Actually enjoyed this place disregarding the negative comments. I got a newer ninja bike which was a bit more for the day but I didn’t have problems with it. They aren’t high branded scooters which is why it’s cheap to rent them so you get what you pay for and we enjoyed every bit of our $100 for the day deal. Will come back next time in Miami.

Hot Wheels rents unsafe motorized scooters. Dont rent here. They perform the basic amount of maintenance on scooters to keep them running. Once you take it around Miami and it breaks down, you are at their mercy because you paid cash in advance and left a mandatory credit card deposit.My group rented 5 scooters from Hot Wheels in South Beach. 1 scooter broke down nearly immediately, but luckily we could push it back to the shop and swapped it for a new one. Later in the day another broke down completely. When i called for support they informed they were going home for the day and my credit card would be charged a towing fee in the morning. Instead i found an owner of a pick up truck and paid him to drop the scooter in front of their shop. In the morning we returned all scooters and washed our hands of this place. Awful customer service. Customer were blamed.If you do rent here:- only rent newer scooters, the older ones arent maintained at all- stay in south beach, if your scooter has issues outside of their coverage area, they will charge a towing fee- avoid putting down a credit card if you can

I rented on 1 March and 3 March, I am still waiting for my deposit back of $200 each equaling to $400 that hot wheels still owes me and we are going on a month now and I still have not received them. If anyone else had this issue with their deposits please let me know I go with TCF Bank.

Walked right in, rented a scooter that seated two and we had a fantastic one hour ride around the area. It was fun and at a great price. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend them!!!🛵

Worst possible place to deal with. I brought a motorcycle for a tune up, then it stop working after 1 mile. I brought it back, they informed me that they will change one part and it will cost another 100$ but thats only thing that has to be changed. Then the next day they called me and ask for extra money, and guess what they change the part but the motor still didn’t work. They ask for extra money for diagnosis and told me there is multiple parts that has to be changed but they wont tell me which one until I pay more. At the end they return it with a broken light and not working. I requested to talk to the owner but she refused to answer. Avoid this place, horrible mechanics! SCAM!

This was my first time renting at this place. First time in Miami actually. I can honestly say that their customer service is absolutely disgusting. I called earlier today to complain because my boyfriends bike had no working headlight, I spoke to Yani and she was so quick to brush me off without even letting me speak. I understand that they were busy but i had a simple question and she told me to go look at my contract which I did not have handy because I am on vacation and I was swimming in the pool. The female worker, Yanni, was extremely rude and inconsiderate. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. The only person who was actually nice and very accommodating was Jose who has only been working here for two weeks. Overall my experience was not as satisfying. If a worker can’t handle a busy wave then they clearly shouldn’t be working in the customer service industry.

I had a great experience with Hot Wheels Rentals & Tours! The customer service was impeccable and I just loved driving around Miami with my scooter. The reservation process and drop of the scooter was quick and easy. I had no problems at all and drove pretty much everywhere in Miami.Highly recommend.

Very good experience. I asked for a scooter with big luggage box in the back, and they bought a brand new box and installed it for me for a 3 day rental ! Scooter looked beat up but mechanically was perfect. Starts every time, we went far into Miami twice and no issues (you go at your own risk, they dont cover towing if you get out but scooter is fully capable). Used the toll bridge, they charged me very fair fees for tolls. Id rent there again anytime ! Ah yes, they provide a lock also for the scooter.Good job guys ! Cheers from Montreal !

This little scooter store didnt show up on Google when I searched for scooter rentals. I was actually looking for the one right next to it and happened to stumble upon Hot Wheels. Its a great little store. Ive never ridden a scooter before and they had me on a scooter and ready to go within 10 minutes. the price was very reasonable and the staff answered all the little questions I had. I definitely recommend it.Also I had a blast riding the scooter around Miami beach!

Booked online for a 5 days picked it up on July 20,16 was told about the $200 refundable deposit (which I already knew so all good there) returned it July 25,16. There wasnt any gimics or surprises. We had a great time on it we literally went every where on 1 tank. You have to bring it back on full (1 gallon) . And the time you pick it up is the time you have to bring it back. Great staff as well!

Go to another rental place!! They steal your money first they tell you, you can travel at your own risk outside of miami beach then they charge you for traveling outside of it Also we had to pay for a toll that we never went through. They start charging you dumb things When you return the scooter. RENT FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE

Needed a bike chain and lock. They had a few to pick from, the price wasnt bad and staff was friendly. Looked like they had a lot of stock and other cool items too.

If you look at my review history, Im pretty generous and give the benefit of the doubt in any situation. Im very rational, patient, and fair. However, if I could give this establishment zero stars, I would do so for the first time in my review history.The beginning of the rental started out decent. It was cordial, albeit slightly awkward. The beach cruisers were were renting werent ready to be rented. Though we didnt find this out until after we paid. After we paid, the bikes didnt have handlebars ready, and two tires needed to be changed beforehand. We thought this was odd, but didnt want to deal with a flat tire later on, so we didnt say anything.When we were about 5.5 miles away, the chain on one of the bikes snapped right in the middle of A1A, in a very dangerous situation. We were forced to walk the bike back. We did not want to risk leaving the bike there for any reason this would come back to be an issue.In the morning, we decided to return the bike that had the chain snap. Rightfully so, our friend did not feel safe riding their bike especially after having the chain snap on a major road. We went to return one bike and asked for a refund on that single bike. I believe his name was Oliver. He made a phone call, and returned the 3 day rental fee (65$). He then proceeded to try and charge her for a single day use ($30). I jumped in and said that doesnt seem right and is absolutely unprofessional. We are being very understanding in the situation and we are not asking to return the other 3 bikes, just the one bike that was not able to be used. Her chain snapped and we were not able to use the bike. He proceeded to say Well I already made a phone call, its too late. I proceeded to tell him that he needs to make another phone call then, because this is unacceptable. He immediately lost his temper and came AROUND THE COUNTER in a very aggressive manner telling me to get the f**k out of his store. We were all in shock at the situation because were were being more than courteous and rational. I didnt think it ever snowed in Miami, but clearly his behavior showed he was hit by a blizzard.To add to the insult of injury, the next day another bike tired popped while we were yet again 5.5 miles away. We had to find a van taxi to take the bike back. We had another day on the rental but we returned it anyways. We did not want to deal with them any more.Be incredibly wary of this establishment and hope you dont have any issues.Edit: In response to your reply, I thought Collins Ave and A1A were the same thing, so this was my misunderstanding in not knowing the area. I just checked the map and realized they are separate roads. We stayed within the boundaries. Thank you for your reply!

A replacement key is supposed to cost $65 however they wanted to charged us $400 for other charges we were NOT liable given that they did not have a spare themselves. For instance, they charged us for an ignition replacement. They would not reason with us so now we have to dispute these charges through other legal measures

Save yourself the headache and do not rent from this business. I was told that the $300 security deposit would be returned within 24 hours of the scooter being returned. I believed this to be true as I rented a vehicle from enterprise car rental with the same credit card during my vacation and the hold was taken off immediately. I called after waiting 3 full business days and was told that the issue was on the credit card companies end. Today, 6/3/16, I contacted my credit card company since the scooter was returned on 5/24 and the charge is still listed as pending. The credit card company stated the merchant needed to release the security deposit hold on his end and that for it to be done automatically, we would need to conference merchant in. When contacting the business I was told that I needed to call back later because he was with a customer and that he was being rude to his customer by speaking to me. I think he forgot that I am a customer too. Needless to say, I will not be using this business in the future when visiting Miami.

Dealt with many agencies and Armond from lux was they best. Gave us the wow experience Bikes were mint And went out of his way to get a Harley Davidson for an old Hog rider that is part of the family. All and all just great. Thanks to Armond a true professional.

If I could rate zero I would!!! Lady had a big attitude and was very unprofessional and was trying to cheat us on prices, She thought that because we are a tourist she can hustle us!! But that’s didnt happen cause we are hustlers too!!!

They sold my boyfriend a scooter but before he bought it they changed the battery to the scooter they changed the chain so after a couple of days of riding it would break down so within the 30 day ...so when i bring in 3 times they got hostile n aggressive they machine put his hands on my boyfriend n wanted to fight because my boyfriend said they scam artists beacuse how they lady owner going to said 30 day warrenty n now theres isnt n make him pay 45 dollars for there error n on top of that she diddnt give him a tittle to sign

We lost a key and so it was suppose to be $65 for a replacement but they didn’t have a spare key so they charged us upwards of $500+ because “we had to pay the for ignition because they didn’t have another key”

An unpleasant service experience, the guy who works in an unprofessional place, tried to accuse me of damage that I did not do, the price of the rental is not worth the price, (very expensive) Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else

I took my scooter to change a light, after two weeks the light stopped working. They changed it again at no cost. Well!I went back to have the speedometer cable fitted and I took the cable because they charged me something of US $ 30 plus the service, something of $ 40. They opened the motorcycle, discovered that my cable did not work, they did not have the cable, they closed the motorcycle ... they charged me a minimum for the work of U $ S 25 !!!! As I complained (although I had to pay lis 25), they told me that when they had the cable they would call me to put it on my motorcycle and they would discount that $ 25 ... they never called me again. I find it embarrassing and a scam to charge 25 of minimum, I understand $ 10, but not $ 25 !!!!I feel like they stole my money and made fun of me.I got another mechanic who charged me $ 10 and did the job! I do not recommend this place.

I went to this place today, Thursday, April 12, and the lady who attended me is a rude manger, treated me in a not very correct way. I wanted to change the rubber on my motorcycle and I preferred to go somewhere else ... be giving customer service
