Me and my friend decided to do a plant-based journey for about a month, decided to check this place out since it’s 100% vegan.I ordered the squawker buffalo ranch sandwich and it was delicious, I do however have some suggestions:The texture from the chicken was actually pretty good I appreciated that, the only thing is that it had almost like a sweet floral taste which I did not like very much but it was very faint and palatable. I just wish there was a little bit more chikn on my sandwich it felt really thin. The ranch was amazing with the buffalo, beautifully done and the sourdough was perfectly crunchy and delicious.I got the potato salad and was not a big fan, I wish they would’ve used the ranch that they used on the sandwich in the potato salad, less dill and whatever that sour bitter taste is take that taste away completely, maybe add some black olives :)The pumpkin pie latte had no flavor unfortunately or body I got the oat milk, had to ask for more sweetener. (I would not get this again)I will be trying other things from this menu πŸ’š

I really like this coffee shop since it only offers mylk options. The iced latte is very tasty with the praline syrup. They recently got rid of soy milk, which is disappointing, but the oat milk is a decent substitute.

Update: They dont serve the Southwest sandwich on bagels anymore - which isnt nearly as good. Also, I wish they added tofu, veggies or a balancing sauce to the new recipe because the chorizo has become very overpowering. The specialty coffees has dropped in quality too. Very disappointed.

First time visiting. The iced oat milk latte was good. The service was very poor and it was a frustrating experience. Stood there for over 15 minutes waiting for my order. It seemed like they messed up the order and had to remake it. No apology, no sense of urgency or respect for their customers time. Dang. Really wanted to like this place.

First time visiting this coffee shop today and I really enjoyed it! Its a nice spot to come in and chill in a calm atmosphere. The service was great. Went in for drinks, but they were out of most of what we wanted, so we just ended up getting mimosas. Didnt eat anything, but noticed that everything is plant-based (which is a plus). Ill definitely come back and visit again if Im in the area!

Absolutely wonderful, local downtown Mesa coffee shop and Eatery. We appreciate that many of the items were vegan. We are not necessarily vegan ourselves, but do appreciate it can be a healthy way to eat for some people. We ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese, two cups of specialty tea including vanilla chai with almond milk, and their sweet potato and vegan bacon bagel. Both of these items were excellent. The tea was served nice and hot and the staff here were friendly and accommodating. More of us need to support locally owned and independently-run businesses, and we are glad to support the Nile Coffee House in downtown Mesa. Five star rating!

The food here is just okay. Meaning that the dishes seem adequate but uninspired. The faux chicken from my tofu scramble was utterly bland. I think a tofu scramble should have some sauteed veggies in it, rather than being placed on top of cold spinach and topped with cold tomatoes. All in all, kinda meh.

The Nile coffee shop food menu is all vegan. Ive had three burritos, there, of different types- all good. I think that right now there is no take-in sitting, but there are some outdoor tables on the main street side walk. I have to ask them if they are vegan every time, because the burritos include chicken and bacon, ham, but they are vegan equivalents, if a meet eater would ever think thats possible. If you arent vegan but want to try vegan thats the perfect place to get meal with bacon. Live long and B12. Cheers

This place is more about a philosophical statement than about good food. Green tea was okay, could have used more ice. Coffee wasnt hot. Wife had the oatmeal and it was dry. Milk would have made it great. I had the copper breakfast burrito. Menu said it had ham. False advertising. It was okay, very dense. Could only eat half the hardy portion. If your totally vegan its the place for you. If youre hoping for a place with some balance? No dairy here for the coffee.

This is a nice little place that I went to see a comedy show at on Friday night. They are a coffee shop that also has a limited good menu also. Being that it was late I chose to just have a can of beer so I really cant say much about the food or drinks. The person running the counter was friendly and liked to joke around with people so that made me enjoy the atmosphere. Its right on main Street so youll be able to order a coffee and walk around which is perfect.

I came for the first time to the Nile for the East Side 8 storytelling event. I was so impressed with the coffee shop, the venue, and the event! I loved all the treats and coffee they were serving and it was so cool that they had a hot food menu that was completely vegan. The storytelling event was so cool. Props to the East Side 8 team for hosting that event and I hope they continue to do it every month; I’ll definitely come every time. The stories were heartfelt, funny, and inspiring. It’s so amazing that people go up and tell a story for 5 or 6 minutes and we as the audience are able to connect with them in that time. Loved the hosts too; they were funny and personable!Parking was super easy and free behind the building and that downtown area is really cool to walk around before and after the event. The coffee shop was slammed during the event but they kept up with all the orders from the customers.I can’t wait to visit again!

Man, I feel wrong about this place. The DJ was cool and the staff was friendly but the food and the drink.... I can’t pretend I enjoyed either. Our iced coffee tasted like water, and my espresso had way less flavor than what they even offer at Starbucks. I loooove this place, the food the drinks the coffee everything.I rarely eat vegan food but this place is a frequent stop of mine, dont knock it till you try it am I right?Plenty of options on the menu, a ton of drink options from Italian soda to great coffee and even some alcohol drinks.Decor is my favorite, unlike a lot of similar menu places that are bright and have a ton of white walls this place has some more darker tones, a ton of seating options and some space to just take out the laptop and do some work.My only complaint is a simple but important one.Consistent food preparation, Ill use my favorite sandwich as a example the squawker Texas Ranger. Vegan buffalo chicken, mixed greens and ranch.Sometimes its perfect, the balance of Buffalo sauce to chicken, the ranch on the side. Then other times when I order the exact same sandwich barely any ranch, not much buffalo sauce, the chicken is in a bunch of large pieces that make it hard to eat.Ive had a few other menu items with similar results.Great food but its just inconsistent prep, I still enjoy it here and wont stop coming in I just dont want to be that guy that has to ask for extra sauce because its lacking this time but not the next time.

The only reason I miss living in Phoenix is for the food. This place was beyond 5 stars and I wish I could visit every week. Even if youre not plant-based, give this place a shot!!I had the copper state bagel and my husband had the avocado bagel. We stopped here to eat before our flight from Sky Harbor and ate for about $10, where this meal of two fancy bagel sandwiches would easily be over $20 anywhere else (even outside the airport). Not only was the bagel unbelievably soft with the perfect chew, the faux cheese mixed with the green chiles and with the sprouts I added might be my favorite thing ever. My husband was equally as impressed with the bagel and said its the best plain dairy free cream cheese hes ever had. And the interior was darn cute too. Wish we could have stayed longer to hang out and enjoy a coffee or one of their many teas.

We ended up sharing a delicious vegan bagel with vegan cream cheese topped with the most delicious fresh blackberries and blueberries. We drank the complementary water with grapefruit slices in it. Like any restaurant there are strengths & weaknesses. The sandwiches are made on a press and my vegan Philly was good. However, finding a clean table was a bit of a challenge. Overall, cleanliness is a big challenge for this place. The community water jug wasnt flowing so I opened it hoping it was fruit or something, I was surprised to see hair inside the jug & what looked like pieces of napkin in it.Personally, I dont think that is sanitary.Whats worse when I let the person working there know she first just made sure there was water in the container and it doesnt appear to get checked in the inside. When I let her know what was inside she took the water away, but it was not replaced and I didnt get to drink any water with my meal.Since my sandwich was good and the vegan blue cheese dressing was also good (for my side salad) they avoid a 1 star rating from me, but if cleanliness is that big of a challenge it is unsettling to think of for the rest of the kitchen
