Tried them out years ago at random to do some carpeting. Since then Ive used them on several occasions over the years. They have never disappointed. Looking forward to the new vinyl planking to be installed soon. They have a large selection of products. They are unique and beautiful!!! Pricey but worth it.

Island carpet, although their showroom needs an update, is a very professional outfit with capable and knowledgeable staff. They have a wide variety of flooring samples, provide fair pricing and are constantly updating their resources. It is no wonder they have won the Best of Newport award for flooring stores for many years in a row.

Maggie and Island Carpet Tile were wonderful to work with! I wanted a unique tile for our outdoor kitchen that would make it one of a kind. Maggie worked with me to find the perfect 48 x 24 tile which was perfect for a home near the water! Great customer service!

Worked with Ken, He asked me some questions about our house and what we were looking for. Dropped some samples off the next day. I just sent a picture of the one we liked. Gave me a very fair price including installation. I had some other work going on so had to change my install date...no problem at all, they were extremely accommodating. Came back in the evening the day of install and it was done and looked great!Highly recommend these folks!

Island Carpet Tile & Hardwood installed brand new hardwood floors in my home a few weeks back. I cannot say enough about the final product. The installer worked to complete the job in four days, less than what was originally estimated, and in 90° weather. Island Carpet also worked with us and were accommodating in moving our install date due to the pandemic. The final results are something my family will be enjoying for decades to come.

Excellent choice if you should need any upgrades in flooring to your home (or business)...we choose Island Carpet after researching a couple of other local places nearby, including a big box store, and so happy we did! Dave who did the actual flooring for our kitchen was friendly, an excellent hard worker, and did our kitchen/dining room in 2 complete days, total. Abby at Island Carpet/Hardwards took our original order, and she was very sweet and professional. Greg, the manager, was sincere and down-to -Earth. I purchased hardwood flooring and tile for my remodel on our first home. The service was stellar and the products were delivered quickly. The hardwood flooring turned out beautifully upstairs and the tile has totally brightened up our kitchen. We had Kens help through the entire process from design to choosing the right grout. Our house is now transformed into a home.

They offer a top quality product, personalized service with excellent pricing. Ken Fain is wonderful to work with and I highly recommend his company!!

Terrible service and terrible customer support. Stay away from here, I wouldnt trust anything they say! We had them come out and give us an estimate to repair and refinish our hardwoods and we scheduled service. They repaired and replaced flooring and the sanding and finishing was next. They contacted us and asked us to move up the date of the finishing service so we coordinated to have all of our furniture moved out and stored...then they didnt show. After a lengthy delay they told me their guy wasnt available and I should look for someone else to do the job. Having made an initial payment I refused to search/schedule and told them it was their responsibility. They finally got someone out but, the initial finish they did was poor at best. After several attempts to get it right, the entire process had to be started over. I had concerns about the quality of work as the second round progressed and shared that with Island Carpet. They assured me they would do a final inspection before the finisher would be released. Well, they did not do that and the finisher packed up and left. The floors look terrible with many spots that stick out badly. Meanwhile I had been following the payment schedule. When I withheld the past payment they came to my house and saw the poor quality the finisher had provided. They said they would provide some material and to help repair the spots needing it as there was nothing they could do to get the finisher to come back out. I asked if they would provide some sort of a discount and the salesman said he couldnt put that burden on the company/owner. I believed him about them trying to make good with repair of the poor workmanship and made the final payment. Foolish me - I havent heard a thing from them since! Summary, I ended up where I had to put up having furniture out of the house and loss of use to my house for approximately 7-8 weeks and after all that the floors look terrible. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else especially if the owner cant be counted on to do what is right! .

We recently redid our family bathroom. We had an idea of what we wanted, but really needed guidance. The staff of Island Carpet and Tile listened to us about our needs and wants. They helped us find the options within our limited budget. Their installer was on time and professional. From start to finish, it was a smooth experience. And we have a beautiful tiled bathroom and new flooring on the entire 2nd floor.

They have excellent service personnel who are very knowledgeable about products, an enormous selection of products and access to more than they have room to show, a showroom filled with a wide variety of products, professional installers, and great prices! Whether you are a design professional or a home owner with no previous experience, ICT&H has everything you need….and you don’t have to leave the island!

This is the most unprofessional business I have dealt with in a long time. Placed an order over three weeks ago with the promise from Greg that the tiles would be in within a day or two. Now three weeks later the tiles are finally in. But Greg ordered the wrong ones after seeing the tiles needed and discussing the order before it was placed. Yet he still ordered the wrong tiles and demands that they be played for. Rude, loud and overall very unprofessional. I dont think its a good idea as an employee or owner to call and leave the kind of voicemail that was left to me. Overall Id give this store a negative remark. I will never do business with this place again. So much for trying to support local businesses.
