This is hands down my favorite comics store! They have a lot of variety and even a kids section! They are always welcoming and friendly and always have great suggestions and are extremely helpfully. Honestly, dont bother going anywhere else. This is the place to go if you want to have a good ecosystem l experience getting great comics. Perfect for all types whether youre an avid collector or a complete noob! You will live this place!

Very nice, well curated store. I really appreciate that they have a section devoted to comics for younger readers. Makes it easy to pick appropriate comics to introduce them to the comic world. Lots of collectibles, posters, games...a pop culture wonderland!

Theres more here than what I was expecting! This place has it all. The cool thing to me were all the giant size statues of some superheroes!As expected all the books are here and in order. Been to a few spots and this is by far the most organized shop in the area.For more than just a comic book collector there are tons of graphic novels. Cool toys, posters, comic supplies and figurines to choose from.The staff is really knowledgeable and friendly. Something that is really different about Samurai Comics is the amount of space there is. Youre not gonna have to cut corners and rub up on anyone to get a comic in here. Go in, browse the shop. Also there are cool Variants available too!This is the place where Magic happens too!I recommend checking out all the extras they do here as well. Comics n more! Good job Samurai!!!

Massive selection of various pop culture related items and comics. I think the biggest draw to this shop is the natural light that brightens up the location. I find that most comic book shops fit the “dimly lit” category, but not Samurai! Staff was friendly and helpful with the handful of simple questions I had.

The staff was nice and the store is clean. It is very sparse though. They do not have much good swag or merch. You know like t-shirts, hats, bags, etc. It was mostly Knick-knacks (coffee mugs, paper weights, etc.) stickers, and pins. Their wall scroll selection is very limited as well. Maybe five series and not even what’s the most popular anime currently.I went there when they first opened and I was told that their bulk Pokémon cards from their old location would come here to their new location and that did not happen. Why would you open a new location and then send everything to the older locations in Phoenix/Tempe? It’s like they don’t want their new store to be successful.In addition, most of the pictures in their photo section are of their old location at southern and country club. Their new location on Broadway is barely visible from the street and is mostly empty. Very easy to miss when driving or walking and one even might assume they are closed because it’s so sparse.Finally, there was no signage regarding tournaments or free play of any kind which I guess is not surprising because they are only open six hours a day, six days a week.Other comic book/gaming venues are open longer and are already hosting events with safety measures.I WAS so excited to see them move in across the street from me, but now I am disappointed.

Samurai are an awesome comic shop! Theyre a great shop for lifelong fans and collectors while also being very newbie friendly.Cant reccomend them enough.

Samurai Comics is the best comic shop in the valley. They have 3 locations but Mesa is my favorite. The staff cares a lot about the merchandising of the sales floor. You can tell by the way everything is so easy to find. If you are looking for a shop to pickup your new books every week then stop into Samurai. Their sub service is the best.

Its a really nice and friendly place I enjoy looking through there magic cards and the owner always gives good feed back. My only complaint is they sometimes are out of card sleeves or deck boxes (Like the ultra pro and dragon sheild ones) but other than that its a great shop.

Love this shop. They have a great selection of comics, games and illustrates novels. Whenever we are in the area, we love to visit.

Just your normal comic store. They do have tons of POPS. More catered to just new comics nothing really to dig for. The staff is very quiet and kept to them selves. Found nothing of interest that would bring me back.

This place has a huge variety of comics, has a wall of Pops and has statues you can buy, I would recommend going there and buying comics

This location has a a nice, clean presentation with a little bit of everything for broad appeal. Love the game tables for Community Support. Card games are likely the focus at this location. Overall, would recommend.

Our go to Comic Store. Great selection of merchandise, comics, etc. One of the best locations for free comic book day. Plenty of people dressed up, local artists doing signings and just fun people.

Staff are laid back and the location is small and cozy. They tend to lowball you on things you try to sell them a bit more so than other places Ive been to.

Great shop with new comics, toys, trades and merchandise every week. Store Manager Justin is extremely knowledgeable and has great recommendations based off your interests. I have chose this shop because of the friendly atmosphere and great staff.

This place is pretty cool, the staff is very friendly and are willing to answer any questions you may have, the business is organized and is well stocked with the most current comics and they have decent amount of back issues as well.

This is one Comic store to avoid in the Valley. I knew when I was in a bad situation when a Gargutuan Girl & her half-pint pint boyfriend were making out in the store. They shouldve taken it to a motel instead. There were 3 people working in the store who wouldnt acknowledge me when I walked around the store browsing. When I did ask a question about prices and/or quantities of a certain comic. All 3 answered in broken sentences & couldnt communicate. I couldnt get a clear answer. I probably had a better chance speaking with a Monkey in the Zoo than here. At least, a monkey can identify a banana. Oh yeah, the place reeked of cigarette smoke with nice combination of 111 degree weather of the Arizona desert. You are better off going to the .99 cent store next door to get better service. And you at least know what you will be paying for. What a Sad Place of what you would classify as a comic store.

Great comic store. Has a little bit of everything. Awesome collection on the wall of the indie and smaller comics as well.They have a small section of trades, but great selection. Lots of Image trades, as well as the Big Two.They even have a little DnD section, and their mini selection is pretty decent.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Whoever is doing their displays has a great eye. I always notice the new items.It smells like a perfectly normal store and has good airflow. It doesnt feel crowded, or like you are entering someones hoard. Everything is always tidy and you have space to browse.The only aspect I do not care is that #&@! Spiderman figure. He moves around the store just when you get used to him, so you can be browsing and then, BAM, there he is staring at you. Gets me every time.

Great little comic place for an assortment of comic media. Sad it had to replace atomic comics but they more than filled the role.

Only reason I ever set foot in there was because my friends went and played dnd there. When I walk in the door, I expect to at least be greeted with a hello or a can I help you today? If I walk up to the register and have to walk elsewhere to find where the employees wandered off to, then youre lucky Im not a thief. Long story short, I would avoid this place if at all possible.

Love this place. Constant card tournaments, tables for just playing with buddies, great selection of comics. Love the new online and membership side. Pretty cool place. Sometimes theres a strong food smell like some sort of stroganoff being made somewhere. Can be over powering. The staff and comic selection is excellent though.
