We ordered a couch & other furniture in June they told us 10-12 weeks. We moved into our new house in July & sold all our furniture expecting all our new furniture to come in soon. This is the end of October we still have no couch to sit on & missing other furniture. We stopped by the store to see why when we call the automated system it now says 14-16 weeks STILL!!! The gentleman helping me said I’d get a call back from him once he talked to someone on the phone … Never heard back from him !!! Don’t you think someone should be calling us giving us other options because at this point this couch is never coming .. I guess I’ll have to go back into the store and cause a scene … Thanks lazy non communitive sales employees at Ashley … They get their commission & don’t care that you never received your product … Still missing couch, fire pit & outdoor chair!!! It’s been 4 months & now they’re saying 14-16 weeks still … Ridiculous!!!!!

We found our dining room 7 piece set for $1,300 and mattress for $1,600 with the help of two of their workers and they were both amazing. We told her what we were looking for and she knew exactly what we needed on their in stock furniture. I would go back and i would work with them again on furnishing the rest of the house. Great and spectacular customer service stayed open after hours to help me get what I needed for my home.

We came in for the second time and we were pretty sure of what we wanted. Rylee helped us and gave us our space to look around but still stayed close to answer questions. We bought a sofa & Love seat and Mattresses and had an amazing experience. She even worked to get us the best deal.

We went on Monday and Sylvia was very attentive and always make sure to respond to any of our question. We were not ready to make a decision. When we came back a few days, she was not working unfortunately. But her colleague, Jorian step up and made comfortable and we went ahead and purchased our sectional. Great customer service! I was greeted immediately and I love the selection. Many great decor items to choose from as well. I went to a different furniture store in the area first and then came to Ashley’s to weigh my options. Steve greeted me right away and was very professional. He was patient and took time assisting me and answering all of my questions. I took time to decide and decided to purchase my furniture and it’s Ashley since they had a better selection. When I came back and was greeted immediately by Shay (Steve was not available during the time I was available to return) and Shay assisted me with at that point. She was very professional and knowledge of all pieces I had questions about; and she assisted me with my purchase. Shay was patient as well and I NEVER felt obligated or pressured with any sales professional. I will return to Ashely’s for future purchases.

Always good options of furniture in Ashley. Sale person wasn’t rude or anything, but she wasn’t that forthcoming with assisting us. We made a purchase because we saw something we were very interested in, but if we were on the fence about it and would have chose to leave she wouldn’t have done anything to figure out was we needed. Not our typical experience normally much better customer service however we walked away satisfied with our purchase.

This location has a great selection on the floor. It was so easy to find what we wanted. My family and I browsed and once we were ready the Stephanie wasted no time assisting us. The application process was quick and easy. She explained everything everything throughly. Visit time was about 45 mins.
First stopped here November 2020 to ordered furniture for an upcoming house. Spent near $15,000. Natasha was great. Fast forward to June 2021 - went back to see Natasha about a guest bedroom set. Found a set we were happy with… ETA of deliver - 12 weeks. We didn’t mind waiting. Time care around and it kept getting pushed back because of missing pieces. During that time, I again visited Natasha for a desk-chair combo. She said it was 12-16 weeks out but said that my previous order can be delivered as a partial order asap. I was okay with that, just wanted to get the guest bedroom set. I went to another Ashley Store to inquire about the desk - they guaranteed I could get it in a week. They called me to schedule delivery, I confirmed that delivery and also inquired about another delivery for the bedroom set. The customer service agent confirmed both orders were to be delivered on 9/10/21. My wife took off work to be there. I got home from work and was questioned about the bedroom set, so I texted Natasha - NEVER RESPONDED.Got her attention when threatening to cancel. Too little. Too late. Went to another store to rectify the situation. Getting a better deal and getting the equipment quick.Natasha was great once. But not following up, not answering texts…. And lying about availability of products. Wow. I will not shop at this location ever again.

Getting sick and tired of my order from March getting pushed back more and more. Now the rest of my bedroom set wont be here until February. They allocate your furniture to others if youre waiting on other pieces to arrive. One day your stuff is in the next its not. They wont do a partial order delivery unless you threaten to cancel. Wish I would have when the pieces Im waiting on now were in before in September. Now they are suddenly on backorder again.
The assistant manager Shay was great! Answered all our questions, helped us pick out and coordinate furniture styles.Shay also took time to go over all payment options and extras which was greatly appreciated, our experience was great so if you go to Ashleys furniture store ask for Shay.
I have had many difficulties in trying to reach someone on the phone at this specific store in Merrillville IN like 44 other customers here. If you click the “calls” topic under reviews you can see 44 other customers complaining about the same exact thing at this location giving a 1 star review. Meaning they don’t care to fix the issue. I call the store line press 3 and line rings endlessly. Have tried to reach out multiple days, many different times, consecutively and no answer. Corporate customer service unable to help as well only repeating that I dial the store line and press extension 3. Would really appreciate a problem solver here, yet only received automated responses. I would not recommend coming to this specific store. You would be better off going to a different location and rolling the dice somewhere else.

With the help of Ms. Sylvia I was able to find a beautiful bedroom set. She took her time pricing items to see which discount would work best for my budget. Once she handed me over to the finance department (Ms. Lucinda) it was a smooth transaction from there. Overall my experience was easy and enjoyable.

I love the variety of furniture Ashley has to offer. I wish after spending quite some bit, Ashley would include shipping for free. I also wish there were better deals the sales people are allowed to offer. We used to shop here years ago and were able to score great deals from the associates we worked with. Now it seems they dont offer much but 5 percent more than what the store is offering.

If only there was a 0 star option. My pregnant fiance bought a sectional in the beginning of June with a two month delivery time line. Since then the delivery date has been rescheduled three times now. After four months with out a couch Ashley cant find the other half of our sectional and has projected a potential delivery date of December. That is 6+ months after purchasing in full. Terrible service and when you call the store no one answers...

This store is incompetent. I bought a sectional couch, when delivered it had 2 of the same arm facing pieces. Second attempted delivery was the exact same incorrect piece. Third attempted delivery was set up, I called customer service to confirm item to be delivered, and yet again the wrong item would have been sent. I couldn’t get ahold of anyone on the phone who could resolve my problem, I had to go back to the store in person, and wait for 45 minutes to speak with a manager who could help me. I’m still awaiting delivery.Never again will I shop at Ashley Home Store!!!!!
One of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever had with any company, period. First, they will lie to you about the backorder time length to get you to place the order. Then, they wont call you to tell you its not being delivered on the promised date until you call to inquire. Then, they wont confirm when it will even be in stock. Then, when you try to get a refund, theyll tell you they simply cant do that and that if you cancel, youll have to start all over somewhere else, as if they care. Then, after several phone calls in which they are condescending as if youre the one with the problem and after repeatedly demanding a refund, it was finally issued. Never again.

Very poor customer service. Our sales person informed us that our old couches would be taken away when the new ones were delivered. Nearly 6 months later when they delivery shows up we are told that this isnt true. The driver threatened to leave since the couches were not ready and then called ashley corporate stating my wife was yelling at him.When I called customer service to complain I was bounced around several times. I finally had a lady agree to remove the full delivery fee which I agreed to, but stated I still wanted to speak to a supervisor to explain how poor the driver handled things. After being transferred the supervisor told me I would only get half off my delivery fee. NO amount of asking to speak to someone else worked and I was essentially told if I dont take the refund then I would likely end up with nothing.DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

Nothing in stock unfortunately and couldnt sell the floor model. 3 to 8 weeks wait for shipping. I ended going 20 minutes away and found what I needed in stock so I took it home the same day. Please have your sale items in stock. I really wanted to give you my money, but someone else scored it instead.

Dee was awesome! She was super helpful and patient as we were trying to maker our decisions on between loving room sets. She was the first to ask have you been helped and took the reins in helping us make our selection, even offered coloring books to our youngsters. She made sure we were getting the best price as possible and attentive to our questions/needs. Show room and bathrooms all clean.
Honestly one of the best customer service experiences l’ve had in a while. We were immediately greeted upon entering by Chase and he answered all of our questions perfectly. I didn’t feel pressured by him at all, gave us perfect amount of space and continually checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay and looked up every piece of furniture we had questions about! Usually feel uncomfortable when sales people hover over my shoulder.. but honestly had the best experience here. Helped us pick out our perfect couch and ran through every last detail since this was our first time. I’ll 100% come back here for any other furniture needs, but specifically will ask for Chase!! 10/10 service!!

My sales lady Natasha, had to work to make my sale. Because of the pandemic, delivery dates were pushed way out ( two months). After talking to her on the phone and hearing this, I told her I would continue to shop around or wait for a while before making a purchase.Ten minutes after talking to her, she was able to find the dining set I was looking for, with a two week delivery date. She confirmed it with the warehouse and called me back the next day with the confirmed delivery date before having me drive out to make the purchase.Thanks Natasha and Ashley Home Store, I cant wait to get my beautiful dining room set in my dining room.

I have been trying to buy a sofa for over a week at Merrillville location, NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE! WHATS GOING ON ??? I LOVE THIS STORE, BUT I GUESS THEY MUST BE TAKING NAPS ON THE FURNITURE, FINALLY AFTER GETTING IN TOUCH WITH SOMEONE, THEY PROMISED TO CALL ME BACK, NEVER DID! AFTER SO MANY PHONE CALLS, SOMEONE ANSWER AND TRANSFERRED ME TO OTHER PEOPLE, JUST TO SIT AND WAIT AND THEN GET A DIAL TONE. IM SO AGGRAVATED ABOUT THIS, IM A SENIOR and disabled and dont have a way to get around or have time to be given the run around for days. I finally was able to order my sofa TODAY. LOOKS LIKE THE SAME COUCH I WANTED BUT HAS A DIFFERENT ITEM #. NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK. I HOPE I GET MY SOFA SOON. THIS WAS A TERRIBLE ORDEAL. I was transferred to people in Texas, Florida, and Louisiana. The lady in Louisiana took time to explain things and was caring. She was pleasant. She did say the soonest for my delivery was the end og August. I hope its of this year.

We went in and the person greeted us and told us to wave if we needed her. After two rounds of the store and waving, we just could nt spot the person, so we left without any purchase. The setup is similar to other Ashleys with probably some more unique designs. Good place for furniture buying, but just need better customer service. Happy furniture shopping!

We ordered a couch a few months ago and it finally came in. Unfortunately our previous sales person forgot to put the ottoman on our order, so we were forced to go back and order it separately. They compd us with an additional 5% off which was nice, but I wish they could have done more because we are waiting another 3 months for the last piece now. But overall Id say 5 stars for the couch 3 stars for the inconvenience and small comp for a total of 4 stars.

I wouldnt buy here. Reasons: Just had couch set delivered yesterday, I noticed the damage right away and tried to call the store and no answer for hours and hours. I was forced to go to the store and show them the damage and was told I have to email customer service because the manager was on vacation so now I have to do all the running around and leg work to get my brand new couch repaired? That aint right, mind you I just had knee surgery 2 days ago. Would never buy here again and would not recommend.Edit: couch was delivered June 4th and its June 28th. Still not repaired.

He Introduced himself about couple mins after walking in. He kept his distance which was great bc I didn’t feel pressured or anything and was able to take my time and actually look and see what I wanted.

I would recommend that you shop else where, This company is a joke, I purchased my furniture in May and as of August 3 I still have no furniture they told me I would have my furniture in June, On top of that they NEVER even attempted to contact me about any delays, They have no problem taking your money they just have trouble keeping their end of the bargain. NEVER AGAIN WILL I ENTER THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD! I am highly dissatisfied with Ashley Furniture (Merrillville, IN). I called SEVERAL times in hopes to purchase a mattress that I had seen the day before but could not get through to anyone. The phone just rang, rang and rang! I then called a customer service line who emailed my location with my information, in hopes that this store would get back to me but they never did. I went out of town and was trying to pay for this mattress but I could not even get a call back! I then came back from out of town and went into the store to see if the mattress was still there and it wasnt! I then approached a manager sitting at a desk that was actually BY A PHONE that could have been used to call me back on! And when I explained the situation to him, he did not apologize or even try to make the situation right! This could have been an EASY $600 sale but instead, I took my business to Value City where they assisted me in person and OVER THE PHONE! I will not ever fo business with that Ashley Furniture and I will make sure to continue my reviews on other sites about my experience! I just moved into my first apartment and I was really excited to do the rest of my shopping at Ashley but it was ruined by the entire experience of me trying to get the mattress and how that manager treated my complaint at the store!
We went in the store today to buy a new kitchen table and chairs. The new associate Cheryl G. Helped us. She was knowledgeable and nice. If she did not know the answer, she found it out by asking. She was great to work with. The store has plenty of store models to choose from, but because of Covid there is a significant wait time for the product. It’s understandable and is communicated up front before purchase. We are repeat customers and will be back in the future.
