Friendly staff and fair prices. Good place to buy sealed trading cards and gaming miniatures.
Theyre well stocked up on everything from classic video games to card decks. I dont think theyre having any in-game playing atm but I would call in to confirm. Theyre moving to a new location also.
Ive been playing Magic the Gathering since 1993 and I have not missed a pre-release since Stronghold in 1997. So Ive played at lots of different stores all over the country and +1 Gaming is one of the very best. Friendly staff and good prices plus a great location!
It is a good store. Things are a little pricey. Good environment and staff is very kind.
Good selection, clean building, friendly (mask wearing! 👍) staff. One of my favorite spots to get dice and gaming supplies.
Great gaming store. Friendly staff and patrons. I travel from across the city just to come here. There really isn’t a better store in the New Orleans area.
These guys are great! I spoke to Justin over the phone about doing curbside pickup and he was incredibly polite and helpful. He came to the car masked and gloved, was quick, polite and professional. Please support these guys!
Great place with a nice selection and friendly staff.
Amazing service. Great staff. Highly recommend for anything games related or adjacent.
Great gaming store with amazing service! Nathan was a delight and we will be back soon.
If youre into tabletop or video gaming this is what Id consider the local watering hole. Pre-Covid they had events like FNM. And while it isnt as big as what Ive found in other cities, it certainly takes the cake on a local scale.
The game store always has a great stock of paints, models, board games, and cards. If you are a warhammer fan I recommend giving this store a visit.
Huge and with a good selection, but the sales guy was so slimy youd think he was selling used cars
Great selection and awesome staff will definitely be going back
The best local game store. Rearranged during covid to more feature board games.
Never actually been in this store. When I called the man who answered the phone was incredibly helpful
My favorite local card shop.
I love this place, I love coming here just to browse.
The place is decently sized with a good selection of games both new and old. The service is good. And the whole store has a chill and laid back aura.
This is a great business. They hosted a game night at the local maker-space and brought games for people to try out. The store is very friendly and low key. The staff is very happy to let you browse and will also be willing to help you if you have any questions. Best part of all is that you can rent a game for very little money and try it out for two days. If you like they game theyll take the rental cost off the price of buying a new copy. They also host gaming nights pretty much every night of the week. They are very hard to find if youre like me and dont read signs. They are located behind the shopping center behind the Sake Cafe. I spent maybe 15 minutes wandering around trying to find it the first time. Dont be like me.
This place has one of the greatest collection of MTG single cards that Ive ever found. Plus the staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.
Amazing staff and great selection of games!
It may look sketchy from the outside, but once you walk in youre transported to a wonderful world of tabletop fun. The staff is friendly, informative, and not too pushy. They have everything from board games and used video games to card sleeves and miniatures. We only bought one game today, but will certainly be back for more.
The staff is friendly and the space is nice. Fairly recently came in with a broken leg and on crutches and the staff bent over backwards for me to participate in an event. I can’t speak more highly how welcoming this place is
Great and varied selection of board games and RPGs and accessories. Clean open layout, helpful staff
+1 gaming is one of my favorite places to hang with friends and play table top games. They have a great selection of board game and other table top supplies. Great stop for many different gaming and hobby enthusiasts.
Great atmosphere. Fun place to get together with friends and play some games.
An excellent assortment of board, collectable card, and other games. Most nights of the week there is something going on at the store.
The gentleman that helped us was knowledgeable and friendly. I dont understand the bad reviews at all. We rented a great game recommended by him and have nothing but good things to say. He knew a lot about many different games and was nice and fun to talk to. The selection of games was decent and my husband enjoyed seeing match play.
Great store. Theyre constantly having events and things. Fantastic selection of tabletop minis, and theyre willing to order whatever you want. Also, so many board games, like woah.
Always a friendly and welcoming place for games and gaming supplies. Stock of my favorite games has gone down a bit recently, but Jeremy and his crew will gladly order anything that you might need.
Good selection of board games and role playing games. Friendly service and also holds gaming events.
Good gaming shop, had a good selection for most games, although the miniature selection seemed a little light. Friendly staff, and a place I have visited for years.
Had a lot of fun playing in a magic the gathering tournament here. It was my first time in the area and didnt know anybody. The crowd was friendly and enjoyable, would like to play here again.
Friendly staff, willing to order what they might not have in stock. Great sales and board game rentals. Delightfully surprised with getting free promotional stuff with one of the games we bought.
Typical looking game store of moderate size. Good selection of games at reasonable prices. Playing room. Supports mtg and Pokemon. Very friendly staff.
I bought a Pokemon prerelease from here and it seemed weird that the plastic looked resealed, so I decided to look past that. I opened the plastic and the box was creased very badly as if someone folded it inward, and all of the packs were glued as well. I believe this product was resealed. If this is the case, this is very bad practice on the stores part. This could also explain why they were selling older prerelease packs. Overall, Im disappointed in my purchase. I will not be buying sealed products here again.
Clean environment, plenty of tables, and well stocked for both card and table top gaming.
Very friendly local game store
Awesome local, family owned board game store/community gaming center with knowledgeable staff who can guide newcomers and adepts alike to new games, new opportunities, and new worlds full of potential friends!
Very nice staff, I go mostly on Tuesday when they have Call of Chathulu, or some other RPG. Nice selection of 28 mm figures, and books. There are always people playing trading card games, if that is your thing. Also, they started selling video games. The clearance rack has some really good deals.
Being pretty new to tabletop board games Jeremy was a great help, we played rental games in store and Jeremy took the time to help us learn how to play and recommend games similar to what weve enjoyed this far.
Nice little shop. Smaller selection but the staff was very helpful and friendly.
AMAZING PLACE! I wish the location wasnt so obscure because I cant think of a better place to buy and test board games!!! I love going there!
Staff is so sweet, always helpful, and very welcoming to new players!
Great place seemed to be lots of people and quite a few games for sale.
Great place to play Kill Team, 40k and 30k. Very friendly.
A little hard to find but great place for gaming enthusiasts. Very helpful and friendly service, very knowledgeable about magic the gathering game cards with a huge selection on hand for sale.
Great shop for table top gaming enthusiasts to come together and play what ever it is that they desire. This place is a hidden gem thats tucked away, and If you like D&D, Pathfinder, Magic the Gathering, Pokemkon, or almost any other tabletop or retro-gaming platforms, then this is the place for you.
Owner is present, helpful, and involved in making game events happen. Staff is knowlegable on a variety of games. The location is clean and welcoming.
Nice selection of games, from NES-Current generation.
Fast and friendly with great prices
Great place to play your favorite games or buy your cards, minis, and board games.
This place is clearly set up for gaming. They have a little retail scene, but its almost like its an after thought, rather than the stores purpose. Not a complaint, just an observation. Now, on the gaming side of things, this place couldnt BE any more set up. Tables enough for CCG games to be going on, at the same time as battles from every available table top war game, and STILL have enough room to walk around. Very cosy environment for gamers.
Great store wish there were more like it.
Great game shop, plenty of room to play, a little more expensive than the other local shops.
Best local game store within 60 miles of Slidell.Odd board games, Warhammer, MTG, yugioh, and even retro video games - this store has it all. The staff is great, the store is clean, and youre always bound to find like-minded geeks/nerdy people.Make sure you sign up for their store program, and good luck leveling up!
Great local vibe, gamers were eager to get some games in with the new guy also.
A great local gaming shop. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable.
Didnt have Battletech but did have ccgs
Great selection. Also I found out there will be a mythic qualifier around June
Great gaming store, helpful and friendly staff.
Always get great customer care and their prices are quite competetive! Great games great atmosphere!!
Greatest gaming/ trading card business ever to exist, friendly staff and great prices
Great shop nice friendly atmosphere any employees there are amazing nice people
I love the fact we can rent games before buying.
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and always eager to assist.
The owner cares more about preserving his own ego than to admit a simple tournament mistake.
Jeremy, and his outstanding service, selection, and gaming tables as well as the community make it more than worth the drive even from Hammond to make it my go to store for my gaming needs.
Games are fairly priced and you can rent them!
Always an awesome place with a professional atmosphere and courteous staff!
Great place love comeing just to hang out n play table games
Open gaming, rentals of all kinds, and lovely staff. Couldnt ask for more!
Selection was ok for a game store. Wanted to buy a ton of MTG cards but couldnt haggle as the boss wasnt there. Shame as I would have dropped a ton of cash here. I even offered to ask if the employee call him but no.However, staff was super friendly. And even offered to help with a ride back to my hotel when I couldnt get an uber (I did eventually!).Id play here if I loved locally and the negative reviews were abit harsh.
This is a very respectable game shop. They keep up with *most* of the recent game developments, and they dedicate a large amount of space inside the shop for tabletop & card games (like Warhammer, MTG, etc).
My first time in, about 2-3 months ago, I was made to feel as though I imposed myself on the clerk by asking about the soda prices and if they had any more snickers in the back; the empty box was still on the shelf; there isnt much on any of the shelves around the floor. The noise level in the store makes it difficult to keep up with what the DM and fellow players are saying, even though were literally sitting next to each other at flimsy, folding plastic tables. Im not sure why the group insists on meeting here.
Baught a Zelda ages game for game boy advance. The game did not work. I would expect this if I had potentially baught a game like this from a thrift store or garage sale not a respectable gaming business.
Last time I was there I asked a guy if they had a game and he accused me of stealing dice. Proved I didnt and never got an apology.
Great place for FNM or other organized weekly tournaments.
Being an attractive female gamer normally i enter places like this with gritted teeth KNOWING Im going to be pestered and or asked a million questions to determine if Im one of them.theI have met 2 dnd groups on seperate nights and joined both because the play is enjoyable and Im not oogled by kids and men twice my age. The folks are all friendly helpful and do not tolerate nonsense. For anyone saying its all in who you know. I moved here from florida. I didnt meet Jeremy or Angie until I walked in Wednesday. And i was treated with respect and invited to play Saturday by another group. I play MTG. As well as dnd and i will most definitely be back every wednesday and Saturday.
Terrible store. Hygiene of the store and the owner are atrocious. The owner lets his wife run the counter most of the time and she doesnt know anything about games, and is hostile to the clientele. If you hate the customers you deal with dont open a store. I would give it a 0 if I could. AVOID
Huge selection of games, plethora of staff to help, and a great atmosphere.
Awesome game store. Card and board games, not video games.
I thought this place was going to have vintage gaming consoles.. when i walked in everyone looked @ me as if i were going to rob them. Tbh i was more uncomoftable than they were. Not by the judgemental glares on these mid aged mens faces. It was the fact that that i might have to bash one of the grease coated hippos for trying to have a staring contest with my girlfriend. When i was asked by an employee if i could be assisted i proceeded to tell him i was under the impression i could purchase an old gaming console like NES here. He made a pretty childish move and forced his@eyebrows down as if i i were dumb forcnt being able to see through the windowless shack that they call a store. The people acted like a tall handsome guy with a fade and tattoos along with his spanish girlfriend were blasphomy in thier little dragon realm. All in all this is a retail store for overpriced playing cards and anime trinkets, for that stuff is recommend a local comic book store. Try the one in fat city by lakeside. BSI I think is the name Besides that its just a bunch of sweaty obese mid aged men playin card games on beer pong tables in a tiny bland room with terrible design for any gamin community unless its chess. Not that card games are shameful or anything but these guys and their personalities are pretty much the epiphany of pathetic. Im ashamed to have losers like this in my community but it is what it is. If you dont believe the negative reviews here go try it for yourself before they either change their atmosphere and attitude or run out of whatever allowance they have to keep the lights on in this place. Just saying I warned you.
Decent selection, won a store credit when I checked out. Cant beat that!
Pay no attention to the sockpuppet and astroturfed reviews posted by friends and acquaintances of the storeowner; if there was a time when this store was good that time is long past. Now it is defined by the incompetence and arrogance of its owner and frequented by people who have no better place to go, poor saps who look around at its ever increasing emptiness, compelled more by nostalgia for the store’s early days than its ability to fill their needs. For a very long time the only store to visit was Galactic Goods, whose merciless overlord affectionately known as Slimy wielded his monopoly status like a scythe, culling souls from his desperate clientele to offer to his dark lord, Satan. When plus1 opened, those tortured souls came here, rather than sit in the sweltering bowels of that hellhole and now Galactic Goods is, essentially, dead and Jeremy has become drunk with his status as the new monopoly. There is always music playing to entertain you, and by entertain I mean annoy. Loops of anime songs, 50s music, no name post punk garbage; it has the air of people desperately trying to seem hip but coming off as hipsters. You’ll have plenty of time to remark at the ever-vanishing selection of merchandise and ever-increasing supply of junk rare Magic cards as you wait minutes for Jeremy to stop playing Warhammer and assist you. If you’re lucky, he’ll show his top-notch customer service skills and passive-aggressively insult you or imply you stole something he misplaced. Maybe he won’t wait on you at all as he ignores the real people lining up at the counter for the miniature people he can physically push around. If Jeremy isnt working, never fear, if you were hoping to be insulted that can be taken care of by one of his new employees, who gives patrons offensive nicknames (even racist ones). It seems the only customers he has left are Magic players, although I don’t know why. The prize is laughably cheap, because Jeremy, a crack addict who has gotten into dealing, is hooked on opening his own product. Pay $25 for a prerelease, win, and get three packs. The prize that doesn’t make it into the hands of players ends up in his display case for sale at ludicrous markups. The tournaments often start late and last way too long. He’ll buy just about any Magic card, because apparently he read a book on business that said a store’s function is to take more product in than it puts out. This store has to be on its last legs. Every time I come in, another shelf has disappeared and the number of people in the store has dropped. Jeremy is inept and over his head and should probably reexamine his life choice to keep this store open. If he is stubbornly refusing to pack it in because he wants to outlast Slimy, he is in for hard times because Slimy is a millionaire and can keep his place open indefinitely. You can’t outwait the Devil. This store used to be good, for about a year after it opened. It is good no longer. Now I call it plus1 because every time I go there it gives me another reason never to return.
This place has a great gaming community. Their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
I came here to deliver a pizza. I then noticed the address read 1/2 after it. I looked around and finally noticed some cash sticking out of a grate. When I went to retrieve it, a voice came out of it telling me to slip the pizza inside in exchange for the pizza money.I slipped the pizza inside and grabbed the cash. However, when I went to check it, I realized they stiffed me half. I asked them where the hell the rest of my money was, and the guy said he NEVER pays full price for late pizza.Such b.s. I can believe these turtles these days!!!
This place bolsters not only an enormous supply of gaming goods from TCGs to board games to RPGs and tabletop, but the best part about +1 is the community. With two owners who make it their business to get to know you, and helpful players willing to share their time and knowledge +1 Gaming is the ideal hotspot for gamers of all ages.
Love +1. Amazing owners, awesome staff.
Card/Board games, fun place!
Fantastic LGS
Best mtg around
Locally owned, very friendly, community oriented.
Great staff and great atmosphere!
My favorite gaming store in the world.
Super nice and helpful staff.
I have been there a few times. I got the feeling that I was an inconvienince to the staff. This is not a friendly gaming environment.
Staff is wonderful!
Coolest spot in the land!
