First time ever going to this place. I was very impressed with the food, the atmosphere, and how nice the staff were here. Very much liked what they had on the menu, including the ice cream! I have to bring my granddaughters the next time. Theyll love the ice cream! The only thing wrong was one person was working as waiter when it became alittle busy, but he was very polite and we thanked him for his hard work. Definitely coming back!!🍦🍨🥤🍔👍👍

Absolutely love the Cobb Salad!

Such a cute place, we love to go there for date nights. The atmosphere is always nice and relaxing. Food, ice cream, and kid menus are available to you at the tables. Booths are spacious and comfy. Food is amazing and doesnt make you feel gross afterwards. Portions are a good size. Ice cream is always delicious. We love it and will keep coming back to it!

Good decent Burgers but awesome ice cream store with sweet drinks

Service was good, food was meh. Maybe they were having an off day. The kids chicken nuggets were processed dark meat, which i didnt care for. The little didnt seem to mind though.

Worked here rude management good food though plus dirty kitchen. Nice staff but they want to remember the menu in a couple days it usually takes a week to know the whole menu

Go here to pick up lunches for my office, first time had a horrible experience with a server, but Emory was awesome. This time I could tell she remembered me, and once again was awesome! Shes professional, quick and focused. She was training today and still managed to go out of her way to make sure that my togo order was correct. Cant say enough about her!Bethany dipped my ice-cream and was super patient since I had to call the office and get everyones order through facetime, which kept cutting out.This place always seems on the verge of panic and chaos but in the end these two ladies make it worth it!

Just had the chicken fried steak sandwich and it was amazing. Also had the southwest egg rolls which were very tasty. Been eating here for about 3 years now and have never had a complaint. The staff and owners are very friendly and courteous. Thanks again for an amazing meal!

Very disappointing. Although the place was packed, there was one lady barking orders to the wait staff, but she wasnt helping them. Paid almost $7.00 for a sunday, that had one very small scoop of ice cream. Definately dont get your moneys worth. The old time nostalgic feel is there. The old time diner feel with the bar and bar stools, that part was cool.

Cute place. But food was horrible I ordered the french dip and the menu stated it was thinly sliced roast beef but it was thick cut, very disappointed. My son ordered the frito pie and it was super salty. Also do not ordered anything extra like ranch or marinara, you will be charged without the server telling you. They nickel and dime you to death. Will will not back.

Definitely not what it use to be when I was younger when it was called Swenson’s. Got The Jojo, it was good, fries were overcooked.. my daughters burger was overcooked and thin as paper. Husband liked his tuna melt. I’d probably come back, waiting for ice cream.

Service is hit or miss but the food is awesome. Never go there without ordering the fried pickles.

Waitress was very attentive, food good and ice cream very good. Crowded busy place but service was reasonably fast.

Waitresses were the sweetest girls ever. Onion rings were good but .25 extra for ranch. Hamburger, fries, and melt sandwich were cold.

It was ok. Nothing particularly special. I think the Hamburger was a Ben E Keith frozen patty.

My first time in the place . I asked if they knew how to make a chocolate Doctor Pepper Freeze. They tried twice. The second time was dead on. The staff was kind and very thoughtful. I recommend this to anyone who loves chocolateWay to guys Ill be back. Thanks

Upon every visit here, each and every time the Holy Spirit is within this special place. One feels welcomed at the entrance and always at departure a farewell blessing is given. Staff, food and music are great! I enjoy my time here.

Burgers and ice cream so delicious!

Atmosphere is nice! Guy greeted us at the door was awesome!! As soon as we sat down she asked us what we wanted. Didn’t give us a chance to see the menu. As soon as the food hit the table she asked us if we wanted the ticket, told her we were staying for dessert she walked off. Server was very rude and unprofessional. Ice cream took forever to bring to us, it was melting when she brought it. I usually love this place. Hopefully in the future I’ll give it another chance but not anytime soon.

Food here is always good, but what sets this place apart from the rest is the consistently well mannered, respectful service staff of young people who work here, along with the Christian music playing in the background. Thank you Swensons Midland for giving these exceptional young people a positive start to their working careers!

This is my 2nd favorite place to eat in Midland. Right after the Italian village (very different soo I cant really compare the 2). Homey diner vibes. Family friendly with friendly, fast, fresh service.

This place is just wonderful. The service is always top notch and the food is delicious. Then the ice cream for dessert is even better! Very reasonably priced. Cant stress enough the friendly, home-like atmosphere!

A 50s themed diner. Food is good, service is normally good (our last visit they were training a new waitress and service was below normal. But I wont dock them for training). Definitely worth you time and money to stop by.

Their ice cream is to die for. i cannot have burgers, and they have amazing alternatives like the BLT. the employes are super nice.

There has been numerous times when I call in my order and get there 10 minutes after the estimated time they give me and my meal is still not ready, shakes are completely forgotten & the food is cold. (Makes no sense I know) On one occasion before today we got there for dinner and kept getting overlooked by the staff and had to ASK for someone in order to order. Today we walked in and sat there waiting for someone to come and take our drink order while they took care of 2 families that walked in after that. I asked who our server was and was told it was Nicole by one of the 6 girls that were standing behind the counter just gossiping. This is it for me with this place. I’m done. I’d give them zero stars if it was an option.

First time in the restaurant. Old fashioned cheese burger and fries just like moma used to make for us when we where kids. Service and atmosphere was great and prices were reasonable. Great place to eat and socialize with friends

It took forever to get drinks, I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich...greasy, little pricy. Then she didn’t check on us until we were finished. The young girls up front seem to be distracted and giggling about something. Noticed the register was ancient she was trying to get it to work when we paid. Not a good experience here plus the below average sandwich... how can you mess up a sandwich. Stop at Jack in the Box, never had a bad sandwich there.

My new favorite place in Midland. Old school friendly service. Owner is as likely to take your order as the wait staff. Food is ridiculously good - much like an old soda fountain pharmacy. Then you get to the ice cream. Huge servings and awesome ice cream. I will be back over and over again!

Been eating at Swensons for years. One of our favorite places. Nice quiet family atmosphere. Good sandwiches, salads, and ice cream desserts. Great employees. My husband and I highly recommend it. Great place to take the grandchildren!

Ordered lunch with a group of 7. We arrived at 11am when they opened. Food was a little slow in coming, but our order included custom requests and was one of the first orders of the day. Food was average and I didnt order ice cream. The ice cream selection looks quite extensive. Overall enjoyable experience.

Desserts are definitely a must here! Food is very home style but very tasty. Staff is great the facility is clean and authentic diner style.

We havent been to a Swensens since Reno years ago so finding this was a nice jem. I had a chicken fiesta salad and my wife a crispy chicken salad. Something more healthier after all the junk from Christmas! 😀 All good food and good service would recommend this to everyone.

Ice cream was o k. Very small servings. Half the size of Baskin Robbins. Literally 3 scoops was one full size anywhere else. Won’t return.

Discovered this little gem while my sister was in town visiting. We took my 2 yr old for a banana split and it was totally kid friendly, fast and customer service was great. It was half diner half old fashioned IC parlour. Very fun

Great food with fantastic service. Its hard to find somewhere to eat with good service in the basin these days, most places either forget about you entirely or bring you the wrong food in the wrong order. Well this place isnt like that. Quality food that doesnt taste frozen.
