Ordered 96 mini cupcakes in 4 different flavors for my baby shower of roughly 50 guests. Not everyday you get fancy cupcakes so I ordered 2 for everyone so they could try multiple flavors and have a acceptable dessert. One mini isnt enough. The customer service was good and the cupcakes were great! Would definitely recommend for any shower or wedding!

If I could give less stars I would. I know many people dont see the owner much, but the one time I did; I saw her talking to her employees. The woman who owns the business is the most unprofessional person Ive ever seen manage a business. She routinely yelled and screamed at her employees. I knew a former employee that told me that she would call and text them on their days off trying to blame them or scream at them for something they never did. My acquaintance who worked there told me that they had constant anxiety and fear of this woman. I know the treats are good, but everyone must see the owner for who she is. She constantly belittles her employees and makes them stay for 12-16 hours a day without warning, and then yells at them for leaving when theyre supposed to. I cannot support someone who mentally abuses their workers, that are literally breaking their backs and working the longest hours. She is a master manipulater, and I do not support it. You have lost too many customers and employees from your rudeness. Horrible establishment to support

Awesome place for cupcakes, truffles, cakes, and other sweet treats. Their red velvet cupcakes are my familys favorite. Also, sometimes they have small cakes for only $20 they are beautiful and perfect for a birthday or special event.

First of all, their desserts are so delicious. we order from them frequently and its always amazing. we got 6 cupcakes and a praline pecan pie for thanksgiving and they were loved by everyone. then, today- they CALLED us to make sure the desserts were up to standard. Seriously impressive customer service. thank you!

I was visiting from Florida, found the shop online and submitted a custom order for a couple dozen mini-cupcakes within two days of needing them. I was a little confusing, but they checked that they recorded the order correctly. OMG, the cupcakes were ready on time, fresh, decadently delicious and adorable as well. I am excited to get back next year and order more; maybe try some of the other flavors. I have no pics to share because they were eaten before I thought about that.

Staff is polite, helpful, and patient. The cakes and cupcakes are great. I would recommend placing an order for a specific type of cake as the pre-preped options are more limited than their ful menu. Will be coming back again and wish I hadnt waited so long to try them.

I went to this bakery for the first time on August 28th to see if I could have a custom cake made for my sons 16th birthday today, September 5th. The woman working behind the counter was a short heavy-set dark complected woman whose name I did not get. She seemed a little put out, but she asked me what I wanted. I pulled up an example of the cake I wanted and she explained that since there was black frosting in the design it would bleed into the other colors and wouldnt look good. So I then showed her another design. A white sheet cake Dallas Mavericks jersey and I wanted my sons last name and the number 16 on it. She told me that would be acceptable and that I needed to email the design to her. I pulled up my email on my phone and since their email address is long, I asked her to repeat it and spell it for me. She did. She took out a form and wrote down everything I told her I wanted and got my name and number and then I pulled out my card to pay. She told me that I was to pay for it when I pick it up. I asked her if it would for sure be ready on the 5th and what time I could pick it up. She said pick it up on the 5th when we open. She said if there was any problem or questions that they would call me. Sure enough, I went to pick up the cake this morning and there is no cake. No record of my order, no email because she spelled the email wrong. And my sons party is at 2pm. Of course that woman wasnt there this morning, but I described her to the two women working there and they said they knew who it was based on my description. They took my name and number to let the manager know what happened. They offered no solution and told me to have a good weekend. So I left without a cake and Im hosting a party in 2 hours. To say that I am livid is an understatement. I called Walmart and they said could make a custom mavericks cake and have it ready for me in two hours. Im usually all about supporting small businesses, but I am thoroughly disgusted by the way this business operates and I will be sure to tell everyone I know and post on the askmidland fb page never to use this bakery. Ive never had this happen before and I couldve gone to any bakery, but I wanted to stay local and give them a chance. Never again. Go somewhere else to order your custom cakes to spare yourself the experience I just had. Utterly unprofessional and completely ridiculous. And Walmart not only had my custom cake ready ahead of time, they didnt make me pay for it until I picked it up.Edit: Not only did they not apologize profusely, they offered NO solution whatsoever. When I asked what am I supposed to do, the party is at 2 oclock?! I was given a sarcastic Im sorry. My entire experience from the moment I walked into the bakery all the way to the owners response on this review has been disappointing. At this point Im just relieved that I didnt spend any money at this bakery.

The Gourmet Cupcake Shoppe has outstanding staff, beautiful creations, and they know how to bake for weddings. We used them for our wedding two years ago and our dessert buffet was incredible. My grandmother still talks about it to this day! If you want a lot of love and desserts that will wow your guests, go with the Gourmet Cupcake Shoppe. They make weddings extra special! My very favorite though is their gluten free cheesecake. Oh.My.God. Best cheesecake I ever ate!

Cake and cupcakes for our wedding were absolutely outstanding. Lupe was wonderful with communing with me and I had no worries about my cake and cupcakes being where they needed to be when they needed to be there. Set up was perfect and everything was exactly what I wanted. Not to mention they were extremely delicious!! Thank you for helping in making our day perfect!!

Total bummer, I ordered the pop-up dinner of pulled pork, Mac and Cheese, and corn bake.The mac and cheese was made on 4/24 and given to me on the date of experation.When we tasted the mac it was like eating poison and curdled milk, my husband gagged and was unable to even swallow it. It was horrible .At that point, we were not eating any of the food.I contacted them and was told that they had eaten from the same food and it tasted fine to them. When I explained that it was absolutely not fine for us and was clearly and was clearly old food and that I was not willing to finish the meal. I offered to bring the uneaten food it, and have them try it. That was met with a no.I suggested that if they didnt want to refund me, that I would take another pop up meal when they had something different.They refused. They offered to comp a new Mac, which I refused, I was not risking it again.So, I am out a whole meal, even though I was willing to return all the food as proof.Never again.

So sad the Saginaw location closed but happy theyre still around. GCS did my wedding cupcakes and people still rave about them. My husband and I started a tradition to get cupcakes from them for each anniversary 💖

As their products are concerned they are delicious.Now I am basing the experience with the whole crew of employees and owner. They are smug and feel entitled. When talking to them if you arent up to par with their standards its difficult to return. A mammoth amount of complacent and disconnected with their audience.Read the other negative reviews. They may have good ratings based on product but negative reviews are all the same about attitude. Come down from the clouds.

Really like their restaurant they have connected to it. I saw some cupcakes around $3 that also look very good. In the food section it is a more healthy choice but very tasty. I got something called The Harvest Bowl and you get full very fast. Theres a choice of hot and cold vegetables I just get the bowls they have designed and substitute certain things for other.

Update 10/2019: I will say that they really have turned around their customer service and brought in much friendlier employees in the last year. I have bumped my review up from 2 to 4 stars.I wish I could provide one rating for service and one for food. Unfortunately for this local establishment, the employees are downright rude and lack any customer service or personality. Every time I go here I expect things to be different but I always walk away in disbelief that a local store owner wouldn’t put more effort in finding high quality employees. The only thing they have going for them in my opinion is that they are the best donuts in town now that Cops and Donuts does not deliver to Midland stores.

Wow! I am Grand Master Angel from Angels Karate. I had the greatest experience at Green Gourmet Cafe. My student and I wanted to go out to lunch (skip class for spring break LOL) We decided to try out this place, our neighbour, across the street. The building was clean, the staff was awesome, friendly and the environment welcoming. Great place, highly recommend.

Overall the delivery went well and the end result of the wedding cake and cupcakes were great. The issue I had was with the communication. The coordinator left and there was little to no communication, I had to track them down for final details, etc. They were not very proactive through the whole process. The drop off of rental items was also a mess due to their open hours. Most people get married on Saturdays, having a drop box would be helpful as to make it easier to drop off in a timely fashion.

They did our wedding cupcakes and everything turned out great! They were super easy to work with and delivery and setup went great! Everyone was very happy with the various flavors we had picked.

This is my go-to for baked goods! I have special ordered pies for the holidays (which were delicious) and cupcakes for a baby shower (service was excellent, organized, timely, food was great - everything youd expect for such a steep price tag!) Walk in service is great, beautiful shop and usually friendly service. Cupcakes are quite sweet, so be prepared for that! You pay a little more here, but everything is consistent, creative, and friendly. They are always branching out and trying new things, usually with success. Definitely a Midland highlight.

Went in to buy some goodies for Valentines Day. Went in, no customers. Sales Associate saod I will be with you in a second as she was dialing the phone. Waited and waited while more customers arrived. She asked the person in back to come out and help. She never did. I finally left. Glad I did, what little they had did not compare to the other store across from the Post Office. Its true good thongs come to those who wait.

First couple visits were great. Ordered a special cake for a baby shower and disaster. Let them stick to what they know best, simple cupcakes, nothing more.

Not worth the trip! My mother n I stopped in on a Saturday, what a better day it was rainy n cold, Cupcakes! No! The British lady was great, great service, friendly, smiling, cupcakes where small and call large, 1/2 of cupcakes was dry, 1/2 of the donuts was dry. The mngr was there she was rude, acted like she was to busy, didnt greet you unless she had to wait on you even though she was behind the counter, a lady came in to inquire about a job and the manger never looked her in the face or ask her, her name. The mngr did tell the lady asking about a job that, She reviews the apps online and refers any good applicants to the owner. Really? Nothing Gourmet about this place, for the price you should get top of the line backed goods and great service. To Bad.

I asked for almond milk in my latte but was given regular milk and could not drink it. A refund was given.

I used to love visiting this place when I lived there and remembered them having the best cupcakes and pupcakes. Unfortunately, i was a little disappointed. Flavor was still good but the cupcakes were a little dry. Granted it was the end of the day so this could have been the issue. Our Aussie still likes the pupcakes. So still a win!

Nice variety and friendly service, but Ive bitten into a frozen cupcake... which leads me to believe theyre not fresh made daily. But the variety of flavors are great and the custom orders Ive gotten have always received rave reviews.

Great selection of healthy options. They have soups, sandwiches, smoothies, and these interesting bowls. I really enjoyed the Indian grain bowl which has curried cauliflower, cashews, carrots, roasted onionand other toppings over quinoa. Ive also had the mushroom sandwich which was pretty good.

I called wednesday to order cupcakes for saturday, a dozen. i was told not enough time to make them for saturday. i get that probably busy with graduations. but i was told that if i came in saturday there would be plenty of chocolate and vanilla ones to choose from. I got there about 11 am saturday. the only choice in vanilla was with strawberry. there were a couple chocolate choices. but i was very dissapointed in the cupcakes. they looked like meijer cupcakes, size. i remember the cupcakes being large and very Delicious. this is not the case any longer. for the money you would expect more. i almost walked out and went to meijer. i will not make another purchase there. i feel their quality has gone down hill. and not worth the money any longer. sorry to see this i really did love them before.

Im amazed at how rude people can be. I recently took my wife to the gourmet cupcake shop after a long day of pre-term labor contractions. She needed a pick me up. So we rush all the way across town, and show up right at 6pm (there closing time). After a few knocks on the door a young lady comes over to nicely but firmly tell me that she has just finished closing up the register. Honestly, I get it. What I dont understand is how anyone in this world can live with themselves when they dont have any compassion. I explained to her it had been a long day for my pregnant wife and she just said im sorry. Bottom line, Im disappointed in culture and customer service of this location. Not to mention I showed up at 6.... last time I checked, a 6pm closing time means you are still open at 6....
