This Ulta location is very nice. Its clean, well organized and the staff are really friendly and helpful. A few years ago, they had some customer service issues but they have greatly improved their service to their customers. I felt welcomed and seen. My recent visit was to the salon for a clipper cut. I never realized how nice their salon set up is. It was very clean and enough room to social distance. The young lady who cut my hair was so nice and professional. She made sure to ask me along the way, how I liked it cut and was this okay. She did a great job considering this was my first time going to her. About a week before my most recent visit, I went to Ulta for some finishing powder and the associate suggested one made by Morphe and I really like it. I will be back and I would recommend this location. They have a lot of product selection, good customer service, a well kept store and fair prices.

I find that the treatment I receive changes depending on how I look. If I come in dressed down and makeup free, no one is willing to help--tonight I couldnt even get an associate to help me locate the sleep masks. I was told they dont carry them beyond the Ulta brand.Wrong.Now, if I come in dressed up and full face of makeup, theyre climbing over themselves to assist. I expect this kind of treatment at Sephora.I think the associates could do better to treat all customers the same no matter how they look.

I was really shocked when I got to the register my eyebrow wax was $22. I’ve never paid over $12. But over all when I look at it I had good service, she told me what she was going to do and ask if that’s how I wanted it done and most importantly she took her time working on my eyebrows. So it definitely was worth $22

Staff is very helpful. I was impressed with the clerk at the register. She wiped down the counter surface and credit card machine with anti bacterial wipes before she waited on me.

A sales lady latched onto me and wouldnt leave me alone even when I asked her to. She kept following me, it was horrible!

Ive been to so many Ulta locations, and this was by Far the best one! I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and was offered help multiple tines.I was approached and shown all the nee best palettes that were affordable and a bit more pricey, and I was told about all the other things the store offers for the first time ever!Definitely would Reccomend this location to Everybody!It has the BEST customer service out of anywhere Ive been!

Customer Service is inconsistent. They can be so rude from the time you walk through the doors! I thought it was me but when my daughter in law came in from Canada and went shopping here they made the same comment! I only stop by when I need to. Id rather shop online. Places like this need seasoned beauties on staff (like me) Cosmetics are diverse and those who are selling & promoting it should be also. It can help with communication

I got what I needed. But I have to say, when the Michigan city Ulta first opened it was The BEST Ulta. The girls were always friendly, helpful & knowledgeable of the products. They always looked trendy but professional. Sorry to say its not that way now. There are a lot less girls in the store to help. If I ask about a product, Ill get Well lets see & they read me the label on the packaging. Really?? If you dont have knowledge of your Prestige products, how can you sell them. There are 2 girls that are always helpful & they know there stuff. Also the Benefit Brow girl is awesome! So, I dont know what happened in staffing this store but it needs improvement! So my advice is, if you know what products you want & how they work, its a good store. If your looking for knowledge of products and how they can help you, stick to Sephora or Macys.

My daughter and wife went to this stores salon to get there hair done and the girl doing their hair did a great job. They both came home with big smiles on their face and both of them looked beautiful. They took photos of their makeovers all night and just kept saying they really enjoyed the hairdresser jenn. My wife has had her hair done by the same person for years but she decided to go somewhere else. Shes really glad she went to the salon here and im glad shes happy with her new hair. Thank you jenn for fixing my daughters hair and making my wife happy.

While I love Ulta the staff there has not been very friendly or helpful on my last few visits. They are disinterested in customers. I didnt receive a smile from either clerk checking me out or the girl I asked to assist me in finding an item.Suggestion: if you put a coupon out then how about if it applies to everything? I hate limited coupons.Also, and this applies to ALL salons.... I would love to try out the services: haircut or nails done or make up, but I dont want to be on display while doing it. How about some privacy? A nice, quiet, private room so i can converse with the hair/nail/makeup techs?For the price of services I should be able to relax and enjoy it, not watch people staring at me while they shop.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a variety of name brands of makeup, hair care and perfumes. Example they handle Estee Lauder, Clinique and many others.

I booked an appointement to get my hair styled. I show up on the day that was scheduled and they informed me that there was no stylist in today because she didn’t have enough appointments. Could of called & let me know instead of the day I was supposed to get it styled. That being said I’ll never make an appointment here again, they didn’t even seem sympathetic either.

Update: The first time Carson did my brows they were absolutely perfect. Second time, they were very uneven. 50% success rate is not satisfactory.Very clean and organized, but a bit small so less selection. Staff is great. See Carson for your brow waxing! Shes awesome

Ulta has pretty much anything you are looking for...sometimes difficult to find things. Never did find shampoo for my gray hair. Clairol makes one that is purple to remove chemical and iron buildup. Ulta does not carry it. Also Ulta is super expensive!! I get a few tiny things each time I go and it is always over $50. Painful.

The ladies here are not as friendly as the store in Merrillville. Once, when it was my birthday month, I forgot my coupon & they wouldnt help me get a new one or give me the birthday gift. When I visited the Merrillville store, those ladies were very helpful & accommodating & found a coupon to help me save money on a purchase. I only come to the Michigan City store when I have to.

My aunt went there to get her makeup done for her bday party 5/18/19. She showed them a picture. She asked for light brown/ copper Smokey eyes . Her eye makeup was terrible gray eyeshadow all over the lid under eyes instead of concealer and on her temples. No lip liner and some clear gloss. She had 3 ppl working on her face. Terrible for $55 this was worse make up I’ve seen what kind of service is this ulta???Not going there ever again.

Juvia Place full coverage foundation is sill not held at this location. And all I was told was well you can drive to the Ulta 45 minutes away. Thanks! Not to mention you out out of half the foundation in the tarte section!!

Redken, Matrix, and Kenra, is sold next to OGX and Not Your Mothers. Ulta is a one stop shop. Everyone is so helpful and friendly!

Fantastic store, despite me not wearing make-up.

I had a very distracted hair stylist, my haircut was ok . . . but not great. I even had to remind her to trim my bangs before leaving. My hair is super curly and she seemed a little clueless as to how to stack it. Thats her job to know not mine.

Honestly this location is pretty gross. Hairy lipsticks to swatch and very disorganized. I only pick up new releases from here.
