This location is much bigger and allows for relaxing shopping due to the space. However I did enjoy the previous location better because you didn’t have to search high and low for simple items. I spent 15 minutes roaming the store for sewing needles because there were only 3/4 workers and no one was available to assist. Not to mention it was busy as all outdoors! I believe that it would make much better sense to have needles/thread (smaller items) towards the front of the store. Restroom was clean. The store was a bit overwhelming honestly but I eventually found the needles..only because it was near the restroom lol.

Im a crocheter. This location looks so much nicer than the old and the a/c works! BUT, when you walk in and see that dream wall of yarn and think its yarntopia. Forget about it. They rarely have the yarn I want on the shelves but dont even think about taking one off that wall! You will be told in no uncertain terms that they are for display only! Ill just keep going to Hobby Lobby where I can actually BUY what they have!

The lady that worked with me to help me with my idea was extra wonderful, then the cashier was so polite. It was a very nice and friendly atmosphere for me that day

This newest location has very kind and friendly people working. Checkout line can get long but goes quickly. They arent as well-stocked with crafts and home decor but sewing stuff...plenty!

Would give this a 4.3 if partial stars were allowed. I have always found their staff friendly and helpful. The new location is very spacious and easily allows for social distancing. Their curbside pickup is very convenient if you know what you want before going in. They have a huge selection of crafting products, though I have had to go to competitors for items JoAnn does not have at times. Despite their huge selection, their well-organized layout makes it easy to find what you need if youre in a hurry. My only real gripe is with having to download the app and play the coupon game if you want good prices. If you are willing to play the game, however, JoAnn has great prices.

Always pleasant to walk about. Some prices are a bit high, but I think they do that because they assume you will use a 40% off coupon. Personnel are pleasant and helpful.

They probably have what you want in fabrics, but dont show up looking for a deal. You will probably spend top dollar, and maybe then some.

It is huge!! One stop shop, with a great variety of merch for all of your crafting, sewing, painting, ect. They also have some ready-made items, and some seasonal decor. (It is a bit pricey, but it is a nice store!)

They are expensive always busy and theres no one to help you asked a question and they give you a general area no one comes over to show you exactly what youre trying to find this is happened to me at least three times I really dont want to go back if theyre that busy they need to hire more people.

One of the few fabric/notions stores left in the Area... Store was nice. Pretty small from what Im used to. Jo-Ann sends coupons via e-mail, plus they always have coupons online. The service is spectacular, and everyone has always been friendly when i have visited the store. I just wish there was one a little closer to me.

Horrible customer service. We went when they had just opened and they refused to accommodate our return because “now just is not a good time.”

Easy to park. They have an app and website discount coupon program. Not many staff to help locate fabric or answer crafting questions. Theres usually one person cutting fabric and one cashier working the front. Its still convenient to get to on the way home.

I was looking for a variety of styles and weights of fabrics. I was sewing side pillows, reupholstering ad French Louis XV armchair, and sewing a table runner all in consistent color patterns. JoAnn has a large selection of fabrics and I wasnt aware of their selection of art supplies as well. Lots of variety in wares for the crafter!

JOANN fabrics is purgatory, when you walk in the aroma of fabric attacks your nasal passage and over time the store begins to grow larger and larger.The lighting slowly drives you insane, the prices are great and the quality of the fabrics never disappoints.I really love bringing people who are getting into the hobby so they can experience this portal to the feywild in person.It’s easy to accidentally spend four hours browsing and walk out to what seems to be a different era.

To hot in there to shop. Air out over a month. Couldnt use any coupon on a $70.00 sale. Material I puchased was cheaper at the other Joann store. Also that store nicer all around, but to far from my house.

The service here is hit or miss. Someones youll get workers that are really helpful and other times youll get workers that ignore you while youre waiting at the fabric cutting counter. Its great to have a fabric store in town because sometimes I need to feel the fabric before I buy it I just wish their selection was bigger.

The WORST service. Only come here because its convenient, and only when I HAVE to find a particular fabric... usually for Halloween.

This place is okay. There are definitely better fabric stores unfortunately New Orleans doesnt have any except for Jefferson Variety. Which is great!!! I Was treated very rudely and felt like I was putting the lady out that had to cut my fake fur because it was making a mess everywhere, she embarrassed me in front of everybody and I was mortified. Then when I only wanted a small amount she audibly sighed and made a face! This isnt the first time this has happened here either.

Its been a long time since I have been in a true fabric store. They are fully stocked for true seamstresses and crafters.

As I was trying to return a purchase, I asked the woman at the measuring table(Linda) if I needed to see her first before I saw the cashier, she was incredibly rude. Not very welcoming and made me feel I was bother for even being there. She mentioned I couldnt return my fabric because it was cut, and thats not what bothered me but the rude way she did it. After telling me I couldnt return it, before I could even say anything, she said, go talk to the manager, if I have any problems with it. Its fine if I cant return it, but dont be rude about it.

There was only one person willing to help in this store as usual. A younger black woman. The cashier who has an accent is cold and uninviting and not willing help when asked a question. Shes very short with you like she wants to be left alone. Waiting in line at the cutting table is a long wait cuss they sales person either chatting with another sales person personally or shes moving at a snails pace. This store have the most non caring attitude ppl I ever saw. Customer Service at it lowest.

I went in the other day and needed assistance. I asked a lady where something was and totally felt like I was bothering her.Good fabrics but the rest is okay.

Very few staff working every time I go here. Not that the ones working arent friendly, just seem over worked. One lady is always cutting fabric with a line waiting to be served (this is usually quick), its getting anyone to be at the register to check you out.

I live close to this store, so at one point it would be the first store I would go for crafting materials. However, I find that compared to other craft stores, they have very little in crafts. Im always surprised. Also, they dont have as good a selection of fabric and notion choices. I always prefer Hancock or Hobby Lobby.Also, I know of a few of the employees who are polite, but I have consistently had cashiers who are rude and short. Not the best experience when I go.

Average branch. Lighting is too yellow. Selection is limited, compared to Gretna branch. Needs a much better selection of buttons.

Awesome place to go if you want to leave angry without the products you went there to buy (despite having already put them in your basket).The women that work there are insanely rude and condescending, and yet they crawl to help at the rate of incompetent children.Its overall infuriating.After waiting in line for 15 minutes behind people buying ribbon, the workers then decided to inexplicably change to a numbered line system. After I got a number I waited another 20 minutes. When I was finally next I went to the counter where I was cut in front of by another woman without a number, who obviously knew the person behind the counter. When I told her I was next, the woman behind the counter said, Im sorry maam I need you to back up, so I can scan this for her. I dont want her to have to wait.I was so angry, I simply walked out without the fabric or the $300+ dress form I drove to Metairie to from uptown to buy.This is the umpteenth time something like this has happened to me at this Joann store. Do not go here.

VERY RUDE CASHIER! YOUNG LADY LONG BLONDE HAIR, WAS DISRESPECTFUL TO A CUSTOMER, AND PROCEEDED TO OUTBURST ABOUT PUNCHING THAT WOMAN IN THE FACE. ALL OVER THE CUSTOMER WAS TRYING TO SAVE ON COUPONS AND THE CASHIER COMPLAINEDALL THAT TO SAVE$6 DOLLARS. THE CUSTOMER WAS NOT RUDE LIKE THE CASHIER. THIS HAPPENED ON FRIDAY 12-7-2018, AT 3:00 PM. VERY UPSETTING.
