Superb service. Highly recommend it.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, can be busy at times.
I love this store! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly!
Absolutely the worst service. Rude, weird & uninformed staff. Im all for individuality but the guy who helped me looked like a goat-boy tryout. This self-styled bad boy was sporting the regulation mosh-pit poser garb, piercings and avant garde eyebrows cutely trimmed into separate patches (tri-brows?). Not seeing any other staff present, I took a deep breath, braced for the tude I knew was coming and explained that I was looking a starter guitar rig for my sons birthday, something Im sure theyve heard a thousand times. He looked at me like he had no clue what I meant. He didnt offer any suggestions, appeared to know next to nothing about the guitars they sold and barely spoke. I had to pry every detail out of him about the few guitars we looked at, not that he knew that many details. He acted the whole time like I was wasting his time. I spent $400 that unpleasant afternoon and at the register he made it clear by his hostile glares that he was doing me a favor ringing up my card. The positive reviews about their friendliness seem dubious to me. Maybe they charm if you are a neophyte middle school parent who just wants flute lessons for your kid and are willing to grovel to them over their musician status. I dig music and have been playing drums for over 30 years. From their website, they look like the real deal but I didnt have that kind of solid experience at the store. When they opened, I was so excited to check out their kits & support MOT local but frankly Ive dealt with junkyards that were more accommodating. Save yourself the indignation and go to Accent.Epilogue: I went back later to buy drum music and goat-boy was still there. Nobody in the store and he still broadcast intense rudeness, disinterest and lack of knowledge. No such thing as drum tabs? Really? Someone needs to tell google. Arent musician types supposed to be cool, mellow and know music?
If I can give ZERO stars I will without any hesitation. They have the worst staff with major attitude issues. You walk in as a customer and ask them something, they get irritated for doing their job. Guess all they want to do is listen to their iphone and spend free time there !! There is a guy by name Josh - he is among the worst ! The second is his manger I guess, the one with the long hair. I dont want to even remember his name. When my daughters flute was repaired and sent here (5 visits and yet they dont have a clue whats going on), these guys acted as if Kirkwood store is responsibile and was extremely disresepctful. Throwing the client files on the table and one guy almost approaching me (Josh) with an attitude to confront. The other guy with the long hair started yelling and pointing fingers. My daughter and I exited with embarassment. This is what we get for being a customer for 5 + years. Kevin from Kirkwood store on the other hand is very gentle, helpful and completely customer oriented. Middletown store - no wonder has only few customers or students walking in even before COVID. The staffs there definitely need customer service training and importantly emotional intelligence. A bunch of arrogant inexperienced men showing their anger and frustration in life on customers ! Pathetic & Horrible !! Stay away from this store if you want a good customer experience overall.
This store is probably better suited for school aged musicians. A majority of their business is with students and they seem to provide great services. In terms of buying a guitar, there is not a great guitar selection, nor do the employees seem too interested in selling guitars. If you are a guitarist or a starting guitarist I would seek advice or expertise else-ware. This store seems more interested in selling what they already have rather than making sure the guitar is the right choice for the person. Which granted is most stores, but I have heard of them suggesting right handed guitars for lefties regardless of which position is the most comfortable to play. This school of thought is antiquated and a red flag in my opinion.
My son was adamant about getting drum lessons for months. I finally gave in and decided on checking out Music and Arts. The guys there are really friendly, and the place is always well kept and organized. My son loves it. Nice local area for music books, drumsticks, and well-priced lessons!
Extremely well equipped local music store which specializes in student instrument rental and music lessons. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff of actual working musicians. They have the ability to custom order any instruments and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place.-CG
The most helpful and considerate manager and staff you could ever expect. Every time I go, I feel like a friend is helping me out. The selection is outstanding, never to disappoint.
As the parent of a middle school musician, this store is convenient for us and will order something quickly if they dont have it. I havent been thrilled with our music lesson experience (some seem over priced and its rare that you get your full time due to so many lessons scheduled) am not sure that we will continue with lessons if we can find alternative. However, my son thinks his saxophone instructor is great and thats an important part of the experience. He needs to be comfortable with who we use.
Did a quick Google search & seen this place was super close so i swung in to grab some chords for my pedals & it was cool to see they were giving lessons & were also giving away free guitars to the kids. Definitely good vibes all around
Highly recommend. Every experience has been great, highly knowledgeable caring employees.
I have visited this music store on several occasion and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. The music teachers are professional and great with children! Also, the owner is very nice and willing to help in any way he can...including discounts!
Middletown Music & Arts is truly your one stop shop for all things musical. From their knowledgeable Sales Associates and their Private Instructors to their wide selection of instruments, accessories, and sheet music, they have it all.
Just bought a beautiful console Piano here by Mr Collin !! I love it . Highly recommended this nice place 😍 .
Just made a phone call to them to see if they had something before I drove down there. John answered the phone, so pleasant !! He went out on the floor, found what I wanted and then asked if I want it held behind the counter..Perfect Customer Service!!
My nephew loves coming here!
I went in and liked the staff and they helped me. Very friendly people. They sold me guitar strings.
There arent a lot of options for instrument lessons in Middletown, but we tried a couple before deciding on Middletown Music. Rachel is WONDERFUL with my daughter, and she is now excited about practicing her flute. Lessons dont always start on time because Rachel makes sure every student gets their full 30min (or more). Weve been coming for 8 months, and I have seen tremendous improvement in my daughters playing.
Horrible store. Worst customer service and prices in the music business. This place reminds me of Accent Music....terrible. Selection is poor and prices are for the rich. I will NEVER go back into this store again :(BnB Music is worth the drive. I will be commuting for my music needs from now on.
I love this shop and they have excellent customer service..
The staff and the owners (The Heath family) are wonderful folks to deal with. In the Middletown area there is no better choice.
Does not have guitar nuts..
Always helpful and knowledgeable
