My bagel was the size of a silver dollar pancake and there was hardly any cream cheese on it. Go to Bagel Nosh on Cooper and Warner. Theyre 100 times better than this Einstein.

Avoid this location if possible. I put in a mobile order and arrived around 5 minutes later. I purchased two fresh orange juices while I waited for my order, and let them know I had just placed an order to which I thought they acknowledged. I sit and wait for around 8 more minutes no issue but people behind me begin to get their order prior to my mobile order. I finally take it upon myself to ask, and I’m told it was made awhile ago and “over there” behind the other counter…why have I been staring at the mobile order shelf if it’s going to sit behind the counter…this alone didn’t bother me…what bothered me was I just ordered from a different location the exact same order and they were completely normal, but at this location the bagels are the size of mini bagels from Pepperidge farms…seriously I’m paying 8$ for 2 mini plain bagels!? They were friendly but need better management. A loyal customer to this brand but will not be returning to this location

This is are stop for Bagels great customer service, very clean outdoor patio & inside. Fresh Bagels 🥯 we got the box for $16.23 my kids love there spread. We make are own bagel sandwiches at home and the kids make bagel pizzas. Thumbs up 👍 for Einstein Bros Bagels 🥯

The BEST customer service! Yesterday I ordered on my app and picked up my order. It wasnt until I got to work I figured out they gave me the wrong item. Fortunately for me, it was something I would still eat, and did...lol. I called the store to let them know what happened and Robert answered my call. He said to come in the next day and he would replaced my order (including a coffee cake that I ordered separately after arriving, that there was noting wrong with).Fast forward to this morning. Went in and Robert happened to be on the register. He gave me exactly what I ordered yesterday AND the coffee cake. So, since I didnt have to pay today, I thought I would treat myself to a Latte. I told Robert that I wanted to get the coffee, but would pay for it separately. He wouldnt let me. He took care of that as well because I had to come back (which I probably would have anyways even if yesterday didnt happen). So very nice and unexpected of him.Then I spoke with Michelle at the other register where I waited for my food. Very sweet lady and great customer service as well. She has helped me in the past when I accidentally ordered something on the app that I needed to set to be pick up later, but it ended up doing asap. I called and got Michelle. I told her what I had done, that it was my first time ordering on the app, and I was an idiot and ordered something to be made now, but wouldnt be there for like an hour. She said it was already made, but she said to just let her know when I got there and that she would have it remade for me. She didnt have to do that because it was my mistake, but she was so kind to do it.So....very two long stories short, the absolute above and beyond customer service from BOTH of these employees. You guys are lucky to have them working for you!!! Thank you both again for taking such great care of me!

I come here all the times but will probably stop for a while.Waited 45 minutes for 3 plain bagels that I placed ahead of time via their app. They had a ton of plain bagels when I arrived, but they were bought up by people in the store after I had already placed my order. It’s an awful system.After 40 minutes I just wanted my money back. The lady lied to me and said she couldn’t do that via the store, I’d have to use the app. Guess what? There’s no way to do it via the app!I get that they were busy, but their main manager looked like a deer in the headlights behind the counter.

I love their breakfast sandwiches! they make them fresh to order here and their app ordering system is super quick and clean so I can order ahead it makes my mornings go by much more smoothly I just walk in grab my stuff and go. Oh and my goodness their Coffee is fantastic its definitely not that sawdust riddled sludge they serve at other places.

Don’t use their delivery service it you’ll end up like me having 50+ employees leaving the job site hungry because their food never showed up. I’ll never use this place again and I’ll be sure to let everyone know to stay away from here!

The staff is courteous and attentive, which is a lot to ask of anyone early in the morning. The highlight of what they serve is in the name; their bagels and creams cheeses are the most flavorful and tasty items on their menu. Their coffees, drinks, and other food items are sub-par in comparison.

Food tasted great, service was nice, tables super dirty, and got our order wrong, noticed while paying, cashier went and told them and when we got our bagels they were still wrong🤦‍♀️

Managers that dont know how to make half the menu or how to ring up the right items ordered. Then after I paid noticed the item was wrong and more expensive than what I wanted, then manager didnt know how to refund on a debit. Needless to say wont be coming back. Edit : been 3 months since i contacted them still no response 🤣 no suprise

A quick breakfast on the run. Bagels seem to be getting smaller but still taste great.

Order curbside but it’s not really curbside because you have to go into the store to get your stuff. Ordered toasted and didn’t get toasted. Nobody even looks at you when you walk in the store, no greeting of acknowledgment, nothing. Very poor service

It was good but it seemed strange they were cleaning up to close when they were open for another 1.5 hours...I found that strange and rather putting off

Im giving this 3 stars because the food we got was good. But I would barely give the experience 1-2 stars. We werent really greeted when we came to the counter to order. We asked if a latte could be substituted for the coffee in a combo for an upcharge, and the lady responded with, I dont know, and just left it at that. We had to ask if she could ask someone. (It apparently cant be just so you know) Then, while I was still ordering she interrupted me twice to ask the name for the order. All the employees seemed to be in their own little world. Then while I was getting my coffee, an employee came out of the back with baking trays, AND not wearing a mask. Not that it was just pulled down, but no sign of a mask in sight. Im sad because I love the food at Einsteins, but Im not going to be coming back to this location, will be driving a little further.

My first time to Einstein Brothers bagels. Their coffee and food was great but the time it took getting in waiting to be served and then waiting for our food was ridiculous. I understand with covid things are different now but it shouldnt take me an hour to get two bagels and two coffees.

Very pleasant the bagels were the best Ive had in a long time also the clerk was very helpful with my order and joining the Smear Society

Had the nastiest bagel from this location today.Didn’t think a bagel sandwich could be that bad.Used to be my go to breakfast spot approx 2 years ago.

I would have given 5 stars, however after we had ordered we were making our coffee and the medium roast pot leaked onto my aunt and gave her a really good 2nd degree burn. I tried to tell the cashier that it was leaking but she ignored me. A customer tells you that they were burnt by your coffee pot you dont just walk away?? Very unprofessional.

Good food. A change of pace from normal fast food restaurants. Found the Santa Fe breakfast sandwich with egg whites is delicious. I am watching my calories on this diet and normally eat a 500 calorie breakfast so it fits right in that wheelhouse at 450 calories.

Had the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich on a pretzel bagel, with the fruit cup. It was very good!

When I was filling my soft drink the lady behind me accidentally took my order and left. When we figured out what happened the server was so rude and acted like it was my fault. Nobody needs a hard time in the morning.

Im not sure I would call these real bagels like I would get back East but they are round.

I stopped in and was worried Id add an extra 15 minutes or so to my commute into work. However, the service was so fast and efficient I ended up earlier than usual. Even as more people were coming in, it never built into a backed up line as I was there. Fresh bagels, good coffee, excellent service. Definitely will be going back.

They were really disorganized. I placed a mobile order and STILL had to wait about an hour for my food. No joke. Placed order at 8:30 and picked up at 9:23. My toasted bagel was cold.

The staff here were friendly and the bagels are always amazing. Perfect place to stop and get breakfast before work or running errands. Will definitely be back whenever Im in the area for a quick, great tasting breakfast

Very nice Bagel place, I especially like their sugar cookie. Very tasty and not over done. My tuna sandwich was nice, although the bagel was a bit over toasted. The power bagels looked to be too well done, but you often see that :(

This location seems to be under new management over the last year. It has gotten so much better during this time. We went this morning, got 3 bagels and a side of egg and it was all ready before my husband even got to the cash register! And everything was done perfectly! Nice job!!

My hot chai was not hot. My toasted bagel was cold. I asked for light butter and it was dripping off the sides. Things changed with last manager change. That guy even remembered our names. Disappointing changes.Also a lady brought her dog (not a medical dog) inside and no one said anything.Wont be back.By the way, the womens toilet doesnt flush.

Busy, but badly in need of a remodel. Also, if you havent been there in a while, their coffee cups have decreased in size significantly. Finally, the guy working the register had on food handler gloves, taking payments, then returned to make orders. Nice!

They NEVER EVER seem to have blueberry bagels and everytime I asked if theyll make more or if they made any more in the back the employee that takes orders says were just out and quite frankly looks like he doesnt give a damn. This particular location will never have my business again. EVER.

Poor service and man this store needs a good cleaning.The vent in front of the cooler was caked with dust and crud. The register screen i wiped with my shirt so dirty.The girl working was just standing there not cleaning. I pointed out the vent and she just shrugged like what am i supposed to do.

Ive been in Mesa for a week and have gone here everyday. Im upset I dont have this place at home. You must try it. Best bagels I have every had. The French toast breakfast sandwich is where its at. They have very good lattes as well. Cant wait to come back just to come back here. As for others saying they were ignored. I didnt get that. They do get busy but its not their fault their bagels are awesome. Place was very clean as well.

Great tasty bagels but just not worth the wait. There was a long line and the people were working like crazy but it just felt stressful in there. The workers did their jobs pleasantly and as quickly as they could but they really need better efficiency and/or more hands to handle the morning crowd. I dont have that kind of time to wait so I will be going elsewhere for breakfast.

Great place to go for coffee and bagels. Place is packed but never had to deal with long wait times. Recommend it to anyone who wants to get a fresh bagel.

Im only giving 4 stars because they were out of several kinds of bagels and out of a couple flavors of cream cheese. I went in before noon on a Saturday and really was shocked they werent better stocked and the person who bakes the bagels was not in at the time. I did get great service and a delicious coffee drink.

Was here two days in a row. Service was a little slow the second day, but they seemed to be short staffed. Food was still pretty quick, and it was delicious!

I love the bagels, but at this store today, there were 2 young workers and they ignored me for a long time. There was trash all over the floor when you first walk in behind the counter, which is hard to miss. Then one of the girls was taking rubber gloves out of the box and just throwing them on the floor. Backs to me and not even acknowledging me at all when they just saw me come through the door.This store needs better management.

Walked in and the entire place was filthy. Food was all over the floor, tables and chairs. There were boxes visibly out in the open for customers to see making it look even more sloppy. After ordering, our food came out fairly quickly. The same wasnt to be said about our coffee, which took about another 5 min. THE COFFEE WASNT EVEN WARM!!! My mother and I both had to pour out some of the coffee we ordered and added hot coffee that was out on the counter. The employees all looked miserable and stood around doing nothing while customers were waiting for them to figure out what do do with themselves. My mother and I drove much out of our way to come here and it was such a lack luster experience Im leaving this review while still sitting in the store! Its a guarantee that I will never come back again and it has by far been the WORST breakfast and coffee experience Ive had to put up with. Good work Einsteins.

Yesterday was the last try Im giving this location. Love, love, love Einsteins but this location has got to change its management or risk losing customers permanently - always seems dirty, employees could care less, my order was wrong (discovered when driving home, I wasnt going back again). Other Einstein locations are a night and day difference, this one - might be time to close it up.

Cinnamon sugar bagle with cream cheese is dang good! They call it shmear. I always go to say that but I feel weird saying it. So I say can I get a cinnamon sugar bagle with shm.... Cream cheese. Thankshm.

They often get my order wrong. Today was once too often which is the reason for the 2 star rating. Too late to take it back after I get home. Im not asking for anything weird just a toasted bagel with butter how hard could it be? More often they get my name wrong. Joe??? Maybe they are just not listening. Everything else would earn them 3 stars which is about their average rating. They could be cleaner, nicer and more concerned about getting an order right.

Was out of my bagel but it was late in the day sho understandable. Good coffee now with caribou. Gave me heavy whipping cream on request.

Food is good. The atmosphere is horrible. This is the loudest place I can remember. It’s almost like I’m at a bar yelling to have a conversation. Wonder if they are trying to get you to leave. Turn the music down and keep the constant banging down or do it in the back. Just my two cents!

Husband and I Waited for about 10min being ignored by three girls who gathered in the cash register...while also being ignored by two employees walking by...finally a girl approached us (but a phone call was more important than us)...ending asking us rudely “what can I get you” and YES! I AM THE LADY WHO LEFT TELLING YOU, YOUR SERVICE STINKS!!!!Visit the Einstein in ValVista and Guadalupe and learn customer service from them!!!!!

First time here. Love the bagels. Coffee drinks are too sweet for my taste. Check out girl just stood behind the counter, when I approached her there was an uncomfortable silence until I asked her should I pay?...ooor?Her response was...sure...if you want me to start making your drink.

Typical bagel shop...with bagels...good service. Good food. Not really much else to say. If you have never had ot before definitely recommend tyring them you wont be disappointed!

An older place but the bagels were good.

.Used to love this place, but nationwide they are miss or hit. Never consistent from one location to the next. Im a fan of blueberry and cranberry and sometimes powerbagels but yet every time I go they cooked at a different finish or undercooked or overcooked or dry to the bone. Cmon guys, where is the consistency. Surely a recipe is just not that hard to follow

The next closest Einsteins always screwed up my to go orders... this one is always concise. I love this chain and always get BlackBerry lemonade. I was also pleasantly surprised with their chai tea latte, it actually has good spice to it, more authentic than other cafes.

Actually terrible. Half the people here are the greatest defeatists in attempting social acceptableness in Mesa and the other half are their toddlers. The entire staff looks like the cast of One Flew Out of the Cuckoos Nest minus the personality, who in aggregate cant hear orders over how ridiculously loud it is. I dont know if it correlates to the mismanagement but there was one person that looked suicidally depressed and another that was full on crying. If this restaurant contributes anything it might be as a bird feeder—there are always a few birds either drinking the water leaking from the walls or eating the molding crumbs perpetually on the ground.

Have had problems at the location before. Management sucks and employees are always extremly rude and unhelpful, especially in a rush. Love Einstein, hate this location.

Not bad, always fresh. Last 3 visits they havent had any pumpernickel, I know... not a typical choice but if its what my wife wants we go elsewhere now.

I wanted to get bagels this morning to take to work and the sign says they open at 5 which was perfect since I go to work at 530. So I was there at 5, waited for awhile and then someone finally opened the door. The lady said she couldn’t open the store alone and no one else was there. This is very unprofessional and inconsiderate of other people’s time. If you’re supposed to open at 5, open at 5!

Good service, good food. Long wait, though. Would have given 5 stars if they told us about the wait.

Staff is always very polite. Today was busy. I ordered a medium oj and the customers before took all but 1...a large. The staff gave it to me at no extra charge and apologized for the wait. Its the little things that count!

They started closing a hour early and did not have bagels and were unable to make eggs.

Disappointed in the staff. First the guy taking the orders was clueless when I asked him a question about the menu and only when I asked if he could find out (since he told me he didnt know) did he ask someone else. Once I got my order and went to the cashier, she was full of attitude and seemed like she hated her job. The bagels are great though, but thats about all.

They have a great variety of bagels, cream cheese, & sandwiches. My favorite is egg, cheese & turkey sausage on an ancient grains bagel.

This store SUCKS!In the last month, we have walked in, and immediately walked out as they NEVER have bagels. There were 4 kinds there today. I actually had to ask if they made bagels there. The customer service sucks too. I have almost jumped over the counter on a few occasions.We have to keep driving further to the Einstein Bagel on Val Vista. That store is GREAT.When we went in today, we talked about how bad the other store is, and almost every employee has said they hear that about the Gilbert store all the time. Then another customer heard us, and she said she lives right next to the Gilbert store and has to drive to the Val Vista one too because of how bad this store is. She mentioned that she even complained to a Regional Manager. So she gave me the Regional Managers info.BOTTOM LINE. If you like Einstein Bagels. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. They say they make bagels, but they dont. The employees are rude, inconsiderate and could care less what you think.DO NOT GO HERE.

Liked this place a lot. While nothing compares to a Nausua county long island bagel I really liked this place and the price. Service was good atmosphere was nice. Though set up for ordering and payment was backwards and poorly designed I otherwise have nothing but good things to say. Compare to Chompys way overpriced lox with a shmear .

Went in and they had none of the items I came for. After I noticed they were out of what I had I asked the baker if he could make more he got rude and snappy and proceeded to say this is all your gonna get were not making more so if you want something pick something that we have I asked him why this is the 3rd time in a row Ive came and they have not have what I wanted. I asked if they could possibly make more in the morning if they run out by the time I come for my food. He got more upset and told me to step outside with him. Once he threatened me and told me to step out I said lets step out then, come outside with me and he turned arouns and keot repeating lets step out bro. Like if your gonna sit here and tell me to come out with you.. Im a gosh darn paying customer. Absolutely most horrible experience of my life. Do not ever come to this run down garbage poor excuse of a breakfast joint.. you will highly regret it. I cant believe the employee has not been terminated yet. Will never be back. Going to the one off Williams field.

Sat next to the counter, my name was never called. I heard Jim’s order called more than 10 times. Waited about 30 minutes, and when I asked the employee about my order he rudely blamed me that I didn’t hear it and stated that someone else had picked up my order. I watched two different customers eat their meals and leave in the time it took for me to get my order. My order was bland and soggy. We won’t be returning to this location, or likely another Einstein Bros, in the future.

Great food not great service.

This location has terrible customer service. The cashiers are rude, do not greet you, and appear annoyed to take your order. We were also bothered by the fact that the cashier would not hand my husband his credit card and receipt but instead put them on the counter and my husband had to reach over to grab his card and receipt. Was it because we are a Black couple, I do not know but would not rule it out. It was curious that the next three couples she handed them their cards and receipts. I would recommend going else where for your bagel needs.

I love the food, but because of the rude and disrespectful lil b@$&! At the register with mulitcoloted hair I will never return to that store. She felt she could choose which of her customers she would wait on allowing two others to come along and be waited on first, and when asked about it coped an attitude like we were out of line for speaking up. Well heres what that gets you a bad review Im sure your manager appreciates that.

I usually come in here and have the same attitude problem with a girl that has red hair and glass I believe her name starts with an A. The store always smells like weed and I’ve seen people outside in the back smoking marijuana. I have no problem with smoking weed, but there is a time and place to do so. This upsets me so much because I’ve been coming here for awhile now and it’s just gone to the dump!

This place is absolutely awful. Horrible food, coffee is trash, and it took 30 mins to make one bagel and had cheese on it which I told them 4 times I am allergic. Honestly I wouldnt send my worst enemy here.

I g9 to this location all the time on the weekends... today I visited and was very disappointed. They were having a problem with their fountain drink machine... I asked for a glass of water but was told I could buy a water instead. I did not want to buy a bottle. I sat down and waited for my name to be called. After 5 other people got their food who ordered after me... I finally asked about our order and left. I will not go back to this location during the week.... wow!

The bagels were delicious. The stores entrance was very dirtyBagels and trash were on the floor. Not sure Ill visit this store again.
