I had a great experience buying my 1st car with Jeri Velasquez assisting me, making the process as easy and smooth as possible. I was in and out fast with the car I wanted. The relationships between the members here are amazing! They really make you feel comfortable and at home.

My husband and I had been looking for a used car for over 4 months. We have been to different dealerships and theyve all treated us like we had no chance at getting a car. Last Friday my husband said we were going to give the Team Volkswagen a chance, I agreed but was honestly not looking forward to going because of how weve been treated recently. We dont get off work until 4:30/5:00 so we dont have a lot of time to look at a car. Wes and Tim completely changed that for us on Friday!! My husband and I were looking at a car and gave even though there were only 20 minutes until closing time Wes and Tim stayed there and made us new car owners!! They are amazing guys to work with and really took the time to listen to what we wanted and were looking for. So if you are looking for a dealership to purchase a new car I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TEAM VOLKSWAGEN!!!

I bought a car in a rush a few months ago and it wasn’t a good fit for me, so I ended up trading in for a different one. I worked with Jeri both times and it was just like car shopping with a helpful friend. Everyone was very helpful and understanding. The dreaded paperwork part was actually a breeze compared to my experience elsewhere getting my first car. That helped tremendously with my experience as I’m always in a hurry. I’d def recommend to anyone.

This place is a total scam. I took my car in to get a spare key programmed. When they returned my vehicle to me the key did not function properly. The trunk button did not work. Ironically the unlock button popped the trunk. Also the gas door no longer opened. All of these were functional before taking the car in. But instead of admitting there was an issue with the work done on my key fob, they would only fix these issues after I pay a hefty diagnosis fee for them to troubleshoot it. So it ended up costing me $1,500 to get the car back to the original condition I brought it in, but with a new key fob. Absolutely avoid this place if possible.

I had such a great experience at this Merrillville VW! Jeri was so helpful to me with his knowledge on the cars and working with my budget. Getting my first car was a long process, but this dealership made me confident in the vehicle that I choose. The facility itself is nice inside however the Sales individuals are very misleading specifically Wayne and the GM Mac does not understand customer service at all. We purchased a brand new audi q5 and was completely mislead about vehicle features (navigation) was stated numerous times it was equipped and that service started once vehicle was purchased by Wayne. Kept asking that night and next day and was issued vague answers. We then called audi directly and was then told this vehicle was not equipped. It could be purchased by functions on demand but did not come with the packaged despite being told directly. Went to the GM the next day as I wanted one with this feature and they would not even offer to upsale me a different vehicle which we would have paid for. GM stated as adults its our responsibility before purchasing even though I asked numerous times.When buying a luxury car you would would with the money spent the last thing a gm would try to do is belittle a customer. Since Wayne did not admit to this the GM Mac will do nothing. Even though it was only two days. Worst dealership we have ever been too where purposely mislead despite asking numerous times and GM not even trying to rectify the issue. We buy vehicles quite frequently and have never had one blatantly lie and then not even try to help the situation.. Terrible dealership. There are much better luxury dealerships who will go above and beyond for their customers. Not Team audi!!!!Also for anyone looking at the gray 2021 Tahoe they literally marked this up over 10k from what they traded it in for And the MSRP on this vehicle was only 58k. Wanted to save other customers the work if interested in this vehicle.

My daughters car broke down on I-65 and her car was towed to Team Volkswagen. They were very quick in getting the car in to evaluate so I knew if I would get the car back that day or if I had to arrange for transportation back home and pickup later. They accurately identified the issue, ordered the parts and had the car ready per original commit. We were lucky that we broke down so close to Team Volkswagen.

I just bought my 2nd Volkswagen from Team Volkswagen. I bought a Tiguan for my daughter and I just bought a Atlas SEL Premium. Both of these cars I bought from Ryan Roddy. Ryan is very professional and he is always looking to make sure he takes care of the customer. This time around I did not have a lot of time to spend at the dealer to buy my car. I let Ryan know where I wanted to be as far as a deal and financing and he made it work. He had everything done for me when I showed up. I was in and out within an hour. When I was signing my paperwork my financial manger who is as getting my paper work together was very professional. He let me know what options I had had far as extended warranty and other things. However he was never trying to push anything on me. He just let me know what my options were. You can tell that the culture at Team Volkswagen is all about taking care of the customer. This must start with the owners down to the general manager ( Mac Cannon) I can’t say enough about my experience. If you are in the market for a Volkswagen or Audi I highly recommend Team Volkswagen. I am sure all the sales consultants are top notch. I noticed the atmosphere when I walked into the dealership. Every one is willing to help. Thanks again for making my car buying experience a great one and you definitely have a customer for life.

Took my husbands car in for an oil change. Someone in the service dept told me the car needed an alignment. I was told it would be $195 for the oil change and alignment, so i signed the consent form. When i went to pay, I was told the total is $221. I asked why it was $30 higher and was told it was a $36.95 shop charge, for shop rags and lube and stuff like that. I said I wouldnt pay more than the total I was quoted and signed for. They adjusted the total (noting it as a discount) to $195 BUT wrote on the service record customer signed for $225 estimate, which is not true and dishonest. The service person said i must have misunderstood or not heard him when he told me about the extra charges. Yep, my fault for not knowing they add random charges which were not disclosed.

My last visit was 21 Jan 2017, that is the visit I have on video. I tried to leave several reviews on this company after my visit to no avail. I have NOT returned to Team Volkswagen. I was just quoted a price for service that was previously performed at Team. Teams price I was charged and paid was $3,000. Highland Volkswagen price was $750. Thank you HIGHLAND VW for living up to your reputation of the best Volkswagen dealership in NWI! Team VW could learn a few things from Highland VW.

I only take my Audi to this dealership for service, even passing up closer places. I really like the way I am treated as well as the service provided.

Drove over an hour to see a vehicle they had listed on their website for a good price. By the time I arrived, the price had gone up $1,000. Regardless of this, the dealer stated they’d honor the original price I saw and would not negotiate further. After agreeing, the dealership tried slipping in $300 for “aftermarket items” on the bill of sale. This “VIN Etching” service was forced on me and I did not request it or agree to it. Dealer refused to remove this and would not work with me on the issue, as it’s extra profit for them. Beware of hidden charges, this type of practice is not found at other dealerships.

Brought my key fob in to be reprogrammed for my car. The dealership wasn’t able to get it connected even though it is a Volkswagen key fob and still charged me $90. They then threaten to call the cops on me!!!! I have never gotten such horrible service in my whole life. I would have paid half $45 instead for them trying but after looking into it they were lying and it is a legit Volkswagen key. Beware! Stay away walk away run away drive away whatever you have to do take a train plane or automobile to get Away from these crooks! Including pictures of the keys for proof of their authenticity. Edit they falsified information to deny my claim against the charge. I included pictures of charges that are falsified. Not my card number and not my car! Beware they are liars and thieves! Reply to team vw: I was told “if it is a vw key fob 100% we’ll be able to reprogram it. If it is an aftermarket key fob they it will be 50/50 odds.” Never once was I told I’d have to pay even if you weren’t able to connect a authentic VW key.

I recently had service done for a 2009 EOS and was extremely pleased with Team Volkswagen. There was quite a bit of delay with the repair (total engine replacement) due to dealing with a third party warranty issue, however, everyone I dealt with at Team Volkswagen was patient and helpful. Extra thanks to Brandon in the service department who had the best customer service, always prompt responses and call backs.

Beware of Dave Brown the Service Manager. He lies to customers and doesn’t own his mistakes. Really overshadows everything else. Not lying is the minimum threshold to do business.

First time I have considered buying a car from a dealership, I have a hard time spending money, found them to be very reasonably priced, there was no pressure to buy, the cars sell theirselves! The young lady, Anna, I believe her name was, was very easy to talk to and made the whole process easy. I was never going to buy a car from a dealer, I shocked myself by doing so, not new but in great shape. I am adding on to this review for service department, the guy Brian, service advisor used scare tactics to sell me a battery I may well have not needed, and certainly did not need installed. This follow up experience was in stark contrast with the initial purchase. Be aware of them pushing batteries when not needed. Get them cheaper elsewhere.

Ive bought and sold many cars in my day and my most recent purchase of a car from Team Audi/VW was a great experience. From Sonia taking care of me online before my arrival to Pat making the test drive and purchase experience ideal. Walked in to my appointment at 1pm, met Pat, drove the car, negotiated terms, bought the car and drove out by 2:30pm. Pat and the others at Team Audi/VW were polite, professional, non-salesy, and all-in-all made for a very pleasant experience.

This dealership is dishonest!! We had agreed on a price for a car and I had filled out the application online, but the salesman then told me that we would have to complete the transaction the next day because they were wrapping things up for that day. Then at 8:00 at night the salesman texted me and told me that they sold it to someone else! Very unprofessional. I would not recommend dealing with this dealership!

After being lied to on multiple occasions by HIGHLAND VW I decided to come here and get things sorted out and Im so happy I did. They were quick to find the issues I was having and were able to work around my schedule. Not to mention that Dave Brown, the service manager, gave me his own demo for the day while my car was getting fixed in the shop. You cant find this kind of customer service anymore. Dominick253Regarding your post about Team Volkswagen threatening to call the police on you. They sent me correspondence and a coupon for an oil change. When I went in for said oil change after giving them my business for 8 years, they let me sit for almost 1 hour before they told me I was banned due to a bad review. Then they refused to give me my key back. I sat for another 1 1/2 hours. The owner told me to leave or he would call the police. I told him I couldn’t leave. They refused to give me my keys. I sat and waited for my keys. They then kept threatening to call the police. I told them to call because I am physically unable to leave without my keys and car. They called and requested 2 officers to escort me out. When the officers arrived they then gave me my keys and acted like I had them the entire time. Fortunately I have video of this entire incident. In the video you can hear one employee mentioning I had come to get parts with a “black man”. I didn’t know they were racists or afraid of a 120 pound female veteran. One good thing came out of this, the police officers were nice and apparently had done this many times. They even told me other other places better than Team Volkswagen. I took suggestions and took my business to Highland Volkswagen. I informed them of what happened and they said they encourage reviews, good or bad. They said it is an opportunity to let them fix what is wrong. They were absolutely perfect and I found out that Team Volkswagen had been telling me they put in Crappy oil instead of Synthetic (what my car needed) and had been over charging me for years. I’m sure Team will complain to Google and pay to get this review removed like the others I had done. Don’t go to Team, they will threaten you and try to intimidate you by using the police. Always use video or audio recording when you go to team to deal with the repair window and definitely when you speak to the owner. If they threaten to call the police, just sit and wait for the police to show up. Don’t make a scene, because that’s what TeamVW wants you to do. If you are a woman or minority and you have to go to Team, I highly encourage you to get a police escort. It will save everyone time, because you know they are going to call the police anyways.

My husband needed to buy a used car fast due to someone totalling his work car. We were able to find a great car to fit his needs at a wonderful price! We were treated fairly and the process went smoothly and quickly. We will be telling others and coming back next time we need a car!

Absolute disappointment. After several visits to fix my car...several thousands of dollars replacing what they thought would fix it. Here we are a year later with the same problem. Now only to find out that they cant fix my car and told me to take itSomewhere else. Unbelievable unprofessionalism. It was Dave who told me you cant fix it.

I have never been subjected to a salesperson who insisted on telling my wife what she wanted. Now I may be wrong, but I thought as a potential repeat customer we were supposed to inform the salesperson what we wanted and he was supposed to find it for us, not the other way around. I hope my wife hears from another salesperson other than Mr. Roddy.... she is more interested in what she wanted versus what he wanted to sell her!

I came here after a horrible experience with Gurley Leep. Without an appointment, my car was diagnosed and fixed in less than half the time it took Gurley Leep to rip me off (they didn’t even mention the active recall that my car is currently in for). All of the staff were polite and extremely helpful. Definitely worth the extra drive time!

Made an appointment weeks in advance to get a recall done on my vehicle, prompted the option on their website that said I would be needing a loaner car. Paperwork in the mail said it would take two hours. I arrive and they have no loaner cars, and explain that they don’t ever have loaner cars.Then change your website.

Slow. Inconsiderate. But, if you do have to deal with the service dept. Dave is great, he gets 5 stars.

This is the best vw dealer I have been too. They are upfront and honest. I have both my vw services here, and between the 2 am in every few month for routine maintenance. Their prices are competitive and staff extremely friendly and honest. While I haven’t bought from them, I plan to because of my service experience.

We were invited to come out and look at a vehicle for a quoted price of 13990. When we test drove the vehicle we noticed a knock in motor (my guy is a mechanic!) We were told its only the exhaust and the new price is 16990!! I am so disgusted with the lack of professionalism. Dont let this lot sell you a lemon. We test drove 2 vehicles and both had major issues.

Salesman had no true information about the cars. Every question was answered with its German engineering so you know it is good. Also very poor selection of vehicles on the lot. They dont even stock all of the models.

My wife and I bought a 2019 Tiguan from here a few months ago. The salesman Brian Linsemeyer was friendly and easy to work with throughout the buying process. We actually came to Team VW to buy our car after the price for the same car at Highland VW increased the same day we went in to make a purchase. We saw that Team VW also had the trim, color, and options we wanted with a better starting price. I have brought the car in to the service department as well and the staff in service has also been friendly and helpful.

I wouldnt suggest bringing your car here for a repair unless its still under warranty through audi! The mechanics arent very skilled or knowledgeable when its comes to repair on older model vehicles! Brought my 2005 A8 here for transmission problems and was charged nearly 400 dollars for diagnosis only for them to be wrong. I was told I needed a new transmission and my fluid was overfilled. They let some fluid out and my car drove horrible leaving the shop, worse than when I brought it. I called them immediately and was told if I bring it back they can put more fluid back in, but I would have to leave it until the next day. What?? Really? His response was, well man you need a new transmission expect this to happen. I decided to get a second opinion from a reputable foreign car repair shop I found in Hobart and turned out I needed fresh fluid and a filter. He told me the fluid was so low that he couldnt believe they let me drive away like that. Fluid and filter was changed and car drives perfect now. Not only did they mis-diagnose my car, but let fluid out until in was under the factory limit so I ended up being worse off than when I came. Its sad how the makers of your car have little expertise on how to repair it. Either that or they wanted to make 7 grand off me for a trans rebuild. Thanks for the 400 dollar car wash team!!!

Scheduled service & requested loaner 2 weeks in advance - was told no problem. When I arrived (90 mile trip) I was told SORRY - we called Enterprise this morning and they have NOTHING AVAILABLE!! REALLY?! Horrible customer service - def thumbs down!

The folks there are knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous and for me it would be hard to purchase a new car anywhere else because I always feel comfortable there.. I dont know how anybody could give Team anything but a 5 Star rating, its that good...! If you are looking to purchase a vehicle, especially a VW or Audi, this is the place to go..! ** AFTER THE SALE SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT ** BUYERS BEWARE **We spent $28,000 on a vehicle here. No small purchase for us at all. We needed a truck for use on our farm.Patrick Beard, The General Manager Mac Cannon and even the used car manger Chris, who Patrick stated in an email to me is one of the OWNERS, are not true to their word, and do not take care of customers. Here is why.One - two weeks after we owned our truck, we contacted our salesman Patrick Beard and then the GM Mac Cannon who after a week of prodding would only cover a portion of a repair that cost us almost $400.00 for a malfunctioning power window regulator. Now, you think, a portion, thats fair. Right? They didnt even send what they offered with many follow ups, and now just dont return any calls or emails.In addition, they were to TRANSFER our license plates. However, instead they ordered new ones. No big deal? Right? However, that error costs us another $140.00 to the DMV to correct that error.Once they make the sale, they do not take care of their customers!BUYERS BEWARE

Fantastic staff that provides excellent service. These guys went the extra mile helping us turn in our VW TDI back to VW. The car would not start. VW love is not just a saying when you have people at dealers that care about VW owners! Stranded with a blown tire and with out a wheel lock! The worst possible situation! Not only did they have a matching wheel lock but the parts manager Kevin brought it to me and saved the day! These guys went beyond out of their way to help me out when every where else could only tow me to a place that didnt even have the right tool to get my tire off!
