Just had the worst experience trying to pickup my firearm from this gun shop. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I purchased a gun online and had to have it sent to an FFL dealer and they were the closest and had decent reviews. They called me to let me know it was there and were rude on the phone from the get go. When I get there to fill out the paperwork the guy notices I’m a dual citizen and asks me for my green card. Guess he doesn’t understand what dual citizen means but it’s in the name, I’m a dual citizen, so I don’t have nor need a green card. Then he asks me for an ID related to New Zealand, the other country I’m a citizen of, that I’ve never heard of in my life. Clearly he was making it up. My dad, brother, and I are all dual citizens and collectively own 10+ firearms and have never once been asked that. So he grabs a new form and tells me to leave the part about dual citizenship blank…RED FLAG!!! I accidentally put an address on the form that doesn’t match my license and he asked me about it. I pay bills at both addresses and my address registered with the post office matches my license, I just put the wrong one on accident, simple mistake. I asked if I could just fill out another form and both employees started to get angry and rude. Not sure why they were willing to look the other way on verifying my citizenship but got all high and mighty because I wrote down the wrong address. Just thought their customers would like to know where their priorities lie. If anyone knows if what they did was illegal, please let me know as I would be glad to report them. I think the owner realized him employee made a mistake when he told me to BS the info about my dual citizenship and found an easy out when I accidentally put the wrong address. Jokes on them. Even though I didn’t buy the firearm from them, I was about to spend hundreds of dollars on ammo and accessories for the firearm but they were extremely rude and didn’t let it get that far. Probably saw my tattoos and the dual citizenship and weren’t willing to give me the time of day. I’m a law abiding citizen of the USA and I’ve lived here since I was 4, never been a felon or been to prison, and I’ve held a steady job since I was 15. These guys are jerks. Read their other reviews, there seems to be a pattern. Go somewhere, go anywhere else…

Walked in and greeted well. My questions were quickly answered and sent on my way.They only got four stars due to pricing. As an avid reloader, I know what is market value for primers and powder, and both were roughly 30^ higher then anybody else in town. But!!! They had stock so, you pay for availability.I will return.

Love this place!!! The Owner and guys, who work here are super cool guys, was in & out of there. & got the AR I been wanting for years. so awesome will be purchasing more firearms from theses guys in the near future!!!

Saw the owner going into other stores like academy and buying up all their ammo for cheaper prices then marking up the prices here at his store 3 times higher. He would go in and come out and go back in multiple times due to the limit on ammo. Don’t waste your time or money here, find another place! They’re rude and call their customers names and price gouge like crazy.

I haven’t been here in years. Mainly because when I want to go shopping for guns or ammo it’s during the weekend when I’m not working and they are closed.

Ive been going to this local gun shop for many years now. They have always been respectful and helpful. Yes somethings might be a few dollars more then what you can buy online. But, spend your money locally, help the small businesses.

Been a Midlander for over 30 years. I remember my father not liking the atmosphere and hostility when I was young. Today? They have all sorts of ignorant signs trying to further the divide between good American people. Shameful.To salt the wound, I j ust bought a new unissued Russian SKS from online auction for waaaaay more than necessary that could have gone to them. But I chose to give my money to someone out of state and let their business suffer.

This shop is ran by an old school type guy. Hes very pleasant to deal with, and his prices are very competitive. Beats sk arms, family armory (especially), and academy. Has all the good reloading stuff, and he has been in business for a long time. I like supporting the little guy, and in this case the little guy wins in all facets anyways. I will be buying my firearms, ammunition, and accessories from him exclusively from now on. Between the walls is a top notch place.

Bought several fire arms from Jim. Always friendly, straight to the point. Always sales good quality guns no cheap junk and affordable prices. Ill keep buying from him.

Very professional gun dealer!! A great selection of guns and ammunition!! Also Tuesday afternoon gold and silver are sold here. The guns, ammo and bullion are at very good prices!! The owner is very knowledgeable!! We enjoy Between the Walls and look forward to returning!!

The gentleman who helped us was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was informative and objective, wasnt pushy or judgmental (my first gun store experience). The pricing is competitive and they order if they dont have it in store. We went to SK Arms after and I definitely preferred the overall atmosphere of Between the Walls. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience here, but then again, I knew exactly what I wanted. I had been to most of the other shops in town, no one had what I was looking for. Went in there, chatted for a minute, paid the guys, and picked up my shotgun about a week later. Paid less than online stores had listed. Don’t expect a happy, feel-good time, expect an efficient time.

Price gouging on ammo go somewhere else

Fantastic store, clean well organized and incredibly impressive and knowledgeable staff. Just bought my wife a compact Kimber, and they were incredibly helpful. Will be returning soon to buy an AR15! Dont believe the negative reviews, haters are gonna hate.

They have a wonderful inventory, fair prices... but... the older gentleman behind the counter can be very abrasive. He expects you to know EXACTLY what you want and will offer very little if any advice. Definitely not a place for a novice.If you are in the market for some high end guns and accessories, this is most definitely the place to go to. When the old guy is in a good mood you will find that he is very knowledgeable and if he doesnt have what you are looking for he can get it.If you want the happy feel good experience with smiling faces and patient people, try TMP.

Went in looking for an AR lower and found exactly what I was looking for. I dont know what all these bad reviews are about. Both old guys seemed helpful and NOT rude. Will definitely be going back to get some ammo that I found to be cheaper than anywhere else.👍👍

I dont know what these other people are talking about. He was super nice and very helpful. Even with 10 plus customers in his little store, he helped every one of us very quickly.

Owner and staff are not rude, they are so busy that they do not have time to wait on you to figure out what you want. Very straight forward and they do not BS around. I like the small place.

Upon inheriting way more guns than I personally needed. I was referred to Between the Walls by a couple of friends and was very pleased with the no BS, up front honesty and offer on what I had brought in.

JIM( the owner is an ASS). The other guy in there is nice. Jim just wants to make money and could give a rats ass about the customer.Really gouges prices. I was recently charged $50 for a 10 min simple gun transfer. Other places charge $15- $25. I will NEVER go there again.Try SK firearms on midland drive and the loop behind ATT&T. THEY ARE NICE.

I have been shopping here for many years. I bought my first side arm here back when Texas first started issuing CHLs. I really like this shop. Knowledgeable, helpful staff.

I have no clue what everyone is complaining about, and it almost turned me off from even going to the store but once I was there the reviews couldnt be further from the truth. My first visit I asked for a specific pistol, I was told he was sold out but would be getting it next week. I called back the next week and he told me he had one in so I headed down. When I arrived he was talking to a couple that had to have had at least 10 questions for him while I was there and not once did I hear an attitude, in fact he was answering every question and explaining in detail great answers for this couple. I made my purchase and walked out extremely happy. Plus they were 45 dollars less then the big box guys. Will be returning for sure.

Dont mention you enjoy SK Arms. These guys know their guns but are complete jerks if you buy anything elsewhere. If you ask for something and they dont have it, they can be rude. Bottom line? Theyre too old for this decade.Traded a gun in brand new in box, NEVER shot, and he discount it almost 50%.Mentioned I should have bought from him, and said he always has cheapest price. ......He didnt, and made up an excuse after I showed him receipt.Stay away. Use Academy or SK Arms.

Always has the ammo in stock that I need (at a lower price). I drove all over Midland/Odessa pricing out a new AR-15. They were several hundred dollars cheaper. Theyve always have been professional and polite.

I went here because I wanted to help the little man out instead of buying from a big box store. Well I didnt buy from him. Prices were higher than everyone else he was super cocky but he was knowledgeable. I wish I read the reviews before stepping inside. One good things is that he was willing to order my gun for me but didnt know how long it would take to get there. I went to Academy they got it for me the next day. I hope the owner reads the reviews and improves from them. Business owner to business owner to you need to focus on customer service and do some price shopping your competition.

Good guys. Very competitive prices. We just bought a Benelli SuperSport and none of the online prices were better. Very nice guys to deal with. I expect the one star reviews were from some of the idiots that give gun owners a bad name. Honestly I like to see gun shops turn their kind away.

I have no idea what these people are talking about. I went there amd I asked about what gun I should get for hog hunting and big game hunting in general and the man behind the counter helped me out. I bought a long gun that same day and picked it several days later. Very straightforward salesmanship no bs. Everyone who works here knows more about guns than you do and theyre willing to get you what you want if you arent such a bleeding heart *ussy

I bought multiple guns from these folks in 2008. At least 6 that I can remember. I called them this morning to see if they could help me with a value on one of the guns that I purchased there and the first guy that answered the phone was a complete jackass who passed me off to another guy who acted completely put out with even having to speak to me. I dont live in Midland any more. However, if you do the only reason I would see to buy from these guys is for a low price. If you want anything past that go to the big box store. Funny, guys like these wonder why they are losing all of their business to the big box folks.....

Jim has always been fair to me and Ive always got what I wanted from his store. I read these negative posts about his store and attacking him personally and they couldnt be further from the truth. Complaints about high prices and bad service come from amateurs that feel the need to be stroked and or acknowledged in some special way because they are out buying a firearm. Its ridiculous and beyond childish. I have purchased many weapons from Jim and I have never paid over or near the suggested retail price for those weapons. Jim runs a business to sell guns and ammo and if you dont like the prices, go elsewhere is what I say. Or better yet, go get your own FFL and see what you would charge to do business.

DONT WALK! RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!The owner is extremely rude! Walked in to buy a handgun and asked to see it to the gentleman behind the counter. I looked at the gun for maybe 20 seconds and then the owner walked up and asked to see the handgun, So me thinking he wanted to enlighten me about the guns features I politely gave it back to him. He then stuck the gun back under the counter said thanks and walked away from me. I was in disbelief and so was the other customer that was standing next to me. I then proceeded to ask to see it and it again because I was going to actually make a purchase but what did he do? Ignore me and walk into the back of his shop. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!

Just by the reviews I will never step foot in this place! I have a very large customer base and I will surely let them know to read the reviews before go by there. Thanks for all the reviews, yall saved me time and money!

GO TO SK ARMS!!!!! Went in with my father for him to purchase a pistol, already knew which pistol he wanted (S&W Bodyguard 380). The two grumpy, rude old men behind the counter called us every name in the book besides stupid. Told us that I was asking for a piece of crap gun that I wont be able to shoot and that we needed to go with a glock because thats what everyone carried now days. Go to SK ARMS, they have great customer service and actually take care of their customers.

Gun control laws that dont exist.  Really?!  Its hard enough to legally get a firearm, now these guys are creating their own laws and being total Jerks about it.  Figured most gun shops would want to do everything they could to sell guns to law abiding citizens.    I have never been treated so rudely.  I was visiting my elderly mother and we went in looking at guns.  At first they were extremely helpful and friendly and I found a long gun I liked, but in the wrong caliber.  I asked the man if he had one in the caliber I wanted and he said no, but that he could in one to three days.  I told him that I liked the price but that I had to head back home to Alaska in the morning.   He then said, I would not sell it to you anyway.  I was thrown back by how he said it, and asked him why and he said because I was from out of state in a rude almost hostile tone.  I should have realized i was dealing with a fragile person then and left. I politely said in a questioning submissive tone, its legal to sell long guns to out of state residents, just not handgun, isnt it?  This really set him off while he was holding the rifle and he stated in an extremely hostile tone and voice that he knew the laws and that he refuses to sell to anyone that is not from an adjacent state.  With him holding the rifle and going nuts, it really frieked out my mother.  I was shocked that this guy was loosing it without provocation and got my mother out of there immediately without saying another word or doing anything that could provoke this hostile man any further than he already was. This guy was nuts and the other old guy working there did nothing to calm or help the situation. It was really pretty feaky.If their rules prevent law abiding citizens from purchasing anything, they can at least say it nicely. There was no justification to humiliate me like that, or to scare an elderly lady like that.  These guys are Jerks and probably shouldnt be allowed to have guns if they cant control their unbridled hostility.

Went in there and asked about some Mossberg 500 parts, and the owner says We dont carry anything for the Mossberg 500, because it doesnt sell. If it sold Id stock the parts. People around here dont buy Mossbergs, they only buy 870s I asked about ACE stocks for AR-15s and they shrugged and said theyd never heard of them. Horrible first impression guys!
