I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about the shop, the owner and the employees. I called in a panic trying to find a way to upgrade my suspension in my brand new truck to haul our 20,000 lb fifth wheel down south for the winter. Not only did Dustin know the best option for what I was looking to do - they made it happen so fast! Melissa was fabulous to talk to on the phone, and was so great to chat with another lady in the know in the car industry! You cannot go wrong having them do work on your vehicle!!!

Well I want to write about another great experience I had at the specialist today. I’ve been going here for years now and it just gets better and better. From talking with Melissa to having my service done it’s just a great experience. I consider them my family. I want to make a special mention about Dave the mechanic. He has worked on my vehicles since I’ve been Going here and he is just extraordinary. He takes the time to explain to you what has been done and just a great person overall. He is extremely extremely knowledgeable and I always enjoy talking with him. I recommend specialist to anyone that wants quality, honesty and just a great experience in having your car or truck repaired. I had extensive bad wiring in my vehicle and, where a less honest mechanic could have just made money off repeat problems, the Specialists gave me an honest opinion and clearly explained what they were doing and why. Melissa even took time to explain some insurance information that I was unclear on. Great people and very much worth the money you spend. Highly recommend them as reliable diesel mechanics.

After 1 mechanic told me I needed a whole new motor for $4K and a second told me I needed a starter for $1K, I went to see Dustin. He gave a honest answer (no motor needed) and didnt gauge me and was more than reasonable for the total cost for the replacement parts.So reasonable that I also brought my truck in immediately for an upgrade on the exhaust system and various other repairs.I should have come here first.

My brother recommended Dustin when I was having difficulty finding someone who code help with a wiring issue that was throwing a false O2 sensor code. I had already been to two other repair shops that gave me an incorrect diagnosis and was frustrated. Dustin found the badly corroded wire quickly and fixed it at a reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend him for service on your vehicle!

I was having some issues with my 2004 Ford F-350 it was idle rough and losing power. I stopped by and talk with Dustin the owner of The Specialist and just got to talking. Great guy, knowledgeable and friendly. Told me I needed to replace my EGR Cooler and start running a fuel additive to help clean up my injectors. Having had any power or idling issues since and didnt get hit with a crazy bill like some of the other quotes I had received. Very happy with my experience, Id highly recommend going there.

Unfortunately as a woman, its never guaranteed you are getting honesty when dealing with cars. After getting a ridiculously high quote right down the road, I went to The Specialists for a second opinion, on a Friday afternoon, an hour before they closed. I was absutely blown away with these guys generosity! Both Dustin & Dennis are extremely genuine and very knowledgable. They went above and beyond to make sure my car was safe to drive over the weekend while they ordered the part to be in by Tuesday. (At a fraction of what the other place said!) The waiting area is EXTREMELY clean compared to the usual mechanic shops. While I was waiting, I overheard them offering to go out of there way to help other customers in solving there car problems too. I will definitely be using The Specialists from now on & I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the merrimack/nashua area.
