The first time we were there I was shocked on how Unhelpful the young kids working are. You ask them a question and they say I dont know and then they just stand there instead of saying let me find out for you. When I took back my costume that didnt fit I asked them for a larger size and they did have one in but the package looked like it had been ran over by a car a hundred times so I asked the girl if I could look at the package inside to make sure everything was in there and she said yes but then after I opened it it had been worn it had makeup on the white part of the the costume and when she called the manager about it the manager yelled at her for letting me look at it. They have officially lost any kind of business I would ever give them again. Everyone there is so unprofessional.

Party city always have what you need not matter what. However they never seem to have enough cashiers and Im not sure why that is. Long lines with one cashier is not good. 🤦🏽

On 8/1 at 5:00pm the customer service i received was horrible! I waited 15mins in line while the customer at the register looked around deciding which balloons she wanted...while it was very kind of the woman to provide the lady with a personalized experience it then makes your customers in line have a bad experience. Apparently they were short staffed with lots of call offs which is what the cashier expressed to me. I just felt very frustrated standing in line while the lady at the register changed her mind several times and even for a min the customer and the cashier was just standing there while the lady continued to decide on what she wanted, i just felt that the cashier should have asked the woman if she needed more time to make her purchase and if she could step to the side until she is ready. Hope this feedback is taken into account

Great place for all party needs. Prices are a bit high on some items, but you can find great deals on other items. Wonderful selection of balloons and party decoration themes to choose from. They have a bunch of licensed characters from all popular cartoons/movies.

They were very busy but helpful in finding things I needed and helped with my balloon order for Hobart grad. And I made advance order for the 6th for Merrillville balloon order. Went in to pick up. Girl was by register took my receipt and got my balloons. In and out. Good employees and helpful.

Huuuuuge store! The selection here is QUANTITY over quality however there are definitely some hidden gems here.a bit pricey, but so much more than Halloween/holidays. They have what you need. A bit pricey for some items. Also, not everything is clearly labeled with its price, so that presented a challenge in helping to make sure we were staying on budget for our event. I like that they track purchases by email or phone number. It makes returns without a receipt possible.

Two weeks in a row I have went to this party city. Last weekend: I wanted a #2 balloon for my sons birthday pictures. I was told they were out of helium. Okay not a problem really.Today: Back at party city for balloons for his birthday party. I’m told they are out of helium again!How is party city regularly out of helium.... they may want to order more as balloons are pretty serious assets to a birthday party.

Terrible customer service. I never give bad reviews but the way my son and I were treated, I will never be back!! Also, I visited last month and they were out of a lot of costume accessories already. You have to try on costume in the bathroom with no mirror or actual dressing room. This place has gone downhill from the years I have been coming. Maybe the Valparaiso Party City is better?

The employees are really nice and informative here. They didnt have what I was looking for so an employee recommended I look online. There it was! Exactly what I needed. Shipped free to my house. The store was neat and orderly with room to walk in between isles.

Employees dont know how to multitask or gauge which tasks are more important. They answer phone in the middle of transactions, walk away to talk to other people, gossip with each other while ringing up someones transaction. They usually have wait times for filling helium balloons that are crazy.

Definitely the place to go if you need plates, napkins, cups, etc of a specific color or theme. Pretty much any popular kids character you can think of. Tons of small party favors to make gift bags instead of candy. Lots of balloons to choose from.

I went into the store, when asking for assistance the employees seemed bothered to help. I was looking to get balloons for a party, but the employee said they didnt have helium. There was over 40 boxes of helium right next to us. The employee then said if we wanted the balloons blown up we would have to buy a box. Which is way to much helium for what we need it. We asked if they could store use one of the boxes and they replied that NO since we were walk in customers. We wont be back to this location due to the employees being rude and unaccomidating.

Ive been here numerous times out of necessity. I will give them 2 stars for having a decent selection, but zero stars for the staff. I have yet to be in there where the staff was attentive. If Im lucky, they are indifferent. If its a bad day, they seem annoyed someone has actually asked them to do something. Im so done.

This place is great for trinkets to use as rewards for your kids. I use little fun prizes like tatoos and stickers or fun knick knacks for incentives for chores. Super cheap at .$.40 a pop.

The lightning is Dim, the cashiers are entirely to slow due to socializing with their Co-Workers.

Sadly, what can ruin a place for me more than anything is rude people. Ive dealt with rudeness, incompetence, laziness, at this location on several occasions. The person working the register should not have a job dealing with people, period. Completely offensive, and dismissive. I prefer writing good reviews, but this time I just cant.

I dont think Ive ever been in this store over all the years. It was very dark not well lit. Seemed to be merchandised well. No floor help and around 3 people working upfront. Seemed like a really weird setup. I didnt find what we were looking for.

The checkout line is painfully slow. Each person checking out takes almost 20 minutes. Ive been in line for over 20 minutes and theres 2 more people in front of me.

I found exactly what I needed looked around the store it was very clean Swift check out. The only thing as staff was not friendly at all
