El Pueblito is one the finest Mexican grocery stores in the area. I love how clean the store is and how fresh the produce is every time. I highly recommend this store to all Northwest Indiana. This is a great store!!!!

They need to fix their online hours! Rushed there after work to get there by 8pm which it says online the time they close. Pulled up at 7pm with the open sign flashing but the door locked. This overall is a good place to shop but this wasnt the first this happened to me here with hours. They really need to get these hours of operation in order online, lots of people use the internet nowadays to get operating hours for businesses. Very disappointing when you get somewhere and its not open yet or its closed but online hours say different

I am so glad El Pueblito reopened at a new location. They make the best tamales in the area. They now offer more items made in house in their restaurant. They sell an array of vegetables from Latin American and the Caribbean, and staple foods in bulk. Service is friendly and helpful.

What a bad experience in this store, I came like more than once trying to give them a chance but I won’t come back here, first the tamales are always old, never fresh, and I bought them more than once, the lady!! I believe is the owner or at least she act like that, omg what a bad attitude, if you dont like to work for public service so why are you there? She doesnt answer a question she just barks at you

Been coming here since we moved to the Crown Point/Merrillville area and we come here for their grocery items and after today their tacos. It was our first time dining in their little Taqueria and we were more than pleased. Coming from Chicago its hard to find a good taco joint around the area but today weve found it. I had a taco de Al Pastor and a taco de Carne Asada. I will vote the Al Pastor over the Asada but both were delightfully delicious. I gave it 4 stars only because the corn tortillas used are the smaller sized ones. Other than that, you wont be disappointed. Tacos were $1.99 and came with cilantro and onion. $2.49 for tacos with lettuce, onion, tomatoes, sour cream and cheese. If youre in the area check them out!

Goat meat available at this store. No need to go to Chicago for it. They cut it in small pieces suitable for goat curry. The store has varieties of meat, fresh tamales, mangoes, oranges, bananas and vegetables. The store is clean and the service is courteous.

My every day place to shop! The cashier became a good friend after a bit. She knows how to give right customer service and always reminds me what I may be forgetting with the meal Im going to make! The price on food a bit high. But they got what you need to make a good home cooked meal.

The tacos I got were delicious, very well seasoned and full of mouth watering flavor.The restaurant is very clean and well kept, same for the restroom. Its a very small restaurant and store connected together. The store is very clean and the meat looked fresher than alot of big name grocery stores I go into. The people are very friendly and courteous. The atmosphere alone is worth the 40 minute drive to get here. If you need authentic flavor and ingredients this is the place to come

I like this location better than they last one its pretty bigger and much nicer I like to meat counter they have pretty decent cuts and they also sell goat meat which is good. The Personnel was pretty decent you got to remember its some Mexican grocery store but they do have quality product the prices are a tad bit High for me but for the goat meat I will pay it. But most important all the meat is freshly cut and put in the meat case and if you ask for a specific cut if they have it on hand they will cut it for you. I will most definitely return.

I love this store..never new It was in the location ...close to where I moved to..they have everything you need to prepare an Authentic Mexican meal and the meat is soooooooo FRESH. OH yeah they carry OXTAILS!!!!

Cheap and good. For a good price me and my wife phone the order and pick up in 10 minutes. Hard to find good tacos around. TotsTo are good too, but havent tried anything else.

The restaurant has great food. I love the barbacoa anything. The chips and salsa used to be better, they are not as good now. The rest of the food is still great.

This store started off small with friendly owners. It quickly evolved, getting bigger and more crowded everytime I stopped in to buy groceries, tamales, or carnitas.I have catered them for parties and school events. Everyone in attendance always raves over the food.Their new location has a little restruant inside. The food is good, server is friendly, and everyone is always nice.
