This place is awesome as far as extra storage goes! Not too busy, but they’re obviously popular pretty much every door has a lock on it. This is very clean compared to other experiences I’ve had with storage, and everything we have in there for the past few months has stayed completely dry and hasn’t developed any funny smells. From the location, convenience, and property cleanliness I’d give them 5 stars all around.

It was super easy to sign up online for my storage unit ! we arrived gate was open so we went in to our unit opened unit had a lock on the floor for us, Which made it nice that I didnt have to go buy one!! when we was leaving g we realized we didnt have a code to get out of the gate called the # and explained what happened and didnt have a code and the gentleman a spoke to was so nice.. he came up from riding around checking units to help us but by this time I had found the email with the access code and he explained about using it and getting in and out!! Thank you Extra Storage for being amazing!!?

So far my experience has been easy and great! We are moving within a few days and didn’t realize we would need a storage unit to hold the rest of our things while being in between houses right now. So it has been hectic with 3 adults, 3 kids (ages 5,11, &13), a large dog, and 2 cats. I called the main number for Merrimack and the women on the phone was super pleasant and helpful, was able to hold the unit I needed (in less than a week) was very informative and didn’t mind all the questions and also making things fast and easy was able to send me the documents to sign by email immediately. I then got a call from someone else a couple of days before I would need to have everything signed to make sure the unit was held for me for my move in date and he went through the break down of pricing and asked me a few simple questions, took down my payment information and got me booked. With everything being so hectic, having them send texts, emails and follow up calls made things fast and super easy. Again, both the people I spoke to were extremely nice and informative and answered every question. We will be checking out the unit tomorrow at some point but everything so far has been great. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for storage. It was also comforting to know that it was only 16 a month to insure all items that would be in my unit from pretty much anything and that included pest control as well.

Great location off of the highway. The gate process is easy to use and hours of accessibility are fair. Units are clean, few exterior lights need replacing. The team was very helpful with pro-rating a few extra days on to my account. I would rent here again.

4 stars if you happen to be a short term customer. ESS is competitive for the first 6 months then lookout.ZERO stars if you are looking long term like a year plus. Constant rate hikes. Mandatory unit insurance. And if you check their specials compared to the unit you rented, you might be paying double.I was a long term customer renting a 5x5 unit, I started out $39 a month plus 10 a month for insurance and a couple years later I was paying $88 a month plus $11 for insurance for a grand total just shy of a $100/month for a 5x5 unit.I realized that I could have entered into a rent to own for a larger shed by Reeds Ferry Lumber for less than I was paying for a 5x5 unit at ESS.Ross, the manager, seems like a nice man and I understand that he does not set the rates and his professionalism is the only reason why Im giving ESS in Merrimack 2 stars.Again, ESS is great for short term situations, but youre best looking elsewhere for anything long term.

I had a great experience purchasing my lease from Extra Space Storage! I was dreading having to spend time trying to find space & going through the lease all while moving, but after a quick Google search I found extra space, the sign up process was quick & totally seamless! Right after I got done signing the lease i received a call from some who actually works at the property I am renting from. I received all the directions, how to get in, where to go, and even how to cancel!VERY customer friendly! I would recommend to anybody!

I decided to store my car this winter. With severe arthritis, I was not able to deal with snow removal .After researching several storage facilities in my area ( Merrimack, NH), I decided on Extra Space Storage .This was one of the best decisions that I ever made. The rental process was easy, rates are very reasonable and the managers are absolutely wonderful, friendly people who will do anything to help their customers.The facility is gated and...the best part was the flexibility of the rental contract.Being local, I was able to ride out the snowstorms with my car safely tucked away..then pick it up for use in good weather.I would never use any other storage facility.There are no negatives at Extra Space Storage.

The people at the facility have all been very helpful and accommodating.The company itself has no problem raising the rent yearly by as much as 20%. If you happen to be a long distance away and are unable to retrieve your goods as in my case, the rent tripled in 10 years. From around $100 to $322. However, new customers get a much better deal than the people who are renting.Poor policy in my opinion. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Everything went so smoothly. I was able to sign up, pay and sign all the lease documents electronically online. They emailed me and texted me all my unit info and gate code and my lock was waiting in the unit. I was able to move some of my things in the same afternoon. Then they called me the next day to see if I had any questions. I highly recommend this storage facility!

No BS Storage facility. I had to store my 97 Harley Davidson Dyna Convertible and my 82 Honda Ascot FT500 in a jiff and these guys came in clutch. I went to sleep every night they were there knowing that they are in a safe surveillance area under a roof. Also gave me a complimentary lock. I got the online 10x10 unit for around 90$ a month and I don’t regret it one bit. ONLY reason I’m not using them any more is because I found somewhere closer to me to store my bikes, a family friend where I won’t have to pay as much. Would DEFINITELY go back here if needed, no hesitation whatsoever.

My grandmother had her late husbands and familys memorabilia stored in a unit here. Her unit and several others were broken into and many items of priceless sentimental value were stolen, leaving her completely heartbroken. The Merrimack PD is investigating, but even in 2020 there are no cameras in the parking lot, so no one knows what the thieves looked like or how many there might have been. I also witnessed the receptionist dispose of possible evidence someone found on the floor of their unit which had also been ransacked. Choose a company that actually cares enough to put security cameras up to watch over your stuff - not this one!

Easy access and great rates

Just had a break in at over 50 units in Merrimack, NH and...they have no security footage? What kind of storage facility has no security cameras in this day and age? Apparently Extra Space makes a lack of security standard practice because a quick search shows break-ins at this brand of facility in Charlotte, Atlanta, and other Extra Space facilities with the same pattern. No cameras, lax security that was oversold to customers. Might as well put your stuff under a tarp in the back yard.

One of Merrimack’s best kept secrets. there’s a huge area out in back of the office where they have over two- hundred storage units. The girl in the office was most helpful and made my transition from selling my house to moving to a condo so much easier. Accessible until 10 o’clock at night, always plowed and I would definitely rent from them again. They called me a day ahead to avoid a late payment fee. They even prorated my seven days into the next payment period so I didn’t have to pay for the whole month when I left.Steve

Clean and safe but....once youre in they keep raising rates....every six months or so....I started at under a hundred internet rate and am now up to $213 a month....they say its what the market is....bull....very expensive but am not well enough to go through another move....

He is extremely patient., willing to answer any question that you have. And has a great personality for this job. The facility is in a great location in Merrimack. It is very easy to enter the facility using your code. You drive right up to the front of. Your storage unit and It is. Very simple. Nothing Fancy, no bells and whistles just fantastic place to store your stuff.

After 2 weeks on the road cross country we were desperately in need of a place to store our cargo trailer. After 2 hrs of unsuccessful phone calls to many storage facilities we finally connected with Sue and she went above and beyond to help us. Her warm and welcoming smile and very prompt check was a blessing to us. The facility is extremely clean & well maintained, very secure and easy to find off the hwy. We highly recommend this business and are so glad to have our worldly belongings under their watchful eye.

The rental process was simple and with early and late hours access I’ve had no problems making use of it. But more importantly I ended up with more stuff than fit in my unit, and needed an immediate rental of a second unit – which they accommodated on the spot. The facility is meticulously cared for and the staff is vigilant and courteous. We neglected to close one of our locks once and received a phone call to notify us!

Were renting a 10x20 unit for a few months. I was able to reserve the space on line and get a substantial discount over the walk-in rate. Sue made the process pretty straight forward and provided all of the details. I was able to preview the unit and do all of the paperwork in around 30 minutes. So far... so good!It is worth knowing that there is a one time $24 admin fee and also that insurance is required. There are packages starting at $11/month for $2,000 coverage. The max is $10,000 with $0.00 deductible.

They made several attempts to contact me (I was out of town) to notify me that my card was not going through. I was thankful for their diligence and for the 5 day grace period. It appears based on the location that its not at risk for water issues (flooding) and secure (fences all the way around, lights, cameras, etc)

I have rented a unit here in the past, based on a recommendation from my sister who was familiar with the business. Roger and Joyce are always friendly, helpful, take the time to address a customers needs and are always pleasant to deal with.My mother is moving in from out of state and is temporarily storing her household items till she is settled. I recommended this place to her and she is glad that I did. She stated that she has never dealt with nicer people and feels confident that her belongings are stored at the right property. Prices are always very competitive plus signing up and moving in her stuff was effortless. Will definitely use this storage facility in the future!

We rented a parking space with Extra Space Storage, and we could not have been happier with their service. We felt safe and secure with our belongings there, and the employees were always friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. Payments were hassle-free, as they have an automatic payment system in place. If we need storage again in the future, we would definitely choose them in a heartbeat.

We found Extra Space Storage in Merrimack on a whim during a time that we needed it most!We went and scheduled an appointment to get a quote for the unit for the month of December and met with a gentleman by the name of Roger. I cant express how pleased we were with their customer service. Roger was extremely helpful with our situation and the company was hosting a special on the units. They were very nice and their rates were without a doubt very reasonable.The storage units themselves are securely gated and can only be accessed by those you grant access to on your unit plus the personal passcode you receive. They also have a respectful curfew to accessing the storage units which was comforting. The hours of operation were very rational and made us feel reassured that our belongings were safe. All of the units were extremely clean and in tact, our unit was well taken care of and our belongings werent harmed or damaged in anyway.I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for additional storage!

I started off at a great price. They raise the price over and over and over. I have gone from $86 to $130 something in just a couple years. Once they know they have you and that it will be hard for you to move they gouge you. If you are doing this short term you will be fine but I expected to be short term too.
