Do not ever buy from this dealership. Servicing your vehicle will be an absolute nightmare. I scheduled an appointment to have a tire replaced at 10:30 AM for the next day. I dropped my car off at 10:30AM. When I asked how long it would take, Billy told me anytime until 6pm. Excuse me? 6pm? 12pm rolls around… no one has even started on my car yet. 2pm rolls around… again my car has not been touched. I show up at 4pm annoyed because I have missed an entire day of work and have been waiting all day (I live an hour from the dealership). Billy tells me at 4pm they don’t have the tire & will put my spare on. REALLY??? You wait till 4pm to tell me you don’t have the tire?! Why did no one tell me when I called the day before to schedule? I called with the exact measurements and what tire I needed and they said yes come on in! I was then told the appointment at 10:30AM wasn’t a car service appointment. It was an appointment to speak with Billy. WHAT????? Absolutely ridiculous. An entire work day wasted waiting around for a tire that they didn’t even have. What dealership doesn’t know in advance what tires they have in stock? Especially considering I told them EXACTLY what size I needed.

Side not- this is my first review on google which means the situation was bad.ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE! They kept our car for 23 days for a simple fix. Do NOT work with Jack in the service department, he will not return your calls. Ask to work with anyone else, go to another dealership, or buy a different car. I would give them a 0 rating if possible. Every time you call the service department it rings twice and goes to voicemail, then calls are never returned. You have to call back 5-10 times before someone picks up the phone, then they just forward you to your assistants phone which goes to voicemail 99% of the time. Try to call the sales department, and they transfer you directly to the service departments voicemail. One time I was even transferred to the parts department at a different dealership...Initially made an appointment to have the wet carpet looked at. They did not service the sunroof drain on our vehicle on the most recent service, even though this is apparently a known issue on this year/make/model, only a 2 year old car. Made an appointment online (which was a week and a half away from the date we made the appointment) only to be told that we never actually had an appointment and that their website does this often. They were too busy to assist us and said to schedule the next available, which was almost 2 weeks later. Dropped the car off finally. A few days later we called to check up and they let us know that they were going to try to clean the carpet and if not theyd replace them and give us a call back. A few days passed with no call so we checked up. We were told that our vehicle was not the only one with the issue and theyd be replacing the carpet, supplies should be in next week and itll be ready. We asked to pick the car up since it was derivable and return it when our parts were in and it was our turn, they said it wont be that long and wed lose our spot in line if we took the car. Every week they said itd be ready next week.They ended up keeping the car for 23 days in total, never giving any updates or returning our calls. To top it all off, they didnt replace the pegs to hold the floor mats down on the passenger side. The maintenance attendant said it didnt come with them which likely means either the service rep or the parts department ordered the incorrect piece to begin with. He said theyll replace it on our next service, but im sure theyll close out the warranty repair out and this will never be handled since the warranty claim will no longer be open to pay their hourly wage.When we finally picked it up, the carpet that they pulled out of the car was sitting right next to it, so the entire time we couldve been using the car. Its not like theyd removed all seats and carpet while they were waiting on parts to be delivered. Thank god we didnt rent a car at Enterprise for 23 days or it wouldve been $3K.Trading the car in and never shopping with Volkswagen again

Sure buy a car from them… but you’ll never get another person to ever help again. This business is run horribly. There’s no service dept. No one returns calls for service appointments and no one apparently works there to take calls.Nice ladies in accounting though (but that’s at Acura)

Awful service department. Brought my car in twice in a month for same issue and came out with a 3rd worse issue. Waiting to tow my car into another dealer because it threw tons of errors and will not start now. Other dealer let me know they get a lot of walkers customers for same reason. Prices also seem higher than a normal dealership for parts and service. Cannot get through to service department even when car is sitting in their lot. Could not get and update and was unable to talk to service manager when requested.

I usually never post poor reviews, but I felt compelled in this case. I made a service appointment which was verified by text messages and when I arrived for my appointment I was told an appointment was never made and they were too busy to accommodate me. Too bad, I was told I would have to come another time. When I expressed by surprise, I was told this happens often. Why? Why does any business tolerate this? Annoyed, I asked for an apology which was grudgingly given. I made another appointment for the following week. While waiting in the waiting room at the follow up appointment, I happened to overhear the same service representative making fun of his encounter with me the week before. I guess he had forgotten who I was and that I was sitting feet away. What ever happened to being polite to customers. Does this business have an HR department?

Normally, I am very patient and understanding.Labor Day weekend I purchased a used VW. I was so happy and excited. There were a couple bumps and bruises that needed to be remedied. And sales was very helpful and accommodating to get everything ironed out.Once I went to Service for resolution I found their team clueless.I have never been so disappointed.I was told that the repair would be half the cost and it would take minutes once they had the part. I was less then pleased to pay for a repair on a sale less then 30 days old. But I figured, ok.. I got a good deal from sales and they had been so kind.After four trips since purchasing, 6 hours taken off from work and being ridiculously over charged for labor, finally my new to me car is repaired. Take your business ELSEWHERE! These fools are not worth the headache 🤕

If I could, I would rate them with 0 stars. DO NOT GO HERE! I came in to get my car serviced/looked at before I went on a road trip and they said I needed new break pads in the rear so I said okay. As I drove across the country and when I got to my destination I realized there was an odd noise coming from the rear of my car so when I arrived I took it to a trusted mechanic. After a few hours they called me and said youre lucky to be alive. They had completely botched the break pad job and I was lucky it never gave out on me on the road. I have tried calling to get my money back and one woman has been kind but the manager refuses to call me back and I would like my money back or at least and reimbursement for the money I spent having to get it FIXED AGAIN.

Back in January I bought a brand new VW Tiquan with 5 miles on it from Walker VW. At 108 miles I get an alert on the dash that I had low oil pressure. I immediately contacted my sales person, who had insured me when I bought it, if I had any problems what so ever, hed be there to help. But no... 2 days go by and he never returned my numerous attempts to contact him. I eventually just drove the car to the dealership. After sitting there a while they tell me that theyd have to keep it overnight to do some diagnostic tests. I asked for a loaner car and was told there were none available. The next day I call to check on it and was told it was still not ready. I was a bit upset having just paid cash for a brand new car and I was now sitting at home with no way to go anywhere. The situation with got really ugly after I had been lied to by one of their service employees regarding the status of the car. The service manager finally calls me and tells me they would have to put in a new engine as they found metal shavings in the oil pan. I immediately told them that I was not accepting that car back with a new engine. I wanted a new car because I didnt purchase a car from them with a bad engine. He said hed have to speak with the owner. I then called a lawyer who informed me of my legal rights. Finally I was contacted by their new sales manager who was much more professional in handling customers. He connected me with the person that helped me negotiate what I wanted. Im sure these employees are trained to negotiate in the best interest of the company, but I had already been counseled on my rights and I stood my ground to get what I wanted. In the end I got exactly what I wanted and they made the situation right. If it wouldnt have been for the lies and the rude behavior from the initial set of employees, Id have given this review 5 stars, but I could not, in good conscience, give a perfect review after the way they treated me and the frustration of having to deal with the ordeal. I can say that the upper management in all the departments I dealt with were very professional and respectful after the lies from the previous two in sales and service. Those two, who apparently have been there for years, could use some training on how to treat a customer properly. All this being said, I love the car and hope I can drive it for years to come. I appreciate the help from Arthur, and my new sales guy Richard. Also the service manager whos name slips my mind. These guys showed me that Walker VW actually does have professionals who treat customers right. So if I ever have to contact the dealership again, at least I know who NOT to ask for.

Could not be happier with out entire experience with Walker Volkswagen in Metairie! Richard was never pushy or overbearing at any point, but was very knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive during the whole process. We had A LOT of questions and he was so patient with all of them! When we got down to the financing, John was amazing with tidying up the loose ends of the negotiations and explaining all of our options to us! We are in love with our Atlas! Go to Walker, you will not be sorry! Im sure everyone is great, but ask for Richard!Knocking this rating down a bit from 5 stars. The buying process was a good one, just know that once you buy the car, customer service diminishes if not disappears altogether. Emails go barely answered, getting in touch with anyone on the phone is impossible, and leaving voicemails will get you no return call.

Went in for an hour-long emissions recall software update. A couple of things stood out that need to be fixed with their protocol during this virus time. One, I had to ask the receptionist to wear her mask. Really? The waiting room is way too small and people were not wearing masks, Fortunately there was other seating near the showroom with no one around. They do ask people to drop off their cards and not wait but they told me my service was so quick I could hang there. Lastly, she handed the keys back to my husband without wiping them. My husband drowned them in a huge squirt of sanitizer - I was surprised they still worked! All of this added up to a feeling of unease.

I was recently there to have a battery replaced. Was told on the phone that my battery cost $227, and the labor cost would be $135. Told me it was an hour job. The man on the phone went to confirm labor price (my battery is under the drivers seat) with the technician. Technician said it was an hour and half job, so I was told $202 for labor. When I went to the appointment, they had my car in and out of the bay (I could see out the windows) in 45 mins. My car processed to sit there for another 30 mins. When I went to pay, he charged me $202 for 1 1/2 labor even though it took them 45 mins. He also tried to charge me $267 for the battery, when I explained that parts said $227 he ripped the paper, sighed and said “wish they’d do things right the first time” hello unprofessional. He went and spoke with parts and changed the price to $227. So be aware of your pricing.

I came to this Volkswagen dealership because I had some tire issues. I usually live in Texas but was on vacation when I experienced these tire issues. Robbie was an excellent service provider during the entire experience, despite issues with dealing with the other dealership in Texas. Robbie treated me as if I had originally bought the car from this dealership, with the speediest service possible. Altogether, Robbie provided a fabulous service experience from this dealership and I appreciate his hard work.

SLOW service!!! I entered the service department and was not addressed until the 2 employees finished their conversation. I had a 9AM appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. At 1130 I asked how much longer they would be working on my car, the 2 employees never gave me a time frame but told me that my car was currently being worked on. All they had to do was get up and ask but I guess that was asking for too much. I did not leave VW until after 1215PM. I will never return due to poor customer service!

I’ve never had a bad experience until now. I recently brought my vehicle in for a wheel alignment because my Durango was pulling to the right. My steering wheel was centered before bring it in now it’s slightly angled to the right and my vehicle is still pulling to the right. After bringing up my concerns I was informed that my radius bar is bent (wasn’t bent before).. oh and did I mention there is nothing they can do until I purchased a new radius bar and another wheel alignment...

Car sat for 2 days before it was even looked at, and the job only took 1/2 a day. I have paid out of pocket for a rental and have yet to be contacted by the Service Manager regarding a reimbursement (which I was assured I would receive a phone call)> Thankful that my repairs were covered under warranty (reason for 2 stars rather than 1), but I should be reimbursed for the rental. It was also impossible to get anyone on the phone to speak to them about my vehicle. SO many messages were left and never returned! I also was notified via text message when my car was ready - couldnt get anyone on the phone to discuss with me the final diagnosis and repairs for > 3 hours. Then when my husband and I arrived for pickup, we were given our keys and sent on our way -no one from Service came to discuss with my husband what was found. Hands down the worst experience I have ever had.

Interesting.. my email said that my 5 star review was posted to your site, however it’s not there bc I did NOT rate my experience or review it with 5 stars!!!Its been 2 WEEKS since my oil change & I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM YOU VW!!!I came in thurs. July 9th for my scheduled oil change. All went smoothly, & I picked my VW Jetta GLI up in a very timely manner (1hr) THE OIL CHANGE WAS NOT THE ISSUE, 5stars.When I got home, my husband noticed my fan was running very loudly & sounded as if it were vibrating (undetectable from inside vehicle, otherwise I would’ve said something while at VW) we IMMEDIATELY called, no answer, left a voicemail. We did this for 3 days before moving out of state!!!!!! No answer, many voicemails, no call back.I know this is an “easy fix” BUT THATS NOT THE POINT!!! My vehicle was damaged at your place of business & I haven’t heard from ANYONE since picking my car up!I took your online survey in hopes of hearing back from you but clearly that’s a joke too. With time being so important to us, we were able to tell Brandon the exact terms we needed. We wanted an easy yes or no. Brandon was able to do just that. I had a great experience at Walker today! The service for the oil change was fast and they didnt replace my clean filters just because I was at the 30,000 mile mark. I loved the new video of your cars health feature. The tech took me on a video tour around the car, discussed everything they were checking, and identified what service was needed. They also honored my free oil change coupon that I held onto for 7 years! Thanks for the transparent and customer service oriented experience!

My wife and I were greeted but received no pressure as we walked around the lot viewing cars and identifying the one we liked. After, we went inside and met with sales associate who originally greeted us. He was helpful with working on our needs, but not pushy. Finally we met with finance manager who assisted us in getting in the car for the right price. Very good experience. Not what I thought I was going to deal with when we went to look at possibly buying a new car.

I also received good service from management as they thoroughly communicated the status of my car. My car was finished in a timely manner and was easily accessible when I was ready to drive off the lot. I have a 2016 VW Beetle and recently received a recall notice. When you call the dealership you get an automated system so I left a message for the service department. Having not heard back I attempted to call again. Left another message. I also went online to their website and a chat box came up. I explained what was going on and was assured someone would call me. Two days later and still no call back. Went on chat AGAIN. Was assured again someone would get back to me. That was six days ago and still no call back. If thats the level of customer service you expect then buy your vehicle from them. If not look elsewhere.

My wife and I were in and out in about 90 minutes, no smoke and mirrors.They even took the time for an extensive detailing of the car as it was a recent trade in, as in a day or two turn around tops. Helmi, our salesman, was attentive to our needs, listened to what we said that we were looking for and made suggestions based on what we said. I cannot say enough good things about Helmi, if you need a car, you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not stopping by for a visit to see what he has available.

I came in late in the day, the service shop was closing down in 45 minutes, and I desperately needed a 40k service. The lady at the front desk didn’t hesitate to help me out even though it meant staying late. She got people right on it. They were courteous the whole time, from front to the finish.I’ll definitely be back for the 50k, just hopefully earlier in the day.

I drove from Texas to New Orleans and on the way there the tire pressure light came on. It listed both tires on the passenger side. I stopped by Walker Volkswagen and they took it right away and checked it and had me back on the road in a few minutes. The staff was so friendly and accommodating.

He has kept my 05 BUG running perfectly for years along with special touches like sprays the power windows with silicone spray to keep them going up and down smoothly then I called on 9/27/16 and needed an oil change during my lunch hour and he drives me right in. So I brought my car to get serviced on Saturday September 30, and was told it would be a few hours, I received a phone call from Amanda the manager over the service department she informed me that my car would have to stay over the weekend because additional parts were needed that we didnt discuss because it wasnt known, I thought that was a bummer,but however the service the accommodation she did for me and her customer service was amazing so it didnt bother me m. Im missing my car lol but I appreciate all that they are doing to make sure everything will be okay..the atmosphere there the little while I waited in my best friend was so relaxing. We brought our car in a little later than usual for service and without an appointment. She let us know it would be a few hours so we weren’t expecting to hear back until late into the evening. Two hours later they said you can come pick her up. We had not discussed prices, and I had set aside a few hundred dollar for the occasion (oil change, tire rotation, 10,000 mile inspection, etc.) but when we got to the cashier it was only like 115 (with a coupon, but we also bought some cute air fresheners and some tire caps.) All in all it was great and a lot cheaper than we expected

Really nice guy, was not pushy at all! We didnt leave with a car which was our choice, but if we go back, well definitely ask for him again. Walker Volkswagen is by far the biggest laughing stock of any dealership in all of Louisiana. First of all, they will pull you into an illusively wonderful “buying experience” by a friendly sales department. Though, the horror of the experience will not start until the first service or the next time the vehicle will need to be serviced.The worst part of this dealership by far is the service department. Completely run by individuals who do not seem to know what they are doing and even tell you that they have never worked in this department. So when something needs to get changed because it is defective, they have no idea what parts are needed and what course of action to take. That is if you can get an appointment under the correct name.Then, when you call 8 times and never get a call back in a span of many weeks, you start to wonder if they are purposefully ignoring your calls. Being told that you will get called back is just the beginning of all the humbug that this dealership has to offer. You will get an appointment to have the parts changed and supposedly a loaner car to take home since some of their customers live an hour or so away. You get to the dealership at the time of the appointment and they tell you that there is no loaner under your name. When you specifically called for that time and date weeks in advance because you are promised one thing and told another. Not sure they even have loaner cars so you would be better off not even attempting to schedule one.Now that the bumper trim piece is changed, I will never recommend anyone to purchase anything from this dealership. Even though the sales experience was pleasant, save yourself the headache and purchase from another dealership. They have stated that they are under new management and that is wonderful because hopefully the new manager can save this place from loosing future business.

From the first minute I walked in the door, until minute I drove off the lot with my new car, (Atlas) it was the most comfortable experience I’ve ever had on a car lot. The salesman (Helmi) felt more like a friend I’ve known for years than a guy I met for the first time. I went to get an oil change. After the oil change, my car had a constant strange honking sound while driving. I went back to the service department and they told me that there was nothing they can do to fix it. They said it was my problem. My car was totally fine before the service.

This VW dealer has an extremely small customer parking area and it is very hard to get in and out of the service department.I had booked my car in using the on line service for a safety recall, but found that they could not complete the work in the time they had allowed. I will now have to return next week to let them do the work over the whole day.The service department seemed small, dark and dirty which is not what I am used to with the large auto companies. Even their new car showroom was small and badly laid out.
