) and got our door back in usable shape until they come back to install a new panel. He also helped us out by getting our second garage door to open higher as it was stopping like a ft short. Great service, helpful and friendly people! Thank you Action Garage Door!

They replaced our springs and the whole garage door opener. I told them I wanted the best one available. Two years later it broke again. Called them up and scheduled another install. Waited a week and they show up and said it was just for an estimate. I told the office lady on the phone I didn’t need an estimate that they replaced it last time just get it done. Then they tell me it will be another two weeks before they can come back out. Called another company and they informed me that they installed a used opener from 2001. Wasn’t even a new opener from two years ago. Scammers! Went with Treasure Valley garage doors. Outstanding service.

So impressed. I called the company about a replacement outside keypad. The receptionist was very thoughtful and asked the necessary questions to take care of me. One of the owners, Billy Mahan came to the phone and we had a long discussion. To make a long story short, they installed the keypad, as well as, a new Liftmaster garage door opener with Wi-Fi capability, and I feel like Ive moved from the stone ages into the future. The installer, Mark, was very hospitable to my wife and installed everything perfectly, and did not leave a mess. About a year ago I had this place come out because I had a hinge on my garage door break, and it was causing a gap between the other panels and making a terrible squeaking noise when it was used. The guy came out and said that the hinge couldnt be replaced because it was an end hinge, as well as the springs were bad which was causing the squeaking. Because of this his assessment was an entire new garage door had to be purchased. He and the company quoted me over $4,500 for the new garage door with the labor. Thats not including my other single car garage door. However, his silver lining was that I was getting a new garage door opener for free!! I was so depressed over this. Thankfully I decided to get a second opinion. A handyman guy came out, told me the guy was lying about the hinge not being able to he replaced, and that it absolutely could. He also said the only reason why the springs were squeaking was because they just needed to be tightened. $120 and he put on a new hinge, and tightened the springs. After that the garage door worked as good as new.These crooks were going to rob me of over $4,500 and not lose any sleep over it. Save your hard earned money and go somewhere else is the best advice I can give.

In my 3 years as a home inspector, I have never seen an issue with a garage door that has an Action Garage door sticker on it. I once saw Action garage door installing doors for a Fire Department station. If the Fire Department is using Action garage door for their own doors. I must say this is the best of them all. I actually have Action garage doors in my 1970s home. Never had one issue. I am not getting any money or referral from this company, I just thought folks might be interested on who the best is! Horrible experience from start to finished. Well, it’s not even finished! Our sales man came out measured and we ordered the doors. The doors show up and are exactly the size of the opening. So they install them and try and seal the gap with the trim/seal. The trim/seal on the sides barely covers the gap. The installer admitted they where the wrong size. Both garage doors where supposed to have windows. One door showed up with windows and the other didn’t. Took a month to get them to come put the windows in the other door. The windows don’t match. The glass is clear on one door and the other door is glazed. Called over a month ago and they sent someone out. Haven’t heard a word back. The doors bind and make all kinds of noise. Horrible experience and horrible customer service so far. Court may be in the future.

My opener took a dump. I started to set it up n put it all together and my back went out. I called asking if somebody could come over n help me lift the opener and track up as I had done everything else. A short time later Chase showed up. He would not let me lift a finger. It was only a 5 min job to mount it and he even programmed my remotes. He then refused to take any payment. I was blown away by the kindness and attention to detail. I highly recommend this company. I also highly recommend Chase. Would be wasting your money and time going anywhere else. THIS IS WHAT A BUSINESS IN AMERICA SHOULD BE!

Springs went out. Called and made an appointment explaining the issue. Charlie just came and replaced both of them for just under $200. Would recommend this company. Not sure what happened with the people complaining but this process was quick and painless.

Pricing was ridiculous for same day service. Their quote is $180 per hour for labor on same day service and they do not offer same day service for fixing garage springs. It is by appointment only so if you want it fixed the same day be prepared to pony up $180 per hour. I called Garage Doors 911 and Overhead garage doors. Both locations quoted $75 per hour same day service. Just to be clear and fair, Overhead garage doors is a large company but Garage Doors 911 is a smaller company. I went with Garage Doors 911 and was extremely satisfied. Do not use Action Garage doors their pricing is absolutely ridiculous!

My car was stuck in the garage when I couldnt get the door open - JD came out the next day and replaced my springs and got it up (and down) and running in no time, and I thought the charge was reasonable. Im extremely satisfied!

We had Action Garage install an insulated garage doors as we had a bedroom over the garage. The insulated doors has kept the temperature in the low 80s with the 100+ degree weather. The air conditioner isnt running all the time upstairs and the bedroom is comfortable to be in during the hot summer months. Thank you Action Garage for suggesting we upgrade our garage doors to cut down on the excess heat and cold in the garage which affects the bedroom above it. We love our new doors and they are so quiet.

STAY AWAY FROM ACTION DOORS!! Had a deal done even provided a $1500 deposit to place order..salesman called 13 days later and told me they cancelled the order. Would not give a reason, just gave bosses name. I called him to find out why, left a message, and he doesnt have the moral value to call me back to tell me why. Would have given them 10 SUB stars for a review if I could have. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

I called on a weekend for an after hours repair on a Sunday. The tech was very rude demanding that he would only come out if it was a true emergency. I told him that I had two cars stuck in my garage. He was still VERY reluctant to come out because he was not sure i f that constituted a true emergency. At that point I should have called someone else. One of my reasons for randomly selecting them was the close proximity of their shop to my home. They charged my overtime for a round trip from Homedale. Even though I gave him the manufacture and model number of the door he did not have the correct spring. We were able to get the cars out but had to pay for a second service call.Within a year I had a second failure, I called back for a warranty claim. They did not fix the problem and they did not tell me that they did not fix it. I called them back and explained that it was not fixed, they told me that it was my fault for modifying the door (which I had not). At some point they admitted that the undersized the spring but wanted to charge me for two more service calls and or replace the door. I called another shop, he came out and fixed the first time in about an hour. He had the springs n the truck the first trip. I feel like Action was trying to gouge us, I will NEVER use them again.

This was my first experience with an issue with my garage door and all I had to do was call them and schedule a time to get it taken care of. We have a new house and noticed the garage door needed some adjusting, as they often do. I called Action Garage Door and an appointment was set for a few days later. The service tech ( sorry, I do not recall his name) was quick with the adjustment and a nice guy. The most important thing, is the garage door now operates like it should.

Great price and service! Gave me a great price over the phone with no hassles or games. DL doors tried to charge 2x on the bid, then tried to lower and rescue biz from a call back, seemed alittle inappropriate. Called Boise garage store, they didnt call back, found out they didnt want my biz because of personal issues they have because of a honest and fair review I(in my opinion)gave to one of their friends. That is all fine, its American, but concerning they cant separate biz from personal. I never did anything to them! Concerning if you do biz with these people, then u do something to someone they dont like, will they stand behind their work? Or will they blow u off??? After getting a very inflated estimate from another company, I went with Action. From start to finish I was impressed and happy with the interaction. I will be using them for all my garage door issues moving forward.

Clearly requested a price for a panel on a specific model of door. They would not give one without looking at the door, so I scheduled for them to look at it asking quite clearly if I needed to be present to which they stated that I did not. Came to the house with a tag stating they’d missed me and to call to reschedule. The same person at the front desk who arranged the last visit was not interested in explaining why I needed to be present to identify the door - even after I’ve told them the model.

Unprofessional and unsafe, they use cheap parts that end up costing you more in the long run.

Todays new door installation is the second time Ive called on Action Garage Door. AJs initial inspection and attempt at repair was spot on and his recommendation of doors led me to a good decision. The installation was clean and Im incredibly happy with their work, again.

Would not recommend. Had my springs replaced at a high dollar amount about 3 years ago. Last night the springs failed. What kind of company installs a cheap product that fails so quickly? We had an accident with our garage door. Steve came over right away assessed our situation and arranged for one of his technicians to come over early the next day. We thought we had a very serious situation and we would have agreed to a very costly repair. It turned out to be relatively minor and 40 minutes later the door was working smoother than ever. We highly recommend their service.

The garage door openers on our newly constructed home were suppose to come with keypads. The keypads were missing. And, according to our builder, the company who installed the openers closed up shop and moved out of state! So our builder contacted Action Garage Door and they came out and installed a keypad without charge. Service was quick and hassle-free. The keypads work well and Im satisfied. The installer told me to give him a call if there is any problem with the keypad working in the future.

Just was on the phone lady had no idea what was wrong and could not give me a price range when 2 others did. dont fell confident in service like that
