Good to know that the price has hadnt skyrocketed like Shaws. But the wait in line to get checked out was pretty long at least 20 minutes. I think that this is due to it being Sunday but also the due to a shortage of cashiers.

Folks who like this store haven’t shopped stellar chains!Their computer system is the pits if you want to take advantage of their coupons. And when the checkout system fails you in granting the coupons you’ve signed up for, good luck getting that corrected, even if you note the problem while still in the store. They “can’t” do it locally, they tell you to call the corporate customer service line, which was a reallllly long undertaking. And then, though it was a fresh transaction, I.e. all coupons still current, they made me read all the info on my ticket for them to transcribe, couldn’t simply pull it up, AND tell them what coupons I had thought I was redeeming and for how much. After all that, they were not empowered to refund me, had to send it to management, with no idea when a fix may occur. My coupons were worth $22+ or I wouldn’t have hung in there. Now I’m all the more determined. But I won’t go through this again.

This is a GREAT HANNAFORD,wish the one in Rutland was like it.

We are from out of state and camping in the area. We purchased a package of Organic chicken brest and it was the worst I have ever had. Cooked it like hI have cooked chicken in the past on the grill It was hard in places and stringy. It was like they glued it together. NASTY.

What can I say? Stellar groceries in a wide variety at reasonable prices, and packed nicely at clean registers by polite, friendly staff. I appreciate shopping here because I can take care of my special needs diet and love of a variety of international foods. It’s my go to for a bunch of products I can’t get closer to home, which I’m so grateful for!

Good store with nice employees. Once I was looking for a product they didn’t carry in stock and after helping me search, a manager apologized. The very next trip to this location the product was in stock. I can only assume the manager included it in his priorities to order.

Have never had a manager (or anyone) be more rude, tried to be helpful and they responded in such a disgusting way. So very disappointing at that experience. Should have just left and not bought anything. Terrible service.

Least favorite hannafords. South Burlington and Rutland has better customer service. Self Check out person was in a foul mood today around 2. Maybe they are over worked. I feel bad about that. Just do not take your misery out on others.

They sell so many different varieties that its almost overwhelming! Produce is set up very attractively, bakery has a large selection of breads, pies, cakes, donuts, deli has ready to go meals as well as sliced to order meats and cheeses. The meat department has wonderful butchers ready to cut to order the way you want. Spacious aisles make it a breeze to shop!

Super clean store with really good selection and great produce. Pie pumpkins on sale for less than farmers markets. Good selection compared to any other small towns around here. I will probably have to drive to Middlebury more often just to shop here... however, prices are still higher than I am comfortable with (.99 for a single cucumber and 5.99 for a quart of yogurt), you really need to shop sales.

Getting used to where things got moved to. Wish dairy free stuff was together. Great supply of gluten free, Sametime it would be nice to have a guild where things are or learning what is available for special diet foods.

I like this supermarket. However it is by far the worst customer service out of the Hanafords l have been to. Everytime l go in something goes wrong. I didnt get proper change so they send it to corporate.Cosemetics arent bagged, then it gets put back on shelf and the theyre out. Cashiers hit wrong buttons for cards so your card wont work. Then they act like its your fault.

Nice overall, but the bakery is lacking more pastries. Donuts are just so and no selection. Cookies (1) chocolate chip are good. Nothing but grocery store fare. However, the muffins are good but small. Its no Shaws! Everything is overpriced!

Nice grocery store with good variety. Its always clean and well stocked. I can find things here i cant find in the smaller Vermont super markets.Updated for the pandemic - At peak times the line can get a little outrageous. There is now one long line and an employee directs folks to a check out. I changed my grocery shopping to later in the evening to avoid peak times.

I go to this Hannaford location to get things that I need right away, have run out of or if I just need some milk or other staple. They have less of a selection than the other Hannaford locations as they are a smaller store. The store is neat and clean, but in need of updating, and the staff is usually friendly. This is where I go for a gallon of milk or other such last minute things but I usually do my weekly shopping trips at other stores.

Large grocery store that is kept organized and clean. That said the prices are pretty high compared to Shaws and the other groceries stores I shop at. I found their red meat selection to be pretty awful, but that seems to be the case in this area unless you get it straight from the butcher.They have a can recycling machine which is why I even went here in the first place. Decided to do my shopping for the week there and dont plan on ever going back. $4 for a can of chicken noodle soup, $3 for a box of barilla pasta, that sort of thing just is ridiculous. I never was a big fan of Hannafords when I lived in MA which had way more options for grocery shopping. Unless I have to, I wont be shopping here.

Busy, very busy. Easy to find what I was looking for. Not enough registers open. One closed with people still in line. Making those people move to another line at the end. Glad I wasnt one of them. I would have left my cart full and went to shaws. No reason to make people move to another line.

I gave the review a 4 only because of the normal prices compared to the other grocery store in our area. Yes, we only have two stores to choose between. I would give it a -1 if possible for the fish department. I refuse to buy any fish from our store because it is always so dried out and unhealthy looking. I never see anyone being waited on so apparently Im not the only one that feels that way. The other store has a fantastic fish dept. Hannaford workers should be trained to remove the fish at nite and set it out in the A.M. Ive noticed they put butchers paper over the remaining display at the end of the day. No thanks. Otherwise the prices are better than the other store but only without the weekly specials they have. If it wasnt for getting my prescriptions at Hannafords I would not be going there very often. A neighbor state has a super store and I shop there once a month filling in between with specials.

Great variety and selection. Ok prices, watch the ads for deals on meat and such. Be aware if you go there after 8:00 pm, the deli, fish department and custom meat counter are already shut down and the aisles/floors are nearly blocked with products for restocking, even though the store does not close until 10:00 pm.

Clean and well lit. Selection is good but Hannaford has a bad habit of discontinuing some of its most popular products. The prices are lower than Shaws and Price Chopper but the prices are still on the high side. Forget about trying to special order an item. You have to go thru the website and youll get nowhere.

Helpful employees, clean store, but the prices are a little high and the Hannafords Rewards program isnt worth bothering with as I was saving less than 10 CENTS on grocery bills of $60-75 dollars. I switched to Shaws and its costing me less.

Good food fresh and reasonable prices

Their customer service needs to really learn a thing or two. I ordered a cake and it looked nothing like the picture they advertised. When I said something about it all they would tell me is that the directions told them to do it that way. Its false advertising and if they do nothing about it, then they arent a very good company or store in my opinion. They never even offered to make another cake. It was a horrible experience and my daughter didnt get the cake she picked out for her birthday. As a result from lack of customer service I will never shop there again. Food is so expensive so I guess another store will be getting my hundreds of dollars a month since I have 7 people in my house that I feed.

Perfect Store, I reside in Brandon 14 miles South and shop here, the staff is much more knowledgeable and friendly, everyone is polite and courteousthe brandon store is a joke, rude and arrogant employees there that wont even say hello when you say hello to them, if they hate their jobs they ought to leave I sayso in my case its worth the travel for great service

I have just returned from Florida where I bought most of my groceries at Publix. Publix stores provide exceptional service such as - helping the customer UNload their cart. Today I was offered the same assistance at the Middlebury Hannaford Supermarket. This is a welcome service for although I am in good health now, at one time it was a physical problem to bend over to unload the cart. The checkout lady and others throughout the store seemed to be more helpful. Kudos for bumping up customer service in your grocery stores. BTW - I especially like your donut holes. Please consider getting Oscar Meyer chopped ham, if you do youll be my destination grocery store.
