My first visit to Bob’s. I found it a warm, low sales pressure environment. However, plenty of sales people at the ready. And, Ironically, our sales expert was named “Bob” (no relation..lol). I noticed he stayed far enough away so we didn’t feel like he was just selling, but close enough so when we wanted him, he could easily be located. From the beginning he talked “to” us, not “at” us. And so, when finally making a decision, we happily sought him out. We visited quite a few furniture stores, however, none of them could even come close to Bob’s prices, in the showroom or the warehouse. Next step will be to see if the product quality is “really there. Only time will tell.

Great deal with the exception that when we got couch home we noticed under seats and back was filled (it took an hour to clean) with pet hair. Apparently this was used and returned to store. We were not told this!! The pet smell was very noticeable to our own dog. Who continues to smell the couch now.

Very bad experience with delivery. We had made arrangements to be rhere at the time they said. The delivery person showed up early and refused to wait until my daughter arrived in 15 mins. They left and refused to deliver. Very poor service. Still waiting. Delivery team very rude!

Bought a loveseat 3 weeks ago upon delivery there was a cut in the arm, which delivery took photos of. Never heard back. Finally contacted “customer service “ they wanted to fix it, no I bought a new couch I want a new couch. A week later They send out wrong side, another week and they bring the correct side and the delivery guy damaged the center console (see pic). Customer service is again useless, tell me due to the length of time I’ve had couch all they can do is repair it. I haven’t had a new couch yet. Never again bobs. Spent almost $5000 there the last 2 years, they’ll never get another dime.

My husband and I visited the Merrillville location in search for a new storage bed for my daughter. We actually found one in the outlet section with the help of some incredible staff members. Jeff was really good with assisting us in our search. Destiny was amazing! The store was still waiting for certain parts to be delivered before they could sell the item and she did an amazing job at keeping us updated on the product. She called when the parts came in and made the purchase process extremely smooth. She went over and beyond to assist us and we appreciate it. Crystal the manager was also great in the process of cancelling our online order for us and transferring the credit to make the in store purchase. We were extremely pleased with the staff at this location and will definitely will return in the future to purchase more items.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The people are always so friendly and helpful, without following you around.The quality of the furniture is AMAZING. We’ve ordered front room sets and dining room sets before and it’s always stunning. I just had my new bed frame delivered today, and the guys that delivered it were friendly and extremely nice. And they put it together quickly and it is PERFECT. Once again I’m blown away by how beautiful, sturdy and high quality it is.I’ll never buy any type of furniture anywhere else!

Had nothing but trouble with our loveseat. Color n make never stock to have replaced. Called 4 different times scheduled a tech too come out. No call or show. Call back again its not in our system for the scheduled date! Its been replaced at 2 times. Still the same issue. Will not purchase here again in the future.

Bought a dresser and was told the double bearing whatevers were nice and easy to work with. Instead, I was greeted with drawers that both didnt want to come out and didnt want to go back in. The feet that came with it are obnoxious, and the whole thing is tipsy once theyre installed. Absolutely terrible build quality.

This place is a rip off! They are nice when they are selling you the item but after you purchase it and the “goof proof” they no longer care. They ordered a switch for my sectional last year, or so they say…. Haven’t seen it yet and one of the pieces they just replaced because they said it wasn’t padded properly, is just as bad as the first one. Its not bad padding, it’s just all around bad products! I paid way too much for it and seeing how their “customer service” works, I will never buy from them again. Don’t waste your money!!!

Adrianna Teverbaugh has helped me on multiple occasions when I have visited the Merrillville location she is actually the reason why I wanted to return to the store and purchase multiple items, her approach is Just right!!! she did not pressure me into buying something I truly did not want! she listened to all of my needs and showed me options she treated me and my family with respect and she was very patient With me as well while I made a decision. She also gave me space to browse the store on my own while still being attentive. This amazing woman really knows how to leave a lasting impression ! customer service is a big thing for me, having worked retail for over five years I can tell when someone’s being genuine and just trying to sell me something, I can tell that she honestly cared about me being happy and satisfied with whatever I chose to buy. All of the representatives at this store where very nice … but Adrianna left a lasting impression. She truly cared about my needs as a customer. I truly feel valued and continue to recommend my friends to shop here. I truly hope that this company values this employee because she is something special!

Ive got a bed that has broken two times now from faulty pinch welds on the support underneath. First time was no problem and they replaced it right away. Second time they are claiming I did not know how it happened even though I clearly told them multiple times the pinch welds broke under regular use, not jumping on it or anything. Heres my proof.EDIT:After writing this review Jamie at the Merrillville location contacted me via text. Asked for some pictures and had a replacement frame out in less than a week after scheduling.Thanks Jamie!

I bought furniture at Bobs and lasted less then 2 years and I got a rip in the sofa. I paid for a 5 year warranty and they will not cover it because I do not know how it happened. Really? Is this a joke? I just happened to notice it one day and this is what I get?If you are smart you will not shop at Bobs. They are cheap furniture and charge high prices. I will only go in there once more to tell them what I think. I remember the sales man telling me how they stand behind their furniture.. Ha Ha Ha Ha

I rarely write negative reviews...but this deserves one. Cheap prices...at the cost of service. So frustrated with this company. Such a disappointing transaction. Promised to deliver in 2 weeks. Then was pushed out over a month. Then they only brought one dresser out of 3 and no bed. Then they brought the nightstand and bed but forgot the bed rails at warehouse. Then the other dresser came and they forgot the bed rails again. Sent emails, texts and called the store for 2 weeks straight and still nothing. Not even a response. Called store got put into a loop on automated system for 40 minutes and was disconnected while holding. Did it again...and again. Finally got through and the excuse was they marked it as delivered. I sent pictures the first time and they said it would be in next shipment. Called today. No notes about the call yesterday and nothing had been set up once again. Offered nothing to compensate. Just more run around. I’m ready to tell them to take it all back.

Just shop elsewhere! When I first wrote this review in June of 2021 it had 4 stars! At first, I was impressed... not so much anymore.6/2021: Michelle from the Merrillville location helped my husband and I find a living room set that we fell in love with! She was great. Very friendly and not pushy like most people in sales. The 4 stars are for Michelle! I took off 1 star due to the ridiculously long delivery wait.EDIT 8/13/21: our furniture was supposed to be delivered on the 17th. They called us on the 13th to tell us that it is being delayed and that we wont receive it til the 3rd of next month... after waiting over 10 weeks.. Keep this in mind when buying from Bobs. I knocked another star off for this reason.EDIT #2 8/29/21: we are now on delivery delay #2. Originally supposed to have our furniture delivered on August 17th. Then it was delayed to September 3rd. Now it is delayed til September 17th. Another star is knocked off for this reason. I will not be surprised if they contact us on the 12th or 13th of September stating another delivery delay.EDIT #3 9/10/21: Our sofa and loveseat will be here September 15th (hopefully)... but now the recliner is delayed until OCTOBER. I cant explain the anger we feel especially after paying the full amount ($2500) back in June.This is getting ridiculous. We are so mad at ourselves for choosing this company. It does not matter how great your employees are.. the vendors suck. I wont be recommending Bobs Furniture to anybody.What is the point of giving customers a delivery date if you keep delaying said date?!

Delivered different furniture than I ordered, and the bed was damaged. After having to sleep on the floor for a month, they delivered more damaged furniture and refused to take the one they delivered by mistake. Would give zero stars if it were available. Do not buy furniture here. Edit : more than a week later the damaged furniture still has not been picked up. Their customer service is a joke.

In the beginning very sad sales staff sitting down not paying attention to me and my fiance then one salesperson came over to us when he was only looking for a quick sale.. no knowledge from the front of the store we walked to the back where the discount furniture was because of a rip or a tear so we got to talking to a young girl who was talking to us and know sooner than in mid sentence she blew us off starting talking to another couple the. She actually thought it was okay like know big deal we had enough..then finally we met a salesperson who was friendly kind knowledgeable and cared about what we had concerns with. So with the help of are salesperson we purchased a great new sofa and loveseat set thank you Mr. Luciano Garza for all your help and consideration and knowledge.Bob you need more sales staff like him thank you.

I cant believe your company is so incompetent. You delivered my bed last Tuesday only to find out that there was parts missing. So they come today to put the bed together & did not have the parts. Now Im told the parts will be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday but not to be put together until friday. Apparently no order was put in for that. You Delivered the wrong color server. Hopefully that will get resolved & when my table bench & chairs come in they will be the correct color. Not to mention that I ordered this stuff at the beginning of December. I even talked to customer service the day they delivered the the & server. Not satisfied at all.

My wife and I ordered a couch recliner and love seat recliner. We love them. However the delivery people were very rude and damaged our walls. We contacted them and their boss offered us $60.00 for the damage. We had several damaged areas and needed custom paint and drywall repairs. Plus they damaged custom wall hangings. We counter with $150.00. They said they would get back to us the next day. Never heard from them. I went back to the Morrisville store to let them know what happened. I was given a song and dance of how sorry they were that happened. Still waiting for any action. This happened in March. Today is May 5th.

I worked with Mikey when I called Bobs for information on a sectional that I saw online. We are 2 hours away from the nearest Bobs so we were willing to make the 4 hour trip to look at the sectional but we knew it was what we wanted, we were just not sure which color to get. When we talked with Mikey, he offered to FaceTime with us so we could see the colors. It did change our decision and Im so glad we did that with him because we LOVE it! He was also so helpful through the process and delays. He was in constant communication with us.

We ordered a sectional couch back in October. They told is it wouldnt be ready until December. December came and went without and update or phone call. Finally we went to the store after getting the run around with customer service. They informed us that a piece for the couch would not be ready until APRIL 8. It was super inconsiderate not to make us aware and expect us to wait 6 months for furniture without an update. We got a complete refund but do not recommend buying furniture from them at all...ever!!!

Going into showroom businesses is usually an intimidating process. You feel like you’re being watched, the employees are usually really pushy and won’t leave you alone trying to pressure you into buying something you don’t want or need.But not here! As we walked in my fiancé and I were greeted right away by two polite employees. David Robinson was one of them. He showed us how to find the pricing for each item, gave us space to walk around and browse the store ect. He wasn’t a pushy sales person at all. David helped us pick out the perfect mattress, explaining everything in the buying process. I recommend asking for him on your visit to the store.

Went to the outlet store in merrillville Indiana. I have purchased several items from here before and you can often find some great deals. However this time I found a dresser that I wanted to purchase and it was priced at $161. I went and got a salesman who told me that was not the price. I asked if it could be honored. He said it was a new person in training who priced it wrong. He went and spoke to the manager Brad who said they would not honor it. I asked to speak to Brad and he te confirmed he could not honor it. He also said that people often take price tags and place them on other items insinuating that I may have done that which was disrespectful and rude. Needless to say I left very unhappy about my experience and feel that it is very unethical to not honor a price that was made in error.

One of the worst companies Ive ever had to deal with. Took about 4 months to get the couch I ordered, and then when they finally delivered it, they gave me the wrong freaking couch! And this was with me paying for the white glove delivery. Had to wait over an hour to talk to their support on the phone and they best they could do was exchange the couch, but the earliest they could do was over a month away!
