The staff at B&N are always so kind. They always have a smile on their face. Its nice to go to a place where people seem genuinely happy to see you.

What can I say about Barnes and Nobles.It is my happy place, as soon as I walk into the door and the smell of pages waft over me, I become calm.It is my home away from home. It is my happy place, I could roam the isle for hours and waste away in the divine bliss of books.They rearranged everything from the last time I was there, and it was magical, it was like arriving at a new book store. I could wander and roam the new isles in search of the book that I desire.

What more could I say about this place. Its definitely my happy place and there cafe is a perfect compliment to go with carousing around and mentally compartmentalize which books I need and in what order. I usually get something but a lot of times Ill go there just to see new releases (or something cool Ive somehow missed) and walking out without anything. When I leave B&N empty handed though, my heart hurts a little and I get sad, so I try and do that only so much. Staff is cool and helpful and seems to be the same core group of people for a while now. Great job!!!

Made a book run and picked up Gene Fields excellent new book Cops and Characters as well as a new Illiad and a large print good book. Asked for help finding a history of Africa,pre colonial period. After refusing Egyptian history which I consider a different culture entirely with the exception of the Kushites (who the Egyptians are in denial about) I was told that they don’t stock African history. Pretty much all they have is the history of the White Colonial period. Really?And then it made me realize that black history is non existent as for as anyone can get their hands on. If anyone has any leads please let me know through fb. Thanks for any help. Barnes and Nobles you have to step up

Selection is incredibly vast, theres a little bit of something for everybody, staff is helpful, and the Starbucks was a great way to start my browsing. Will definitely be back soon, and frequently.

I didnt go inside because the neighborhood is too frightening... For trying to walk up to the place a car not even using the mall area almost hit me from a right turn then honked at me to try to deafen me...pedestrians always have the right of way in a gas crisis... No one told you you could be anywhere without a tour bus... This is all residential...then sitting to use the tables briefly got me second hand smoke stalked... I dont want your quarantines stalking me to disease me with it... I havent been greedy and unmanageable and I dont deserve your punishments so dont stalk me as a hostage its you that did it to yourself....

Just what you expect. Now saving plastic bags by giving you a bag-free purchase. Cafe open; Starbucks products. Use your B&N membership to save in the cafe also.

I felt sectioned out. The lady in the coffee department was very polite to others. I made a coffee order. She provided no apology or explanation why a drip coffee took so long. The coffee was cold and late. I ended up tossing the coffee I paid for. Out of all the customers she had just served. I was th only o e that provided a descent tip. I will never go there again. If my money is not wanted...i wont spend there.

Wow customer service just gets better at this location. The Starbucks server was so nice. We had a young redheaded lady help us locate a couple of items. The lady trying her was great as well. Wish we had remembered their names. Great to see cheerful employees. I have noticed a marked improvement in selection and customer service over the last few months. Bring a couple dollars to tip the Starbucks baristas..there is not a place on the receipt to add one.

Good quality book from Barnes & Noble. Talked with the gentleman at customer service about the availability of this book & it was available. The young man was very Professional from beginning to end.

Its the major bookstore in the New Orleans area. The staff can direct you pretty close to what you want a cafe is reasonable clean period of the day. The magazine collection is very good and you can get a magazines and eat something and read it for free.

Came here with my lovely girlfriend a few times. Havent bought anything. However, an excellent selection to choose from. Seems like they have everything and more than happy to help you find something in their database. Friendly and welcoming employees all over that are clearly enjoying their job which is nice to see. They have an attached coffeeshop too and that definitely seals the deal even more.

Found everything I needed and the staff were super helpful. (I dont recommend ever using a book to store your passwords btw)

This review is not tied to the local store in Metairie, LA. This review is tied to the online ordering and delivery service that Barnes & Noble offer on their website. In my opinion, if B&N can not have books delivered to your home in less than 2 weeks they should not provide the service. They need to keep their sales offer to the inventory in their local stores. My daughter is a B&N supporter so I placed my last order online with them over 2 weeks ago and am still waiting for the delivery - the tracking updates keep pushing out the date each time I check the status. This is disappointing.

It was just stupendous. Quiet had only a handful of people. I honestly would like to go back just to binge some books with a couple of friends

I met a friend for coffee and buying some new books, but it was very uncomfortable to get a cup off coffee, the whole experience wasnt as pleasant as it used to be. Waiting for a long time in line to buy your drink and wheI finally got my tur was told that they couldnt do it because they run out of on ingredient. Oh well I will not be back until next year!!!🙃🙃🙃 lol

It makes me so sad that a lot of B&Ns are closing/have closed down. Its been a source of study spaces for students for years! Fortunately, this one is alive and kicking! Its quiet upstairs where all the study tables are; theres still music playing though. There is a Starbucks inside if you want food/coffee. Its clean. It has a huge collection of books. Whats not to love?

Wow. Had not been here in years. A lot more than books. Lots of toys, games, puzzles. Still a great selection of books. Nice gift shop attached to building. Upstairs like a library...pick up a book and read.
