I went to the Home Depot in Middletown NY. Customer Service Desk was pathetic. The tag said at the shelf said one price and the computer gave a different price and they wouldnt even check the shelf to verify what I was saying. Pathetic. Never, ever, did I have this problem at Lowes. Ive only gone to Home Depot for Milwaukee tools. And Im even started going to other companies online. And for Home Depot people that read this, yes it an authorized dealer.
My husband and I went home depot to buy a gardening soil today. We asked one of the employees for location of gardening soil. He wasnt nice to us. Feels like, he didnot want to hear our questions. He said, what? I dont understand what you say.
I always enjoy going here. Because of their over section. But heres one caveat, getting items restocked from the top to where its accessible really is a pain in the rear.
This Home Depot is well organized!! I always find everything I need and very quickly! The associates always know what they are talking about. It’s always very clean in here and if they don’t have an item “in stock” they can order and have it the next day. Even during the holiday times they are very quick and efficient even with all the madness of the Christmas trees and holiday decorations. I got all my holiday decorations and cords and cables from this place with ease!

Scott Rutkowsky, the manager, was incredibly rude and unapologetically dismissive when I brought to his attention that my return was not scanning properly. His eyes were bloodshot red and glazed over. If I had to guess Id say he was either high or drunk. He literally turned his back and walked away during our conversation. He couldnt get away fast enough. This guy has no business running a store. I will be reporting the incident to corporate.
Cant commend Jose, store assoc, enough for the patience and professionalism displayed today while helping me buy an air conditioner. Store manager Andre was just as helpful and courteous. All stores of any type should be so lucky to have employees as graceous as these two gentlemen!
I had an amazing experience at this Home Depot today, I was greeted when I walked in, kindly helped out to find the items I needed, and someone even helped me get the items in my cart. The cashier Tracey who checked me out really was so kind and has amazing customer service. She is truly an asset and deserves promotions/pay raises up the wazoo! :)

Delivery from this Home Depot Is absolutely Horrible! I only requested delivery on two orders because it was too large of an order for pickup. Both times the delivery did not arrive at the estimated delivery time. In fact they never showed and I had to call the store for them to tell me the truck wont make it and then rescheduled me for three days later. No apology by the way. On top of that both times the delivery finally made it I had items missing. When I called the store to find my missing Item I was put on hold for over an hour! Really it takes that long to find out where my purchase is? As of this moment I will need to head down to the store to track my order that I paid for delivery for.

Delivery is really bad, they gave me Monday delivery, they cancelled the delivery with no notification then delivery was schedule for Tuesday, they went to the wrong address and brought back the items back to the store instead of finding the correct address. Now delivery is separated in 3 deliveries for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I wont be able to go to work for the whole week? This is insane. Will not buy anything at this store anymore.
Ordered a few appliances, including a dishwasher. It came with a bunch of water in it. So much so that the user manual was soaked. I called to speak to a manager and he said water won’t damage the appliance and to just let the manual dry out. He didn’t even offer me a new manual so we had installation instructions.
Very helpful staff. They’ve helped me on several occasions get exactly what I needed for my various projects.

As a home improvement person. I being visiting this location for 7yrs. Always find everything that I need.. If is not what I am looking for, at least I find, or they suggest something similar to work with.. Good workers, clean and organized environment.
The staff are always friendly here and the shelves always stocked so I can find what Im looking for and be in and out, however, the reason for three stars is based solely on cleanliness. Bathroom was a mess and floors were not very clean. This trip I was with my mother to help her pick out paint colors and supplies for her kitchen. The floors around this area were littered with paper and other trash. Walking out near the registers was also a mess.

For big box, they were, have been and continue to be the innovators and leaders in home improvement retail. Niche items are NOT their forte, all the popular home improvement and latest trends are there.
It has everything. If you can find staff to help you, even better because then you can find it! Prices are fair and stores are conveniently located.
This is a terrible store with terrible customer service. Do not buy any appliances from this store. Even if the appliance you bought does not work, you won’t be able to get a new one or a refund from this store. When you call customer service, you’re told under no circumstances can you return a newly bought faulty appliance. They have a no return policy for appliances. Stay away!

I believe her name is Taylor I’m not sure. She’s very good with costumer service. She’s very helpful and helped me check out at a fast and polite way. There needs to be more bubbly workers there most of the time the other ones look like they don’t want to be there. Other than that Home Depot is one of my favorite places to shop.
Called ahead and ordered a product because they only had 1 available. I walked up to the desk. 6 away and was greeted by the employee immediately. She knows her stuff! Asked my name, pulled up the order and had another employee get my product! Great friendly service.

I have tried so many times to be positive about Home Depot Middletown but I just cant! Unfriendly, rude, lazy workers! Employees have earbuds in their ears while they work so unable to hear you! Do NOT RECOMMEND!

My husband and I came to this location on 11/9/20 with the intent to purchase a new kitchen appliance package. After narrowing down our choices, we waited to speak with a salesperson. My husband was able to get the attention of a young lady working in that dept. Her demeanor was atrocious and it was apparent to both myself and my husband that she did not want to help us. She did not make any suggestions to help our situation (we needed a fridge right away but decided to replace everything). She walked away and we left the store. We went to Lowes and got the service that we deserved and the package that we desired (plus an instant rebate). They were also able to give us our refrigerator prior to the arrival of the other appliances. Your salesperson lost you a $5000 sale.

The store is great, has everything I ever needed.. But the loss prevention officer Bobby is a wannabe cop. He thinks he is a cop. I had to knock him out once bc he tried to tackle me bc I had a alarm sticker stuck to my boot, I didnt steal anything. All charges were dismissed. He continues to work there and harass inocent shoppers for no reason... He needs to go.
Three stars because they had what I needed and the cashier was a sweetheart. The good thing about their website is, if you put in the Middletown store, when you search for what you need, it tells you the aisle and bin where its located. This is especially helpful because the employees that walk around like zombies arent helpful at all.

Drove 3 hours to get the floors that they had in stock but before driving to the place, my husband asked if the guy can hold the floors that we wanted to purchase and he said no. He also said that no one is going to purchase them anyways. We get there and some guy bought all 43 boxes of the floors we wanted. You would think the guy who works there would have kindly hold some of it for us but no. That didn’t happen, what a disappointment. The customer service on the phone is horrible too. We waiting for 30 minutes to speak with someone in charge of flooring

Visited paint department twice in the past week. Both times received competent, helpful service. Friendly staff doing their best in a very busy department.
This afternoon, I went to Home Depot to get a screw to help me fix a drum stand. I asked ta young employee standing near the door, Jose, were the screws were and he too me there promptly. The screw I needed was fairly unique, but he was extremely patient and checked the entire section to get a screw that was perfect for the drum stand. He didnt stop at finding the part, though. He too me to another part of the store, took a wrench and screw driver of the shelf and fixed the drum stand for me.The whole trip cost less than two dollars, but after seeing this level of care and professionalism, Im sure to come back again.

They also have many sections than some home depots have. Great customer service when I had to return an item as well. If you do not have the receipt, they give you store credit!

I was looking for 2x4s for internal support of a platform bed I was building. A knowledgeable associate in lumber told me I was over spending on prime select and even suggested on get construction grade 10 footers and have them cut in half since the bed was for a full size mattress. Turns out I saved close to $25 and my cuts were free because HD allows up to 5 cuts free. Overall my visit tonight was very positive and I saved money!

We order items for curbside, the contactless option and waited over 25 min after texting, attempting to call several times with no one pickup up. Therfore we had to go in to the store and sort the issue out, which happened without issue however the whole reason we ordered the way we did was bc we didnt want to have to go in to the store....
My wife put an order in for a pick up for curtain rods as lowes did not have what we needed and even before this I would never go to home depot as all my experiences while living in IL, CT and NY have been nothing more than less favorable.. Originally it said that it would be ready shortly then the status was changed to and I paraphrase we do not have enough people working and are overwhelmed by the amount of people we have doing proects hat we cannot fulfill your order that will takes fie minutes to grab, your order will be ready tomorrow if you do not have enough staff to keep on top of physical and pick up orders than dont offer them at all point and case. I now have to run there to pick up something that I could of gone to the store and came home ten times over.
This Home Depot is making significant efforts to support shoppers while maintaining appropriate sanitary conditions. Plexiglass around the registers and self-checkouts seems a bit much, but I guess you cant be too careful. I found the staff to be extremely helpful with questions during my visit and even helped me load bulky items into the car. My only complaint, however, is the fact that the credit card terminal at the garden center register was not working properly. The cashier and I spent several minutes trying to get a credit card to authenticate. I offered to try a different card, but was told that the machine had been acting up all day. The cashier handled my card several times before the transaction finally went through. This is really unacceptable in a time when we are trying to limit contact with others. Malfunctioning machines should be replaced quickly or customers should be routed to other registers.
