Let me start off by saying HIGHLY RECOMMEND TATTOOS BY LOU. Place is clean, friendly, attentive, and you’re going to get what you pay for so don’t think it’s going to be cheap (not that you should be wanting a cheap tattoo). My tattoo artist was Jose, I showed him my design and he drew it up PERFECTLY, exactly the size I wanted and just how the picture looked. He said he was going to do some shading and I told him I trusted him. He took his time, set out his supplies and got ready. When it was time to tattoo he made me comfortable and made sure I was ready. He took his time, was not heavy handed and let me tell you, I HAVE A PIECE OF ART ON MY ARM. I’m so happy I told him I trusted him and let him make the piece his own because he made it all the more amazing!! The vibe was cool, comforting and Mari was there, she was very friendly and came over to look and made me feel at ease. I highly recommend this shop and Jose is an amazing artist. I will be showing off my tattoo when I get home and I couldn’t be happier!

I came here to get my belly button pierced with my friend and we had a great experience!! Ray did our piercings and she was super cool and made sure to make us comfortable during the whole process. Ray also pierced the cartilage of my other two friends and did an amazing job, even talking to us to help our nerves. My husband wanted to get our sons drawing tattooed on his arm. Honestly I was a bit nervous but seriously Edson did an AMAZING JOB! The tattoo is exactly like the picture! I was so impressed, I decided to bite the bullet and get my first tattoo with him. He is a true professional and takes pride in his work. Rod and the Tattoos By Lou Clan are absolutely awesomely skilled, knowledge and just so real, they are so understanding and attentive to making the tattoo bring eternity/past/present/future in a moment... meaning that the care was there to find out the meanings of the past thats carried us to get said tattoo in that moment and solidifies it forevermore... so yeahh you can call it Tattoos By Lou but when you think about it... its more like a time machine with a bunch of Doctor.Whos bringing art out of the pain with the possess of healing and seeing the reminder expressed from within onto the skin.

Alex did an amazing job! I booked him for the day and he did above and beyond what I wanted for my arm tattoo. The line work and shading were phenomenal. He knocked out a neck tattoo and another small tattoo for me as well. By far the most detailed tattooer Ive meet. Could not be any happier with the tattoos I got 2000 miles from home, its the highlight of my miami experience so far.

Actually had to switch my appointment to the south beach location because the artist at the kendall location had some time conflicts. Needed this done ASAP since I was leaving town, and AMAZING. ALEJANDRO SMITH did the work and I could not be happier of how things turned out. Absolutely love it and would definitely recommend. 🙌🙌 Alejandro even added his own touch to the tattoo and enhanced the artwork 10X. Incredible.

I went to Lou store 4-5 days ago because I couldnt take off my earring, which I put on my ear cartilage 6 months ago. There was a black woman (i havent asked her name)SHe immediately received $ 10 before trading. After sitting in the seat, she tried to remove the piercing earring from my ear, tried for about 15-20 minutes. But I could not tell you about the pain howmuch was it omg! that I have experienced during this time. my neck and ear were completely tightened and turned red. SHe said she couldnt take it of from my ear and I had to go to the hospital. I didnt want to do this, so I asked her if there was anything like scissors to cut the earring out. And I could no longer bear the pain I was experiencing and I got information about how to get the earring out of where I bought it and said that I wanted to come back and asked what I paid; sHe told me that she would get paid again and that this was not the case for her, but it was precisely her incompetence. Because after that, as a chef in a cafe, I told my friend the situation and he held me from the back of the earring with pliers in his hand and took the earring out of my ear in 3 seconds without hurting me. Ive never seen a piercer as AMATOR as Lou. I am very lucky that my ear is not damaged or infected. I NEVER recommend you go.

Just got my cover up tattoo done by Jeff at the South Beach location a couple of days ago and I must say that I am a little disappointed from the finished product. I had a smaller rose from about 14 years ago that was done from Jade Dragon in Chicago and I wanted to get it touched up and redone so I went to Tattoos by Lou thinking my cover up would be done flawlessly but it was NOT! Jeff kind of rush my tattoo session and I think that I was over charged for the work that was done. I wanted leopard prints behind my rose cover up and he promised that they the leopard prints I showed him on my phone would look better than the pic I showed him but they do not look like leopard prints. It honestly looks like he did not know how to draw the leopard prints and he created his own prints. Before we started the session I asked him was this his first leopard print tattoo and he said yes but Ive been doing all kinds of tattoos for several years and leopard print is not hard to do. Unfortunately I live in Chicago and I was only in Miami for my b-day weekend so he knew that I wasnt going to come back into the shop with my complaints anytime soon. It just sucks that I have to wait until it heals (30-40 days) and find a local tattoo artist in Chicago to correct Jeffs mistake. Thanks A LOT Jeff :(

Excellent artist named Joe just completed my piece. He was awesome! If you are looking for something special go see Joe. His art is amazing, he has great detail, shading and precision all while keeping a soft hand he definitely took the time to make sure it was just right for me and I couldn’t be happier. It’s too bad you can’t post photos because its amazing what he created in just a couple hours. Also everyone else at the shop was so great to us too, highly recommend! Thanks Joe! Gustavo was awesome, took what I wanted and customized to make it look even better. Me and my girl both got small tattoos about 3” in diameter, he was quick, professional, work came out awesome and wasn’t painful by any means. From someone who has several tats, this was a great experience.

Looked for and found old school Sailor Jerry ink. Got great recommendations from Rod about tattoo placement (I have a sleeve and a little left to finish on my other arm). Settled on the black cat 13- love it! Great conversation and very clean studio. Great prices as well! A must stop for any ink collector!

Everybody there was extremely nice and outgoing. My tattoo was done by joe, he was always making sure I was doing fine and he was very smooth and it really relieved most of the pain. I highly recommend getting your tat done here especially if it is your first like me!

We were visiting South Beach and decide on the spur of the moment to get tattoos and piercings..the staff fit all three of us in and pierced and tattooed us. The staff was friendly and honest about our tattoos (we received finger tats) and gave us a fair price when the other shop across the street wanted to charge 150 bucks for the same tats...Fox was our artist and I cant remember the piercer but it was the Male piercer. They both were clean and professional.

Nice place just walked in was able to get a piercing only bad thing was it was SUPER expensive for a nose piercing $65 most of the other shops i found here were half that price.

I’ve known this shop since the early 90’s and it sets the bar for professionalism in tattooing for me. After reading these awesome reviews I have to say that the tattooist is only half of the equation. It’s the wonderful clients that make the tattoo experience successful as well. If it weren’t for you we couldn’t do our jobs so well. People like George Docherty are a great example of how well things go when the customer is enthusiastic, polite and so easy to work with.

Joe at the South Beach shop did an amazing tattoo of Miles Morales’s logo from Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. He even did the paint drips on the logo as well. Definitely recommend!

Came here for my fiancée to get a tattoo since Jeff had tattooed me years ago and the colors on my tattoo look just as great today as they did years ago. First impressions are everything Nina greeted us at the door with a smile. She was super friendly and helpful and professional. Today was the 3rd tattoo session for a full sleeve and color was placed. Looks amazing. Have maybe one or two more sessions and look forward to seeing. My fiancée is not from here and specifically comes to South Florida for the tattoo. Highly recommended.

The piercer Matt made me feel extremely comfortable and calm. He made me feel like I was in good hands and he made my nervousness go down a lot. I highly recommend him if you’re going to get any piercings.

I have 9 piercings and have never had a problem with any of them, I had my nose done here and it’s been 5 months of nightmare. The piercer clearly didn’t know what he was doing. He told me he could pierce with a hoop instead of a stud and others didn’t do that because “they didn’t know how”. He also told me as I was leaving to “spin the hoop” to help it heal, which I know is also totally wrong (had the same piercing before). I looked him up on the website after I left and he wasn’t even on it— not sure why they were letting a rando amateur pierce unsupervised. I finally had it removed today and it turns out I didn’t even have a piercing because he put it in incorrectly. Super irresponsible of the business owners. I’ve had a swollen, painful face for 5 months.

My sister had got tattooed there and they have her a set priced tho party and she paid it in full. Going into the tatt my sister was in pain therefore the tattoo artist asked if we want to come back later and he told is we wouldnt have to pay since we paid in full. After that it was hard to get a session and eventually we heard he left without fininshing my friend tattoo. TattooBy lou ended up rasing the price outrageously and not giving us any refunds or deal due to the mishap on their part 👎👎👎 anyone who wants to go there be careful

Cindy told me and my firend it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait. sent my ride away. after an hour she told me she had made a mistake and it would be a 5 our wait. Had to call back my ride!! She was rude an unapologetic. WONT RETURN!!!!
