These people have had me spend my whole day waiting on them and then call and cancel three times now ! Like my time means nothing …. The first time they came they had nothing they needed to do the job with, when they already knew what was needed, so left and reschedule, then canceled multiple times after having me take off work & wait all day .. this is soo unprofessional and disrespectful.. I have never left a bad review in my life but this has been an awful experience .I hope they do something to make it right…
Wow, Ive never written a google review in my life, but I was just visited by a technician from this company. He talked about the service and I politely thanked him and said I already have a system through my insurance company. He started asking me all sorts of questions, what system, which company, which insurance company. I told him a few times I wasnt interested, but he kept going. So then I just started closing the door and the guy snorted at me loudly and walked away. I shouted after him hey did you just snort at me guy, no answer, kept walking. Hey ADT, if youre going to solicit, start by first firing arrogant employees who cant behave.
Their door to door sales people were presumptuous and behaved more like the bad guys the sales people said they were out taking care of. They came to my security door and spoke with my kids before addressing me. One gentleman introduced himself then asked for my name. I didnt ask for him to come to my door. I didnt ask for a consultation. You have no right to ask of anything, including my name, from me. Told them twice I was making dinner and he still asked to come in! No offer of coming back at a better time. He asked if anyone else had been by from ADT. I said no. He said, Im sorry. We must have been out getting the bad guys. ADT does not get the bad guys. They call the people who do. Dont over sell yourselves. You never know with whom you are speaking. My father, uncle and grandmother are retired officers. Be careful who you try to scare into purchasing your services. Should I find I need security services beyond what I have now, it will not be with ADT.
I called to get a quote on a security system. I told them I was undecided, but I would let them know. They told me they couldn’t lock in my deal without a credit card number. I told them I didn’t feel comfortable providing that because I didn’t want to be charged for anything before I made a decision. They assured me nothing would be charged until the day of installation. I still pushed back not trusting them and they made a lot of promises. Long story short they charged my card, I caught it before we even got off the phone so I called them on it. They said they would figure it out and left me on hold for over an hour. I hung up and called back and told them to cancel my appointment and refund my money. The next day I get a confirmation email, so I email them and tell them to cancel my appointment and refund my money. Three days later still no refund, so I called again. They assured me it was cancelled and they would refund my money. I gave it another two days and still no refund. Luckily I can dispute the charge, but still absolutely ridiculous. Yes I’m the idiot who gave into their sales tactic, but when I’ve asked for a cancelation and refund three times now it definitely should have been done.
We have had a terrible experience with ADT. We signed a contract with our last home and had them for 4 years and were fairly happy. When we moved we were forced to sign a new contract. We were paying the same amount, but no longer had the same features as our last home including a much older system, and no video surveillance for our front door. We were under the impression that we would get the same features we had at our last home. Nope. We would need to pay more. Because we signed the new contract we are locked in with an inferior system. Dont get scammed dont waste your money. Counting down the days until we no longer have to pay this greedy company.
They were very professional but personable. The one man was being trained and although you could tell he was a little nervous he did a good job. Everything was explained and we felt very comfortable with their assessment of our home. When they said they personally would come change batteries, that was the type of service I did not expect but really like.
Our tech, Martin, was a true professional. He showed up well within the quoted time, was very personable, and very knowledgeable. Martin took time to explain everything to us and walked us through many of the setups that we were unfamiliar with. He was an excellent example of customer service which is too often lacking now.
Do not recommend using ADT and Im deaf me not trust. They came out its called the system and for the 1st few weeks it was going fine but my alarm or randomly go off. They set out a technician I come to find out its because they didnt remove the old system that the previous owner had installed. The technician solution was the remove the sensors from the one window that went off but left all the others so they system continue to go off. I went around I remove all the remaining sensors from the old system and the alarm still goes off. When I called them and told them I wasnt impresses and that I wanted to cancel my services they told me I had to pay the remaining 75% of the contract balance. Im sorry but if your systems flawed And you expect me to pay because of it then you are a terrible company, I will not be recommending and I will be canceling as soon as possible.
Quick and efficient service from initial call to activation! Installation a breeze and no hidden fees. There were many options to choose from that we were able to customize to our needs. . Wish I called sooner!
Scam Scam Scam do not let them in your house.They tell you its 27.99 and have you sign a contract and have you pay 53.99Getting a lawyer to put these scammers out of business.They offer you a Visa card and make it impossible for you to get the money. When I went to talk to someone about how much I was paying they said to read the fine print.They are a third party so then you are passed on to the actual Adt company and they are aware of these third party companies who are the scammers but by then you are stuck in this contract. Go and look at all the bad reviews on the Better business Bureau.i wish I would have done that.I would be ok if they would honor the 27.99 but I have not got anywhere with this company.
The installer was very knowledgeable and very professional. He answered any questions I had and gave several options. It was all done and activated within 2 hours of arrival.. good expierience..
Scheduling an installation was easy and service tech was on time, thorough and professional. He even stopped by after the installation to ensure that we were comfortable and understood our system.
Do not sign up with ADT. After you signed the contract, you are treated so unimportantly and the customer service is horrible. Only less than a week into my brand new contract with them, I had issues with two sensors that always indicate openeven though the doors are closed appropriately. Also the initial installation left me a motion sensor on a desk which should be mounted on the wall. So I called and was told someone would contact me in 24-48 hours. After some confusion and miscommunication and finally had an appt set up on a day I was told was the only day so I ended up taking time off work. After waiting at home all day today no one showed. I called and the lady was so inpatient and told me she can re-schedule me in about a week. My frustration took over and asked to speak with a supervisor. She said there was no one. She can email her supervisor but she cant guarantee if I will ever get a call back. I told her I want to cancel the service because it sucks. She said just pay the 70% penalty you can get out. I was so mad. What kind of customer service is this? I am going to advise anyone that I know on all my social media sites to NOT buy any ADT associated security service because it is not the high standard service they promise at the time they try to make you buy. Not mentioning the thousands of dollars of products they try to sell you at the installation. So glad I didnt spend that much. But I am stuck in a 3 yr contract with 50 dollars each month out of pocket for such horrible service!!!
Customer Service misrepresented costs and equipment to be provided under their promotion. I am considering getting in touch with the Department of Cosumer Affairs. The installation of my system was excellent. The installer was knowledgeable and professional. Tried to rectify the mispresentations of the sales staff.
If I could give less than 1 Star I would. They lied to us about the installation cost. Lied to us about the monthly charge. Lied to us when we called to complain by saying they would credit our account yet we still got charged. And now they won’t return our phone calls and give us the run around. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with.
The installer was great. He had a lot of information that the phone guy did not tell us. We were a bit confused and overwhelmed, but we talked it out and ended up with a great experience.
Overall, the sales representative and technician have been friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I have not had experience with response time to alarms or customer service/experience, so I cannot address those issues.
