I have been going to Blue Collar since they opened. One of the only restaurants in Miami that’s always consistently on point. Also - low key one of the best burgers in town. Easy 5 stars.
Popular restaurant in the area but still wonder how and why food is greasy/salty as hell - service and hygiene leave a lot to desire. Glassses, floor, kitchen, rest rooms are dirty ... and nonchalant staff does not bother wearing masks even while cooking and speaking over the food ...gross !
I didnt like the pancakes, they were not tasty at all. I was pretty much overlooked as a patron for people that came in the restaurant after me. I had hair in my bacon, and it wasnt mine. The coffee wasnt smooth, just not a good experience. Im glad I went so I wont go back nor refer anyone else to go there.
Great little small hole in the wall. Tasty menu. Good idea to make a reservation because there arent many tables.
I just had what is easily in my top 3 curries I’ve ever had. Maybe it was the mix of the spices with the maple roasted carrots, but either way, it was awesome and definitely not what I expected here in Miami! Make a reservation and go! Super cool little place with the kitchen right in sight of the seating.
Blue Collar always delivers on that homey, delicious, heart-warming vibe. Grandmother approved. We always enjoy our meals here, and now love the outdoor bench area.Dont miss out on the epic Key Lime pie. Its not to be missed. And its the real deal. The burger, brisket, grits, fish, and vegetable sides are all delicious.
The food is tasty but lacking presentation and wow factor. Conch fritters were tasty, latkes were ok, pasta was good very heavy but well seasoned, fried rice was good. I cant put my finger on it but theres just something missing maybe its vegetables, not my first choice but not my last. Love the grassroots concept. May need a feminine touch.
This is not a fancy place but a more relaxed environment to enjoy some southern comfort food, it is small, only a few tables but the food is good, I would say great for a family dinner. We tried the Miami Spice menu, one good thing about the menu in this restaurant is that they let you choose the dishes from their main menu, so often we see restaurants offer Miami Spice menu with very boring dishes that don’t really reflect their everyday menu, so, good for you for allowing your customer to choose an appetizer, a main course, a dessert and, different from other places they even include a beer or a glass of wine all for $ 39 @bluecollarmiami
Absolutely delicious food and great service! I ordered the steak and eggs. My steak was cooked perfectly. Everything had amazing flavor. My wife and I split a piece of Key Lime Pie, it was the best I have ever had!
With tax and tip, a simple coffee and rigatoni with meat ragout is $29. For that you get a big gross undrinkable coffee and a ragout that tastes like its from a can, with too much tomato, and pasta that tastes like its out of a box. I guess this place gets by on its looks, because the ambiance isnt much to speak of either. Maybe the other dishes are better but Im not gonna find out.
Best burger Ive ever had. Everything was amazing!
I went here for lunch. They have a wide ranging menu. I liked the filet mignon until I saw they had grouper. I also like brussel sprouts. They have lentil soup. So I ordered those 3 and pictured them below. They have other foods Id like to try such as the ox tail. I will check this restaurant out again.
First time visit of this tiny restaurant. Looks are deceiving and although the menu is limited the food is very good!I had the lamb shanks with mashed potatoes. The gravy or sauce was excellent ..very inexpensive and well worth a visit
It was my first visit to your restaurant, and I was extremely pleased with the service provided by your staff. They were incredibly courteous and informed, and I purchased my favorite pasta from them. I could also see they were dedicated to his work. Really, you guys did an amazing job! A higher level of service would be highly recommended! Until the next time!
Adil and Johnny were absolutely amazing! They were immediately helpful with parking. They knew our reservation, and they were extremely knowledgeable about the menu items. The food was to die for!! I had ox tail and loved it! I’m addition, the restaurant was nice and clean. I even went to the bathroom and it was very clean. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for kind, hospitable service in a clean environment! The Blue Collar is a must try!
So I thought the place was closed when I arrived. The sign on the door says that it is closed between 3-6pm. We arrived for a very late lunch at 3:30. As we were about to leave, the host came out and said the sign hadnt been updated since COVID and they were open. So... We got to eat a Blue Collar.I had watched the episode of Diners Drive-Ins and Dives and was looking forward to the Ragout. It looked so good on the episode. It turns out that it didnt disappoint. The flavor was crazy. It was an absolute taste explosion in my mouth. I couldnt ask for more. I loved it. The whole sandwich was just so good. I also swapped the fries for the brussels. That was a great choice as well. The Brussel sprouts were very well done and had a great amount of seasoning.I also tried the mac and cheese. It was good, but I didnt love the flavoring, but that is just a personal preference, so no reason to ding Blue Collar for that. It was perfectly cooked and had a bunch of flavor. The prices are right in line with most of the restaurants in Miami, so it is properly rated at $$. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend it.
Great spot, delicious food. I had the sandwich with Brisket on Portuguese roll and potato pancake. Very flavorful. Service was quick and good
We found this place on a humble and Im so glad we did. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing! The restroom was clean as well. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered shrimp and grits and oxytail. Both were delicious!
This place was a bit pricy for the food overall. I liked the food and really didnt have any complaints. However, the prices were a bit high to only have enjoyed the food rather than loved it.
Tried this place for a late lunch and I have to say, it was amazing. Very small inside, but it has a nice outdoor area. I ordered the braised ox tail and it was to die for. It came with delicious mashed potatoes. Not everyone can cook ox tail, so, if you’re a fan this place knows what they are doing. The meat was so tender you didn’t need a knife. I like spicy 🌶 and I ordered it medium at the recommendation of our server. I’m glad I listened to him.My husband ordered the big ragout, and big it was. It was served with hand cut French fries. We will definitely return. If you are in the area and want to try something different visit this place. You can’t go wrong.
Two thumbs up and all the stars in the world to the server working lunch yesterday (Tues 7/27)! I came in solo, famished and in a hurry and was treated like gold. The food was awesome and the service was spectacular. The hot coffee thermos, snackin’ cookies and the amazing service really turned my day around. Thank you!
Tasty dishes are in this wonderful and classy restaurant! A week ago, my friend and I ate our dinner here. Were so amazed by the place and the staves. The ambiance of the place was so cozy and elegant. The staves were so friendly and fast. We were so satisfied with the service. Huge thanks to you, guys!
Huge plates and tasty cuisine. Professional stuff. Great job guys.
Ok, this place has been here FOREVER!!! They have gone through two remodels since 1948, and yes this is when this place opened. The hamburgers are wonderful at this old school bbq hamburger joint. There are no frills, just good food, serve yourself, sit and enjoy. It is sort of divey outside, but well worth walking in. Prices are good, you will not be disappointed
They have a lifetime customer out of me. Food was great. Loved the burgers and onions rings were really good too. Love the atmosphere. Fun place.
Great food and service. Adil helped us navigate the menu and his recommendations were on point (shrimp and grits, spicy oxtail, key lime pie, etc.) all delicious and heartwarming food!
Much gratitude to you for your food. Its so new and delightful, and it eliminates the work and secret from my clamoring existence concerning eating. Food assortments are Astonishing! You have a customer until the end of time! Much gratitude to you for giving me the best devouring experience!
Ive probably been about a dozen times now, mostly for takeout. Theyve been great every single time. The brussel sprouts in particular are so, so good.
Shrimp and Gritz was amazing! We came after watching DDD so got the big ragout and spicy oxtail, neither of them disappointed! When they say spicy.. they mean spicy though!
Recommended by the Vagabond Hotel, we were glad we walked over to the Blue Collar, a very unassuming casual and cozy restaurant. The menu is very creative with many choices from creative takes on standards, shrimp eggs Benedict, to burgers, Macn cheese and my favorite a take on a French dip but made with a juicy thick sliced brisket on a Portuguese muffin (?) and served with home made potato pancakes and yummy applesauce. Good selection of brews. Didnt have any room for dessert.
Blue collar was excellent. Great restaurant and food was perfect. We arrive for a late lunch... the place was a bit empty with just a few tables. The place is actually very little. Inside is about 6, 7 tables and a few outdoor tables. Open kitchen plan and a specials board on top. They have a good selection of beers and wine. But the best part was the actual menu. Lots of options... from salads, sandwiches and big main courses. Price was very reasonable not expensive at all.I had the oxtail with a side of cauliflower curry mashed potatoes.... the best part were the mashed potatoes and the oxtail had a super good spiciness level and braised to perfection. (Not a menu item)My friend had the grilled trout with beans and bacon also very good.I recommend that you try this place if you can. It is definitely a good restaurant. The place is very inviting and feels welcoming.
I need the blue collar playlist. It slaps. Pls lmk where I can find it
Another Gem in Biscayne Boulevard, every dish i tried is delicious, lots of dishes to choose from and their veggies are my favorites... and their burgers with blue cheese too. 😋 is very small but worth going to experience their rich and flavorous dishes. Brunches there are one of my favorites. The cantine feeling is great, very creative and fun to experience. 👍👏
The shrimps and grits was good but they should have been hotter
3.5 stars. They serve a nice mix of comfort foods in their own unique style. They also offer a good selection of vegetarian options. The ox tail is out of this world. Its perfectly succulent with a hell of a spicy kick that still allows the flavors to shine through. I lived in the Caribbean for a few years and have had my share of great oxtail, and this one is up there with the best. The only dish that I found lacking was their ragu, which was lacking in flavor, texture, and inspiration. Overall, I would still recommend, especially for their excellent oxtail.
Yum!! My wife and I traveled to Miami recently and saw Blue Collar on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. We decided to visit and were very happy that we did!The food was amazing. I had the ragout sandwich and my wife had the conch fritter sandwich. My sandwich was huge but the taste was what sold me. It was so good that I ate the whole thing, I probably shouldn’t have. The wait staff was great as well and I really appreciated our waiter’s efforts to make our meal perfect. I’ll be back the next time I’m in Miami!!
Very great food and service.really enjoyed our dinner. The filet mignon was tender and had good flavor.I would recommend if you are in the Biscayne Blvd.area please try this place you wont be disappointed
Amazing food, great service and very cute outdoor area.
Totally recommended. The food is very good, the staff is super friendly, and the Mac and cheese is great!Im looking forward to coming back!
This is a great little spot with outstanding food and even better service. Went for brunch on a Thursday after hearing great things and we were not disappointed. Food was delicious with huge portions (neither of us could finish our meals) and the staff are all super friendly.Eat here, you will not regret it
The owner is manning the grill and is such an awesome and friendly guy! The burgers and fries are very good.
Sensational!! Seriously wow’d by the quality of the food here. Clean and friendly small place and the service was on top of it and with a smile. I will be back as often as I am able!!
One word FIRE🔥🔥🔥. Blue collar is a true hidden gem off of Biscayne. The food quality is simply amazing at an affordable price point. I would even say the food is better at some more well known Miami restaurants. We had the chicken parm, ox tail (my fav) and the Grio, all of them were tasty and savory but the best for our group was the Grio, if you go this is a must. You can park in main lot right next to the restaurant, the hotel is not open so its fine. I cant believe they have been here for 9 yrs and Im just now experiencing Blue Collar. Its casual and unassuming but you will highly impressed with the food. Adam, who took care of us was great and very honest with his recommendations. I will be coming back and telling my close friends and family about Blue Collar.
I very much love the food and service, excellent location right next to my house. The employees are always super friendly. Would recommend to others.
Solid, simple and clean food! Always good to come back to
One of the best dining experiences Ive had in Florida food was great service was great they were very accompanying to my pet melo.it Cant wait to go back.
Miami Spice 2018: great food in a no frills space with good service. The restaurant itself is very small and is right next to the open kitchen. When we first walked through the door we walked into a wave of smoke... so we sat outside. We enjoyed every single one of our dishes with special emphasis on the shrimp risotto, fried gouda (off spice menu), and bread pudding. If you do not like spicy foods, i highly recommend you substitute the cayenne whipped cream for ice cream. While the bread pudding itself was absolutely amazing, I couldnt eat the cream and was left wishing I had something to wash the dense bread pudding down with.
Delicious food with a relaxed atmosphere. They are up to date on menu food and younger crowd in Little Haiti. They also have a great selection of reds and whites with varying affordable pricing. We definately recommend the shrimp and grits, breakfast burrito, scrambled eggs & pulled pork BBQ Benedict. They have highchairs for kids but no changing table on the bathroom for kids. Outside area to sit in as well. Parking available at the Inn next door to it. The owner was around and very good at keeping everything going along with the wait staff. Brunch spot for sure!
When we walked in the door we felt unwanted by the man behind the counter and two guest at a table. We felt discrimination in the air as we asked questions. It was so bad when asked for menus I was told that they were by the door. We left, my money is green and spends just like everyone elses. I havent been to Miami in a long time but this place didnt leave me wanting to explore any other local places.
The best ! Just try everything its all good even if your not a vegetarian if the veggi platter is rocking with all types of goodness. Also being from The Bahamas the conch fritters are on point ! Also all the staff are awesome !
The place offers a large variety of delicious food. I enjoyed dining here. Staff members are always super friendly, prices are fair and the spot is always clean.
Ok went to lunch here with co-workers on Tuesday, October 3rd and here is my take. We ordered the following:Appetizer - conch fritters, they have a very good flavor, but a little too doughy for my palate, less flour would work.Apricot chicken it came with mashed potatoes. The apricot chicken was good, but I think boneless thighs would work better, but good flavor. The mashed potatoes were delicious.Ribs which came with potato salad. The ribs was absolutely amazing fall off the bone tender and a very good flavor. The potato salad was just ok.Philly cheese steak was delish and the French fries were good real potatoes too. Will we go here again, probably.Oh btw the waiter was awesome and the place is kinda small, but cool vibe.
Dont bring northern city airs & graces to Blue Collar please, its fine just as it is, a funky hole in wall.
I had a wonderful experience in this restaurant. The server was certainly made my stay memorable and great. All of their foods are so tasty and at a very affordable price. The serving of orders is so fast and worth sharing. The atmosphere is great and interior designs are picture-perfect. Highly recommended!
Once again, thank you for making my dinner so nice in your excellent restaurant. The food was wonderful, the service was great, the atmosphere was cool, and so much more!!! Fight on behalf of all of us! Hey! Greetings!
Came to Blue Collar on a dinner date and the food was very good and flavorful, everything was fresh and well seasoned. The people who work here were all extremely polite and atentive, but not overly present, which is a great convination, me n my girl both felt very well taken care of, but never bothered nor rushed. Will more than likely return here very soon to try more things in the menu, we both were very satisfied and glad we were recomended this place.
This was the first time I visited this Restaurant, and I am very content that I came here. All of my favorite foods were right here and it was all affordable. They served it professionally and on time without any delays at all. I deeply admired this Restaurants assistance. Their wonderful and affordable service was strongly recommended!
Once again, thank you for a nice lunch at your wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, the ambiance was relaxed, and there was so much more!!! Thank you so much for your work and efforts.
Much too pricey for whats served. Not saying the food is bad but its a definite turn off to order something well described to really not get much in taste. Ordered the Dry aged cheeseburger which read well but was, to me, nothing more than a burger... sorry to say but 5 Guys cheeseburger is much better in taste and more than half the cost.
We had a reservation at 7. Got there at 6:30. This guy had a reservation also at 7 and because they had 3 tables reserved we had to wait more for another table to open even after our table had been promised. Our waiter tried to get us our table regardless and tried to accommodate us. However, this guy who seemed to be a higher up, was basically refusing to accommodate us over the other tables. We didn’t even eat. We left and ate the the restaurant next door.
The shrimp and grits were just okay in my opinion as I have had better. I got some tea and the water container they brought was completely dirty. It looked like they got it directly from a garage. Will not return. Unacceptable.
Blue Collar is one of my favorite restaurants. This is a tiny restaurant with huge character. Every single item on the menu is delicious and the portions are very generous. Their burger is exquisite. We enjoy going for brunch, one of my go-to favorites is their Egg Benedict. They have a small terrace outside which is super nice to sit at in the cooler months. Their staff of amazing!Pro tip: Make reservations before heading out and go hungry.
My absolute favorite!!! Adam and crew are awesome. The chefs are amazing. The best burger in town. Everything else is pretty darn good too. Cant wait to go back and I just got home from there.
The staff was not attentive. I had to wait on one of my sides and my other food got cold. They cleared the table next to us, but did not clear our table. The server gave Blue Collar coffee cups to a few guests, but when I asked he said that he couldnt give me one. They dont treat all their patrons the same. I came from ElPaso Texas anxious to eat there. I was very disappointed.
The food is always well prepared and delightful, employees hands out awesome customer service. I like how clean it is and atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot.
Wow, just wow. Absolutely amazing food and super surprising amazing wines. The veggie board is an amazing feature here. The best key lime pie we have ever had. Just so amazing!!!!
Nice dinning but expensive for what it is. Servers are always super nice! Ive tried the burger and it was just fine
Best food I had in Miami!
Blue Collar deserves to be crowned THE champion of Miami Spice dinners. It starts off with your choice of any beer or glass of wine (excluding Pinot Noir) from their menu. Next, choose any appetizer from their menu. Then, choose any entree from their menu (including their Daily specials). And finish off with either the key lime pie or heath bar butterscotch bread pudding. All the other Miami Spice menus can sit down, because Blue Collar is the real winner.Apps:Conch frittersDuck quesadillaCuban spring rollsVaca Frita TostonesPass on the Fried GoudaEntrees:TroutCrispy skin SnapperCorbenPass on the Hanger SteakVeggies/sides:French friesBeets w/ goat cheesePass on the Brussels sprouts & the bacon shallot peasDessert: BREAD PUDDING.The Key Lime Pie was good but that Bread Pudding is GREAT.
