Stopped in to pick up some crawfish and meat pies. The lady at the counter was very helpful and cheery and suggested the ham and cheese croissant as well.. I purchased all 3. She is a great asset to Chez Pierre. The display of pastries and cakes were picture perfect and appetizing. The lobby/dining area were clean and inviting. Will definitely return to try some of those pastries. Everything was delicious. Thank you Chez Pierre!
So, decided to eat here while my truck was being worked on. I ordered a poboy, but definitely not what they said it was. I asked for no pickle carrots and no cucumber, it was suppose to come with cilantro and jalapeños. Does this look like it has cilantro or jalapeños, unfortunately I was too tired to complain. Been a long day, this was disappointing. Honestly whats the point of the menu, if the staff doesnt follow it. Make sure to double check on your order as they put it in. So much for the 20% tip. The regret I feel.
I absolutely love Chez Pierre Bakery and Cafe! Each and every pastry is delicious, beautiful, and made of the highest quality ingredients. I have given pastries to friends and family for years and they all rave about the beauty and deliciousness! We stop in for delicious meals as well. The Shrimp Spring Rolls and the Pho are my favorites! There are so many delicacies to choose from that you will keep coming back to try everything and you will also bring home a carefully chosen pastry variety packaged sooo gift-like! No visit to or leaving New Orleans is complete without stopping in for a delightful, mouth-watering treat!
Waited in line and was next up when a woman who was definitely not in line walked up and demanded to be served next. I waited while the cashier tried to make sense of an extensive order given in English which she clearly had great difficulty understanding.Cashier made us wait several more minutes while she filled a large to go box with pastries even though there was no one in sight waiting to pick them up.Between us my friend and I ordered a total of 4 eggs, six small slices of bacon, and two plain coffees. Total: $24.05 with a tip expected. This was absurd so we went to a nearby restaurant and both had large omelettes and coffee. Are Total: $19.75.There’s more food and far better service to be had elsewhere. That box the cashier spent so much time filling up? Nobody came and got it. Apparently to avoi Wait times you either call ahead or walk to the front of the line and demand to be served.
Went for pastries a few times... disappointed everytime.. we ordered ordered red velvet cake, the turtle cheesecake, the Chantilly cake, the coconut puff thing and brownie bites. The brownie bites were good... everything else sucked.. definitely NOT worth the high prices ....
I ordered a Half sheet Chantilly cake over the phone. I was quoted a price but when I went to pickup the Chantilly cake it was not the price I was quoted. Also at pick up the guy behind the counter just ignored us until I said I m here to pick up a cake! Then he couldn’t find the cake. He finally found the cake but was not how I ordered it. He took it back and they fixed it beautifully! The owner’s daughter made up the the wafer inscription for the cake and misspelled the name, took it back and just scraped the extra letter off! Needless to say I didn’t put that on the cake! I spent a good amount of money on this cake and I did not feel they appreciated our business!
Loved the fact they had a Chantilly cake in stocks and ready. Thank you, yall saved me i forgot to order one ahead of time and today is my sisters birthday. Fast and courteous service could not of asked for a better atmosphere or faster service.
Dont think it should be called a French bakery. More like a regular cafe place, not many options to pick from. The people that work there were nice but for the pastries, food, and other things I wouldnt really go back. It felt like those super sad movies when there is nothing left to eat, the worse part is that I was there in the morning.
Friendliest staff ever, their politeness feels actual genuine then just im just doing my job politeness. Highly recommend their cream brulee cheesecake. If I could have this as a birthday cake I would. Besides baked goods they also have food which is vietnamese style if i recall correctly. Great place to sit down for a nice lunch date.
Food & service were great. Nice amount of choices on their menu. Plus, all the pastries to choose from for dessert. Give this place a try, you likely will not be disappointed.
We had the pear tart and a heavenly pastry with a crawfish filling. It had just the right amount of heat, and we can’t wait to go again.
Good spot for cakes. You have to order bigger cakes 3 days ahead of time so do plan accordingly. Mini cake are always nice to have.
We stopped in right before closing and were surprised to see such a great variety of sweets. The food was awesome and we will be going back
The cakes were beautiful but dry. The coffee cake just tasted like whatever their fat base was for the frosting (Im assuming butter) and salt. Its a very pretty place but honestly I just didnt like the food. Mark it down to preference.
I just love their cakes, beautiful and good taste
It would be zero stars but that’s not an option. Went to the Clearview location about 30 min ago for the first time ever. I went in for some vanilla macarons and the boy who helped me used large metal tongs (that I use to flip steaks on the grill) and just dropped them in an oversized pastry box. When I got in my car I looked at them and he cracked several of them with the tongs and the edges of the macarons are really really soggy!! I literally just wasted $15 on plus a $2 tip on 6 macarons that I cannot use or eat. I am so annoyed and now I have to go to Whole Foods hoping they have some descent ones. Which by the way... I found out Whole Foods has 6 packs of macarons for $9.99. I was trying to save some time on a cake order I have for a client by purchasing the macarons but next time I know better and will just make them myself. I never write reviews and this is my first one ever on Google but I am so upset about this that I felt the need to express how bad this place was. Not to mention... the boy who helped me seemed miserable and wasn’t even very nice.
Best pastries in New Orleans maybe? Come early because the really good things sell out early!P. S. Their King Cake is a delicacy! To Die For!
Im obsessed with their Galette Orange cookies. Also their crawfish pies are delicious.
Very nice little fusion bakery! Loved the crawfish pie and cheesecake; we will definitely be back for pho!
I will be honest. The desserts here are delicious period. (Props to the baker) . However, the customer service discourages me from visiting again. The last two visits, the same guy at the register was unfriendly and seemed as if he was irritated taking orders.
The napoleons are really good here. Ive tried the strawberry and drizzle napoleons and theyre equally delicious.
Chez Pierre has the most delicious pastries, breads, and cakes in all of New Orelans! We used to live in New Orleans, and since our move, we make it a habit to stop by on the way IN to town AND on the way OUT of town! We look forward to it for the entire trip! Delicious and beautiful treats of all kinds, like a real bakery should have.
Their King Cake, in my opinion is one of the best. My son loved the petite Ford. They are special.
The food was amazing. The friendly girl happily answered all our questions.
Came here because they advertised bubble tea. all their photos feature tea with tapioca pearls. I order bubble tea, it doesnt have tapioca. I ask if it can be added.oh we dont have tapioca.?????????asked if i could trade in the drink i didnt want for an ice coffee. they gave me the smallest size. ended up spending $4.75 for a $2.75 drink.
Always on point. Meat pies, crawfish pies, bahn mis, pastries.... everything is awesome
Please work on friendly and helpful service.
Brownies, fruit tarts, and cakes, oh my! You wont be disappointed.
I really enjoyed the banh mi poboy here. I got the shrimp; it was a little spicy but overall delicious with soft and crunchy bread. The Vietnamese cold coffee was creamy and had just the right amount of sweetness to perk a person up. The desserts are as beautiful as see in pictures. Dining area is small, but they have a nice size parking lot. Staff was welcoming and speedy. Will be back! They are also on doordash for those who like to order in.
Delicious cakes, and now with spanish language added !
Very good pastry. A little pricey, but good quality.
Favorite place for cakes in Kenner.
Their cakes are really good but they dont really change their variety.Ive had each one multiple times.5 stars if it werent for that.
This bakery is outstanding! Everything from red velvet to my daughters wedding cake. Simply the best! No complaints!
This is my last time coming here for a bubble tea. I called to confirm if they had mango bubble tea around 12:15pm I get there around 12:45pm asking for a mango bubble tea the guys at the register looks at the other girl working with him and she says they dont have mango bubble tea. Let me remind you the person who picked up the phone was a guy and he told me that they DID have it and obviously he was the only guy working there. This is just sad!! Why would you confirm you have something and when the costumer gets there yall all of a sudden dont have it. I think they just didnt want to make it. Because this isnt the first time ive went threw this with them. I always call before I go that way I dont waist gas.For who ever it conserns this is the spanish young pregnant lady!!!!
They have the most amazing food. Everything they sell id delicious! You cant go wrong. Even their food is great. I love this place. Highly recommend. If you havent eaten their deserts before you are missing out.
The young lady behind the counter was not very friendly. We were getting sweets to take to several people and drop off (due to pandemic) she packed them and all the icing was stuck to the box. When ordering a double espresso, she started it, went to the back for who knows why- all the while Eye watch my shots die.... When asking to pour the shots over ice she acted like it was not supposed to be done and almost wanted to argue about it... Eye pwn a coffee business and it is a strict rule -if you cant make it get someone who can!!! It may have just been an off day but IMHO she is too comfortable and doesnt seem to think customer service is valid anymore..... Smh
Love the birthday cake from this place.
Went to this place and ordered the following:-Breakfast plate-Breakfast sandwich-Coconut Smoothie-Medium Fruit TartThey took 40 minutes for my order serving other people that go there after me. Later, the girl approaches us to let us know that they ran out of croissants for the breakfast sandwich because they didn’t bake any on that day. The breakfast plate is supposedly served with grits, which were not included in my order. They forgot about the smoothie and came to apologize again. By the time I got my food, it cold. The only good thing they had was the fruit tart. This was my first time there and I think it will be the last one.
Delicious food! Can get Pho, Salads & pastry all in one trip. Also very accommodating when i asked for ingredients to be left out due to food allergy.
I was at Chez Pierre with my husband for an early dinner. We shared an order of spring rolls & they were delicious. My husband had a steak salad & I had an Asian Salad with chicken. Both salads were very good & they were loaded with meat. I bought a few desserts to bring home. We will go back.
AMAZING!!! Its ALWAYS out stop in NOLA!
Neapolitan and chocolate ganache are the best!!
The food is almost exclusively Vietnamese, and it is absolutely delicious!! Just the smell alone intoxicated me on the ride back to the office. Everyone loved what they got and we got a good mix of the menu. I placed a big order for pickup and they had it ready when I got there and even labeled it to make it easier to identify! Now I need to go back and try some pastries!
Regular customer. In the past few years, I always ordered 8 Chantilly for birthday from this bakery, but they always made mistakes on my order. They either completely forgot to make the cake order and then made me to buy one from their counter, or they did not prepare my order correctly and then called me a day before that they messed up on my birthday cake. Sooooo disappointed! Also, I hate the way the guy who talked to me through phone with a bad attitude and he kept saying: the baker is gone so I cant do nothing for you.
Great French Bakery and Vietnamese food. Truly. There is plenty of parking in front. The restaurant is clean and delightful The food is all good, whether you are getting a pastry, a cake or a meal. Just lovely.
They have some of the best cakes and pastries. The chantilly is my preferred birthday cake, or the casino cake they are so frickin delicious. I insist you try a lice!
Im from Memphis, but I always make a point to visit this place. Ive enjoyed any food Ive eaten. The dessert are delicious. I always buy something to take home every time. The place is small but nicely decorated. Service is good. The place is near very a busy intersection, so if youre not from the area, you have to go around cause you might miss it.
Nice & clean, easy to find.Parking easy to get in & out. Outside table available. Courteous staff. Greeted right away. Pastries all look delicious. We had the pineapple layer cake and chocolate mousse cake. Both rich and delicious. I was expecting the cake in the pineapple layer to be a lighter, smoother texture. It was a bit grainy not bad, just different.Unlike other bakery / pastry shops they gave us table service after we chose our desserts.
Came to check out the pastries. The all appear homemade and in house. Truly in the French tradition. Loved the meat pies. Next time Ill try their coffee. It smelled good but I didnt have time.
Loved it. I want to go back! It was very difficult to choose what we wanted because everything looked so delicious. We finally settled on a few breakfast items and we were totally impressed. So fresh and good. Its just a tiny little place and parking is in short supply. Totally worth waiting for a parking spot, or walking a bit if you cant park right there in front.
Food ok got to go order breakfast grits and all ...... no fork no spoon and forgot to give me my apple Danish I paid for.. and whats in them grits!!!! Grits water butter keep it simple please
Best french pastries.
Great pastries and food. I usually get the chicken salad. Here’s a tip: don’t let them give you the pastry before the food! You’ll eat the pastry before the food and want more pastries after! Overall great place!
Wasnt super impressed with the deserts we got. Looked nice but tasted ok. Could be because we got it late and maybe the bread is better.
I love their pastries. I placed a large order for work. Everyone loved the croissants.
Great food, Great Service. Happy employees make a nice place to eat. You feel welcome when you walk in.
We were excited to try this place but our experience fell short. We got a brownie muffin and it was so hard we literally couldnt bite into the top! The cannoli shell as well as the pistachios were soft and mushy... very disappointing. I gave an extra star because the turtle cheesecake was good thank the Lord because it was the only edible thing.
Wonderful place. Found this gem purely by accident because of curiosity. The pastries are to die for! My wife loves the tiramisu and Im in love with theyre freshly made fruit tarts! If you go out to dinner, remember this place for dessert. You wont regret it. They also serve vietnamese cuisine. Havent tried it yet but saw it prepared for another customer so we vowed to try that next.
Great food for good price, always fresh, desserts are amazing
Great meat pies, crawfish pies, egg rolls, not even getting to all of the delicious pastries!
Food is average. Pastries are better...very small dining area, go for the pastries. The Vietnamese sandwich was very scarce with beef...
The deserts here are amazing. The staff is warm, friendly and funny (especially Ha, shes great). I made 2 trips to this establishment during my time in New Orleans and will definitely visit again next time Im in town. I recommend the lemon tart, it will blow your mind with deliciousness.
Have purchased excellent pastry from this establishment for 20 years, when they were at the Vets. Location. A great place to get your pastries for a party or just a family group. I am happy the quality hasnt change by the move to Clearview. I highly recommend this establishment .
My desserts were not good. We ordered the bread pudding, crème brûlée, Flan, cannoli, turtle cheesecake and coffee. Spent around $22 and none of it satisfied us. The nuts on top of the turtle cheesecake were very tasty but the chocolate topping was too hard. The cheesecake portion was very dry and flaky. The crème brûlée tasted cheap, almost watery. My husband and I had just came from la madeleine French bakery and loved the crème brûlée there. The flan was also watery and tasted like it was made with cheap ingredients. I was disappointed that my cannoli did not have a crisp outer shell and it had a bland taste. The bread pudding tasted like stale biscuits saturated in butter. If we lived in the area we would not go back there with so many amazing options to enjoy nearby. A positive note is the cashier was very friendly.
Good pastries, not too sugary. Tiramisu is the best.
Great place Great pastries drove in from MS today for this visit
Visually its beautiful, but dont expect any flavor from your food or drinks. As I left a woman left at the same time as me and asked, did you like your food? I said no, there was no flavor even in my drink. She said, yeah-me too.
What an exceptional establishment to stumble upon while on vacation. Looking for a spot to grab a coffee and ended up indulging in a great Chocolate Eclair! The coffee was outstanding as well! If you are in the area you need to stop in!
Had the napoleon, both plain and strawberry are good. Almost anything you get there will not be a disappointment. Good, good, and good.
Authentic french Bakery ? These people have never been to France obviously. You can make average tasting pastries but please do not call yourself French, that is a disgrace for French cuisine.
Amazingly wonderful!! We stopped in for lunch and everything was so fresh and flavorful.
Best pastries and yummy food! The best hot chocolate too!!
Feels like home :))
Great food great service. Fresh ingredients, sauces. Vietnamese food and pastries.
Heard great things, but turned around and left after noticing the cabinet displays were utterly filthy. Upon closer inspection, there are rather large colonies of green and blue mold growing in the cracks on the bottom rack. Disgusting.
So far the best French pastries in the city. Although didn’t like bubble Tea, Tres leches and Tiramisu pastries were amazing.
CHEZ PIERRE is where you go to treat yourself. You cant go wrong here. Love this little haven of delights! Maria Foley /French Quarter
Really great classic style king cakes. I got the Bavarian cream filled version and loved it.
In town for a business trip, brought 3 king cakes home with us, two for gifts but one for us. Were New Orleans natives and the Chez Pierre king cake is one of the best weve ever eaten. Congratulations to this bakery!
Love it here! Pastries are moist and fresh and service is great. Also they have a small selection of Vietnamese appetizers! Had the Chantilly (sponge cake with strawberries and cream and more fruit) and the carrot cake.
This is our favorite bakery. From crossaints to cakes to coffee, they have something for everyone. Im giving 4 stars based on their lack of items during the afternoons. In the morning, the place is fully stocked.
I stumbled upon this little gem when I was waiting to get my car fixed. I got the tiramisu and a small coffee and my husband got a sponge cake with a large coffee. The decor is so cute resembling certain accents of Paris France, and the desserts were amazing and sooo beautiful. The service was quick price was reasonable. We will definitely return
Wife is in love with the Limon tarts.
I adore this place. The food and desserts and coffee are fantastic.
Place is always clean and well stocked. The staff is wonderful and do whatever they can to give you exactly what you want. The pastries are amazing (more traditional in their taste than youd get from a run of the mill bakery or chain like Dunkin Donuts) and their entrees are really good as well (Vietnamese inspired. So if youre looking for some Pho). Looking for bubble tea? Come to this place.
Best crawfish pies ever with a fresh flaky crust and quality filling!!
